Was late getting to town and the first thing Yelp showed me was this restaurant and it sounded great. We went and they have just SO many great options but it was late and we were tired so I asked the waitress her recommendations and she suggested the mixed grill plate. This was the third time I had dinner there and have never been disappointed. The service is consistently friendly, helpful and efficient. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The cold appetizer platter was excellent and honestly could have been a very flavorful dinner in itself. I had the Sultan's Delight with Chicken served with their smoked eggplant sauce. I LOVE Anatolian table & the staff. My husband and I first started coming here for Turkish coffee & Baklava as a treat every so often (which by the way is DELICIOUS). The first thing we had ever ordered food wise outside of our delicious treat was the Shepard Salad- absolutely amazing! Even my husband loved it! It is now one of his go to to order when we visit! Tonight was Christmas and everything was closed, I had a feeling Henry and his hard working staff would be open and sure enough they were! We had the absolute pleasure of spending our Christmas here and I don't regret the choice! I'm so happy we didn't go somewhere else. We ordered the Shepards Salad (Henry the owner sent over some hummus on the house to try with the salad which was even more delicious!) we ordered the Sea Bass with rice, salmon filet, white wines (the menu even suggests what is a great pairing option so I went based off that- so helpful) and for dessert of course our baklava and Turkish coffee!! The Sea Bass was beyond words.. truly. It looked beautiful and the taste was astonishing! The salmon was cooked to perfection and some fresh squeezed lemon on top of the rice was just PERFECT! The staff was incredibly kind, and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owners wife, who is both beautiful on the outside and inside! She was such a sweetheart. What an unassuming gem!!! My husband decided he wanted to try this place before we went to the movies for his birthday. Didn't expect much, and the inside is very relaxed- but the food and the service are definitely both worth coming back for! We got the spicy hummus to start. The pita is fresh and quite literally melts in your mouth. The hummus was smooth and just the right amount of spice. It was so good I honestly could have just had this and nothing else. I got the Adana sandwich. The lamb was evenly spiced, and the char on the pita gave it almost a smokey bbq flavor on top of that. The fries were crunchy and delicious. Our server was super nice and attentive. I can't wait to try what else they have to offer. Skip the popcorn and come here before the movies! There was only one waiter and he was great at coming by often but not too often. I was disappointed with this place. The hummus was good but you get a few small pieces of pita. Hardly enough to finish the hummus. The Steak kebab was okay, bland, a little tough and chewy. The lamb kofte was better. The portions were small. The plates looked half empty. A five small pieces of meat and a little portion of rice and salad for $21. I went before covid and it was the same. The place was practically empty (so very quiet), but I was shocked because it's a great place to eat! I noticed that they don't serve lunch every day, so they may have just started a lunch business, but please come try Anatolian and get the word out! Overpriced. Overrated. We had ordered four different dishes and all four of us had a similar feedback: it felt overpriced for the quality of food. Rice was undercooked, one skewer of meat on each plate was way too dry and tasteless. Side dishes on the plate felt like they were prepared a night before. One waiter servicing an entire restaurant was definitely felt, since it took her over 20 minutes to take our order and we never even gotten water. Definitely not going back! Switching it to 2 stars after owner's reply! I never questioned or wrote about the time it took to prepare a meal. I stated that it took 20 minutes for your only one waiter to take my order but thanks for recommending McDolnalds. You'll never see me in your restaurant again. read more
