May not be your first choice because of the location. Don't let the location or the outside looks of the place fool you. Inside is a quaint little place. Beautiful paintings are on the walls. Nicely decorated. Not only was the food delicious, everyone was very kind, welcoming and friendly. The food was very fresh, flavorful and the presentation was excellent. Great portions. The deserts are delightful. We had the fried banana with ice cream and the sweet rice with mango. The prices are in the range of other places.

Best Thai food in Vallejo, hands down! My go-tos are the chicken yellow curry and massaman curry. The consistency is not too watery but just the right thick. Filled with flavor and good balance of chicken and potatoes. Moo Yang was delicious, the sauce that came with it was AMAZING, I could drink that stuff! Love the soju flavors and dessert options a well. Can't go wrong with their mango sticky rice! Only downside is it's on the not-so-great part of town so I wouldn't leave any valuables in the car or park as close to the front as possible.

Thai spot in Vallejo! Came here during a recent girls trip to Napa but we stayed at a spot in Vallejo. After a long day of travel, we settled into our airbnb and were looking for dinner. After a quick spot on Yelp, we found this spot for takeout to order and eat back home. Ordering was easy enough and we were able to pick up easily, as well. The food was overall good, we ordered the yellow and red curry, Tom Kha Gia, and the roti. The only thing that was a bit off was the roti which was a bit different than what we were all used to, being a bit more greasy but overall, a solid Thai spot if you're in the area.

Wow!!! I am so glad to have found this hidden gem. I was looking for Thai food since my usual spot closed and this place had my belly happy! The yellow curry was piping hot fresh and is some of the best tasting curry's I've had in a long time. The depth in flavor really caught me by surprise. I whole heartedly want to try to the rest of their curry styles. Pad Thai did have a slight spice to it, but it wasn't spicy to where no one could eat it. It was more of a subtle, yet I know it's there. Service was fast as I ordered over the phone, but you could also order online as well. It was ready in ten minutes, but it was middle of the week in the middle of the day. It is on the end of Sonoma Blvd so keep in mind the parking is on the street. The inside looked clean and well managed with a decent amount of seating. I would definitely be back

Cozy, mom&pop style Thai restaurant in downtown Vallejo. Went there for lunch with a couple of friends, its decorated nicely inside, and you can seat yourself if its not busy. Our waiter was friendly and slightly confused by one of my friends commenting on how much he liked the spiderman decoration in the men's restroom; if they had followed the same theme in the women's. He laughed and said no....they thought about Barbie or Hello Kitty...but decided to stay neutral. Getting to our food....I loved what I ordered which was the Thai basil chicken...the sauce was so flavorful, couldve used just a little more steamed rice to mop it up, but tasty none the less. Overall good experience.... Ciao for now

This place is fantastic! I went for St. Patti's Enjoyed myself and totally forgot to take the Mango Coconut dessert picture. This was so filling (in a good, not weighed down way). Family owned, from Thailand authentic anddd- sOo worth it!

I was visiting with some family and after Yelping we decided to try Thai Place. We were not disappointed. I Highly recommend the lunch specials. We ordered the spicy green beans with tofu, Stir fried eggplant with pork and the cashew nut stir fry with chicken. They all came with rice, salad and egg rolls. The entrees were plentiful, The egg rolls were some of the best I have ever had! Crispy, light, perfectly cooked, with an incredible mouthfeel. We also ordered some Thai ice teas that came in huge carafes. Fantastic food! Friendly service, and neat and clean restaurant. Definitely worth coming back to try the entire menu!

Dined here with my family and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The lady who took our order was sweet and checked in on us a few times. We had Tom kha gai, calamari, papaya salad, spicy basil pork belly, fried chicken fried rice, pad Thai, and green curry. The food was yummy and fresh. The pad Thai and curry were a bit watery. I liked the spicy basil pork belly, calamari, papaya salad, and chicken fried rice best. The calamari was crunchy and had a hint of coconut flavor. Support your local vallejo restaurant.

This restaurant was extremely clean and had a warm interior. Prices were reasonable however I thought portion sizes were off a bit. I ordered the pad se ew and the pad Thai lunch combo, combo was way bigger than the entree meal. Additionally I thought the dishes could have had more meat included in them. Service was great. Not a bad experience

Neither of us…read moreknew much about restaurants in the area, but we "Yelped" a bit, and Pearl Thai caught our eye. Very glad it did! We were greeted by a gentleman with a fun sense of humor - can't really explain it, but he made us smile. The place is small, but very welcoming. We were shown to a window booth, where we chatted a bit before we looked at the menu. The server came to take our order and we had barely even looked. She told us to take all the time we needed. Eventually, we made our decisions. My friend got one of the lunch combos - a chicken curry (she chose red curry, you can also choose green or yellow), and I don't remember what the other combo item was. But everything looked delightful on her plate! On our way into the restaurant, I spotted a sign with a lunch special on it - crispy chicken kao soi, a noodle dish, and it looked good, so that's what I requested. It was quite yummy! The best part was the deeply flavored sauce that the noodles were nestled into - I could put it in a cup and drink it, it was soooo good, lots of savory fish sauce and just enough spice to keep it interesting. Besides the noodles actually in the sauce, there were crispy fried noodles on top as well, adding a nice texture variety. The picture doesn't really do it justice. I was hungry and dove in before I remembered to take the photo, oops. The chicken was breaded and laid on top of the noodles in thin slices, very nice and crunchy. We had Thai hot tea with our lunch - not the sweet kind, but the nice clean-flavored hot tea. It went perfectly with our dishes. I don't know exactly when either of us will get back to Benicia again, but if and when we do, I hope we can stop by Pearl Thai again!

