I am extremely disappointed by the treatment my guest and I received today at this restaurant ( THAI KITCHEN )!!! My guest mentioned the numerous times she's dined here over the years and have always enjoyed the food which is why today's experience was so shocking. When my guest and I arrived, there was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant. We stood at the entrance waiting to be greeted and instead of being welcomed the server simply waved her hand and motioned for us to seat ourselves. After we sat down we waited for service while the server continued socializing and entertaining the other table. No menus were provided. No water was offered. No acknowledgment was made that we were even sitting there. We actually started a timer on our phone because we could not believe we were being completely ignored despite there being virtually no one else in the restaurant. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of concern. There was no apology, no urgency and no effort to make things right. When we eventually left ,,, the attitude we received suggested that our experience was amusing rather than unacceptable. The treatment was disturbing enough that it left us questioning whether discrimination played a role. I cannot say for certain that it did but I can say that I have never felt so unwelcome, dismissed and disregarded in a restaurant. The food here may be excellent, but CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS. No paying customer should be treated as though their presence is an inconvenience. Today's experience was disrespectful, unprofessional and completely inconsistent with the standards I would expect from a business that relies on public support. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue because no customer should have to experience what we experienced today. read more

We ordered takeout from Thai Kitchen during our short stay for a Six Flags spring break trip. Even though it was almost right across from our hotel, you just can't get there from here LOL. Up and U turn and another down the street to another U turn again to get back. Funny. Moving on. The food was pretty good - we ordered A LOT of stuff to try. Chicken satay, and tempura shrimp apps, yum yai (a mixed meat salad) and duck salad, and of course, the staple for which to score a Thai place - pad Thai. The salads were DELISH. Like both perfectly balanced with ingredients & dressing. We had a lot of leftovers, so when I tell you that my savory self loooveess a cold salad for brekkies - you can keep those sweet treats for yourself. Skewers & tempura were a hot with my kids after a long park afternoon, and the pad Thai just hits - unctuous, umami, a little tangy-sour, a little like feet, but loaded with meats & fresh veggies. A home run meal for all of us. Did I mention we got another meal out of it the next morning? Yep. Lots of food. We were so hungry after a full day at Six Flags, I didn't even pause to take photos - we just big backed right in. The restaurant even gave me a few extra take out containers to use as bowls/plates & utensils for that hungry hotel dining experience! Price wise, it's Napa adjacent. Our 5 items with tip were just under $120. The only downside, and I DO NOT think this is a direct reflection on the restaurant, is the card we used for our order was hit with 11 pre-auths for that amount. I think this is their 3rd party ordering service, Menufy, which I'd never used prior to this order. For those following along, that totaled over $1k hold on funds. That can be a vacay wrecker, so keep an eye on those cards. They eventually dropped off, but just be wary of holds, especially while traveling. read more

Super small but food was decent. I'm in Napa for a girls weekend trip. It was a bit cold for April, we wanted some soup and decided to give this place a try. We order three items and the yum yum soup and drunken noodles were on point. The service was good, we were greeted right away and got seated. The only thing is, the dinning area is super small and tight. There was a large party and we sat next to them. The tum yum soup was warm, not hot. There were other items on menu I would like to try. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area. read more

Delivered food, excellent service, and a traditional ambiance makes you feel right at home when dining in at Thai Kitchen. We ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Crab Fried Rice, Pad Se Eww, Shrimp Tempura, Tom Kha Goong soup, Thai Egg Rolls, and Thai Iced Tea. Every dish was served with love. So much flavor in each dish. The Pad Se Eww had the perfect amount of spice which heightened the flavors even more. The Tom Kha Goong soup with shrimp was the perfect appetizer for me before my meal. The lemongrass gives it an authentic incredible flavor. Both the Chicken Fried Rice and Crab Fried Rice were a hit. Each dish was properly executed, hats off to the chef and cooks. The Thai Iced Tea was cold and refreshing, just what the doctor ordered! This is my new go-to spot for delicious Thai cuisine. Excellent food and genuine, caring, and kind service. Looking forward to coming back soon! read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant so much! I've been going here since I was little and their food has never missed. It's such a cozy mom and pop restaurant and the owners are the sweetest people ever. I usually get the yum yai salad but decided to get the chicken satay because of the lunch deal. Soooooo good! And the side salad is so refreshing! I didn't taste the other dish (my mom's) but I assume she liked it because her plate was cleaned! read more

