Shrimp and crab puffs were good. Fried rice was a little bland. Service was nice and quick. Indoor seating for bigger and smaller groups. Not in the greatest location but felt safe with plenty of parking.

Party tray of 41. BBQ Pork Fried Rice. This was half eaten so it is very party worthy in size.

The reviews sold me on going here and I was so happy I picked China Stix. There were "regulars" there at my pickup time and all told me my order was not going to disappoint. Did BBQ pork fried rice and chicken chow mein (both party tray size), sweet and sour pork and orange chicken. The servings are generous and the taste is definitely cooked with love of their work. The staff perfectly predicted how much food would serve and worked hard not to have us get more than we expected. If you don't know the sizes, just ask. They are so helpful. I will say to order well ahead of time in person or by phone over online as the total cost was cheaper that way. But takeout was the way to go. Looking forward to being a "regular" there too!

Dined in and the food (Salt & Pepper Prawns, Combination Fried Rice, and Pot Stickers were really good! We loved the food, and one of the advantages of dining in is that the food is freshly prepared and hot. The server wasn't friendly to us but was to a family of a different ethnicity. The moment they walked through the door she excitedly welcomed them in however when we walked in she just stood staring at us with a blank stare. No greeting, no how are you, or thank you as we left. Even when she came to take our order there was no smile or friendliness. Between that and the look on her face I asked if she was ok. She was a tiny bit cordial afterwards. She could be heard yelling at staff in the kitchen a couple times. If that service continues we won't be back - not even for really good food.

Decided to eat a meal before going home. We had a hour drive. Found this hidden gem here on yelp. We had the bbq pork fried rice, salt and pepper prawns, and the beef and broccoli. Everything was fantastic. Beef and broccoli was the best I have ever tasted. Had to order more to take home. We will definitely be back when we are in town.

I'd heard great things about this place and we gave it a try. Ordered pick up. I understand they recently moved locations and the new place isn't in the best area and the ambiance wasn't the best inside. We had the dumplings, Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, and beef chow fun. Serving sizes of the dishes were smaller than expected and they gave us chow mein by mistake. The chicken wasn't spicy even though there was whole dried chilis. Dishes were freshly prepared but just okay. The one thing I had that was unique and would bring me back are the dumplings. They came in a tangy, peanut sauce with maximum umami. Maybe we didn't order the right dishes. I know they're famous for their salt and pepper dishes. But didn't live up to the hype overall.

My family has been searching for a new Chinese restaurant to try. We received several recommendations for China Stix, and we are pleased we followed them. Due to our busy week, we opted for takeout instead of dining in. Walking in, you'll be blown away by how amazing the food smells. Everything was clean, and the staff were great. They told my husband they used to be in Vacaville, and when they moved to Fairfield, tons of their old customers still came! We can definitely see why. Once we got home, we eagerly couldn't wait to try the food. We got Beef Chow fun, Pork fried rice, Chicken chow mein, Pan Fried Gyozas, and Egg rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted great. We had tons of food, so we've got a ton of leftovers, which is always a plus. For our next order, I would politely request that the gyozas be cooked a bit longer; this is simply a matter of personal preference. We can't wait to go back and try more options.

It's a small hole-in-the-wall Chinese place that's mostly for takeout, but the inside is clean and has plenty of space. The food is good, though it can take a bit longer sometimes, probably because they get a lot of phone and DoorDash orders. Prices are about the same as other Chinese restaurants. Service is okay; the young woman at the register can seem a little rude at first, but she's likely just busy since she usually works by herself. The area is a little sketchy, but nothing too bad--people mostly mind their own business. I'd definitely order from here again.

There's only a few Chinese restaurants that would make me want to order from and I'm so sad that I just now found out about their food. I've had two separate occasions on trying their food and each time has been just as I expected the food to come out. Everyone loved the food and there were no complaints. Our favorites have been the salt and pepper chicken and fish. Flavors are amazing and cooked perfectly. We also agreed that we would always order the house special chow fin noodles and their mu shu pork. Will have to venture out of our comfort zone and try other plates but I've found a winner!

