I've been wanting to try Rang for a while, and I finally got the chance! One thing I don't like is that they close early lol. When I arrived, the line was already to the door, and not long after, it stretched outside. They have two kiosks, but only one was available to order from while I was there. To help move the line along faster, I think they should have a menu posted somewhere. That way, people can decide what they want ahead of time instead of waiting until they reach the kiosk to look through the menu. I would say the wait to place my order was actually longer than the wait for my drink. They also had a few people constantly hand-mixing the matcha, which was nice to see. I ordered the Cookie Butter Matcha with oat milk. My first sip was pretty strong on the matcha, but after mixing the drink, it was so delicious! It was smooth, creamy, and not too sweet, which I really enjoyed. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and trying a different drink. The shop itself is spacious and bright inside. There's plenty of seating, making it a good spot to catch up with friends or even study.

The decor inside is like half library chic and half rich intellectual couple home vibe lol. It's nice. Order by kiosk and you get to watch the matcha getting hand whisked right at the counter. Poor things probably have sore arms by end of shift. Literally one after another. My wife wanted the banana matcha and I tried it. I'm not a matcha fan but it had a nice flavor and I can see why people like it. Smooth and creamy texture and the matcha wasn't too much for me. I can see why my wife wanted to try this place. Wish they had a menu up so we can see before getting to the kiosk to order. I felt like I was holding people up looking through the menu. So for first timers I noticed took a bit longer to make their orders since they took time to peruse the menu since there was no menus up front to decide before we got to the ordering kiosk.
Came here on a Saturday morning around 1030 and there were around 15 people in line as well as the whole cafe being full. There was only one kiosk to order, but the line moved quickly. They weren't doing coffee yet, so we were only able to order matcha drinks. Waited about 10 minutes for our drink. Matcha was good quality, and the strawberry puree and matcha paired well with the creamy oat milk. Prices were average. It's probably the best Matcha I've tried in the Elk Grove area. Would go again if we're in the area!
Rang finally has a permanent home in Sacramento! Before opening this brick-and-mortar location, Rang built a pretty massive cult following as a roaming pop-up inside Rose Tea boba lounge. They source their 100% organic, ceremonial-grade green tea directly from local farms in Kyoto, Japan. They're especially known for turning popular Asian desserts into drinkable treats. Some of their viral drinks include Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, Cookie Butter Coffee, and Sweet Potato Matcha topped with torched foam. One thing I love: no extra charge for oat milk! My recommendations: *Mango Sticky Rice Matcha *Guava Matcha Einspanner *Double Matcha Expect a long line during the soft opening, but it moves pretty quickly. Current soft-opening hours are 8am-4pm. Parking: Plenty of free parking in the complex. Ordering: Order on the screen, enter your phone number, and you'll get a notification when your drink is ready for pickup at the counter. There's indoor seating only. I noticed quite a few people studying or working with laptops/iPads and headphones, while others were hanging out and socializing on the other side. So it has a nice mix of work and chill vibes. Definitely worth checking out if you're a matcha fan!
This is their new location! I love the interior and how spacious everything feels. I tried their earl gray matcha and thought it was really good! I also like how this location feels a lot less overstimulating compared to their Rose Tea location, making it a nice spot to sit, relax, and enjoy your drink.
I love the interior of the place. A lot of people were taking pictures. I came once in the morning, and before closing. I prefer the morning because it really is a cafe with calm quiet vibes. I ordered the matcha einspanner and earl grey matcha. Both solid options. My friend said the einspanner tasted like ice cream, which is why I like it. They were also good with calling out orders! Don't miss out on this spot.
I am so happy that Rang finally opened their standalone location (I don't have to drive all the way to the pop-up at Rose Tea in Elk Grove anymore!) They hand whisk every matcha drink (with ceremonial matcha - I'm talking SHREK GREEN), and their matcha drinks are consistently delicious. I get my drinks 75% sweet -- a sweet treat but you can still taste a slight hint of bitterness from the matcha. Oat milk blends perfectly with the drink (and FINALLY, a place besides Pachamama where oat milk doesn't cost extra! Woo hoo). My favorite drinks so far are: - Mango Sticky Rice - unique mango salty sweet experience. It doesn't have rice in it, but the flavor profile mimics the dessert with the added deliciousness of high quality matcha. - Ube Coconut Matcha - more ube than coconut. The ube flavor shines in the purple foam that is not too sweet or heavy. It's topped with generous coconut flakes. Order at the large iPad in front. They have been super busy since their soft opening, and their quality and unique drinks are why! Very modern furniture aesthetic. It's a bit too busy for getting work done. The vibes are more for catching up with friends or hanging out with the fam, since it can get pretty loud and crowded.
Super cute matcha/coffee cafe in South Sacramento. A bit of roundabout driving to get here, this place is tucked away in the shopping center across from Cosumnes River College. The vibes are amazing. Higher ceilings with recessed lighting. And a whole wall bookshelf giving modern and minimalist. They also have some counted and smaller tables with comfortable chairs. I ordered the Guava Matcha Einspanner and it was very good. Balanced flavor and I was able to adjust the sweetness. I would recommend shaking or mixing the drink before drinking. The staff were pretty hands off since there was an ordering terminal but they seemed to be very efficient at pushing out drinks quickly.
