Fire Wok was genuinely one of the worst takeout experiences I've had in Fairfield. The meat tasted like it had just been defrosted, with that watery, rubbery texture that tells you it was frozen and rushed straight to the wok. The vegetables were limp, soggy, and clearly not fresh, nothing crisp, nothing vibrant, just sad leftovers pretending to be stir-fry. To make it worse, the to-go dinner costs $17.95, which is already overpriced for food of this quality. Then came the real insult: because my meal didn't fit into one box, they charged me an extra $12 for what was essentially half a box. No warning, no explanation, just a blatant cash grab. So let me get this straight, nearly $30 for frozen meat, wilted veggies, and attitude? Absolutely not. Horrid food. Horrid service. Zero value. Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. I drove up & did not see a Fire Wok sign but in big letters it says Mongolian BBQ and I kept seeing people walking in. So I made it in. It happened to be Dinner rush there was a line but went quick. I must say I was very impressed with how good this place was. The vegetables are fresh and the cooks know very well how prepare your plate. I got mine to go but if you eat there it's all you can eat which I thought was very good for the price. I'll definitely go again & bring my family. read more

The staff made sure we had everything we needed, from refills to fresh rice, without us needing to ask. We came with a large group of about 30 people. Even with another party already seated and a few smaller tables filled, the staff handled the volume with professionalism and ease. That kind of customer service is rare. If you're coming with a big group, I recommend calling ahead--they'll do their best to accommodate. The Mongolian BBQ selection was fresh, full, and constantly restocked. Nothing sat empty for long. The cooks were efficient, and the flavors were excellent. You could taste the effort and consistency in each plate. The space is modest in size--probably seats around 50--but it feels well-managed and clean. The parking lot has space in front, with additional parking available on the side if it gets full. As someone who pays attention to systems and service quality, I appreciated how smoothly things ran. The price is reasonable for what you get, especially considering the level of service and food freshness. Lunch or dinner, this spot holds up. At the Mongolian BBQ, I decided to go with thin noodle and chose to add all of the vegetables, along with a combination of seasonings. I told the cook to make it all half-done. It was a delicious meal that met my expectations and let me feeling impressed. This restaurant has only one female server and one cook and one cook, and she is very patient with all the customer requests. Due to limited seating, it is recommended that party of 7 or more makes a reservation at this cozy establishment. Food was so good! Clean establishment. The employees & chefs were also so nice. The menu is not that extensive, but i would recommend anyone on/near Travis AFB to stop here for dinner or lunch sometime. You grab a bowl, pick out your noodles, meats, vegetables, and also add sauces (soy sauce, house sauce, sesame oil, etc.). Kinda buffet style. Then the chef will take your bowl and cook your food! They also have crab puffs, 4 count or 8 count. Those were really good too! More crabby than most cream cheese rangoons Ive had and I really enjoyed the flavor. You can get food to go, but you still have to go inside and pick your toppings. You cant order over the phone (which makes sense because it would take forever to place over the phone). 2024 - we've done team meetings and even my boss likes it. Just the the sauce and flava alone makes it delish...the other Mongolian bbq around FF & VV are just "ok" next to Fire Wok. We've been coming here for quite a bit now. Pre-covid like once a week...we're making our way back and bringing friends. The family that runs this place is consistent and typically gives a great bbq experience. The cook is my fave...he adds jalapeño for us when asked and makes sure all the protein and veggies are cooked well. It's in our restu rotation from now. Xièxiè ! read more

3.5 ish. Veggies aren't the freshest, the cooking is rough when there is too much water added, still decent for the price though. I got two plates. The first didn't taste like anything, sauces added weren't allowed to cook in. Should just add water when needed and not just to make things cook faster. Otherwise the flavors don't settle in and it makes less sense to add sauce in beforehand when it just gets watered down. I'd rather give two different bowls if that is the case just so I can get my flavors right. It kinda makes sense though for their business since there is only one person cooking so speed is essential but really, adjust for the flavor of food and not for the speed of business. Otherwise dedicate one more person to attend potentially when it gets busy rather than watching the magic happen and delivering waters. Certainly though, it has the pieces to make things work. Just have to gel the rough areas of the business and it could see much larger returns. read more

The place seems a little dirty all the time. I mean they clean it a lot, but it still looks a little dingy. The food tastes okay at best, albeit I don't know what their meat tastes like due to my dietary preference at the time. It is super cool that they provide vegetarian options. You can customize your plate with different types of noodle, meats and vegetables. You can even customize the sauce they'll cook it in. they make it incredibly fast and the customer service is amazing. They'll charge you if you leave leftovers to prevent wasting food since this establishment is All You Can Eat. They'll always give you a small cup of rice and used to give you these fried wonton strips, but haven't really served those pre-corona. They're enforcing six feet apart and have hand sanitizer now. You walk in, grab a bowl, stack it as high as you can with an assortment of vegetables, meats, and noodles, dress it up with your own selection of sauces and BOOM, they cook your food expertly in front of you. For as many times as you want (all-you-can-eat for the WIN). They have two types of noodles (you can get rice on the side if you ask), a variety of meat (on my visit they had chicken, beef, lamb, and pork in the selection), an assortment of asian-cuisine-complementing vegetables, eight sauces you can mix, and other topping sauces like sweet-and-sour sauce or Sriracha to give your food that extra kick. Initially looking at the ingredient selection I thought that it looked small, but once you start building your bowl you'll realize that the there's plenty of combinations to keep you satisified and emotionally invested in making the best combination dish before you leave. Also, it's a very practical price. I had a foutain drink and ate two bowls (that was more than enough for a big guy like me) and it inly cost me $15.72. If you really wanted to eat in quantity and quality, you can't beat this place. The restaurant in total seats about 50 people so it seems small, but I liked how much space there was between the tables. Very good service and the food was excellent. The only issue I had was my wife and I only got one plate (that's not the issue). I had to leave unexpectedly due to medical issues. My wife had not finished so we had to pay a little extra for a to go container for her. I understand they don't want people loading up and taking a bunch of food home (and we didn't question having to pay extra because it's embarrassing) but we both only had one bowl and because of my medical issues we had to leave.
