I went in for a blueberry coffee cake and left out with a bacon BLT because it smelled so good . The service was excellent like usual and the small store front is perfect for orders to go. I'll be back!!!

Came for the oatmeal pie sandwich but stayed for the mud pie cookie. Will have to return for sandwiches.

I recently went to Pushkin's Bakery in Midtown and overall it was a great find. One thing that really stands out is that everything is gluten free and dairy free, which is pretty amazing considering the variety of pastries they offer. I ordered my birthday cake from them and the presentation was exactly as expected. It looked beautiful and festive. The only thing I noticed was that it seemed like there was a bit more frosting than cake, but it was still enjoyable. I also tried their lemon bar, which was honestly insanely delicious. Definitely one of the highlights. The No Names were also really yummy. Overall, if you like trying unique bakeries or just really good bakeries in general, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Service is 10/10

Lovely bakery here in Sacramento. My family and I were greeted with a warm welcome upon walking in and we were asked if it was our first time visiting and were given a little information about the restaurant. We were excited to know that all their items were gluten and dairy free! We ordered a whole assortment of things and practically everything was delicious! A lot of my family didn't really like the blueberry muffin but I personally thought it was alright! Some of my favorite things were the No Name, Oatmeal Pie (not pictured), and the Blueberry Cinnamon Coffee cake. Definitely a must try bakery especially if you're looking for gluten & dairy free goods.

Gluten free everything? And it tastes amazingly scrumpdilocious!? Unheard of!! My bff is gluten free and I always feel bad how she has to limit herself ordering at a restaurant. Not at Pushkin, everything off the menu is gluten free with no sacrifice on flavor or moistness. The orange cardomom bread was insanely moist, crumbly, decadent, you could taste the orange and the cardamom it was a perfect flavor profile. The chocolate cupcake was so light and fluffy, incredible! I also tried the new yorker sandwich and the gluten free bread held together well and the toppings were plentiful, lots of meat! I am so impressed with Pushkins that I almost think this is as close as you get to modern day sorcery! Even us non gluten free mortals will be delighted to eat this all the time because it's just so delicious! Highly highly recommend!

Wild amount of frosting on a cake. Inedible and unprofessional. Also had to call 3 times to confirm writing change on cake as they told me they would call back every time to confirm and never did. Will not be ordering again.

We stopped at Pushkin's to grab ourselves some sweet treats. Parking was not ideal and we had to walk a few blocks, so be prepared for that. The cupcakes were delicious. I believe my favorite was a chocolate mint flavor and the other treats were nice as well. The cookies were a bit dry for me but otherwise it was quite enjoyable. I will definitely be back to try some more of their offerings soon.

Gluten & dairy free heaven! The breakfast sandwich I just inhaled was divine. Lots of spinach and the bread was so soft and warm. The staff is extremely friendly and warm. The spot is small but gets the job done! Clean facility.

Opened as a result of Danny Turner's own Food-sensitivities Pushkin's Bakery has expanded from a single Chocolate Chip Cookie in 2013 to three locations, Olga Turner's taking on a growing need for better quality Pastries excluding wheat, gluten, and dairy. Sold in Sacramento, Arden, Roseville plus more than a dozen grocery stores it is at the original on 29th Street that guests will find friendly service plus fair prices covering Cookies, Cakes, Breads, Muffins and their famous "No Name" that eats like the buttery center of a Cinnamon Roll. Visited around 2pm Saturday, a good assortment of products still available, suffice it to say that Russian Tea Balls, essentially Mexican Wedding Cookies, lose nothing missing Flour while Crinkles and Mudpies are essentially the same save for a layer of Powdered Sugar. Smart to stick with items easily made Gluten-free, this writer admittedly harboring no allergies, Pushkin's Oatmeal Cream Pie Cookie fares beautifully with a lot of bright aromatics and flexibility around just enough filling.

Obsessed with the mudpie cookie- ooey, gooey, chocolatey brownie goodness in a cookie! It's perfectly chewy and chocolately. Cute location to enjoy a gluten free pastry with a coffee from Temple next door. Can't wait to try the other pastries!

First of all, the aroma of the bakery is tantalizing. Imagine a floating, drooling person making their way to the storefront, essentially. It's hard not to swing in every time you pass by. The no-names are one of the most interesting treats I've encountered. It's almost a hybrid of a cinnamon bun mochi bite, perfectly flavorful with such a unique texture, they're utterly addictive. I did add an egg to the sandwhich but was unfortunately forgotten, no biggie but definitely would've taken the breakfast sandwich to the next level. Will be back, of course, again & again & again &......

