Tomkha Soup
Amanda H.

The food is sooo goood! We ordered a whole bunch of stuff to try. The server was super sweet. The restaurant is very unassuming as it is basically tucked into a strip mall. We ordered the Tomkha Soup, fresh rolls, cucumber salad, and something else I can't remember what it was called. Can't wait to go back. We wanted to try the Papaya Salad but they were out...so next time! As usual, we started eating before we snapped a pic.

Was in the area and decided to dine-in this time. The Vietnamese roll is now determined to be a favorite at this place! It was better enjoying them at the restaurant fresh and warm! Crunchy and very tasty! The yellow curry mild had a little (tolerable) kick to it. Love them potatoes and carrots in that dish! Although towards the end of our meal, it got near closing time, we did not feel rushed. Our server was nice with a quiet demeanor. Happy to report we actually finished our meal before closing time. I would recommend dining in!

Went there for my birthday recently and made reservations beforehand for a larger crowd since I know its usually a pretty small waitstaff (1-2ppl). Everything was delicious amd came out promptly. Only complaint was that we only ordered one dish slightly spicy, but several of the dishes came out hotter than it normally is. I was fine with it, but I know some of my friends struggled to eat some of the food. The waitress had confirmed our order when she left and correctly repeated back we only wanted one dish medium hot, so I dont know what happened. Still a favorite of mine, but would like to warn those who can't handle spicy food to be very clear when ordering what your spice tolerance is.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff at the front. I ordered the Chicken Cashew Nut, it was amazing, I absolutely loved it! I definitely plan on coming back again, and would recommend to my friends. I've ordered Cashew Nut at other restaurants before but in my opinion this was the best I've had so far. Restaurant inside is clean, quiet and roomy with a nice set up for seating. 5 Stars all around.

Red Curry

First time trying this place. It was completely empty when we walked in but was greeted with great service. For drinks, my family and I ordered the Thai tea and thai green tea. I wasn't a big fan of the Thai tea it was overly sweet in my opinion. The Thai green tea was pretty sweet too but I liked it a little better than the regular Thai tea. I probably wouldn't order it again. The soda tasted a little bit diluted/less carbonated than I would like it though. I ordered the tom yum with medium spice, mango fried rice, chicken red curry and pad thai medium spice. For the tom yum, the spice was perfect. It wasn't bad in taste I would give it a 7.5/10. The mango fried rice was the first time I've ever tried it. My family usually orders the pineapple fried rice. It seems like it contains the same ingredients as the pineapple fried rice but juice with mangoes there was an after taste to it due to a specific spice they put in it that I was not used to but it was very good. 10/10. I didn't try my family's red curry but did not hear any complaints. But wowwww the pad thai was 10000/10. One of the best I have ever tried. It was not lacking in flavor AT ALLL. very well done. I could tell prior to my visit that the pictures I saw on yelp did not disappoint. And having to try it in person confirmed it. Only thing is it didn't really taste like there was any spice but the flavor was outstanding. I can't wait to come back again! Hopefully next time I will make more room for the mango sticky rice :p

Khao Soi and Panang Curry with White Rice

This is my first time here. I was greeted immediately with the sweetest server. The food was AMAZING! The curry was so rich with flavor and so was the Khao Soi. The Khao Soi is almost like a green and yellow curry noodle soup. Definitely something new that I've tried and I loved it. Consider trying it if you come:) I also had the Thai tea which is a must have at any Thai restaurant and it was also tasty. The atmosphere on a Saturday was quiet & calming. Restaurant is clean and relaxing. Check this place out. Would definitely come again.

Nothing special about the decor, but this place has excellent food! I especially couldn't stop with the Pad Thai - soooo delicious. The sweet & sour pork was a little skimpy on pork. Parking is easy for large groups.

Fresh Rolls with Shrimp

The Shrimp Fresh Rolls are huge, fresh and healthy. Just $9.99 so not bad and healthy AF paired with a a delightful Tomha shrimp soup. Empty place on a cold Thursday night 11/7. After I ate the rolls I ate all the peanut sauce. Yes, you can do that.

Giving a 3/5 star because my dish really wasn't all too tasty. Got the sweet and sour pork and tasted like ketchup ontop of pork and it was mainly veggies on my dish. Everyone else's dishes were all pretty good though. The pad Thai and cashew chicken both tasty as well as the coffee which comes with a free refill. Super cute and quiet and clean inside. Will reevaluate rating next time I go and hopefully my dish will be up to par. Service was great as well.

I had given up and hadn't eaten Thai food in Sac and surrounding cities for a long time because of this. Then my friend invited me out to dinner at My Thai Kitchen and with one bite of their curry puff appetizer and pad Thai, FINALLY! The Thai flavors I've been searching for! It was happy hour, so we enjoyed $1 off shumai and curry puffs. This was my friend's first time trying both, and all disappeared in both of our bellies! The curry puffs were filled with potatoes and vegetables, with the perfect hint of spice. Their Pad Thai is exactly how I like it, not too sweet and tangy. Our protein was shrimp and they serve such a large quantity that I had delicious leftovers for three days! We dined outside and enjoyed their large patio, and service from beginning to end was excellent, so much that one of the employees asked us if we wanted dessert in the end and excitedly convinced us to order the mango with the black sticky rice. The mango with sticky rice was already catching our eyes from the menu photos, so the server's excitement was enough for us to make our decision quickly! I looked through the windows and saw how beautifully decorated their interior dining area is. I highly recommend My Thai. Their menu is extensive, so anyone will find something to their liking. Needless to say, I have now made this my Thai spot must go!

