Sweet and Sour Pork. Hot and Sour Soup

I happened to be in this area and found this week old restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. This couple had a restaurant in Albany and decided to open one in Fairfield. Sharon runs the front of the house. She is very friendly and helpful explaining the menu. Being Chinese, I rarely order Sweet and Sour Pork, but my non-asian friend wanted it -- to my surprise, it was a huge order with freshly fried pork that was still crispy after being tossed with the not-too-sweet sauce that had bits of pineapple in it. Lots of meat and not the typical fatty-gristly pieces in a heavy batter found in low-quality Chinese restaurants. The hot and sour soup was another big portion that had perfect balance and full of ingredients. I'll be back.

I wouldn't suggest anyone to dine in, the area is very sketchy and the inside is a bit crammed. Service was ok, they are a bit short and to the point but I don't mind it's a cultural thing. I've ordered twice from this establishment. We tried chicken fried rice, general Tso's chicken, Hunan Chicken, honey walnut Shrimp along with chicken chow mein, and lastly sweet and sour chicken. Every dish was excellent. I'm a very picky eater as-well. Give them a try and support their business. They give generous portions as-well.

They make really good Mongolian Chicken! Which is hard to find! Most places only make decent Mongolian Beef. So far I haven't had anything that I didn't like. I thought the curry was just ok. The green beans are cooked to perfection! I tried the Basil Chicken and it was very good! Just an FYI... if you're not ordering through DoorDash or Uber Eats. The restaurant recommend recommends ordering directly through their website. It's definitely best to order ahead of time. Otherwise, you could be waiting a while inside. They get a lot of takeout orders. I definitely will be going back here again soon!

It's been almost ten years since I, myself, have eaten here but I was glad to see that the old school charm is still here. They have a large dining area and Mongolian BBQ available during lunch time. When we first entered, we were seated really quickly and our host was exceptionally kind to my two daughters by being patient with them and listening to my three year old babble on on how much she loves apple juice. What we ordered: Egg drop soup - My daughters loved this soup, even my picky eating daughter. She devoured her bowl and even wanted seconds. Mu shi pork - I personally liked how I was able to season the pork with a little more salt and white pepper to my desired flavor and the crepes were soft and moist. Combination chow mein - Delicious. We had second helpings of it and the flavor was on point. Not oily at all. Salt and pepper chicken - Not soggy. Nice and crispy and perfect seasoning. Walnut shrimp - tasted excellent as expected. Overall, we had a good dinning experience. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again if given the opportunity.
