Brown sugar milk tea with lychee jelly
Jennifer N.

FOOD/DRINKS - Brown Sugar Milk Tea: not very sweet. 3.5/5 - Chocolate Chip Cookie: hard but chewy. 4/5 - Biscoff White Chocolate Cookie: tasty combo. 4/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. The milk tea was okay but there's a lot of different options such as coffee, matcha, iced tea, and more. Other sweet options were gelato, macarons, tiramisu and more.

The interior is bright with the tall skylight and many windows. There are some nice touches, including the macaron wall. I was surprised how busy it was, but I think it's location next to Nugget helps. I ordered the mango matcha sticky rice and strawberry matcha macaron. I enjoyed the drink, even though the matcha could've been stronger. The texture of the macaron was right and it had a good amount of cream.

biscoff latte and thai tea macaron

The natural sunlight in here is refreshing! Nice place to catch up with friends but the star of the show is in their coffee and tea. I tried the biscoff latte and I absolutely loved it, not too sweet and not bitter but definitely a jolting caffeine experience there. My friend's matcha was tasty too and of high quality! My only complaint really is that the macaron was pretty hard so I likely wouldn't get that again, but if you're a big fan of macarons their selection is plentiful. Their cafe menu is decently expansive also, it's impossible to choose but everything I've tried so far is amazing. Glad to have them in this space

We've stopped by a few times now. I'd say it's 4.5 rounded up to a 5. It's a cute, contemporary, airy, bright space with lots of windows & natural light, especially from the rotunda entry. It makes for a really lovely setting to enjoy a treat. However, on a hot day & depending on the time, the sun can stream in strongly making it warm inside. Seating is at small tables, a low & high bar, & at outdoor tables with umbrellas along the front. They offer different kinds of beverages, macarons, baked goods, sweets, & gelato. Customer service has been good from staff who greet us & are friendly & helpful. On our first visit, the owner, Bao, introduced himself & shared info about the business & menu items. We've gotten the 1987, Biscoff Latte, & Thai Milk Tea. We've liked the coffee drinks a lot, but the Biscoff Latte has been inconsistently made with it being notably creamier the second time we got it. Still, it's been tasty. The Thai Milk Tea is fine, but I personally prefer a stronger tea flavor & less (non-dairy) creaminess. Note--If you request light ice, they explain that ingredients are weighed out to specifications, so the drink volume will be lower in the cup. We've tried several macarons. We also received a free one because apparently the macarons need to cure for 48 hours before serving & we had purchased one that was taken out too early. We were told to refrigerate it for a day before eating. The macaron shells are thicker, sturdier, & more substantial than usual French macarons. In general, they've been tasty & not overly sweet. They only have a cashless payment system. This is a nice spot that we enjoy coming back to for a yummy treat.

I tried this place with my sister and it was a great experience. The person that took our order was very nice ,quick and honest. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing. It had lots of sun light with all the windows. We order several items to share The mini cheese cake cupcakes in 4 flavors we halted each of them and really liked them all especially the lemon raspberry one. Got a few macrons and our favorite was the ube one. The match with sesame was also very good. We will definitely come back to try more of the desserts and drinks.

Mango sticky rice matcha
Prexa J.

I had the sticky rice mango matcha, and it was absolutely amazing! It was super good, nice and sweet, and so refreshing. The restaurant itself is really nice, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay awhile. I also tried the Nutella and passion fruit macarons, and both were really good. I'll definitely be coming back!

A long time Rooftop fan....words cannot explain how excited I was to find out one was opening down the street from my house in Roseville!!!!! This location is next to Nugget Market and Mimosa House. It's easy to find and there's a ton of parking. They have tons of indoor and outdoor seating. It's spacious and bright inside. Don't forget to sign up for their Rewards Program while checking out!!! And they do not accept cash. My all time favorite is the Banana Coffee (not to be confused with the Banana Bread Latte, as they are completely different). My daughter loves their Earl Grey Matcha and Banana Matcha. Their MACramisu is a super fun and yummy twist on tiramisu using macarons. You gotta try them! My youngest loves the mini cheesecake bites. Perfect size for her! Hopefully the decide to bring them back! My goal is to try every macaron they offer. They are fluffy and tasty! Oh and so colorful!!!! 1000000/10 recommend.

