I love this place! I'm definitely a regular here. The food is always good and fresh and the drinks are super good especially during happy hour. They also have some of the best sushi! I also love the service from the staff, but my favorite waitress in particular is Val! She's always extremely attentive and quick With our needs, and she also goes above and beyond to make sure we're comfortable when seated. I always appreciate her and she even makes sure to check on our tables often enough to where we aren't waiting long at all ! There's another younger waiter who I'm not sure the name of but he also does a great job of making us feel welcomed. Definitely a 10/10 every visit. read more

While in town to visit family, we made it a point to visit Daikon as my family had nothing but good things to say about it. We didn't make reservations but walked in for dinner with a total of 7 of us. While still waiting a tad for the rest of our party, seating came quickly once they arrived. There was a Premium AYCE and there was a Supreme AYCE. We opted for the Premium which still had a nice selection of appetizer, proteins and sides. There's so much to choose from already from the Premium AYCE. We ordered their cheese corn, fried dumplings, egg souffle, sesame balls, garlic noodles, Japchae, fish cake, rice, salad, rice paper, Pork belly, Garlic soy pork belly, Pork bulgogi, brisket, beef belly, bulgogi, top blade steak, short ribs, Galbi and more! Everything was flavorful and tender. The service at Daikon was fast, helpful and friendly. There's plenty of seating in the restaurant too. Everything was just absolutely delicious and we left with our bellies full and satisfied. Love to see a new kbbq spot in this area! Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait, which was surprising. Super nice interior and large group friendly. At a first glance of the menu, it seems pretty standard to most kbbq places. I didn't really see Wagyu or noticeably special meat options even on the premium menu, so I'd recommend getting the base menu. Definitely on the pricier side at $36.99 from Friday to Sunday for what you get. You do have an option to upgrade for more seafood and sushi / nigiri options! There were lots of appetizers to choose from, but we got the lemon pepper wings which were a hittt. Crunchy and juicy! They had banchan available like your kimchi, cucumber kimchi, Mac salad, sprouts, broccoli, and potato. I'm a huge fan of the potato side, so I was glad that our waiter let us refill specific sides that we wanted haha. Other than that, pretty decent selection. Rice was on the drier side. Loved ordering their beef belly, beef brisket, and garlic thin sliced pork belly. Their house sauce was also fire. I've been to the Daikon in Sac many times and love it. This is my second time at this location. We came around 7:30 PM on Saturday as a party of three and were immediately sat. The meats are high quality and delicious. This time, we went with the supreme to try the carpaccios and other supreme meats. I think moving forward, we will stick with the premium ayce as it has everything we usually order already. The carpaccios and other meat items were okay, not good enough for us to get supreme again. Both times, service have been great. Our table was constantly getting pre-bussed and the food comes out fast. Some of the best kbbq I've had! Upon entering the restaurant is very nice and has a nice little waiting area in case there is a bit of a wait. We were seated right away though. The staff were very nice and on top of it! Getting in orders and helping us out with what to order and how much to order for our group size. So that was very helpful! We traveled 6 hours specifically looking forward to eating at Daikon. Having been to the Sacramento location many times, we were excited for a great meal, but today was by far the worst experience we've ever had. Our server, Joe, was rude, attentive to nothing, and completely ruined our meal: * Equipment Issues Ignored: The grill never reached the proper temperature. When we asked for a grill change, Joe never returned, forcing us to use the same barely-working grill the entire time. * Incorrect Orders: We ordered the Supreme package, but only received two orders of meat--neither of which was what we actually requested. * Rude & Pushy Behavior: Midway through our meal while we were still clearly eating, Joe randomly turned off our grill without asking and rudely asked if we wanted sesame balls to hurry us out. It was clear he was either completely untrained or just didn't care. After a 6-hour drive, receiving this level of service was beyond frustrating. We definitely won't be back. read more

OK, so I'm from the Bay Area and I've eaten had some wonderful and delicious Korean barbecue places. This place is reasonably priced. I do have to say so that's OK. I believe it was about $33 or $35 or something around there for the regular menu. I put ourselves on the waitlist for Friday night, but you definitely did not need a reservation or if we put on a waitlist. We walked right in and it was just a couple minutes and we were set at our table. I am used to sitting down and instantly having all these different sides, presented to us. This place is definitely a little bit different. You have to order a certain way, which kind of threw me off. But it definitely helps with the waste of food. I do have to say the ambience is pretty cool. It reminds me of Gen Z, which is in Concord. Like it was a cool chill modern restaurant. The sides that we ordered definitely were interesting, they were not the usual sides that we would order at other Korean barbecue places. Their potato thing is incredibly nasty so do not order that. Their chicken wings were actually pretty good a little bit on the crunchy side. We ordered the Bulgogi spicy, we ordered the different types of bacon, we had the salad, which was pretty good, we ordered the Soju with a couple of beers, which were good. The server was fast, the food came out fast, the drinks were a little late, but that's OK. But I like is that our server came by and made sure that we