Absolutely loved the cherry picking experience here! $4 a pound is not bad at all. These cherries were delicious, juicy, and sweet! Everyone was so friendly and courteous when it came to the ladders. For it to be a holiday weekend, we expected there to be no room to move around. Even though they were packed, they had more than enough cherries to go around and be picked. I highly recommend printing out the waiver beforehand! They also only take cash or check so make sure you add that stop before coming here.

Took a homeschool field trip today to pick some cherries after some clients brought us some last week.. Found Maggiore Ranch online open during the week (today!) and hopped in the car and went. Great day to go.. perfect weather, lots of parking, easy to find, super friendly people. AND.. the cherries are delicious. We came home with a bucket of Brooks cherries. They aren't as sweet as Bings or traditional store bought, but they are delicious. Lots of tall ladders. If able, climb the ladder, find the bigger darker cherries.. juicy and sweeter than the brighter smaller cherries which can be tart. Bring cash or check and your own bucket or bag (as listed on the website). We may come back when other cherries are ready. The weather totally cooperated too, making this an super enjoyable outing to get out of the house, learn a little, and have something to show (and taste) for it later... Totally recommend this place! We visited the Walnut Ave. location.

We haven't been to this farm for years as we've been going and trying other places. But this year the trees were full of cherries! The trees were so full, but this year the cherries were smaller but still really good. I remember years ago, the cherries were bigger, not sure if we ventured the wrong way. Just for reference, we pass the pay station and went right into the blue tree area, and headed to the bad. The blue trees which were Corals didn't look ripe enough for our taste, maybe in a week or so it will be good. The trees we picked from had no color, so not sure which ones they were. The cherries were $4 /lb for the 2023 season. Parking and service was good, plenty of ladders to climb to get to the nice dark cherries high in the tree.

Excellent ranch! We had a fun time! My first time cherry picking and had a great experience at this ranch. It was huge with plenty of shade and ladders. Some cherry variation are better than others but there was plenty of cherries! I can't wait to go back!

Maggiore Ranch. Note and it did say on the website- no buckets provided- BYOB. They did have plastic shopping bags at the entrance, you have to ask for it. Finally check off my list for U-Pick Strawberries and it was so much fun. Everything is outdoors, face masks are to be worn at all times. There were portable restrooms. Staff was very nice. Parking was easy and plentiful. Great fun, weekend to do. The quality of the cherries was perfect. A many of the visitors, everyone bought water bottles to washed and had them as snacks while picking. They are semi sweet and sweet. It wasn't crowded when we arrive although there were a few groups of people. I love how cute and bright red the cherries were. We enjoyed picking the cherries so much. We continued to eat a handful right when we got back to the car and as we headed home. If you're looking for a great experience, friendly staff definitely come here. Really looking forward to coming back next season. Final Damage: $3.50/lb./ 18 lbs. = $64.00. Walnut Blvd, Brentwood has many farms and fruit/vegetables stands along this street.

This place is a huge and clean farm to pick cherries. Their cherries are sweet and huge. I removed one yelp Star for poor customer service. People at the paying station are not friendly and nice. Parking location is close to the farm. There is very shaded area so wear your sun block and wear protective gears Like a good sun hat and lots of drinking water.

Review #090 - 2020 After we spent about half an hour picking strawberries over at Chan's Fruit Stand, I decided to take the kids over to pick cherries again. The place we went to pick cherries at last week was a little disappointing so I wanted to see if Maggiore had better tasting cherries, and sure enough they did! We showed up at around 2 PM on Friday, May 15th, and the parking lot was pretty full, but we still managed to find a good parking spot right in front. Before we got started, I had to sign a consent form, which I honestly did not read. Masks are required for anyone over the age of 13. My 11-year old niece was super excited because she's never picked cherries before and she was able to pick strawberries & cherries in one day. My older brother was much more excited about picking cherries than strawberries, because I guess he's not a big fan of strawberries either. We spent about half an hour here as well and picked about 10lbs of cherries altogether. I think we must have picked about the same weight in cherries as we did strawberries because the total came out to the same price, $28! The cherries here are plentiful, plump & sweet! The kids had a great time! Now, I'll remember where to come back to for sweet, juicy cherries!