Got recommended by a coworker. Totally gluten free place is NOT free from flavors. The turkey bacon sandwich was filling and fresh. The employee were "spot on" in their recommendations. I had a shady tree outside to enjoy the lunch. Bike friendly.

Walking in, the line was short but the staff took a really long time servicing people. Since it's a 2hr drive from SF to Sac, you know I'm about to bulk buy. The case had a good selection but quite a few were sold out already. Everything looks really delicious but I had to control myself. Almond Croissant $7.50 - I don't remember what this tasted like so it must've been standard. Matcha Croissant $9 - Don't let the price deter you because for $9, you get a big filling croissant and it was honestly so delicious. The dipped part was like a white chocolate matcha and the inside matcha filling was so good. I don't know how but I fridged it and ate it the next day, IT WAS STILL CRISPY! This was the highlight and highly recommend getting it. Blueberry Choux $11 - This was also really good too. The blueberry filling was creamy and delicious. It tasted really fresh. Macarons $2.95 each - Standard stuff. I got a Thai coconut cream and this is a flavor I haven't seen before and recommend trying it! In summary, highly recommend trying this place. The macaroons are light and airy. I like mine with a bit of a bite, but that's just me. The flavor is nice, but on the sweeter side. As for the soft serve, it is also on the sweeter side. It comes with a macaroon wafer. They moved away from the mini macaroons. I am not a big fan for the macaroon wafer, mainly because it gets stuck to my teeth. Otherwise, it is soft serve. But I was told that they make the soft serve from scratch, not the premade mixture. This is just not my cup of tea.

The iced vanilla lattes were really good. The pastries were the highlight. The almond pain au chocolat was perfectly flaky, and the filling was absolutely delicious. The very berry pastry was my favorite. The cream was light, fresh, and had just the right amount of sweetness, and the fruit on top tasted fresh and sweet. The hash brown bread with ham and cheese was very dense and filling, making it a great savory option. I loved the self-serve pastry setup and appreciated how large the bakery selection was. While some items looked a little fresher than others, there was still plenty to choose from, and everything we picked was delicious. The bakery itself was very clean with plenty of comfortable seating, and I noticed they even offer WiFi, making it a nice place to work, catch up with someone, or just enjoy a coffee. It was fairly busy and a little noisy, but there were still plenty of open seats. Parking was also easy thanks to the large parking lot. The only downside was the service. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they also weren't especially welcoming. I also had trouble hearing the employee calling out completed drinks, so I ended up waiting around 10 minutes. It's possible our coffees were ready sooner, but I didn't want to crowd the pickup area. I called the store afterward to ask what their standard procedure for toasting items is. The employee I spoke with told me that it "just depends on the worker and how they toast it." The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. There was a bit of a wait since there were some people ahead of us, so I'd recommend you going a bit earlier than your time just in case you're in a rush. We headed home to try everything. We really enjoyed the biscuits themselves as they didn't leave a dry or grainy feeling in your mouth. They had a good crust while being airy and light inside. The sandwiches were good, but they were anything crazy. Size wise it is small for the price you get, but I get it. It's all house made and fresh. We definitely think the biscuits themselves are the standout. The blueberry and brown sugar biscuits were a sweet tooth's heaven. The breads are always fresh and delicious. My favorite is the choco cookie bun. I think that's what it's called lol but it's with the crushed cookie crust on top. This shop is on the smaller side, so it can get a little crowded during busy hours. There's a small seating area if you want to enjoy your pastries and drinks inside. They offer a great variety of pastries, desserts, and beverages. My go-to items are the milk pudding bun and the ham and cheese bun. The milk pudding bun is soft, lightly sweet, and filled with a smooth, creamy custard. The ham and cheese bun is always a satisfying choice for a quick and easy lunch. I don't have a favorite drink since I usually order whatever I'm in the mood for, whether it's one of their coffee drinks or an iced tea. Their strawberry cake is one of their most popular desserts and is a great option for birthdays or other celebrations. The cake is light and fluffy, topped with fresh strawberries, and the frosting is perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The customer service is always friendly and efficient. If an item isn't displayed, the staff is happy to check in the back to see if they have more available, which I always appreciate.