for our dinner at the Napa / Vallejo getaway, we decided for Thai. we had this Thai Kitchen literally 2 minutes from our hotel, so i called my order in, and drove over to pickup: staff was lovely and nice the location is outside, and seems small indoors, but there is plenty seating. food was delicious, hot, tasteful and we left no crumbs pad thai (9.5/10) pad thai with shrimp, chicken and tofu: hot, delicious house fried rice (9/10) generous portioned fried rice with protein: why a tomato???? read more

Thai Kitchen is a perfect place for a quick meal that is simple and delicious, and cherry on top is its BYOB. Portions are sizable so great for sharing. For starters, papaya salad has great flavor and crunch, while the spring rolls are crispy with a great dipping sauce. For mains, we had the shrimp pad Thai (as expected and yummy) as well as the chicken green curry (levels of flavor and just the right amount of spice). The staff was so sweet which made the whole meal that much more enjoyable. Seems like it's super popular for takeout as well so whether it's sitting on or take out, highly recommended! read more

Came in for lunch with a few friends. Cozy little restaurant with plenty of parking within a plaza. Fried calamari - bread crumbs batter. It's a bit thick and crispy but barely any calamari. It came with fried onion rings and fried green beans. Shrimp papaya salad - looks like a mountain of papaya but it had only 2 shrimps and a lot of iceberg lettuce underneath. Kinda disappointed. Shrimp red curry and shrimp pad Thai were good and flavors are there. Boiled spinach and broccoli with fried tofu drizzled with some sweet sauce. Not a fan with the sauce. read more

This place is a gem located in American Canyon right outside of Napa. Food was excellent. I asked for this spicy and it did not disappoint. The only hang up was my wife's dish knjy had 2 pieces of shrimp. She would've wanted a little bit more protein in her pad Thai. The staff were super friendly. We had conversations about her life in the valley and made us feel comfortable. This isn't a large establishment however it is cozy and intimate. We're lucky we found this place. read more

Complimentary Parking Lot. Cute, Home Ambiance. Friendly, Attentive Service. Generous Portions. Flavorful Dishes. See Below for More Info: Complimentary Parking Lot: Thai Kitchen has a complimentary parking lot with many spaces. Cute, Home Ambiance: Thai Kitchen has a cute, home ambiance. The exterior and interior look and feel as if you are dining inside someone's home, ranking as a top Thai restaurant for me in terms of decor. Most tables are set up for smaller parties. However, when we were dining, the restaurant was hosting a big party of twelve by merging tables together. Friendly, Attentive Staff: Thai Kitchen had a lively weekday dinner flow. Yet, staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish. We were sat and given menus upon entering with our order being taken minutes later. Food came out within minutes. Our water cups were being poured throughout our dining. Generous Portions: Thai Kitchen has generous portions for your dollar. Our party has hearty appetizers and this was one of the instances where we had leftovers. Flavorful Dishes: Thai Kitchen has flavor dishes. We had the chicken pad thai, yellow curry, and rice. While the spice levels cannot be adjusted, I truly appreciate the employee giving us a chili on the side to add to the dish. Overall, Thai Kitchen is a great dining option in the American Canyon/Vallejo area. read more

Plenty of food for 3 people. Good food. The Lemonade Thai Tea was an interesting combo but tasted good. The BBQ pork was good. Both the BBQ pork and BBQ chicken came with a sweet and sour sauce. Fantastic food and friendly professional service. One of the best Pad Thai and pumpkin curry available anywhere!

One of my favorite places to eat. Great food and great people who own and work there. My family and I have been going here for years.