We tried the other cherry farms in Brentwood, but Maggiore by far is our favorite as they have the sweetest cherries. We've been going to this farm for 6 years in a row now and have always been extremely satisfied with our experience. Love this place! Come early in the morning during cherry picking season to avoid traffic and the HEAT! Cherry picking season typically starts from early May through mid June. Best to come early in the season so the trees haven't been picked out yet. Kids will then be able to enjoy picking the cherries as they're reachable. They provide plastic bags for the cherries. They used to provide a bucket, but it seems they've stopped providing it. They also provide a ladder, which you'll find along the path so no need to bring one. Wear a hat and bring water to help cope with the heat. Coming early in the morning makes a HUGE difference!

This place is so nice .I have to go back for 3 times with my family and friends. I also brought my kids to enjoy the weekend.

My daughter and I go here every year for Mother's Day to pick cherries. This tends to always be the first Sunday of the season as well. This ranch always has the biggest and richest cherries. Due to the mature trees, their orchard produces very large cherries that are deep red, crisp and juicy during bing picking season. There are plenty of ladders to use and they are light and easy to move. This year (2019), the price is $3.50 per pound and one white bucket (that they provide) usually holds 10lbs give or take. We always buy 10+ lbs to start and come back in 3 or so weeks for reineer cherry season at the same farm! This is the best place, I highly recommend it, we've been coming here for years!

picked here today, our check in was easy, all workers here were very friendly, farms has lots of cherry tress, it also organized well, trees are nice and clean ( without those white spots all overs leaves, that can make people wondering if had just got sprayed...), cherry trees are fresh but has many ripe enough cherries for us to pick, we were charged $3.5 per lbs, which we consider very reasonable fees, yes I 100% recommended this "cherry U-Pick. Unfortunately, it was too late to get reservations for the next day but a friend had mentioned there was another farm taking walk-ins so we decided to give them a try. Following the long line of traffic down Sellers Avenue we found our destination was sold out. Although the city seemed busy, I was determined to find a spot to pick some cherries. We drove toward Delta Road and happen to stumble upon Dwelley Farms. Thankfully, they weren't too busy yet and were taking walk-ins for $5 per adult and children free. The $5 fee would also go toward whatever cherries were picked for purchase. The person in the front explained their rate was a little higher than others since their farm was organic. The farm was clean, easy to navigate through and had covid protocols in place. We were directed toward the riper, fuller trees and found them to be quite sweet and plentiful. Seeing the excitement of my parents and husband and son bonding over cherry picking filled my heart. They were all having so much fun picking and trying cherries I only picked a handful while snapping photos and enjoying their happiness. I do not remember how long we stayed at the farm but lots of smiles and $43 in cherries later we left with 8lbs of cherries. And did we eat them all? YES, because they were that good. I'm happy we found Dwelley Farms and look forward to visiting them again next year.

(3.5 stars, rounded up to 4)…read more The Urban Edge Farm is well-known for their peach and apricots during the summer time. But who said U-Pick season has to end after the summer? During the fall, they offer other U-Pick fruits, such as pomegranates, persimmons, and kumquats. Last weekend, we decided to try out their persimmon U-Pick. I initially found out about when their persimmon U-Pick would be available through an Instagram comment (there weren't any lnstagram posts or events on their website directly advertising this year's persimmon season), but I also double-checked by calling them the morning of before making the trek to Brentwood. The front of the farm area is a little store front, where you can buy fresh produce that's been harvested directly from the farm. This is also where you weigh your fruits after picking them. After completing the liability form via QR code, they drive you and your guests on a jeep to the fruit trees (and back). During the short drive to the persimmon trees, we also spotted baby cherry trees, a couple of pomegranate trees, and what appeared to be a grapefruit tree. As for the persimmons, there were about 5 Fuyu trees and 2 Hachiya trees. There were plenty of Fuyus available for us to pick. On the other hand, the Hachiya trees were quite bare so we only ended up finding and picking one that was ripe enough. At $4/lb for both varieties of persimmons, we ended up paying around ~$17 for 12 persimmons. The persimmons that were ripe enough to eat were nice and sweet. Getting the U-Pick experience without the summer heat and with reasonable prices was great. The only downside to this experience was the abundance of ants on the trees. The ants got on my hands, clothes, and even my face and the top of my head. The ants didn't appear to affect the quality of the fruit, since they were mainly on the branches and the tops of the persimmon leaves. I wasn't afraid of getting ants on me, but it was starting to get bothersome having to swat the ants away from my body and the persimmons I picked. I thought I had gotten rid of all the ants before leaving and getting into my car, but throughout the ride home, I spotted some straggler ants on my lap and arms, and even on the windshield! So take that into consideration if you're not particularly fond of ants.