I was super excited to find out rooftop has another location located in Roseville which is 15 mins away from where I live (so dangerous) I fell in love with their early grey matcha and their smores macaron at their elk grove location and I fell In love with them again this time. I went during the first day of their soft opening, literally waited for their doors to open at 7. They were a little rough to start, new staff getting used to the flow, but Im sure it will be smooth with time. The overall space is open and bright with the skylight and large windows. Plenty of seating both inside and out. Definitely my new go-to for drinks and treats.

Jeannie K.

I came during their soft opening and got 15% off my order. Inside decor was cute and updated from the old Peet's that used to be there. I loved the macarons: tiramisu, pistachio, strawberry matcha and black sesame. Not your typical French macarons. These were less sweet and the texture was more of a chewy cookie which I actually enjoyed. They have alot of flavors and my favorite was the black sesame and strawberry matcha My husband tried the durian egg coffee and he loved it. It was like a Vietnamese iced coffee with subtle durian flavor. I wasn't a fan of the macamisu which is their spin of a macaron and tiramisu. The regular macarons were better for me but my husband liked the macamisu. I'm excited to their other flavors of their macaron and they have a huge drink menu

Double matcha
Mary W.

Orders double matcha. Matcha just taste ok for my taste. Overall, it's a nice place to hang out and get some drink but I think it can fit more tables than just a few.

Biscoff coffee, banana bread matcha, espresso macaron, thai tea macaron.

Very pretty and clean inside, nice employees the drinks were ok! coffee was strong and nice biscoff cream, but the matcha lacks that earthy green you look for in a matcha, doesnt really taste like matcha. The macarons were beautiful in presentation but had no flavor of what they were supposed to be, just tasted like sugar. Still had an amazing texture though nice and chewy and the cream in the middle was thick but airy and melted in my mouth. (i only tried the 2 flavors thai tea and espresso so im not sure about the others)

Biscoff & ube

The concept and the options are great but my goodness it takes a long time. Came in at 12:50 and we only had a group of 4 and a group of 2 ahead of us. We ordered within 5 minutes and got our drinks and macaron at 1:10. 20 minutes is a kind of unacceptable for a coffee shop. The drinks were pretty good but nothing to wait 20 minutes over.

Unfortunately, we had the displeasure of being helped by Trish. She was noticeably rude to my sister from the start. The irritation and outright contempt she displayed were unlike anything we've experienced at this location. She even spoke negatively about our order to the coworker making the drinks while we were standing just a few feet away, which was incredibly unprofessional. When we received the no-ice drinks, we understood that ordering without ice might mean the cup wouldn't be completely full. However, the amount of the drink we were given was unacceptable. While the drinks are delicious and worth to us, they are $8.00! Thankfully, when we requested a refund, it was handled by a different employee who was kind, courteous, and professional. I want to end by saying that my sister was polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction. The way she was treated was completely uncalled for, and we left feeling very disappointed. We have been visiting this location for many years and have never had an experience like this before.

