Finally tried their Shrimp Salad. It might be the best salad I've ever had. The dressing was savory, citrusy, spicy with some sweetness. Omg. Would go great with some sticky rice.

This spot is a hidden gem in the AC area. IYKYK! This Lao/Thai fusion cuisine truck is hidden behind a casino. I ordered the pork Banh Mi which was only $7. The patte was crispy and I love the amount of veggies that they placed in the sandwich. Honestly my favorite Banh Mi in the area. Try it out if you like. :)

Super solid for the area! And still as good as oc! Friendly service, two dishes ready within 10 min Maybe 3-4 lbs of food for $30!! Chicken pad thai 4.5/5 $15 Maybe not as good as the first time, but noodles weren't overcooked and dish full of flavor. I asked for medium spice and they sautéed it into the noodles, there is a slight burn. It also tastes delish with their spicy lemongrass chili oil. Def one of the better pad Thais I've had ! One portion is def 3 or so servings. Khao piek $14 5/5 Still comforting! They separate broth and chicken from the gelatinous noodle soup. Homey and maybe 2.5 portions. The texture of the noodles is a good balance of chew and softness. They're potentially more chewy, but I'm a fan of that. Was debating on getting another portion before Friday ends lol

I've had Kob's Kitchen dozens of times, and it's consistently delicious and addicting. The Lao sausage is very flavorful, but the sauce that comes with the meal is the secret sauce. The combination of the flavor from the sausage, special sauce and sticky rice is perfect. The fried chicken is great, too. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but it definitely fulfills your chicken wing fix if you want another side to your meal. The pad Thai is delicious with a combination of sweet and sour after sprinkling a bit of lime. The magic is when you combine the Lao sausage, papaya salad (not pictured), pad Thai and the secret sauce. The papaya salad is a must-try. I usually get medium spicy. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for the different flavor profiles and overwhelmingly delicious spices and flavors. For American Canyon, I don't think many restaurants can hang with Kob's Kitchen...and this is all out of a food truck with limited space. Service is quick. Wait time after placing an order over the phone can be 20-30 minutes. I highly recommend calling to place an order versus just showing up to order. Kob's Kitchen is a food truck located in a casino parking lot, so there are always people placing orders or waiting for an order. So, the next time you want a delicious southeast asian meal, Kob's is that spot! You're also supporting a small family business.

Khao Piak- chicken noodle soup. Absolutely delicious!

They were very nice and accommodating. For the Khao Piak, I asked them to put the noodles on the side. Then she gave me the raw noodle (still had light flour on them and gave me instructions on how to cook everything when I'm ready to eat. It came out fresh and absolutely delicious!!!!

Yelp did right here. Always looking for some good food on our path from Benicia to our Napa place and this is our new go to spot. Followed yelp directions and ordered papaya salad, Nam Khoi and pad Thai. All awesome. Stoked on this find.

WOW, if you are in the area you have to go here! Even if you aren't I would say it's worth the trip because this is some of the best food I've ever had. The food was so flavorful and the portions were such a great value. Friendly service too! I will definitely be back. I got the beef pad Thai and the pork bahn mi which were both delicious.

This food truck is tucked away in the parking lot of the casino but conviently located off the highway! The pad thai was very flavorful and came with lime and a bit of veggies for that extra crunch. The pad thai came with tofu in addition to the chicken, which was a present suprise! Thai tea was also amazing-- not watered down like many other establishments nowadays. Plenty of easy parking and even has a protected outdoor eating area.

Solid five stars! This place is honestly such a hidden gem. They're located in the parking lot of a casino so it's super low key. The owners are the kindest people ever, I've been here a few times and they're always so genuine. The food was absolutely amazing, I've tried their papaya salad, lao sausage, fried chicken, nam khao, and thai tea. Their Thai tea is a must order, it has the perfect balance of sweet/creamy. Their nam khao has a super generous amount of fermented sausage in it and I love how you can really taste the coconut flavor in the deep fried rice bits. The leafy greens they serve with this dish are also super fresh. Their Lao sausage is on the more herbally side and the portion they provide is huge! It's served with fresh sticky rice and this delicious spicy green sauce. There's a comfortable enclosed tent area right next to the food truck for you to enjoy your food fresh. I appreciate how it's fully shaded and enclosed so you don't feel the heat and it's super clean. This is my go to Lao/Thai spot in Solano county, we'll definitely be back!

