This is now my local go to for Pad Thai! As requested- full of saucy flavor (unlike other local place I reviewed). Hesitate since it's a food truck but they have outdoor netted seating in shade that makes for comfortable ambiance even during a heat wave. Person taking food order was knowledgeable about ingredients. The one improvement I can suggest about service is if giving 2 bags, I would have liked to have dishes separated (cold with cold, hot with hot) especially in the summer. read more

They have their special sauce for the pork and that was delicious. The pork is well marinated. The pad Thai is a bit too salty and sweet. The beef fried rice is delicious with good beef. my biggest fear from writing this review is that everyone will see how amazing this spot is and they'll sell out of everything before my lunch. However, i'm willing to take that risk! I NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT KOB'S KITCHEN! I happen to try this spot out of the blue and it has quickly become my go to lunch spot. The food is packed with flavor and is plentiful. I can usually portion out at least 2-3 days of lunches (depending no the item) but the food is so good it doesn't make it that far! On top of being delicious, it's also (in my opinion) price affordable!! it is a food truck parked outside a small casino but they have some covered seating if you want to dine in. if your on a 30 min lunch I highly recommend calling ahead, as they cook everything at the time of order. most dishes take between 10-15 min. they allow both phone orders and an online option. If you are a lover of Thai/Laos fusion food or just wanting to try something new, you cannot go wrong here!!! Just make sure you save me some!! read more

I wish I knew about this place sooner! Kob's is tucked away behind the Napa Valley Casino, so you wouldn't even know it's there if you drove by. It's a great place to get a quick and reasonably priced Thai food fix. I've tried their spring rolls, beef banh mi, and thai tea. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty! I prefer the dipping sauce to have more of a peanut buttery flavor, but it's still really good. The banh mis are a good size and they are generous with the portion of meat on it. The beef was so flavorful & tender, and they loaded it up with veggies when I asked for extra! Their thai tea is also a must-order; it's the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I sometimes go here and only order the thai tea. The employees are also super nice and they get your order out in a very timely manner. I will be back to try more of their items! read more

Been here a maybe more than a handful of times now and let's just say only once where it was a miss. Maybe because It was nearing closing time and I didnt see the usual staff from the AM. Otherwise, the best authentic Lao food in the North Bay Area. Quick and amazing service! I appreciate the rotation of noodle soup dishes on their menu. Their Kao Piek Sen (chicken noodle soup) is a must try. The Laab (minced meat salad) reminds me of my childhood. Honorable mentions: papaya salad and pad thai. Kob's kitchen is a food truck by the casino with a few tables for a seating area right next to it. I went at night and tried a few items. I couldn't decide between fried rice and soup and the lady helped me make up my mind when she told me the soup of the day, khao soy had pork broth base with pork spareribs. I also got a side of fried chicken and a green milk tea. I ordered my food to eat there and the man brought out the food to me at the table when it was ready. The green tea was so delicious and refreshing. It had the right amount of sweetness and a delicious distinct brewed tea flavor. I love tea and it was so good and different from other teas I've tried before. The fried chicken wings were decent. The green chili sauce that came with the wings was a bit salty so I added lime and it balanced the flavor. The soup was hearty and not too heavy. The flavors were well balanced and I liked how they gave chili oil paste and lime on the side to complement it. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the price was decent. Egg rolls - the filling was new to me but it was delicious, especially with the sauce. They are open 6 days a week. 11-8 pm. Finally a good Laos/Thai spot close by. Everything was delicious. My top 4 was the Ribs, Nam Khao, Chicken Larp (I got mild, you can ask for spicier), and the Kha Poon was pretty good. It's a coconut curry base noodles with chicken. The spice level was just right. I always order mild because Laos food can get pretty spicy as you level up your spice. The staff was super friendly. I'll definitely be back for more! read more

I don't leave reviews often but this is the best lao/thai cuisine I've had since going to Laos and Thailand. The definition of authentic Lao Cuisine. Since learning about this place last week I came back again today and it was exactly as I remember it. Great food, amazing service, I wish they had DoorDash as I would order for delivery every week, hopefully they see this review and add it in the future. So happy I came across Lao/Thai food in the area! They have all the popular dishes you'd hope for at a Lao cuisine. However, I only tried the papaya salad, Nam Kao, and Thai iced tea. Papaya salad is okay, I prefer lao style. Their medium spice tasted like a level 1 or 2 spice out of 5. Nam Kao was really good. The parking was full because this is for the casino so that's understandable but you'll find a few parking in the back. You might think the price is high but if you know how much work goes in making Thai or Laos food . It takes a lot of work. I ordered the papaya salad ( medium ) the flavor was exactly what i expected . It wasn't too spicy . It's great how they threw in the vermicelli noodles and cabbage . Very traditional. The amount of Sticky rice we received was good . You can tell it was made fresh and not microwaved from the freezer. The pork ribs were cooked to perfection and not too salty or oily. They give u a good amount. The fried chicken was good as well . Flavor was good. The sauce that came with the chicken and ribs was good and wasn't too spicy . My friend and I stopped here, for the first time, for lunch today. Kob's Kitchen is a food truck placed in a safe, pleasant location, with a screened outdoor seating area. We ordered our food at the window and the owner brought our food to the seating area. We shared a delicious meal of fried pork and sticky rice with sauce, and a generous portion of pad thai.
