I didn't realize this place was literally down the street from me. It was my first time there and their decor was so cute! I wanted to try everything there but I got a few of their macarons along with their strawberry matcha! Customer service was great! The ladies were friendly. Everything was 10/10! I went back two days later for more! lol
Tried mango sticky rice matcha,(not our favorite) Ube matcha, was REALLY good, would buy again, tried cream brule Boba tea, it was meh. Also, bought multiple macrons... and the only one I would buy again was the Ube marshmallow, the rest were a disappointment. Ultimately they do good with the UBE items but not the other items and drinks we bought.
So I went to this place on Monday May 11th around 3:45 p.m. . The place was pretty chill there were three other tables being occupied by customers. Even with that I would call the atmosphere very pleasant and calm. Two of those individuals were working on their laptops so definitely a place where individuals come to potentially do work or crank out a project they may be doing. I was really excited about coming on a day where they had a happy hour special and I definitely took full advantage of it. I got a classic milk tea and got the ube style macaron with it. I will say before I go into the food and drink itself, I was really happy with the person behind the register. She told me it was her very first day at the shop and I was asking these random questions and she was like I don't know but I can go find out for you and I'm like you know what don't worry about it I'm going to just try something at random and see how it goes and she get gold which made me go but it was the best case scenario based on us both not knowing the ins and outs of the menu. The macaron itself was superb. It was not overly sweet, the crunch of the bottom and top were perfect and it definitely melted in your mouth as you savor the taste. My milk tea again I'm a person that enjoys the taste of the tea and the black tea definitely came through which I was really happy about. The one thing that would have really made the tea extremely great for me would have been to be able to change the sweetness level. Again the person behind the register it was her first day so she wasn't sure how to do it so I got it as is but for me it was a little too sweet but again that is my preference. Overall I really enjoyed the space I definitely want to check out the other flavors of macaroons there and just chill out a little more often in this place.
We finally made it back into Rooftop. My oldest wanted to try the new matcha series. It was pretty crowded this time. We ordered the Banana Bread Vietnamese Coffee, Banana Bread Matcha and the new Earl Grey Matcha. My youngest wanted a MACamisu. As always, the drinks were amazing. The MACamisu was so good I stole half of it! Yum!
Cute!!! Spacious. Clean. Super friendly staff. And patient because this was my first time and the young lady was so helpful. We bought the black seed coffee and marble coffee. Both iced with non dairy cream options. They were very tasty. We also bought a dozen macarons. I brought them home but we sampled the samoas and the pistachio. Good size. Good quality. Flavorful. I definitely recommend this gem.
I purchased the lunar new years theme macarons box. I didn't open it until I was at a dinner party just to realize the left ear of the horse was broken. This box was not cheap and the fact that they still sold the broken macaron shows that they do not care about quality. I'm sure the owners know that this broken ear on the horse especially on lunar new years can symbolize negative or bad luck. So shame on them.
I like the mango pineapple refresher. It was delicious. The macarons weren't bad either. I came around 4pm and their available supply was low but I enjoyed what I had. The pistachio one was delicious.
I saw their Lunar New Year Macaron Set on Instagram and had to order. This was easily accomplished over the phone and paid via Venmo. Today, I picked them up and I've only had the Thai Tea so far and it was very good. I paid $70 total for two sets so they are a little spendy but I think it was totally worth it. As you will see in the pictures they are meticulously decorated and cute as ever. While I was waiting, I decided to order an banana bread matcha and it was delicious. You could taste the banana but it wasn't overwhelming with just enough sweetness. I was there when they first opened so there was ample parking in the lot. When you walked in, the space was very inviting with plenty of seating and just chill vibe. Well worth the try.
I've been here many times and I love this place. They have a new matcha menu now which I'm happy about. I tried their matcha latte, double matcha and banana matcha. Their drinks are so good. They have so many wide variety of drinks, macaroons, desserts and even gelato. They have plenty of tables and free wifi. I actually see a lot of students come here to study. The place is cozy and they get you the drinks pretty fast. However, their 16 oz is now $6.00 and their 20 oz is $7.90. So pricey for drinks!
We were in the area running errands and I had to stop in to grab a coffee. I love their toasted coconut drink and always order it when I stop in. There is a parking lot in the business plaza, but it can fill up during peak hours. The spots can be a bit tight too. The shop is open and welcoming and there are plenty of seats available if you'd like to hang out for a while and enjoy your treats there. They have a wide variety of drinks including coffee, teas, matcha, and so many flavor combinations. They also offer ice cream, macarons, macamisu (a tiramisu x macaron creation), and cheesecake options. You can also place custom orders if you have a special occasion. I'm always happy with my experience and treats when I stop in!

