Came for the oatmeal pie sandwich but stayed for the mud pie cookie. Will have to return for sandwiches.

    gluten free orange cardamom bread

Gluten free everything? And it tastes amazingly scrumpdilocious!? Unheard of!! My bff is gluten free and I always feel bad how she has to limit herself ordering at a restaurant. Not at Pushkin, everything off the menu is gluten free with no sacrifice on flavor or moistness. The orange cardomom bread was insanely moist, crumbly, decadent, you could taste the orange and the cardamom it was a perfect flavor profile. The chocolate cupcake was so light and fluffy, incredible! I also tried the new yorker sandwich and the gluten free bread held together well and the toppings were plentiful, lots of meat! I am so impressed with Pushkins that I almost think this is as close as you get to modern day sorcery! Even us non gluten free mortals will be delighted to eat this all the time because it's just so delicious! Highly highly recommend!

Lovely bakery here in Sacramento. My family and I were greeted with a warm welcome upon walking in and we were asked if it was our first time visiting and were given a little information about the restaurant. We were excited to know that all their items were gluten and dairy free! We ordered a whole assortment of things and practically everything was delicious! A lot of my family didn't really like the blueberry muffin but I personally thought it was alright! Some of my favorite things were the No Name, Oatmeal Pie (not pictured), and the Blueberry Cinnamon Coffee cake. Definitely a must try bakery especially if you're looking for gluten & dairy free goods.

I went in for a blueberry coffee cake and left out with a bacon BLT because it smelled so good . The service was excellent like usual and the small store front is perfect for orders to go. I'll be back!!!

Gluten & dairy free heaven! The breakfast sandwich I just inhaled was divine. Lots of spinach and the bread was so soft and warm. The staff is extremely friendly and warm. The spot is small but gets the job done! Clean facility.

We stopped at Pushkin's to grab ourselves some sweet treats. Parking was not ideal and we had to walk a few blocks, so be prepared for that. The cupcakes were delicious. I believe my favorite was a chocolate mint flavor and the other treats were nice as well. The cookies were a bit dry for me but otherwise it was quite enjoyable. I will definitely be back to try some more of their offerings soon.

Got recommended by a coworker. Totally gluten free place is NOT free from flavors. The turkey bacon sandwich was filling and fresh. The employee were "spot on" in their recommendations. I had a shady tree outside to enjoy the lunch. Bike friendly.

Opened as a result of Danny Turner's own Food-sensitivities Pushkin's Bakery has expanded from a single Chocolate Chip Cookie in 2013 to three locations, Olga Turner's taking on a growing need for better quality Pastries excluding wheat, gluten, and dairy. Sold in Sacramento, Arden, Roseville plus more than a dozen grocery stores it is at the original on 29th Street that guests will find friendly service plus fair prices covering Cookies, Cakes, Breads, Muffins and their famous "No Name" that eats like the buttery center of a Cinnamon Roll. Visited around 2pm Saturday, a good assortment of products still available, suffice it to say that Russian Tea Balls, essentially Mexican Wedding Cookies, lose nothing missing Flour while Crinkles and Mudpies are essentially the same save for a layer of Powdered Sugar. Smart to stick with items easily made Gluten-free, this writer admittedly harboring no allergies, Pushkin's Oatmeal Cream Pie Cookie fares beautifully with a lot of bright aromatics and flexibility around just enough filling.

First of all, the aroma of the bakery is tantalizing. Imagine a floating, drooling person making their way to the storefront, essentially. It's hard not to swing in every time you pass by. The no-names are one of the most interesting treats I've encountered. It's almost a hybrid of a cinnamon bun mochi bite, perfectly flavorful with such a unique texture, they're utterly addictive. I did add an egg to the sandwhich but was unfortunately forgotten, no biggie but definitely would've taken the breakfast sandwich to the next level. Will be back, of course, again & again & again &......

Obsessed with the mudpie cookie- ooey, gooey, chocolatey brownie goodness in a cookie! It's perfectly chewy and chocolately. Cute location to enjoy a gluten free pastry with a coffee from Temple next door. Can't wait to try the other pastries!

    The peppy is delish!

Okayyyy gluten free peeps I see you! Was craving a sandwich and needed one ASAP; luckily, my wonderful husband recommended Pushkin's! Now I was doubtful at first. I can do gluten free desserts, but was wary about the bread part of the sandwich. Pushkin's was so good though! I opted for the "Peppy" and it was just my cup of tea! Sweet from the fig jam, fresh from the veggies! If you like a sweeter sandwich, this is right up your alley. The bread is different than what I'm used to but it did not distract from the overall great and filling sandwich. Solid price point too. Would definitely recommend if you need a sandwich (especially if you're gluten free) and are in the area. Yum!

I got the green turkey sandwich which was really good. I also got the blueberry cinnamon coffee cake which was very moist and perfectly flakey. I would definitely recommend trying it. The cashier was so nice and helped me pick out what I wanted based on the different things I wanted. The ambiance has no indoor seating but there are tables outside.

    Zucchini loaf - yummy!

