We were craving good Chinese food and traveled a ways to go to this restaurant. When we walked in the lady sat us right away and was friendly. She asked if we had been there before and I said no. She quickly pointed over to the area where you do Mongolian style dish?. I was caught off guard, I was exhausted and was craving walnut shrimp and fried rice. I told her I thought you serve Chinese food too because I saw it on your website. She said sorry we didn't put that website. (Later I went on yelp again and it did say the word "unclaimed"). My husband said, come on you'll like it, so off we went to prepare our selections of raw meat and vegetables and to follow a recipe for the sauce you would like it cooked in. After you were done a nice Latin gentleman cooked it on a huge open round hot plat. I have to say it was was delicious. Cashier was welcoming and very nice. Restaurant is very clean and has a nice aesthetic. The process of crafting your bowl is always a welcome treat as well since there are so many options. Picking the sauces for the bowl is also very cool as you get a lot of freedom in doing so. Watching the chef make the bowl you carefully crafted was even more exciting. The best mongolian BBQ in the area. Seriously. We only come here for the all you can eat mongolian BBQ, so I can't really comment on any of the menu items. Selection is pretty basic, but they do have items like pineapples and bean sprouts. They always keep the food area clean as well as the make your own sauce bar, right before you drop off your food to be cooked. There have been a couple times where the rice they served was crunchy- but more times where it's cooked right. Limited seating area and it gets mad busy during lunch since it's right outside base. No worries though, they bought the corner space right next door and have since opened it up so MORE SPACE! Workers are extremely nice and polite, always a plus! read more

It is $10 for all you can eat Mongolian BBQ. It's a great place to go to for cheap if you are really hungry.. The quality of the food is 3 stars but they are fast so that's a plus. They offer different kinds of meat: chicken, beef, pork, lamb and plenty of veggies/toppings. I like to add water chestnut, pineapple, broccoli, carrot, mushroom, & zucchini. They also have a sauce bar where you can mix & match to make any combination you want. They also have a list of pre made mixtures like BBQ or teriyaki. I usually go crazy and make my own concoction, lol. I advise you to add lotsss of sauce because it is lacking salt badly. The sauces seem to be watered down so go crazy! The chef cooks it all off so by the time it's cooked it would already be absorbed. As an appetizer they give you crispy sweet wontons, crab rangoons, and sweet & sour sauce for dipping. They rangoons are yummy! We had to ask for more. It is located besides the 24hr Subway that you see right before you come into the base. decent tasting food, always hot, average price but I just hate hate hate how little meat they give you when you order off the menu... even when you pay extra for meat, they still rob the hell out of you. I counted 13 pieces of meat in my Mongolian beef and about 3 WHOLE onions cut into it. It really should be called Mongolian onion with shards of meat added for texture or color because this is sad. I really want to like this place but I hate feeling robbed even I pay extra for more meat and tell them to go light on the onions and they do the opposite and add MORE onions and take out more meat, and why the hell do I need 2 whole cups of rice? FML, I tried giving them chance after chance but I won't be going back and will tell my friends to take their money elsewhere too! read more

Had lunch here today. Sat near the door, which was a mistake because it was always opening and closing as the lunch crowd came and went (it was cold today). I've been here four or five times and have always had the Mongolian "BBQ" lunch special. There are other menu items to choose from (teriyaki, chow mein, wonton, fried rice, etc.) but I'm happy with the BBQ. The price for the lunch special is reasonable (around $10), it's all-you-can-eat, and you build your own meal using only the ingredients that you want. The noodles are great, the selection of meat is surprising (shaved slices of frozen beef, chicken, pork, or lamb) and there are lots of vegetables and condiments to pile on, too. It's funny to watch people load up their bowl with noodles, slices of meat, veggies, garlic. and sauces as if they get only one trip to the cook stove. Not true, so take your time. You can fill your bowl and hand it over to the chefs several times-- but don't expect to take uneaten noodles home in the a doggie bag. You'll need to pay extra for leftovers you take out. Seating and atmosphere are basic-- it's a Chinese fast-food joint with tables and chairs. You don't get linen napkins, fresh flowers and candles on each table, and Sinatra playing on the stereo. But do expect to have a great meal for a small amount of money. read more