The staff were approachable and the wait time for my drink wasnt too long. The amount of drinks was surprising an i ended up getting the salted earl grey matcha latte which was so good i ordered a second and in a larger size. Granted i tasted more earl grey than the matcha but either way i got a second drink. I also got a nutella s'mores macaroon which was a pretty good size and the balance of flavors was on point and not too sweet. I ordered the s'mores, strawberry matcha, pistachio and ube marshmellow for my treat home. Next time im in the area ill try a different drink
I'm a sucker for anything banana! So to hear that this location has specialized in it, I had to try. I was hoping to order their banana cream pie matcha, but that was only available on a weekend. So I opted for their banana flavored coffee. To my surprise, it tasted like a real banana! Not the imitation banana you think of when trying banana items. I was so shocked and delighted because they have perfected this. I also ordered the macarons. Nice size and I believe for what it's worth, is worth it. Definitely will be back.

I didn't look at the menu to see if they offered oat milk, but I didn't ask and wasn't given the option. I can see why they recommend oat at most places as whole milk definitely has a flavor that overtakes the matcha. As I drank the drink, it started reminding me of cereal milk, so I felt like I could taste the sweetener more than anything else. I tried the mini cheesecakes which were pretty good, but I'm not sure how I feel about the matcha.

I've only been to Rooftop Macarons a few times, but their drinks have been amazing every time! My friend and I tried their: Toasted Coconut Latte 8/10 Creme Brulee Latte 9/10 Their coffee is definitely on the stronger side, but still so good! There's plenty of seating available, and I usually don't have trouble finding parking in the area, although the parking spaces can be a little tight. Such a great spot to catch up with friends, grab a coffee, and enjoy a sweet treat! read more

We had a terrible experience. We ordered five drinks: two with light ice and three with no ice. The no-ice drinks were intended for the next day. Unfortunately, we had the displeasure of being helped by Trish. She was noticeably rude to my sister from the start. The irritation and outright contempt she displayed were unlike anything we've experienced at this location. She even spoke negatively about our order to the coworker making the drinks while we were standing just a few feet away, which was incredibly unprofessional. When we received the no-ice drinks, we understood that ordering without ice might mean the cup wouldn't be completely full. However, the amount of the drink we were given was unacceptable. While the drinks are delicious and worth to us, they are $8.00! Thankfully, when we requested a refund, it was handled by a different employee who was kind, courteous, and professional. I want to end by saying that my sister was polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction. The way she was treated was completely uncalled for, and we left feeling very disappointed. We have been visiting this location for many years and have never had an experience like this before. read more

We finally made it back into Rooftop. My oldest wanted to try the new matcha series. It was pretty crowded this time. Another great experience!! you definitely have to try their happy hour menu Wednesday at 3 PM is the best time to go. You get a milk tea and your choice of a macaroon for six dollars! The service is always good and there's plenty of seating area if you'd like to hang out for a while! There are so many flavors of macaroons and I couldn't tell you a favorite. This is my favorite spot in the area for a quick pick-me-up. I usually go for the Biscoff and hazelnut coffee, and it's consistently really good--smooth, flavorful, and just the right level of sweetness without being overpowering. I also like that they offer daily specials, which keeps things interesting and gives you a chance to try something new each visit. Overall, it's a reliable go-to whenever I'm in the mood for a good coffee and something a little different from the usual options. read more
Cute cafe vibes upon entry greeted by a warm welcome from Ella the sweet employee behind the counter. Case on display of their Mac choices, Macmisu (Mac's and tiramisu) desserts and gelato selection. Menu looks great with so many options to choose from! Ordered a Matcha Banana Bread and Matcha Ube Cloud to taste- both so very delicious. You can tell they use quality matcha (ceremonial) and nugget ice. Will come back to try others guaranteed!! read more

Although I am not a big fan of macaroons, I saw the coffee menu at this spot on Yelp and wanted to check it out. I'm so happy I went because they have a large selection of coffee and teas. They even serve Gelato as a dessert alternative. I ordered the Banana Bread Latte and it was delicious. I have never had a BBL before and I've totally been missing out. The location has accessible parking and has a large seating area inside which is always nice. The staff was patient with us while we were reviewing the menu. read more