The display cases are filled with some of the most beautiful pastries and desserts you'll find anywhere, and the atmosphere always feels like a little escape from the day. Ironically, I had a dental appointment earlier today and have been dealing with some tooth sensitivity, so I wasn't able to enjoy any of the sweets this visit. Instead, I decided to try something savory for the first time and ordered the salmon tartine. It was absolutely delicious. Nothing overly complicated--just quality salmon, avocado, and incredible house-made sourdough bread--but everything worked perfectly together. Beyond the food, this is one of my favorite places to relax. I had a long wait before my car would be ready, and Estelle's was the perfect spot to settle in with some quiet time. Whether you want to read a book, get some work done, meet friends for brunch, or treat your kids to something special, it fits the occasion. The specialty drinks are excellent, the baked goods are consistently impressive, and the overall experience is always enjoyable. Five stars without hesitation.

However, this visit was disappointing because of my interaction with one of the employees. While I was looking at the menu, he came over to help, and I asked a few questions about the salads because I wasn't sure what each one included. Instead of feeling helped, I felt rushed and talked down to. His tone came across as impatient and dismissive, and it made me feel uncomfortable asking simple questions. Everyone is unfamiliar with a menu at some point, and I left that interaction feeling like my questions were an inconvenience rather than something he was happy to help with. The food, on the other hand, was great. The ciabatta sandwich is one of my favorites and is always a reason I come back. The matcha is usually amazing as well. I love how creamy and smooth it normally is with oat milk, and it's honestly one of the best matchas I've had. This time, though, it tasted much grassier and more bitter than usual, which was a little disappointing. For dessert, I tried the strawberry mousse dessert with a chocolate shell and strawberry filling. The mousse and strawberry filling were delicious, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The only part I didn't enjoy was the outer chocolate shell, which was a little too bitter for my taste and overpowered some of the other flavors. Overall, the food was still very good, but the service left a negative impression. I enjoy Estelle's and will likely return, but I hope future visits involve friendlier and more welcoming customer service.

I only intended on grabbing one but everything looked absolutely beautiful so I couldn't make up my mind. The cherry pastry was a stunner and delicious as well with great flavor and a nice balance of sweetness. My husband wanted the Estelle Noisette and although it was good, it was my least favorite of the three. It had pleasant nutty flavors but it was a little too rich for me. In the end, the real standout was the Blueberry Choux. The cream was light and fluffy and it had just the right amount of blueberry flavor. I really liked the texture of the pastry too and how it complimented the fluffy cream. I would definitely order that one again and highly recommend it. The pastries are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and presentation justify the cost. The interior of the shop was nice and definitely reminded me of patisseries in France. There was plenty of seating available inside but I took my order to go. I'm really glad I finally got to give them a try and while not every item was a home run for me, the Blueberry Choux alone made the visit worthwhile. There was a bit of a wait since there were some people ahead of us, so I'd recommend you going a bit earlier than your time just in case you're in a rush. We headed home to try everything. We really enjoyed the biscuits themselves as they didn't leave a dry or grainy feeling in your mouth. They had a good crust while being airy and light inside. The sandwiches were good, but they were anything crazy. Size wise it is small for the price you get, but I get it. It's all house made and fresh. I initially parked closer to their kitchen, not realizing there was a main building but they're right across from each other. They have a few self-ordering kiosks, which I guess they prefer customers to use. It kind of seemed like the staff member didn't want to take my order, even though it wasn't busy at all. Their bakery items and brunch menu are on the higher end price-wise, but I think that also aligns with the market and location, so it makes sense. Since it was my first time there, I only ordered a couple of items to try. FOOD REVIEW Morning Bun - 5/5: My kids loved this. It reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, but in pastry form. This was so good. Almond Croissant - 5/5: The croissant itself was airy, super flaky, and really good. My kids also enjoyed this one. The pastries were packaged nicely as well. Overall, the pastries were good, so the price felt worth it to me.

Faria's traditional croissant in 2025 was top notch and comparable to croissants in Paris, it was THAT good. Better than even Bay Area croissants. It was fluffy, buttery and flakey. With the right amount of butter ratio. But something changed this year. Now it's flat, quite dry, w/ lowered butter ratio, and higher sugar content. Like Faria decided to cut corners? Sorry, if this is wrong. But it's now a MID croissant, when it was damn near perfect. I tried it a few times this year, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. But obvious recipe change. What happened, FARIA?!?!?!?! When feedback was given under comments on their IG, they also blocked me. Weird. Why the defensiveness? Again this review is left w all due respect to what was a perfect croissant. No need to change a great product.

You will also get offers from time to time. The app is easy to use. I ordered the strawberry soft cream cake and a slice of blueberry chiffon cake. Both cakes were very good. They were both fresh, light, and Yummy. The cake came with a cake slicer and in the slicer were some matches. I thought that was very thoughtful and useful. They included some candles, too. Most of the time, I forget those things. It was a nice surprise, they included those things. Wonderful service! It's the thoughtful little things that make a business standout than all the rest. I've tried a variety of their pastries and desserts. They all pretty good. I really like their strawberry cream croissant. I think that one is my favorite. Every time I visit the store, it's clean and the staff are very nice.

Even though they were still open for several more hours, it looked like only about 25% of their usual offerings were available. The item we were most hoping for, garlic croissant, was sold out along with the custard and red bean breads. Part of that is on us for stopping by later in the day and not calling ahead, but I did expect a bit more restocking with so much time left before closing. That said, what we ended up choosing from the remaining selection was still quite tasty. I just wish there had been more variety available.