Fortunately for me, I know the best place to go when I'm jonesing and, since you're reading this, you now know too! I like Fire Wok because it's clean, both at the bar and at the tables. The veggies are usually fresh. The meat choices are typical. It's all you can eat but if you do it right once is enough (oh, I love Mae West). I've never had anything off the menu but order away - it looked good going to other tables. Last time I was there I saw a $30 special that seemed pretty legit. Maybe next time. I love the veggie selection and am pleasantly surprised by how often they have kale and bamboo. My boyfriend eats a lot of chicken and dark greens, and he goes back for thirds almost every time we go. Their green tea is consistently the hottest and strongest I've tasted in a while. Great for digestion. The price changes for dinner, but ten bucks for an all-you-can-eat, healthy, and tasty lunch is awesome. This was one of my favorite spots for lunch when I had time off of duty. I loved their Mongolian BBQ and how they cook it in front of you. The serving size is whatever you could manage to squeeze into a bowl and surprisingly.. it was a lot. I was always fascinated by how they cooked it right then and there.. adding those sauces, and stirring it. I always tipped them well too. The service was excellent, never had a complaint about it. Staff was courteous and prompt with their tasks. It sometimes gets PACKED but that's how you know the place is good. Came in for lunch and really enjoyed the Mongolian AYCE. When you come here, you have the choice to order from the menu on one side of the restaurant, or do the Mongolian line on the other side. The original Fire Wok has now been reincarnated as Fire Wok Mongolian BBQ, located in a larger space next to its original location. I'm so glad that it came back! Looks like they still offer the same variety of Chinese rice dishes, ranging from spicy garlic chicken to broccoli beef ($6.95). In addition to the Chinese dishes, they now feature an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ ($7.50 for lunch and $9.50 for dinner). You get to pick out all the ingredients that you want (beef, lamb, pork chicken, mushroom, onion, peppers, bok choy, noodles, etc.), add some sauce to your liking, and the BBQ chef will cook your food in their large circular grill for you. When you are done with your first bowl, just go back for a second trip and get more of what you like! What's great about this place is that everything is cooked to order, in an open kitchen that all can see. It makes you feel good eating here, knowing that the kitchen is so nice and clean. Bottom line: Good addition to their Chinese rice dishes with the Mongolian BBQ. The restaurant is very nice and clean. read more

I'm sadly disappointed in this place. It's owned by the same folks who used to own the Mongolian BBQ on Sunset in Suisun. That has been my family's spot for years. Hands down my favorite place to eat. They've since sold that location and opened a BBQ only restaurant. This is an exciting concept since that's all I ever ordered from the old spot. Unfortunately, the food is flavorless. :-( It all just tastes watered down, even the canned pineapples. The selection of ingredients is much smaller, too. I'm kind of sad. To make it even sadder, the owner didn't remember my family and he's known us at the old restaurant since my daughter was a newborn. He and I have had multiple conversations about his nephew who is the same age as my son. 2 stars for a great concept, but I hope they'll get some flavor back in their food. I'll come back again someday to try again just because it's hard to not love Mongolian and it's right outside of the base which is convenient since we are there pretty often. Cheap lunch. This is our favorite place for Mongolian! Much tastier and better selection than other places around town, including the one in the Fairfield Mall. It's a must-stop for your workplace lunch bunch! I usually go at lunch for the all-you-can-eat with a group from work at least once a month. I love food, and have been pleased with the service, even though they've always been pretty busy! But.... I have not been impressed at dinner--twice my husband and I have gone and our food has tasted burned. I'm not a huge fan of their entrees, either. They offer the standard choices (Gen Tso, Orange, Sesame, etc), but the ones we have tried have way too much breading and always seem a little soggy... If you're looking for "regular" Chinese, try somewhere else. I wish I could give a 3.5! However, I rounded up to four because I really do like their lunch--it's totally worth the price! read more

I was disappointed eating here. I gathered my food items in my bowl and had it cooked. The food was fine, typical Mongolian BBQ. But as I sat there I noticed signs around saying I'd be charged extra if I didn't finish my food. Then another note saying I'd be charged $10 if I tried to take any of my food home. I realize the complications the owners must have, being a buffet and all. But diners don't want to feel stressed out when eating their meal. I don't want to worry about what I eat or don't eat, if I can take it home etc. Plus I had my two children with me, whom I paid for. But kids sometimes eat all their food and sometimes don't eat any. It's a crapshoot! So I felt stressed about them eating their food and if I was going to get charged extra for them not finishing. I don't want to feel stressed out at a restaurant. I paid good money to eat and relax. So not getting a basic restaurant experience, I give this place two Stars. The first star for a kind waitress the second star for decent food. It's make your own plate, and the counter is small, but they always have everything I want. And I like that you get to mix your own sauce, and that the garlic sauce has LOTS of real garlic, instead of garlic flavored oil like I've seen at other places. Quick, fresh, delicious lunch! (Speaking of the Mongolian BBQ) my husband and I were seated quickly today and enjoyed a decent meal. One of my only suggestions is that they should have some pre-made sauces such as a teriyaki sauce instead of having the individual sauces to make the teriyaki sauce. It holds up the line. When I read the other review, I was hopeful that maybe this location had a Chinese buffet along with the BBQ, but I was wrong. Decent selection of meats and veggies, and the sauces turned out fine.
