Some of the best kbbq I've had! Upon entering the restaurant is very nice and has a nice little waiting area in case there is a bit of a wait. We were seated right away though. The staff were very nice and on top of it! Getting in orders and helping us out with what to order and how much to order for our group size. So that was very helpful! Very on top of water and refills on drinks as well! The food was amazing! The appetizers were so good! Some of the best lemon pepper wings I've had so definitely check those out! They offer ramen and fries on their appetizer menu so that's different but very cool. The meat itself was fresh and well marinated and very good They offer really fun and different alcohol drinks to try out as well so worth looking into when visiting The only thing would be some of the tables don't have vents directly over them, so you might get smoked out by the table next to you. Not a big deal, they're pretty on top of grill changes and may only be for a second The have high ceilings so most of the smoke goes straight up but in our case came over to our table. OK, so I'm from the Bay Area and I've eaten had some wonderful and delicious Korean barbecue places. This place is reasonably priced. I do have to say so that's OK. I believe it was about $33 or $35 or something around there for the regular menu. I put ourselves on the waitlist for Friday night, but you definitely did not need a reservation or if we put on a waitlist. We walked right in and it was just a couple minutes and we were set at our table. I am used to sitting down and instantly having all these different sides, presented to us. This place is definitely a little bit different. You have to order a certain way, which kind of threw me off. But it definitely helps with the waste of food. I do have to say the ambience is pretty cool. It reminds me of Gen Z, which is in Concord. Like it was a cool chill modern restaurant. The sides that we ordered definitely were interesting, they were not the usual sides that we would order at other Korean barbecue places. Their potato thing is incredibly nasty so do not order that. Their chicken wings were actually pretty good a little bit on the crunchy side. We ordered the Bulgogi spicy, we ordered the different types of bacon, we had the salad, which was pretty good, we ordered the Soju with a couple of beers, which were good. The server was fast, the food came out fast, the drinks were a little late, but that's OK. But I like is that our server came by and made sure that we did not want to order anything else or if we did, he was really nice really knowledgeable and really great at changing our grill as well. We loved and supported Daikon since day 1. We were even coming almost every other week. It gives my husband and I a break from having to cook at home with a busy household, having two kids under 2. However, we were disappointed during our last visit. We went to celebrate my mom and dad's wedding anniversary. 4 adults, 1 2-year old and my 4 month old in a stroller. Our server was very efficient and attentive, no complaints there. When we got the check and paid, I noticed they charged us for "party of 6". Approached our server and said it was her manager's idea to add it on. It was never mentioned to us before paying, good thing I looked after getting my receipt. Spoke with the manager, he was nice enough to talk to us but he couldnt justify why he had to charge us for party of 6. On the menu, it says something like "all seated individuals are charged". I get my 2 year old is seated in a high chair. But my 4 month old is in her stroller, so how is she counted? All the manager could tell us was they are making changes to the policy, it's also written on the menu (yeah but my 4 month old is not seated), and so we dont have to worry about gratuity (I also paid a good amount of tip). The manager was kind enough to refund us the extra charge, he said he'll do it just this time. He was still missing the point but I didn't want to argue any further. We loved this place but now we're almost convinced this is not baby friendly for us tired and exhausted parents. This review is based on 3 separate visits as I was worried I was being too judgmental the first time. Sometimes I wish we could give fractions of stars so that we could round up or round down to help provide and provide a little more accurate rating. Since I cannot do that, they're gonna get a one star, but I aim to be very purposeful with that one star. The concept of all you can eat is great. Love the food that I cook myself in their facility. Unfortunately it all hinges on the food being brought out to me. There is very often a delay in the food being brought out and items that are often forgotten and require multiple request to have them brought out. Again this rating is not based on anyway visit but 3 separate occasions spread out over time with different servers and in different parts of the restaurant. It often feels that I have to fight for my waiter's attention. Maybe they are always short staffed. WARNING: check your receipt before you add any tip! They already added tip prior though we only had 2 adults, but they charged an automatic tip! I would have never noticed until my friend said something! I was looking at the tip options from the screen on their payment system and I was so confused as to you why there were only options for "1, 2, 3%" for example. In my head I'm like is is missing a zero after these single numbers? Then my friend looked at the printed receipt they left on the table and it was already pre tipped! We were not even notified nor did our server even say anything until my friend ended up bring it up and our server then says "oh they may have added tip." So my friend confronted the manager (our who ever was in charge that day) and she didn't give a good reason as to why we were pre tipped when it clearly says for a party of 6 on the receipt, which we were not! We were told that the tip does get split amongst the the staff. Would have gave them higher stars if they didn't already pre tip our table since the KBBQ was better than other AYCE spots in NorCal. Tip culture is too crazy nowadays. I'm usually a high tipper to support servers getting what they deserve as it's known they may not always get fair wages, but on my terms and not a made up reason and tricking us to tip more! Since our server was decent at serving us (though she didn't tell us we were pre tipped), we did end up giving extra in cash so that extra tip it doesn't get split, but still upsetting that this happened without warning. What is also upsetting is I assume this spot is the same owner as the one in Sac (Natomas), Minnie, and I have followed her journey and supported every restaurant she's ever owned since her beginnings. If she does own this location, staff needs to be retrained and things should have been explained