did not want to order anything else or if we did, he was really nice really knowledgeable and really great at changing our grill as well. We were told that the last seating was at 9:15 p.m., so we arrived accordingly. Our server, Kirstin S, provided poor service and was largely inattentive throughout the meal. One of the first items we ordered was the egg soufflé and kimchi soup. After waiting quite a while, we asked about it multiple times and were repeatedly told it was "on its way." Unfortunately, it never arrived. When we brought it up at the end of the meal, Kirstin S, insisted that the egg soufflé had already been served, even though no one at our table had received it. It was frustrating to be told we were mistaken rather than having the issue acknowledged. We then spoke with the manager, Valerie, hoping to find a reasonable resolution. We understood that the kitchen was closing and the dish could no longer be prepared, but the only compensation offered was a $20 credit. More disappointing than the credit itself was the lack of accountability and genuine concern for our experience. The biggest issue wasn't the missing egg soufflé--it was the overall lack of communication, attentiveness, and customer service. For a large party, we expected better coordination and follow-through. Based on this experience, I would not bring my family back or recommend this restaurant for larger groups. I've gotten their LA galbi, bulgogi, spicy shrimp, thin cut pork belly and a couple of their appetizers and man everything is just hellla good! I also appreciate how well ventilated this spot is. You can leave and hardly smell like smokey BBQ. If anything the interior is actually kind of too cold LOL. The service has also been great during all my visits there. This review is based on 3 separate visits as I was worried I was being too judgmental the first time. Sometimes I wish we could give fractions of stars so that we could round up or round down to help provide and provide a little more accurate rating. Since I cannot do that, they're gonna get a one star, but I aim to be very purposeful with that one star. The concept of all you can eat is great. Love the food that I cook myself in their facility. Unfortunately it all hinges on the food being brought out to me. There is very often a delay in the food being brought out and items that are often forgotten and require multiple request to have them brought out. Again this rating is not based on anyway visit but 3 separate occasions spread out over time with different servers and in different parts of the restaurant. It often feels that I have to fight for my waiter's attention. Maybe they are always short staffed. WARNING: check your receipt before you add any tip! They already added tip prior though we only had 2 adults, but they charged an automatic tip! I would have never noticed until my friend said something! I was looking at the tip options from the screen on their payment system and I was so confused as to you why there were only options for "1, 2, 3%" for example. In my head I'm like is is missing a zero after these single numbers? Then my friend looked at the printed receipt they left on the table and it was already pre tipped! We were not even notified nor did our server even say anything until my friend ended up bring it up and our server then says "oh they may have added tip." So my friend confronted the manager (our who ever was in charge that day) and she didn't give a good reason as to why we were pre tipped when it clearly says for a party of 6 on the receipt, which we were not! We were told that the tip does get split amongst the the staff. Would have gave them higher stars if they didn't already pre tip our table since the KBBQ was better than other AYCE spots in NorCal. Tip culture is too crazy nowadays. I'm usually a high tipper to support servers getting what they deserve as it's known they may not always get fair wages, but on my terms and not a made up reason and tricking us to tip more! Since our server was decent at serving us (though she didn't tell us we were pre tipped), we did end up giving extra in cash so that extra tip it doesn't get split, but still upsetting that this happened without warning. What is also upsetting is I assume this spot is the same owner as the one in Sac (Natomas), Minnie, and I have followed her journey and supported every restaurant she's ever owned since her beginnings. If she does own this location, staff needs to be retrained and things should have been explained in the beginning or correct the fact that we were only 2 adults and being charged automatic gratuity is crazy when it clearly says for party of 6 on their menu and receipt. Besides this tip fiasco, the food was actually pretty good, tasty and meat was good quality. Side dishes were very flavorful and they also have sushi as well, which we didn't get. Price as fair for the quality that you get and worth it despite the tip issue. As for the service, though it was very busy night, we didn't wait too long to get our food each time we put an order and our server was attentive (thus why we gave extra cash on the side). As a repeat customer, I learned the hard way today, 2/13/2026 at 11:32 am after they opened at 11:30 am. I arrived 30 minutes early (1st car in thr parking lot and) and stood at the door at door 5-minutes early to be the first one served. I was starving and craving for Daikon KBBQ. Put my name on the waitlist because they weren't quite ready. Went to the restroom to wash my hands. I was approached by an employee telling me they have a policy that they don't serve party of one during the weekend because of the volume of busyness on the weekend. I know how to cook, but he gave tips on the best way to grill certain cuts that we aren't familiar with. Employees were attentive for the first couple of rounds, but after that, the service got super slow, and I'm not sure if it's because it's close to closing or what. A little bit disappointing was when my Dad was trying to go to the restroom before we left, and he was told that they're "already closed" and he can't use it anymore.
