    Pork Sinigang.
    Dori B.

Never again! My DoorDash order of Pork Sinigang today, was beyond HORRIBLE, it was downright GROSS AND INEDIBLE! However, if you like old reheated...so much that the pork was shredded and lacked vegetables, this is your place! I am not of Asian descent, however, my homemade Sinigang, will put this establishment to shame. I mean, where is the daikon and okra? Your green beans were too soft to even eat!

We moved to Oakley almost a month ago and we were surprised to see a Filipino store in Brentwood. We thought we had to drive down to Pittsburgh to get to the nearest Filipino store. The place is not that big compared to the well-known stores. It's just a small mom-and-pop store like a sari-sari store. However, it has several items that you might need for your kitchen and other Filipino items. My wife wanted to make halo halo and we found the items to make it. We also bought a Magnolia Ube ice cream. They also have several cooked Filipino foods. We didn't buy one but I was browsing around the store and the food looks good. We might try them once we come back. I also noticed frozen items like lumpia, purefood hotdogs, tapa, longaniza, etc. I was surprised to see several items that they sell in a small store. We don't have to drive far just to fill up on our cooking essentials, snacks, and other Filipino items you see from a big-name store. We were able to talk to the owner and she was very sweet and nice. The service was excellent and they asked us what we needed. If you need some Filipino essentials and you live in Brentwood or Oakley, come down to Mabuhay before taking a longer drive to Pittsburg.

Yummy always helpful staff , hot food and cold drinks. It's really small inside but you find almost anything you need from snacks lunch breakfast and dinner.

My wife and I wanted to taste the pork adobo. Our favorite Filipino catering is in Milpitas. Hoping that the dish would taste the same or even better so we don't need to commute. Good: The staff were very nice. Store is clean and organized. Bad: Pork adobo was just okay. If someone asked me to taste without knowing what it is, I would never thought it was adobo. The store felt really cramped which would be bad if it was crowded. Overprice Honestly, I would not come back and try other dishes.

Birthday boy with his Kamayan for his party.

Threw my son a surprise 21st birthday. Menu was one of the first things I locked in...Boodle Fight aka kamayan. Since we were hosting it out of my bffs house in Antioch I needed to find a place that offered what I needed. I wasn't going to have time to taste several spots, so the photos and reviews on Yelp were going to need to come in clutch. I called on Thursday and was able to make my order over the phone. The party was Saturaday. I ordered the following: 1. 50 veggie lumpias 2. Large tray of menudo 3. Large tray of rice 4. Large tray of pancit bihon 5. 2 fried tilapia 6. Large tray of chicken afritada 7. Small tray of pinkabet 8. Small tray of chop suey I then went in a few hours after making my order over the phone because I needed to confirm the sizes of the trays to see if I needed to increase my order. I was pleased with the portion sizes. We even left with a halo halo. The halo halo did the trick bit was missing more beans, coconut strips, pieces of Leche flan and a sprinkle of pinipig. Although, maybe I'm used to the elevated Halo Halo's. The place is a store/catering kitchen. Although they do have a small buffet of already cooked food you can choose from if you just want a plate of stuff. Think Goldilocks. They also have a frozen food section with frozen staples as well as frozen lumpias you can take home to cook. I went on Saturday at 11 and my order was ready. The chipper gentleman at the counter who greeted me even helped wheel out all the trays on a cart and helped load them in the car. He even gave specific warnings of which trays we needed to ensure we didn't tilt as it had sauce that would definitely drip. The warning was very much appreciated. All the food was delicious. No complaints from either myself or guests. It was all fresh. Flavors were on point. My only not even complaint just it was different that the menudo was not diced as I'm used to. The flavor profile of the menudo was on point, I'm just used to a dish wherein all the ingredients are bite sized so you get the perfect bite with each spoonful. I'll be back if I'm carving food, don't feel like cooking it and am in town.

    Chicken Adobo $7.99

Had a customer next door and decided to have lunch here today. I chose a 1 item with Chicken Adobo. Came with a cup of white rice. This was very good and temp hot. Adobo gravy over the top of the rice was perfect. Definitely hit the spot for my Filipino food craving. Next time I'm in town I will be eating here again. I also ordered Lumpia to go, 6 pieces. Hot and crunchy. Not soggy at all which means they are freshly cooked. This is also a market for all you take home goodies.

Alright, still crackin and hasn't disappointed us at all! This is our Sunday go to when we don't want to cook breakfast, but you do still need to go their before church is finished, because I tell you now, this place is super crowded when church is over - LOL. Other than that, don't order online or over the phone. I feel like to actually enjoy this place, you have to physically go there and get and make your order. Plus there's other stuff in the store you might get curious to try and just buy it. I mean that's what we do - HAHAHAA!

    Lumpia
    Yvonne M.

I was very disappointed in the lumpia. Every piece was broken during frying, exposing salty and dry meat. Worst lumpia I've ever had. I had to throw half of it away because it was inedible. However the sinigang was good. The breakfast plates are decent too if you are craving a Filipino breakfast.

"Una Tradicion Familiar Por Mas De Medio Siglo"…read more I recently purchased some handmade "Authentic" Queso Oaxaca "Hecho a Mano" at the newly opened Pandaria/Taqueria where the old Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory used to be in Seaside on Freemont Blvd. (Now Zimatlan Bakery.) Like Mozarella Cheese this stuff is naturally stringy but can be shredded using a lovely cheese grater. I used it this mornign to make Huevos Rancheros and I know this panderia uses it freely especially to top the Molotes (little Oaxacan Cigars) at this pretty popular joint. Popular to the community of Seaside which is currently a Latino majority now (or so it seems) and so you know this place is good. The cheese itself is kind of bland but when used in combination with other food this cheese has great texture and just adds a little bit of authenticity to your Mexican cooking. Enjoy! On a side note: I've always been a big fan of Mexican Food especially after spending a summer in Zacatecas, Mexico when I was 16. I still can remember my favorite dish (besides burros for breakfast) Pozole Verde. I make it sometime but wonder if any restaurants in the 831 make a good batch. Upon return from my trip my grade in high school Spanish went from a C+ to an A.... my SAT II scores were 200 points higher in Spanish than in English... I guess my English is just no bueno! LOL.

Food: The hot tri-tip sandwich was unfortunately ice cold, lacked flavor, and was overcooked. I had to use a lot of barbecue sauce just to make it enjoyable.