in the beginning or correct the fact that we were only 2 adults and being charged automatic gratuity is crazy when it clearly says for party of 6 on their menu and receipt. Besides this tip fiasco, the food was actually pretty good, tasty and meat was good quality. Side dishes were very flavorful and they also have sushi as well, which we didn't get. Price as fair for the quality that you get and worth it despite the tip issue. As a repeat customer, I learned the hard way today, 2/13/2026 at 11:32 am after they opened at 11:30 am. I arrived 30 minutes early (1st car in thr parking lot and) and stood at the door at door 5-minutes early to be the first one served. I was starving and craving for Daikon KBBQ. Put my name on the waitlist because they weren't quite ready. Went to the restroom to wash my hands. I was approached by an employee telling me they have a policy that they don't serve party of one during the weekend because of the volume of busyness on the weekend. I had a great experience here. I came on a Friday afternoon with 5 friends and it wasn't too busy. The entrance is super inviting and when you see the grills and seating area, you know you're going to have a good time with your group. The staff was friendly and engaging with us. We came here on a Sunday night and joined the waitlist through Yelp while driving up there to save some time. The interior was nice and clean. Employees were attentive for the first couple of rounds, but after that, the service got super slow, and I'm not sure if it's because it's close to closing or what. The meats were well seasoned and OK to my liking, and I just wish they had more seafood options. A little bit disappointing was when my Dad was trying to go to the restroom before we left, and he was told that they're "already closed" and he can't use it anymore. There were still a few more customers inside, and my parents live 25 minutes away from here, and for the restroom to be "closed" is absurd. For proteins we opted for all beef this time and chose the bulgogi, short rib, Hawaiian marinated steak, and the brisket. The brisket is pretty plain and needs a dipping sauce. For dipping sauce they offer sesame oil/salt, Sriracha, soy sauce, and Sambal. All are great just depends what you're in the mood for. The meat is brought out to your table which you cook yourself to your own liking with the grill in the middle. For dessert definitely get the sesame balls. I've been here a few times as it's the only place in Vallejo with this Korean BBQ concept, and I love me a good AYCE KBBQ. Sometimes the service can be bad, but my most recent visit made me want to write a review for this place! I think the server's name was Keelan? He was great!! Attentive, fast, and even refilled two of my favorite banchans for me without asking (ily). My bf and I were never left with hangrily waiting and wanting anything from him. Our go to orders: *Pork Belly - First thing to cook so it coats and flavors the cooking pan so our meat doesnt get stuck to it. *Brisket - A must. *Boneless Short Ribs - Always had beautiful marbling, easy to eat, tender. *LA Galbi - A must. *Japchae - Some days it's really flavorful, others it's a dry. I heard the lines can be up to 2 hours or more so we arrived at 5 PM. The wait was less than five minutes. The restaurant only takes reservations for 8 or more persons. It's a first come first serve. To avoid long wait times, I suggest going before 12 pm or before 4-6 PM. I went on a Saturday. By 6 PM the restaurant was half filled and by 6:30 PM, there was a waiting line. Our Server was quick and accurate with our order. Some of the dishes came within five minutes and tables were frequently cleared of dirty dishes. It was clockwork - staff was efficient - each person knew exactly what their job was and completed it with courtesy and professionalism. To gain a good experience, you need to know your cuts of meats - some parts of the animal are tougher than others. The cut of meat you choose will determine your dining experience. If you don't know, ask your server. Non marinated meats are good with all the side dishes given to you. Marinated meats are good to eat with rice, lettuce, rice paper and noodles. The only drawback is the women's toilet stalls. They are so tiny and small that I can hardly squeeze myself into the stall without bumping my knee - clearance from stall door to toilet bowl is probably 12 inches or less. read more

For those familiar with Vallejo, you know the options are pretty limited. Daikon took over the old Black Angus location--if anyone remembers that spot. The décor is modern, but you can still see traces of the old Black Angus layout. Not a big deal, just an observation. There are two choices: the Premium AYCE or the standard AYCE. The server was great--she was handling a lot on her own, but she was on point. When it comes to all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, it's hard to compare with other spots, but you can usually tell by the quality of the meats. For Vallejo, I'd say it's a solid addition. For the meats, we tried the garlic soy pork belly, Hawaiian marinated steak, brisket, and pork bulgogi--my favorite was the garlic soy. Over all, we got what we paid for at a decent price. Plenty to choose from. Wait list wasn't too bad for a Friday. Food overall was 3.7 in rating. Our server, Skyler was really nice but, he was over worked. We counted how many tables visited before us and we counted 7 which included a big party in the room behind us. Came here on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. We joined the waitlist once we were within the miles it let us join and got seated a few minutes once we arrived. Our server was really nice and very fast at checking up on us and taking our order. The brisket and I think beef belly and there was another but it was like galbi but without the bones I forgot what it was called but those were my favorites and we kept ordering those meats!! The sides were good too. The macaroni salad they had as a side paired well with everything I kept asking for more on that. The only thing is cheese corn is my favorite when I see it on the menu but when we got it there was almost no cheese on the corn so it was basically a plate of corn. Still good though just there was no cheese. Loved that it's an all you can eat KBBQ and sushi and I was definitely super full afterwards!! read more

First time at this kbbq restaurant. Overall really enjoyed our dining experience. Been to a lot of kbbq restaurants, but this location stood out the most because of the ambiance & their very low smoke vents near the grill so you don't smell like bbq after eating which is such a plus for a kbbq restaurant. The food here is really good. Parking is also a plus. Servers were also nice & attentive. The unlimited sushi & meat was very worth it since foods came out fresh! read more