Absolutely AMAZING!…read more I tried the Fresh Persimmon Matcha at Sweet Oven, and this drink seriously exceeded my expectations! The fresh persimmon is what makes it so special--you can actually taste and feel the real fruit in every sip. The persimmon flesh has this incredibly smooth, silky, almost jelly-like texture that makes the drink feel rich and luxurious without being heavy. And the matcha is TOP NOTCH. It has a strong, bold matcha flavor that tastes fresh and high quality--not weak, overly milky, or drowned in sweetness. You get that beautiful earthy matcha taste first, followed by the naturally sweet, mellow flavor of the persimmon. The combination works SO well together. I also love that the persimmon adds a natural sweetness and creamy texture instead of making the drink taste artificially flavored. Every sip has a slightly different mix of matcha, creamy milk, and soft pieces of persimmon. It's refreshing, unique, and honestly unlike the typical matcha drinks you find everywhere else. If you love a strong matcha and fresh fruit, you NEED to try this one. The texture, flavor, and freshness are all on point. Definitely one of my new favorite drinks at Sweet Oven and something I would order again! The customer service was wonderful! I was greeted with a smile, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful when I was deciding what to order. The space is clean, organized, and inviting, which makes the whole experience even better. Sweet Oven is such a pleasant little spot to grab your favorite drink, treat yourself to one of their yummy, over-the-top macarons or cookies, and catch up with a friend. Great drinks, beautiful & delicious treats, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere--I'll definitely be back!

We actually have purchased her macarons at a pop up inside a coffee shop that didn't survive these covid times. Sad but real. This past December 2021 Saturday she was located inside the West Elm furniture store nearby Mendocino Farms restaurant. My wife was mistaken thinking she was outside but I saw her hubby JR in front of the store chatting with another small business vendor & told me Tiffany was inside. We have supported this small business for over five years bc Tiffany told us how old her two girls are now 6 & 11. Where has time flown? Wifey wanted to try her newest ube flan macarons. Whoa these were delicious bites made from heaven. They were unique like none other. You can tell they were made with love. We were accustomed to Tiffany's usual macarons case but instead she had ready made 6 pack & 12 pack macaron boxes as well as hot cocoa bombs & leche flan dessert cups specific for the holiday season! Come support this small home business. You will thank me later. Follow Love and macarons on Instagram or on her website for her pop up information. TBH, the girl working on the counter was really abrasive and impatient with me. I walked up. She asked what she could get for me and I started to say that my mother was coming to town and I wanted to buy her something special and she turned around and started talking to someone else. Then when she turned back around, I asked her about the flavors in the box and then I asked her about the flavors and the other box that was for sale of their regular chocolates. She said that the regular chocolate box comes with a card. I'm like I don't see the card. What are the flavors in here? And then she picks up the box and then starts reading off the back and pointing to the case below to the different varieties. It wasn't what she was saying about how she was doing it, very quick jerky motion, and obviously irritated. I'm sorry, but I'm getting ready to buy a box of chocolates for almost $50 and there's nobody in line behind me. I've never been here before so I need a little help. That kind of place should have better service. Especially if they're going to act like that at the counter and then turn the little iPad around at the end of the transaction where it asks how much gratuity you want to leave. I left $2 which honestly was $2 too much. When we walked outside, my man asked if I thought my mom would like them and I said I hope so. Madeleine's Macarons is right across the street from RH Yountville. The interior is clean and minimal. They also offer a variety of sandwiches and crepes, in addition to drinks, gelatos, and the large pastry case of macarons. Service was friendly, but could be slow because it's just 1 person manning the whole shop. As noted before, Madeleine's offers your standard macaron flavors, in addition to some fun sweet flavors like Watermelon Tajin, as well as savory flavors. I honestly don't know why more spots aren't offering these savory versions, because they are AMAZING. In addition to my friend buying a pack of 6 elote macarons, I tried the: strawberry balsamic, thyme & feta with hazelnuts, apple gorgonzola & almond, watermelon tajin, passionfruit, and orange creamsicle. With the exception of the apple gorgonzola, all the flavors were perfectly balanced and delicious. I especially enjoyed the watermelon tajin and the thyme & feta. The elote was also amazing, and had a slight tang. I would have loved more apple in the apple gorgonzola, but it still had a wonderful texture. Of note, however, is that the matcha latte I got was a bit underwhelming. I added the pistachio rose syrup, but could barely taste it. It can be hard to stand out in Yountville among all the other bakeries, but Madeleine's offers something truly unique.