I ordered the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha and my cousin ordered the Mango Matcha Latte from their self-order kiosk (you don't interact with the staff much unless you have a question or are picking up your drink). We both wished the matcha taste was stronger but the mango puree in both our drinks were really refreshing and did not have an artificial taste to it at all. I also appreciate the fact that they hand-whisk all their drinks!! The cafe had tons of seating and tables. I really love the design and aesthetic of the interior! So happy to see Rang have a physical location now!
YUM! What a pleasant surprise to find it crowded on a Monday mid morning, but worth the short wait. We got the mango sticky rice matcha, 0% sugar and oatmilk, it was the perfect balance of sweetness as the crème and mango was plenty sweet. Also got the ube matcha and as others mentioned the ube flavor was prominent which was refreshing, also 0% sugar, oatmilk. For that, I would've suggested 25% sweet. The ambiance was lively with many students studying. Would recommend and return.
Guava Matcha Einspanner is my favorite! They recommend oatmilk but I prefer whole milk, the fattiness helps bring the drink together better. Sweet Potato Matcha is so unique! I enjoyed the raw cane sugar on top. Least favorite so far is the Mango Sticky Rice, just because I think the Mango puree that day tasted a little too "old Mango" for me, too dark a flavor. But since they use real fruit (which we love) this may fluctuate :)
Update 9/25/26: Finally got to visit their new permanent location that just opened. We showed up on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy as expected. There was a line outside the door. I would say we waited about 35-40 mins. The place is spacious and has a very modern with neutral earth tones to the place. There was a lot of people hanging out and studying there. There was a lot of seating. I realized that you order from the kiosk. It looked like only one kiosk was working because the other one was not. That's what is making the line move slow. We finally got to order and we got the Triple Matcha with matcha jelly and the Pandan Matcha. Getting the actual drink took about 5-10 mins. I saw there were about 8 workers behind the counter because they are literally hand whisking the matcha. I would say they were pretty efficient producing the drinks quickly. My boyfriend thought the quality of the matcha was really good. He's not a big fan of matcha but when he does drink he says the best one is Airoma but he actually believes Rang is just as good. The flavor is so rich and especially the Triple Matcha was very premium with the nice touch of the matcha jelly. I definitely want to come back and try their other drinks. Only knocked one star because of the long line and only have one kiosk working.
Finally got to try Rang Coffeehouse! Been wanting to try it for the longest ever since I seen their pop up inside Rose Tea Lounge. As I am a Matcha girly lol. They are one of the best places to get quality Matcha! Not many places can compare! Plus the drinks are so aesthetically pleasing (: Will definitely be my go to places for Matcha now!
The interior design of this new permanent location is freaking beautiful. It makes me want to come here everyday. The seats are comfy and the vibes are chill. It's the perfect place to yap with friends, study, or to do some work on your laptop. They now have coffee drinks too and so many fun unique flavors. Trying to go to Rang at their new location has not been a successful endeavor for me, since I haven't had the desire to stand in a line out the door. I went a couple times and just continued on with my day since I couldn't carve out a large chuck of my time just to wait for a drink. Luckily for me, my mom went on a day/time when the line wasn't too crazy and got me a drink from their new location. I had the Jasmine Matcha. I feel like there aren't too many places that can match Rang's quality. A lot of places try to do things on the cheap and use a bunch of sugary syrups, but that isn't Rang. Highly recommend any of their drinks with matcha. Note: Right now they still have their pop up at Rose Tea on Wednesday-Sunday from 8am-3pm; I like to go there to get drinks from Rang too, since the wait at the pop up location isn't nearly as crazy as it is at the new spot. read more
Parking can be packed but the lot is shared and big. I came here on 2 separate occasions, both midweek, and on different times. Both occasions the line was out the door. The ordering is kiosk style and if its your first time, i can see how customizing your drink order would take a few minutes. Only 1 kiosk was working tho, kind of wild considering its the only way to order. A lot of employees but didnt get any greeting and drinks took maybe 10 minutes to come out. Order: Banana Matcha - The banana top mixed well with the matcha but I wasnt a fan of the toffee and nuts mixed in. Halfway through the drink it overwhelmed every sip to where I was chewing instead of drinking. Cookie Butter Latte: Also good but wouldn't order again. Maybe it needs more Coffee flavor. Coconut Cane Sugar: Im not a coconut water fan so not sure how this compares but it is very refreshing and light. If I come back I would look more into their juice type drinks. The space itself is so nice and clean! I love the chairs and couches. Everything is spaced out pretty well so I didnt feel claustrophobic or like I was competing for space with a long line. If youre going here to work or study you should arrive early. I could tell spaces fill up quick. Not sure how the outlet situation is tho, seems like they weren't a lot considering how big the space is but you might get lucky. read more