Popped in on Monday at 3pm. Parking was plenty, spacious inside. Interior decor was nice, music was good. Lots of seating. Plenty of menu items to choose from. I ordered a Latte Matcha and a pistachio macaron. Latte Matcha was nice and light. The pistachio macaron was good. I would visit again. read more
This is such a cute spot in a little crevice of South Sac / Elk Grove. Lots of indoor space to work, study, or just chill. I ordered the biscoff and banana bread lattes and they were so good. The matcha series is great too. Every time I order, I receive great service and the drinks come out super quick. I can't wait to go back and grab another! read more
So this place is advertised as a coffee shop as well but I didn't see really coffee items . So just a heads up if you are a real coffee drinker like me , then this isn't the place for you . They don't have cold brew or non sweet coffee. If you are into sweet Sugary coffee then you have reached the perfect place . I personally love my colder brew and bitter coffee so I was disappointed to not see these items on the menu. However I was in a hurry to get back to work so I asked the barista what's the strongest coffee they have and she recommended the marble coffee but I told her to go easy on the condensed milk and honestly the coffee was strong and rich . Won't be back because I don't like sugary coffee but shout out to the barista for saving the day . Vibes of this place was chill though . Clean and nicely decorated . Was not crowded and plenty of parking space outside . read more

Came in right as they opened and right off the bat was greeted by the kindest young lady. Can't remember her name but she gave some great recommendations and had superb customer service. I got the strawberry matcha for myself and I would say it was a solid 3 out of 5. It was a bit chalky and I didn't get much of the strawberry taste but the matcha was rich in flavor. The Vietnamese coffee was for my friends and I would go back and get one for myself after tasting. The coffee was brewed perfectly and it had a nice bold body to it. The macarons were so so good! They were absolutely perfect. The inside was very clean and spacious. I can see it being a good hang out spot. Would definitely come back and try again. read more
Honestly wondered if I missed something at Rooftop Macarons...... because I felt like this was a total waste of money.... I tried six macaroons and a tiramisu latte. The macaroons were sooooo stale that I was SHOCKED that they even sold these to customers. We ordered the tiramisu, churro, vanilla almond, espresso, samoas, vanilla, and one other. I tried one at the store and it was so hard that I could barely chew the macaroon. I thought maybe they were cold so I left them out for 2 hours to come to room temperature. The remaining macaroons were so stale that I couldn't even cut them with a knife. The tiramisu latte was good but filled almost entirely with ice. I would love to know if the make macaroons only once a week and there is a better day to go or how there are so many good Yelp reviews (this was why I wanted to try it). read more

Since I was in the area and have never tried this place, I decided to check it out. This spot has plenty of tables and chairs for people to hangout. I love the backdrop with the cute French macaron stools. I have been craving the strawberry matcha latte from Tule Coffee house and they happen to have something similar so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, I did not like the strawberry matcha latte. The matcha was gritty and they used a strawberry syrup instead of fresh strawberries. My friend got the egg coffee and I didn't try it so I can't provide a review on it, but she did tell me that it's strong. I may come back here again to try their coffee, but definitely not their matcha. read more
Months ago my wife and I visited an establishment in Downtown Sacramento with some friends and purchased some delicious macarons. My wife is not a fan of sweets, so it was a big deal that she loved the macarons. Following this experience, I made a note that I would purchase macarons for her next birthday. Fast forward to her birthday, I did a quick Yelp search and found Rooftop Macarons (with dang near perfect reviews) located a little over 10 minutes away from my home. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly employee behind the counter. Since I'm not a macaron connoisseur, I asked the employee about her personal favorite flavors. Based on her recommendations, I ordered 12 macarons consisting of the following flavors: Birthday Cake (3), Blueberry Cheesecake, Fruity Pebbles (2), Girl Scout (3), Raspberry, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla Bean. After paying, I waited for five minutes and another employee (who I assume may have been the owner), emerged from the backroom to present me with the 12 macarons in a cute box (I'm a sucker for presentation packaging). My wife's face lit up when she saw the macarons and she thoroughly enjoyed the flavors that I selected (of course my son and I made sure that she shared some of the goodness with us)... my personal favorites were "Birthday Cake" and "Girl Scout." As a tip - I suggest consuming these the day after purchase, for whatever reason they seemed to taste even better. If you have the desire to satisfy your sweet tooth, I highly recommend visiting Rooftop Macarons! read more