*** Vegetarian Review ***…read more None of their dishes have fish sauce so you don't get knocked over the head with the smell when you walk in. They remind me every time I order, but as a vegetarian, we've all had that fish smell delivered to us at a Thai restaurant at least once (probably twice, more likely three times) in our eating lifetimes. It is such a relief to not have to worry about that here. Would I Come Back? Yes, when I'm in town, I make it a point to come here. Did I mention they don't use fish sauce!? Parking is is incredibly easy so that's never an issue. It's a shared parking lot with many stores and other restaurants. I typically go on a Sunday for lunch, and even with a party of 5, I haven't had to wait for a table. Seating capacity is probably 45-50 guests so if you're planning a large party, definitely best to call ahead and make a reservation. The Food: Roti & Yellow Curry ($14, Grade A+): Fried roti with a yellow curry dipping sauce. It's a super savory dish, and honestly, I should have had you at "fried." If you're wondering what roti is, think of it as a buttery, flaky, pan-fried flatbread. It's large enough appetizer to share with 3 people, but you're pushing your luck with 4. Pad Thai with Fried Tofu ($16, Grade A): I've had this dish 5 times now. To be completely transparent, it's the exact reason why I can't give Pearl Thai a full 5-star rating, purely because of consistency. The first time I got it, it was perfect. The second and third times, it had no sauce and was dry. The fourth time, I asked them to make it saucy, and they obliged to an almost soupy level. For this fifth time, I just ordered it straight up and zipped my lip on any alterations. As they say, the fifth time was a charm! When it's made with the perfect amount of sauce, this dish is excellent. The noodles have that exact texture you look for in a pad thai, and the egg gets that great scorch from the wok for an added layer of flavor. Also, the tofu has been incredibly fresh every single time. It never tastes slightly spoiled, which happens a lot in smaller towns that don't heavily support plant-based diets where tofu just sits in a fridge eagerly awaiting someone to order it. Mixed Vegetables ($14, Grade A): Sautéed wood ear mushrooms and mixed vegetables in a garlic soy sauce. If you've ever had Pad Pak, you already know this flavor profile. I really enjoyed it, but next time I'll ask for no carrots and maybe half the garlic. Overall, it's a perfect dish that absolutely requires steamed rice to soak up all that great flavor. Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango ($8, Grade A): The classic dessert we see at all Thai restaurants, but they serve it with purple sticky rice, making it a visually yummy dish. It's plenty of food to share between two people. Bottom Line: The service here is great and very friendly. It's a small, local shop with "Best in Town" awards highlighted on the walls. The environment is clean, and the food is served hot and arrives at the table quick. One Last Word: Don't leave here without ordering the roti with yellow curry for an appetizer. Pure savory goodness!

This place is located in a small multi tenant shopping center located near the entrance of Hiddenbrooke with ample parking-so that was nice. This restaurant is for sure a local restaurant that serves the Hiddenbrooke community with most of their patrons being locals from the community. That was what we found upon arrival, most of the customers did seem to be locals in for a quick lunch. I would describe this place as an Asian fusion restaurant.-the depth of their menu was surprising-like "Cheesecake Factory-esque" level depth of menu.Their sushi menu was many pages and I hadn't even planned on getting sushi but after looking at this menu,I had to try something-so went with a simple Spicy Tuna Roll ($12.95). Off the Thai menu we decided to go with the Trio Meat Fried Rice ($20.95) Virgin Drunken Noodle ($18.95) Pad See U ($16.95) and Drunken Noodle ($16.95) Well I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to Asian fusion but I've had it more than a handful of times-so I can say with confidence that the food here was pretty good- very tasty-the Virgin Drunken Noodles were Interesting due to their use of glass noodles-the beef in that dish was seasoned well.I ordered my Drunken Noodles spicy and for that they delivered, quite a spicy dish. The Pad See U had really good veggies on it-very tasty and snappy. The Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty standard-the highlight being I somehow got my mother to try sushi for the 1st time by eating a piece of this sushi roll-she didn't hate it which I think is a pretty good review from a 73 year old Native American woman trying sushi for the 1st time. In closing,if u ever find yourself out in the Vallejo or Hiddenbrooke area and you want to give a small local business a try-this place is a pretty good choice-with a menu this big, your bound to find something on there that will make you happy. PS....I forgot to say I really enjoyed the house hot sake-pretty good flavor and perfect item to warm you up in this cold winter times we are in.

Skewers & tempura were a hot with my kids after a long park afternoon, and the pad Thai just hits - unctuous, umami, a little tangy-sour, a little like feet, but loaded with meats & fresh veggies. A home run meal for all of us. Did I mention we got another meal out of it the next morning? Yep. Lots of food. We were so hungry after a full day at Six Flags, I didn't even pause to take photos - we just big backed right in. The restaurant even gave me a few extra take out containers to use as bowls/plates & utensils for that hungry hotel dining experience! Price wise, it's Napa adjacent. Our 5 items with tip were just under $120. The only downside, and I DO NOT think this is a direct reflection on the restaurant, is the card we used for our order was hit with 11 pre-auths for that amount. I think this is their 3rd party ordering service, Menufy, which I'd never used prior to this order. For those following along, that totaled over $1k hold on funds. That can be a vacay wrecker, so keep an eye on those cards. They eventually dropped off, but just be wary of holds, especially while traveling.
