I got takeout from here last night. This is the second time I've had food from here. Their prices aren't bad. The portion sizes are good and the food is super tasty! They make really good Mongolian Chicken! Which is hard to find! Most places only make decent Mongolian Beef. So far I haven't had anything that I didn't like. I thought the curry was just ok. The green beans are cooked to perfection! I tried the Basil Chicken and it was very good! Just an FYI... if you're not ordering through DoorDash or Uber Eats. The restaurant recommend recommends ordering directly through their website. It's definitely best to order ahead of time. Otherwise, you could be waiting a while inside. Delicious! Stopped in on a rainy day for lunch. Place had a lot of take out orders, and a few like me, dining in. Ordered wonton soup, honey walnut shrimp, and a couple beef dishes. The beef were delicious but I enjoyed the sizzling beef more. The batter fried beef was a little too sweet for me, but I'm sure some would love this. The sizzling beef was very tender and saucy. The reviews sold me on going here and I was so happy I picked China Stix. There were "regulars" there at my pickup time and all told me my order was not going to disappoint. Did BBQ pork fried rice and chicken chow mein (both party tray size), sweet and sour pork and orange chicken. The servings are generous and the taste is definitely cooked with love of their work. The staff perfectly predicted how much food would serve and worked hard not to have us get more than we expected. If you don't know the sizes, just ask. They are so helpful. I will say to order well ahead of time in person or by phone over online as the total cost was cheaper that way. But takeout was the way to go. We loved the food, and one of the advantages of dining in is that the food is freshly prepared and hot. The server wasn't friendly to us but was to a family of a different ethnicity. The moment they walked through the door she excitedly welcomed them in however when we walked in she just stood staring at us with a blank stare. No greeting, no how are you, or thank you as we left. Even when she came to take our order there was no smile or friendliness. Between that and the look on her face I asked if she was ok. She was a tiny bit cordial afterwards. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Fairfield. We ordered a bunch of food from here for are small family, but it was a hit. Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Hunan Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, Mu Shu, and Kung Pao. Everything has a lot of flavor, but doesn't feel greasy or heavy. I've been coming here for over a year. I don't come often, however. Here's why. I order strictly online from their menu, which is easy to use. No complaints. However, the website then generates an estimated ready time. I've learned to wait twenty minutes past the estimated ready time before I leave my house to pick it up. Then it takes me fifteen minutes to get there. And every time I do that, there's still at least a 10-30 minute wait. I don't know if they need more cooks or what. The food is very good. No complaints, there, either. The prices seem high, but not so much that I haven't gone back. And the portions are generous. But that damn waiting is maddening. Either fix your website to add an extra 30 minutes or hire more cooks. You're too good of a restaurant to lose business because the food is ready over an hour after it's ordered. I can't imagine how frustrating it is for people eating in. Honestly, I've started shopping around for Chinese food at other restaurants that are way more inconvenient to get to in hopes that I get timely service. read more

Love their Walnut shrimp! So different from other walnut shrimps. They have a light batter unlike most places . I'm not a Mu Shu pork kind of person but my mom said it's so good here. I understand they recently moved locations and the new place isn't in the best area and the ambiance wasn't the best inside. We had the dumplings, Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, and beef chow fun. Serving sizes of the dishes were smaller than expected and they gave us chow mein by mistake. The chicken wasn't spicy even though there was whole dried chilis. Dishes were freshly prepared but just okay. The one thing I had that was unique and would bring me back are the dumplings. They came in a tangy, peanut sauce with maximum umami. My family has been searching for a new Chinese restaurant to try. We received several recommendations for China Stix, and we are pleased we followed them. Due to our busy week, we opted for takeout instead of dining in. Walking in, you'll be blown away by how amazing the food smells. Everything was clean, and the staff were great. They told my husband they used to be in Vacaville, and when they moved to Fairfield, tons of their old customers still came! We can definitely see why. Once we got home, we eagerly couldn't wait to try the food. We got Beef Chow fun, Pork fried rice, Chicken chow mein, Pan Fried Gyozas, and Egg rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted great. We had tons of food, so we've got a ton of leftovers, which is always a plus. For our next order, I would politely request that the gyozas be cooked a bit longer; this is simply a matter of personal preference. We can't wait to go back and try more options. read more

The food is good, though it can take a bit longer sometimes, probably because they get a lot of phone and DoorDash orders. Prices are about the same as other Chinese restaurants. Service is okay; the young woman at the register can seem a little rude at first, but she's likely just busy since she usually works by herself. There's only a few Chinese restaurants that would make me want to order from and I'm so sad that I just now found out about their food. I've had two separate occasions on trying their food and each time has been just as I expected the food to come out. Everyone loved the food and there were no complaints. Our favorites have been the salt and pepper chicken and fish. Flavors are amazing and cooked perfectly. We also agreed that we would always order the house special chow fin noodles and their mu shu pork. Im very, very, very disappointed in the Chef at this restaurant. His total disrespect to me as a customer is appalling. I ordered Hong Kong noodles with vegetables to go got home and as i was eating my fork hit something hard reached into the food and pulled out this big piece of hard white plastic. Took it back to them and the chef stated it wasn't from them and he never saw anything like that before!! It was a grave insult as if I would make something like this up!! Perfectly seasoned, kinda reminded me of Chicharonnes. Then got Szechwan beef, delicious and has a sweeter flavor to it. BBQ pork fried rice was bomb. We were so happy that they reopen in Fairfield! We first had their food when they were in Vacaville- and when they closed, we vowed to follow them wherever they went! First, I love their Honey Walnut Prawns, Chow Mein, and Sesame Chicken. I have tried their version of Egg Foo Young and it is delicious! I also received a large amount of peas and carrots. I picked out the white stuff and the majority of the peas and carrots. For me, the dish was ruined. I also ordered Shezuan prawns. Why did I get broccoli as a filler under the shrimp in the sauce? Disappointed! These are the normal ingredients: Szechuan prawns typically include prawns, Szechuan peppercorns, garlic, ginger, chili oil, and a sauce made with soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar. Other common ingredients can include green onions, chili paste, sesame oil, and optional vegetables like red bell peppers and water chestnuts. Food was very tasty. My favorite was the wonton noodle soup. The noodles were chewy and broth was light and refreshing. Not overly salted or heavy. The mushrooms and seafood were perfectly cooked. The soybean was super tasty. My friend had the fried rice and tempura shrimp and she loved both. The prices were great. We had these 4 dishes plus a side of hot and soup for $60. Service was super fast and staff were friendly and accommodating. Oh the hot tea - green tea, was also crisp and refreshing. It was not super busy, which was surprising as the food was quite delicious. There were lots of to-go orders though.
