    Undercooked inside the potsticker
    Young S.

Ordered $130 of takeout. The potstickers were not cooked throughly as the inside was still doughy. The poor quality of styrofoam containers was evident as both top and bottom of the containers melted into the food. I called and the owner told me that everyone in the area uses the same styrofoam containers. She didn't apologize for the food getting contaminated with the melted plastic. The chow fun noodles were overcooked. The Mandarin spare ribs tasted of freezer burn. Ambiance was dark and no lights were on inside.

Dinner plate B: sweet and sour chicken, broccoli and beef, shrimp fried rice, 2 fried prawns and egg roll Price: 21.45

I came for the food, not the ambiance--and I wasn't disappointed. To my surprise, the chicken retained its crunch despite being coated in a sweet and sour marinade, which had a pleasant flavor. The rice was fluffy and well-seasoned. The broccoli was firm, the beef tender, and the prawns had a satisfying crunch while remaining juicy. The egg roll wasn't my cup of tea, but it might be yours. Price: 21.45

I'd give it 4 stars for the affordability and overall quality and taste of the food. We came in on a Saturday around 2PM and were unsure if they were offering dine in. The lady behind the counter said yes and handed us two takeout menus. We sat and looked over the menus and when ready had to go up to the booth to order, where I was also rung up at the time of ordering. We ordered two lunch specials: mongolian beef with chow mein, general chicken with fried rice, and an order of potstickers. The potstickers came out quickly but were pretty bland inside and the wrappers were really thick (we didn't even finish one whole one). The lunch specials we ordered came out soon after in to- boxes. I found it odd that the mongolian beef was sauteed with zucchini and carrots as I'm used to it being an onion forward dish. It still tasted good, just different than I expected. The rest of the food was great and nothing to complain about! Id definitely return If I find myself in Vallejo again.

Re my to go orders, the lady cashier cooked the pork wonton soup and the male cook did the sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork is a bit on the really sweet and quite very sour side. But I was satisfied because it was a considerable portion and the meat inside was juicy, not dry and old. The wonton soup has very soggy Napa cabbage. At first I was impressed because the container seemed like it has many wontons in it. But my happiness turned into major disappointment because the soup tastes nothing beyond chicken powder seasoning. The meat in the wonton is quite red and scary, too. I am sorry to say that I feel like I threw my money in the garbage bin.

Even for the ones I didn't eat until towards the end of the meal, there was still a good amount of soup inside that didn't get absorbed by the meat or wrap. You order at a tablet, located at each table, for dine in orders. You can also specify if you want certain items to go, which was perfect because we were eating some things there and taking some items to family. We ordered the following for there: Pork XLB, Shrimp Pork Shaomai, Garlic Green Beans, and Chocolate XLB. The following was ordered to go: Wonton Soup, Pork Bun & BBQ Pork Bun. It's not a huge space, most of the tables are on the left side of the restaurant. A large portion is the food prep / behind the counter area. I had the milk tea to drink. It was fine, nothing special, but I hadn't had one in a while so I enjoyed it with my meal. I also thought the Chocolate XLB was interesting. It was melted/gooey chocolate inside the skin/wrap. It was a nice finish to the meal. I think most of the items were more a 4 for me, but since I loved the XLB so much, it's a 5 rating.

The green beans were fried just right as they were still crispy. There was lots of garlic so they were very flavorful. They were stir fried in oil, however were not overly greasy. The Xiao Long Bao were my favorite. They were filled with delicious soup, the pork was cooked to perfection and very moist. The Xiao Long Bao must be eaten with a spoon to prevent the broth from spilling out or burning your mouth upon consumption. Orders are placed using the tablet at the table. Water is self serve. If you order over $65, a free drink is provided. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

I got out voted and thank goodness for majority rule because I stumbled upon a great dish if ramen isn't your thing. Btw - their vegetarian ramen is hella good. Big portions and a top notch broth! Agedashi Tofu, no bonito flakes. Comes with 8 tofu slices. And be warned, it's super hot so be careful. Don't burn your mouth. Comes with a dipping sauce, but ask for a teriyaki sauce. The dining room is modern, clean, and inviting, with high ceilings and plenty of seating. While I was initially surprised by the wait since I was the only customer, the restaurant quickly filled with diners and takeout orders, making it obvious this place has built a loyal following. I ordered the new Wonton Ramen Soup, spicy and an order of lumpia. As a ramen fan, I can honestly say the broth was outstanding, rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The generous portion was loaded with fresh bok choy, perfectly cooked egg, green onions, and large wontons, creating a delicious fusion of classic wonton soup and ramen with a Tonkotsu broth. I also appreciated the oversized ladle-style soup spoon, which made it easy to enjoy every sip of that incredible broth and every bite of the fresh ingredients. The lumpia was crispy and good, but fairly standard. My only disappointment was the packaged sweet and sour sauce. A house-made dipping sauce would have paired much better with the quality of the food. The restaurant itself was very clean, but I'd recommend moving the bussing cart with used bowls, plates, and trash to the back of the kitchen. It's a small detail, but keeping it out of guests' view would make the dining room feel even more polished and inviting. Overall, Ramon 101 was good. Great broth, fresh ingredients, generous portions, make this a place I'll definitely return to. It's easy to see why the locals keep coming back.

As for the bún bò Huế, I actually asked the waiter about it beforehand and she mentioned it wasn't very traditional and that she personally didn't prefer it. Honestly, I should've trusted that. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't the best or what I was hoping for. I'll stick to their pho moving forward. I also ordered a to-go soup for my dad, and this is where things were disappointing. The packaging just isn't great -- especially compared to other pho spots nearby. The soup was spilt all inside the trunk of the car. They don't double-bag it, the container itself felt slippery and not very secure. In my opinion, pho like this can be a bit hazardous for takeout if it's not packaged well. To be fair, the spill of the box was partially my fault while juggling my phone, but the container didn't help the situation. I'm mainly sharing this as feedback on the takeout packaging. For me, this is a place I'd rather dine in than order to-go. Overall, it's not a bad spot -- the pho is solid -- but it's not quite my go-to. I'd come back, just with adjusted expectations.

The minced pork sauce clung onto them really really well. The minced pork had a nice balance of sweet and savory, although it leaned towards a little sweeter than I personally prefer. But it wasn't a problem at all, since I was able to adjust the flavor to make it more savory by using the Chicken Granules, Cumin, Chili Oil, and White Pepper condiments. Overall, it was a very satisfying dish! We also tried their new shaved ice dessert. It wasn't like the Hawaiian style shaved ice which is based on frozen water, but more like Korean style Bingsoo with a milky shaved ice base. The flavor and texture were both good, but I thought it was missing the toppings. It relied solely on syrup, and I think it would've been much better with fresh fruit or other toppings to add more flavor. It was $5.99 per order as of July 2026.