First time here - everything was clean and ample seating. We were greeted immediately and were advised to order up front prior to seating. It took a while to figure out what to order, but we ended up getting: Fresh Rolls Tom Yum Pad see ew Rad nah Thai Fried Rice Kra Pow Kai Dow Rad Nah Way too much food for a party of 5. After being seated, the food arrived in a timely manner. There was however an issue with one plate we had ordered that did not come (we ended up cancelling it). The food itself? The presentation was great. There was however no consensus on the enjoyment of the multiple dishes. A big mix of meh/okay/good. I think a lot of it had to do with any dishes with chicken - the chicken in a few dishes were a tad bit too dry. We requested for all dishes to be mild (just in case), and one of the dishes was extremely spicy for some of the party. Overall, I'd like to give this location another shot solo - some dishes just taste better with different types of protein (for me).

I had placed an order to go. I had no idea how expensive Thai food was. I think I got three different meals. I got an appetizer platter to try multiple things pad Thai and then something else that I don't remember the name of. I believe it's a family owned business and the daughter was the one who helped me. She was very sweet and I asked her for a suggestion on the appetizers. I believe she suggested green curry empanadas but I'm not 100% sure. I walked in and it definitely gave hole in the wall vibes. They had my food ready and were very kind. The ambience is cozy and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal. The chicken Penang curry was incredible, rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. The chicken satay was perfectly grilled, tender, and paired with a peanut sauce that took it over the top. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so good with the dipping sauce. Every bite was a hit. Between the amazing food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the genuine hospitality of this family-owned restaurant, I cannot recommend Khun Suda enough.

The restaurant is nice and clean and comfortable. Very simply and tastefully decorated and the staff were pleasant and let us take our time getting settled in to the menu. We all ordered their cream cheese wontons to share, and they were so good, we ordered two more orders! They were more flavorful, with the addition of garlic, than the usual ones you get at other restaurants, and we all really enjoyed them! The curries my step granddaughters ordered looked heavenly and they really liked them, and my husband ordered his favorite dish, Thai basil beef, my father and mother in law and I ordered pineapple shrimp and chicken fried rice, and my stepson ordered a curry dish. We all really enjoyed them and their servings are HUGE! We all took home leftovers, which was a plus! Be prepared for large servings! The only drawback (if you want to consider it that) to our dinner was the level of spiciness here. Fr those of us who ordered mild heat, it was way more spicy than we are used to, so, if you aren't a fan of very spicy Thai food, be aware and order it with none. My father and mother in law, who are in their mid 80's, were smart and ordered their fried rice with no spice. I've never been to a Thai restaurant (one of my favorite cuisines!) that had such spicy mil. I just thought I'd warn my fellow Yelpers who are sensitive to hot and spicy food. We all left happy and really enjoyed our food. Oh, their Thai iced tea is delicious and is a very reasonable price, compared to other Thai restaurants.

We decided to stay in and do takeout last night, and it was just as good as dining in. We got their Thai Chow Mein and got it "crazy spicy." They have different levels of spice and "crazy spicy" is the spiciest. If you like a real kick, their highest spice level is the way to go. My husband usually sticks with his favorite, the chicken satay with peanut sauce, which is consistently delicious. I also grabbed a Thai Iced Tea, which was super refreshing.  When I went in to pick up our order, I noticed they've updated the decor recently and it looks really nice. In the past, we've come by on weekend evenings when they have live music, which adds such a great vibe. It's also super convenient because there's usually plenty of parking in the lot. We sat indoors at a window booth. The interior on first glance appears upscale and nicely appointed until one looks closer at the abundance of artifical flowers and plants engulfing the upper perimeter of the room. Plus it could use some sprucing up as well. Overall if you don't look too hard it's nice enough. I have found at both pick up and this time eating in that the service is not overly friendly, just matter of fact and bordering on surly. No one appears to be enjoying their job. Nonetheless the food is consistently good, and the prime reason for a visit. The menu is broad and there are many choices from the usual Thai dishes plus a good array of seafood. This time I selected the Thai Chow Mein with my selection of tofu for the protein. I ordered it "spicy", one step below "Thai Spice". I ordered it with a Saporro beer on tap. Service and delivery of food was prompt and the dish look very appealing and appetizing. All of the flavors were absolutely delicious and the chow mein noodles tasty and perfectly cooked. The tofu was good and nicely cooked as well, still tender and lightly toasted on the outside. I found the spiciness level just OK under what I was expecting and hoped for, which hasn't been the case with my other takeout or delivery orders. Orchid Thai is a good, consistent restaurant. I will definitely continue to have them as a 'go-to' option for delicious Thai food.