Mu shi pork - I personally liked how I was able to season the pork with a little more salt and white pepper to my desired flavor and the crepes were soft and moist. Combination chow mein - Delicious. Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro & Bar, Fairfield: 2026 Apr 28 (1.375 of 5)…read more WE GOT SCOLDED by the manager! I was at the counter paying the bill when the manager approached my dinner guests. She intimidated them by asking loudly why they were wasting food by not eating. My guests said they didn't enjoy the food, to which she replied that they're wasting food. How could anyone enjoy food that's inedible? She certainly did not give cause for us or our friends to step inside that eatery again. (1 of 5) Grace, server: Poor Grace looked pressured. She tried her best to accommodate us but I think she was 'shut-down' by her boss. I decided the restaurant did not deserve a tip but our server did so I pushed the tip inside her pocket. Grace mentioned that the chef is new and she would try and see if they can do something with our check. They did not and even raise the cost on one of the dishes we ordered. The price on the menu is lower that what they charged. This was an eatery we frequented for years and we usually enjoy the food here. Since we moved, we haven't visited it but our family still lives in that neighborhood so we decided to meet there for dinner. They don't take reservations but the eatery was half empty for a dinner-time seating. We sat down and was presented with their menu, which haven't changed much so it was easy to order our meal. We ordered Crab Wonton, Potstickers, Singapore-style Rice Noodles, Orange Chicken, Bulgogi. None of the dishes came with rice, so we ordered a bowl of rice. One of our guests wanted wine. Our server said the wine menu is not available, so we decided to get the house-wine. Our server returned to say the bartender is not on duty and we couldn't get even the house wine. I asked for hot water which never arrived. (1 of 5) Crab Wonton: This fried appetizer should have a crispy exterior filled with a creamy, savory mixture of cream cheese and crab meat (whether real or imitation). They are deep-fried until golden and served with sweet-and-sour sauce. The subtle seafood flavor is not quite there and the filling did not fill the parcel. The sauce here could be found on any grocery shelf but that's okay. I opened up the rest of the wonton for two reasons: (1) I wanted to see if some of them were filled, and (2) to make sure they don't serve these to unsuspecting diners. (1 of 5) Potstickers: These crescent-shaped dumplings should feature a savory filling with cabbage and ginger. They are pan-fried to produce a golden, crispy bottom and then steamed, creating a tender top, resulting in a dual-texture, savory, and aromatic bite. Although the dumplings looked good on the outside, it tasted gooey - not juicy. (1 of 5) Singapore-style Rice Noodles: I was very disappointed with my order. It tasted like the chef just poured curry powder over the top instead of cooking it in. It tasted gritty and the noodles lacked any savory nor aromatic notes. It should have a slightly spicy curry flavor but I did not taste any of that. There was no smoky or comforting yumminess to this dish. I feel that even a few drops of soy sauce would have elevated this dish - giving it an umami taste. I'm giving it a 2 because they used the right noodles. (2 of 5) Orange Chicken: This bite-sized pieces of battered, fried chicken tossed in a sweet, tangy, and savory orange-flavored sauce should boast a crispy, sticky texture with a bright citrus aroma from orange juice and zest. Instead, it had none of the garlicky, gingery, or slightly heated profile. There was no depth nor flavor at all. The dish wasn't well-balanced. (1 of 5) Bulgogi: This was the best dish we tasted this evening. The meat was tender and cut correctly. It had a mild and savory marinade but was under-seasoned. It missed the garlicky and nutty caramelized, smoky flavor. It came ala carte, like the orange chicken we ordered. They didn't even offer lettuce leaves, which usually accompany bulgogi. (2 of 5) Rice: Like the name says, the rice was on the sticky side - but cooked through. (3 of 5)

The vegetables were limp, soggy, and clearly not fresh, nothing crisp, nothing vibrant, just sad leftovers pretending to be stir-fry.