Rang's matchas are my current hyperfixation! I genuinely cannot recommend their drinks enough. Definitely check Rang Coffeehouse's IG for their daily menu, as availability for certain drinks can vary. I tried their mango sticky rice matcha latte on my first visit and was HOOKED. Every flavor component shined through without overshadowing others. In other iterations of this drink from locations around the Bay Area, I've found that the mango flavor gets easily lost, which was impressively not the case here! I also love the guava matcha einspanner; having both guava puree and foam really made the flavor pop. Had a few sips of the ube and pandan matchas as well, both of which were super flavorful. The matcha itself is smooth and strong. They hand-whisk their ceremonial grade matcha and their toppings/foams are made in-house, all of which contribute to the high quality of their drinks. Plus, no up-charge for oat milk, which always gets brownie points from me. Ordering through the kiosk was a breeze and we didn't have to wait long for our order. I'd note that some menu items tend to sell out (they were sold out of the guava matcha einspanner by around 5pm the first time I visited) and I tried calling ahead to check availability with no answer, so I'd come earlier in the day just to be sure you can get the drink you want. read more
Ive been to Rang a couple times now and its been a hit and miss but my drink this time was sooo so good. I got the jasmine matcha cream top and the flavors of both combined perfectly! My friends got the banana matcha which was okay as im personally not a big fan of banana in general but did like the toffee bits inside. Would definitely come back for the jasmine matcha!! read more

I already tried their pop-up at Elk Grove a couple times and the drink I liked the most was their Mango Sticky Rice since their matcha really paired well with their fruity flavors but I didn't like their Double Hojicha due to the drink being too grainy for me. The Ube Matcha is also a very solid choice and I enjoyed that one as well. Their Double Matcha is also very good. So I decided to stop by when they recently opened their location near CRC and got the Guava Einspanner and the Strawberry Matcha Latte. Guava Einspanner (Oat Milk w/ 50% Sweet) - 8.6/10 I haven't got this drink before so I decided to try it today and I like that the guava foam has a very nice sweet and tart flavor without it tasting too artificial. Also, the guava jam/syrup didn't taste too sweet. However, after I mixed it I didn't like that the guava overpowered the matcha since that's what I could mainly taste. When I tried the matcha by itself, it has a nice and balanced flavor without it being too astringent. But I must say that this drink does look really pretty though. Strawberry Matcha Latte (Oat Milk w/ 25% Sweet) - 8.8/10 I like the fact that you can taste more of the matcha since it doesn't have foam on it and the strawberry has a jammy texture which tasted really good. The matcha is more pronounced and I like that it's a simple yet a refreshing drink. But I have to admit that this drink wasn't too mind-blowing. Overall, there was only one kiosk that was working hence is why the line was pretty long but at least it's easier for you to know what's on the menu. Also, I like that you can see the workers making the drinks right in front of you which was pretty cool and the lady who packed my drinks was nice. I like that this place is a lot more spacious and there's plenty of seating for hanging out or working on something compared to the Rose Tea location. So I would stop by again to try the other drinks that they offer but I may lower the sweetness to really taste the matcha. read more

Ok I rlly do like Rang, but theyve been a bit inconsistent lately imo. Their drinks are very delicious and you can really taste the quality, but lately ive noticed that theyve been putting way too much cream topping in their drinks. Each time I've ordered a drink with a cream top, it seems as if the coffee is getting less and less... rang pls fix this!! For context, I had asked my brother to help me order an egg coffee earlier today, and when he came back I genuinely was like wtf is this. There's basically more cream than coffee!!! In the other pic (ordered at a diff date) you can see an ube coffee, and the ratio is a bit better but the drink is still half ube cream. Again I still rlly like Rang, their matcha drinks are solid, but I'll def need to come back again to see if the coffee drinks are fixed. Review to be updated! read more