My first review of 2025 and what better way to start off the new year than to review one of the more popular desserts, macarons! These sweet and savory Parisian-styled French inspired cookies have become increasingly popular over the years. This is where I had the opportunity to check out one of the trendiest dessert places in the Sacramento area, "Rooftop Macarons". Believe it or not, this small business has actually been around since 2017 when they were exclusively doing online orders through Instagram. Over that entire 5-year span, this craze got so immensely popular, they decided on building an actual brick-and-mortar location that came to life in August 2022. Located in a small strip mall, their business is situated at the corner of Vintage Park Dr. and Elk Grove Florin Rd. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and weekends from 10am-5pm. Keep in mind that they still do mobile orders but having an actual location also enhances the whole experience. I came here with my lady during the afternoon of Saturday 12/28/2024 at around 4:00pm. Since there were quite a bit of businesses opened during this time (Chinese restaurant, tattoo shop, etc.), the parking lot was quite full. Upon entry to Rooftop Macarons and they too had quite a few people inside. As for the interior layout, it was very bright, cheerful, and spacious as there was an abundance of seating throughout. To the left are a lovely mural painting of macarons and to the right is the digital menu board of all food & drink items. Since we had some much later in the day, they had sold out on many of the macarons but still had a few excellent options. My lady went with their "Strawberry Cheesecake" while I tried their "Cookies & Cream". Prices for these were a very reasonable $3.50 + tax. Since we also wanted to enjoy a cold beverage to pair up with these, I went with their #1 seller, the "Rooftop Marble Coffee". This was Phin-filtered coffee complete with sweetened condensed milk & house milk. My lady went with their "Tiramisu Latte" which also used the Phin-filtered coffee but added a housemade tiramisu cream & cocoa powder. Our drinks were ready within 5 minutes. I want to point out that this place exclusively only makes iced drinks; and that is for all their coffees and teas. In addition, they have an impressive amount of milk teas, matcha, and a few fruity specialty drinks. My drink was delicious but it was loaded with way too much ice to a point where I was done in just a few sips (hence the reason for deducting a star). However, the macarons were on point and some of the best I've ever had. All in all, "Rooftop Macarons" is definitely a business worth checking out if you're in this part of Sacramento. The service is above average while the ambiance and atmosphere was above average. One final thing is that this place does not accept cash but they do take Apple Pay/Google Pay as well as major debit/credit cards. With that said and done, I am giving this place an above average four-star Yelp rating. Cheers to 2025! read more

Banana Bread matcha was great- pretty color! The lemon raspberry macaron was soooo stale. I let it sit at room temp for five mins like they suggest, but it was so hard and stale on one side, it was crazy. Lots of space to sit and very clean. I liked the playlist they had going :) read more

This was my second attempt at trying this shop. A few days ago, I stopped by around 5:26 PM, well before their 6 PM closing time. I went in hoping to order two specific drinks, but the staff told me they had already started cleaning and could no longer make them. Since there was still about 30 minutes left before closing, it felt a bit unreasonable to stop service that early. I was pretty disappointed, so my friend and I ended up leaving. I came back today to give it another try since I really wanted to try a specific drink. I finally ordered the Biscoff latte along with a cheesecake bite, which came out to $11. Unfortunately, the cheesecake was very dense and broke apart when I bit into it. I only had a couple of bites before tossing it--not really my favorite. As for the drink, it was extremely bitter--so strong that I couldn't get past a few sips. I ended up asking if they could dilute it, and thankfully, the staff member was kind enough to give me a cup of milk so I could adjust it myself without wasting the coffee. I really appreciated that gesture. She also explained that their coffee is Vietnamese-style, which makes sense. I've had Vietnamese coffee before and personally find it too strong for my taste, so ordering it without realizing that wasn't the best choice on my part. On a positive note, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it a nice place to sit while I tried to fix my drink. read more
I came in to try Rooftop Macarons for their $5 New Year's Day drink special and was glad I did. I asked for a matcha latte with a splash of pandan syrup and condensed milk. The staff was really helpful in answering questions and making adjustments since I can't drink anything too sweet. I was intrigued by the MACamisu since it was a mix of macaron shell & tiramisu. I ordered the ube flavor, which I could taste (none of that subdued flavor). The macaron shell was nice and crispy which added nice texture to the dessert. It wasn't too sweet so I ate it all in one go and didn't feel like I was sugar loaded. Parking is easy in a shared complex. It's in a residential area so pretty easy to navigate. There were plenty of seating indoors and didn't feel crowded. read more

Hi Emily! Our macarons are $24/dozen and our custom sets range from $30-$37/dozen. Prices may vary.