Built like a tiny house, this place feels like the perfect quiet dinner at home. Definitely seems family owned...service is quick and simple. I really appreciated the menu being spread out under the glass table top for non -contact accessibility. Thai food is one of my favorites next to mexican. ..that being said .. the best appetizer on the menu was the shrimp tempura platter. Comes with fried green beans and onion rings and 6 jumbo butterfly shrimps. Also ordered yellow curry with chicken and steamed rice. You can't leave without the drunken noodles! I love this place..will be back soon....ciao for now read more

As a person who has eaten a LOT of Thai food in the 'hood and beyond, let me be the first to confirm for y'all that they've dumbed these flavors down for the 'burbs. I tried this place maybe 10 years ago, and circled back only because I've seen it mentioned a few times on a fb community page, so I thought maybe they'd perfected their craft in the name of experience, and it's close to home. It was a flavor-lacking deja vu experience. :( The wonton soup broth looked and tasted like WATER. I have never in my life had to ask for hot sauce for drunken noodles. I gave a bonus star because they have lunch specials, albeit a pricey selection ($16) and my noodles dish was at least fresh. My $6 Thai iced tea was the star. I'm convinced they're appealing to patrons who have either lost their sense of taste due to the Vid, or have an aversion or alllergy to seasoning. I should've taken my $24 further down the road. read more

Kind attentive service. Some dishes authentic (pad see eew) others not (prik king). Small and clean but no frills.

Got takeaway from here and it was perfect. Portions were generous with the curry and the chow mein, spice level on the curry could have been hotter but that's on me for not communicating my spice preference over the phone. The chow mein was cooked perfectly and had the perfect amount of protein and veggies. read more

Thai kitchen is a cute little restaurant. I got the red curry which had green peas, carrots, bamboo shoots, and tofu. I also got rice as a side. No, but if you're craving Thai food in the neighborhood this could satisfy your craving. Service was great. read more

This is my go-to Thai place in Vallejo/American Canyon! The food never disappoints. The mas-sa-man curry (yellow curry) with the pineapple fried rice is sooooo good. Best combo! Had the sticky rice recently and it had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Delicious! Haven't branched out on other dishes because the regulars for us are always tasty. I have a feeling we won't be tired of it for a while. The building is small but there is a good amount of seating inside. We've never had to wait for a table. The service here is great! The staff is very friendly and sweet. I love coming here with my partner after work and getting our perfect weeknight dinner. Definitely has a special place in our dinner rotation and could not recommend it enough! read more

I don't recommend dining in because this place very small and you have to wait for your food. They serve to go orders first because they cook your orders. I ordered pepper beef and it came with tons of bell peppers and little beef. The place very small and not recommended for more than two people. There one server/cashier/cleanup (same person)and she's not very happy with an attitude. She charged me 50 cents for each to go containers. Lastly, the area heavy traffic and it's difficult to drive in. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this place. Times are hard and hardly anyone eating out. If you're into the restaurant business, you need to excel and provide good service for your customers or they will disappear and most of all customers always right. Take a class in restaurant and hospitality because honey your food is not to die for oh I might die bell pepper overdose LOL. Adios! read more

This place is such a cute little gem! I ordered the red curry and Tom Yum soup, both were amazingly delicious! The red curry was so flavorful, a great spicy curry with a hint of sweetness from the coconut to balance the flavor out beautifully. The Tom Yum soup was so good, I just am a broth girl, I think that's what makes a Tom Yum amazing, so I prefer less veggies and more soup! This place is a little heavy on the toppings but not too bad, I think it would be nice to give customers an option to have less veggies and more broth or vice versa. read more

A nice little well lit place with a friendly, capable and knowledgeable staff. I was torn between the BBQ chicken and the BBQ pork and asked the waitress's opinion. She suggested the pork and went with that. It was excellent, succulent and very flavorful. The accompanied sauce was quite good. The wonton soup was delightful with a robust flavor. The lunch special also included salad and sliced carrots which were also very good. I highly recommend Thai Kitchen. Always pleased when i come here. The take the time to talk to you and greet you in. Thank you!

Closest Thai restaurant. Always can find a parking spot. Ambiance is quaint. Food is decent. Service is decent. Unless you request to completely remove an item, don't expect service to be able to adjust and flex to your preferences. The way they make their dishes are the way they make it. We normally get pad Thai & request for it to be extra extra saucy and it comes out not bone dry. You can request no spices at all on papaya or calamari salad and it will still have red chili flakes. read more