I imagine it can still work for a larger party by pushing tables together and using the stool/bench seating too. I didn't have any issue finding a spot to dine in for weekday lunch. Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too! Between the four of us, we shared a variety of dishes, including their Champa Wings, Nam Kaow, Lao Sausages, Yum Nom Tok, Champa's Fried Rice and Pad Thai. I'm absolutely blown away. I was surprised about how good everything was. Might have been the best…read morefood I've had this year. My family ordered 1 appetizer, 4 entrees, and 2 drinks, all shared, and all 4 of us agreed that EVERY single item was phenomenal. That has absolutely NEVER happened before. At most restaurants, there's always at least one thing that someone doesn't like, and often multiple things that multiple people don't like. Not the case here. The appetizer was the spicy basil wings. Very good to start. But little did I know what was coming my way. The drinks were Thai tea and lychee limeade. The Thai tea was normal. As in good, I liked it. The lychee limeade was amazing, had to order another one. I would like to try the mango next time (there will definitely be a next time). Very sour, which I love. I hate lemonade that's not sour enough. Oh and that too, I usually hate limeade, don't really care for lemonade, and don't drink soda. I usually only drink water, juice, or tea (no coffee, alcohol rarely). So that's saying something. The Laos fried spring roll entree was really good. I always liked fried rolls but something about this tasted better. They were Laotian rolls, so maybe that was part of the difference from the ones you get from Pho restaurants. The duck over rice was amazing. I'm not usually one to pick duck, I don't mind it but I usually don't order it, but this was my mom's choice and it was really good. I like the sauce too. The Panang duck curry was so good. My mom doesn't even like curry and she liked it. And the Chiang Mai soup dish, I've never had anything like it. It was still hot after, I don't know, 20 minutes maybe? At the bottom especially. We all ate this together at the end, while the other dishes were in the order I listed them for myself (mostly, kinda switched around a bit eating family style), and generally the same for everyone else. I tasted a tiny bit of the soup in the beginning and thought it was nothing special, like when my spoon was clean it was the first thing I scooped. Only the soup though, none of the stuff inside. Honestly I didn't read what was in it, some crispy noodle or something. I was not sure if I would like it but my sister said she had it in Thailand and liked it so if I didn't like it she could eat it. That ended up not being a problem. Okay so anyway, we started on the soup at the end. To start, it was pretty good. Somehow, every bite we took tasted better and better, for at least like 5-10 bites maybe. At that point, I was thinking it's the best thing I've ever tasted. (But of course that's probably not actually true, and I'm just falling for the recency bias, kind of like how my favorite song changes all the time.) Never had anything like it. I've been missing out. But wow, I have to come back. And I highly recommend this place. Life changing experience honestly. Like if you asked me right now if I wanted to get Japanese or Korean (my other favorites) food or this, I would go here. I honestly wanted more of every single dish, especially the fried spring rolls, duck over rice, duck curry, and soup. Wait a second... that's all the entrees we ordered! Also the limeade. I need to get that again. But I also want to try other stuff next time so I'm torn. I literally need all 4 of these dishes again so I don't know what to do. I hope these dishes aren't seasonal or otherwise temporary. I noticed the menu had a month and year listed (I think it said April 2026 and it's May 3 2026 today) so I believe they update it frequently. If I lived closer I would come 20 times in a row and try every single thing, but unfortunately I live in San Ramon so it's not like I'm trying to go to Oakland every day. Soon though. My sister lives there, if I were her I would go here every day until I was sick of it, if that could ever be possible. I don't know if I could ever enjoy other food this much again. I was also completely sober so it wasn't like I had munchies or anything (felt I should specify being a young adult who grew up in California). Hmm, that gives me an idea for the future though. Even the pricing is fair (no dishes over $30), and the place is nice. Great service too. The only drawbacks are small tables for parties over 4 people, and it's REALLY loud in the restaurant, but well worth it. If you are sensitive to noise I'd recommend earplugs, earmuffs, earbuds, headphones, or something. The place is also relatively small. I'd recommend making a reservation if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night. It got busy, very busy. Well our reservation was at 6 and it wasn't crowded yet, a couple tables open, but by the time our food came out the place was absolutely packed and I think people without reservations had to wait to sit. I'm not sure though, I was too focused on the amazing food to care. Anyway, once again, highly recommend and I will be back.