I drove by the other day and the line was outside the building and too long. Today, I looked and there was no line- so I pulled in. WOW! Everyone was inside- it was packed. The wait wasn't as long as I thought- they were whipping the drinks out! I think I was in there for about 10 minutes with my wait to order being more of time spent inside. I did notice that there were two kiosks but only one was working. Everyone was pleasant and the place was nice. Ample space to be across from the college. I'd go back again. My only wish is that they had a large menu on an A frame, a QR code or somewhere you could know what you'd like before you get to the one kiosk. I feel like it would make it go faster for everyone. FINALLY got to try their pop-up at Rose Tea Lounge in Elk Grove. I've been eyeing posts of their drinks on IG for months. Specifically, I've had my eye on their Cookie Butter Matcha and Earl Grey Matcha. For this visit I decided to go with the Cookie Butter Matcha. I liked the cream they put on top and you can definitely taste the cookie butter flavor as well as the Biscoff cookie crumbles. It was a good balance between the cookie butter flavor and the matcha although I tasted the cookie butter a little more than the matcha. Overall, I LOVED it and excited for their actual Rang Coffee storefront to open soon also in Elk Grove so they can have their own place! The Earl Grey Matcha is definitely the next drink for me to taste next. read more

The Guava Matcha Einspanner is top notch! Mango Sticky Rice Matcha is another top order. Strawberry Einspanner Matcha is a hit or miss - there were a few times when the strawberries did not taste fresh. Sweet Potato Matcha Latte did not taste like sweet potato, it tasted more like a regular matcha latte with creme brûlée. Matcha drinks are around $7.75 each, which seems to be the current standard pricing in California. They have two self service kiosks, which only takes card payment. Yay to there being an option for 30% sweetness level. Rang Coffee is currently hosting pop ups inside The Rose Lounge, which has a dark floral aesthetic. There are plenty of seats and tables. However, the music is really loud, so it's not really ideal for working/studying. It was difficult for our group to hear each other over the loud music. Too bad Rang Coffee's Popup is not open daily and has very limited hours. Hopefully, Rang Coffee opens their own location soon and has daily operating hours. read more

So glad Rang finally has their own shop! Rang Coffee House has to be one of my favorite spots when it comes to matcha. My go-to is the pandan matcha with oat milk--it's so good! I also love the modern, clean design of the space, with plenty of seating to hang out and enjoy your drink. Definitely a new favorite spot! read more

This is a really cute spot and modern. Matcha does have a good flavor to it too. My only suggestion is that they should get more than 1 monitor to place orders which may help with the long line read more
Parking: Small lot with very limited spots. super busy area with a packed plaza Interior: inside rose tea lounge which has a large space for bigger groups. it usually is very busy which a lot of the seating taken. limited outlets but still a good study spot. Wait Time: 30-45min to order when they had BOGO and 10-20min for the drinks. Overall: 3.5/5 Came to Rang Coffee at one of their pop-ups in another location. Service was nice and overall pricing on their drinks were average. Drinks: - Vietnamese Coffee: strong and bitter, but coffee felt thin (became watered down quickly) - Matcha Einspanner: creamy and sweet, but tastes more milky than matcha. Finally opened and here we are. As a coffeehouse, we came for a morning refresher and wake me up. From the glowing ceiling lights to the nature-esque ground level decor, it was like walking into an oasis and you can't spell "oasis" without WATER!! great matcha and menu! there's so many options on the menu for matcha flavors and some seasonally rotate. matcha is strong and great flavor pairings. got the mango sticky rice matcha & guava matcha (would get less sweet next time vs full). place is a very nice lounge to hang out in. service was nice. read more
Finally tried Rang Coffee since there's been so much hype around it, and as someone who loves matcha, I was really excited to give it a shot. I ended up getting the pandan matcha with whole milk, and unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The flavor leaned pretty artificial, and it was a lot sweeter and thicker than I expected, which threw me off. I was hoping for something more balanced and matcha-forward, but it didn't quite hit. For the price, I wouldn't come back specifically for the matcha. I'd honestly rather grab a boba drink instead, especially since it's located inside Rose Tea Lounge, which makes it easy to go that route. Really wanted to love this one, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. read more
Absolutely blown away by the matcha here. I stopped by on a whim because of the raving reviews and was not disappointed. As soon as you walk up to the counter, you can see the staff measuring out matcha and hojicha into separate bowls--something you don't usually see at other matcha cafes, and a great sign of quality. They offer a great variety of drinks. We grabbed the Biscoff Matcha (25% sweetness) and Persimmon Matcha (50% sweetness). I took a sip of the matcha before mixing, and it was incredibly creamy and smooth with a light grassy flavor and very little astringency. You can immediately tell they use fresh fruit for the persimmon--nothing artificial at all. The Biscoff Matcha was also absolutely delicious, and 25% sweetness was perfect for me. I'm a matcha lover who makes matcha almost daily at home, and I usually don't like spending money on something I can make better myself (especially for $8+). This is the first matcha spot I've tried where I genuinely want to come back and try everything on the menu. Parking: Located in decent sized lot at the Rose Tea Lounge location. The hype is real! At the rose tea lounge location, it's rang coffee a few days out of the week. Socials were going crazy about Rang coffee and we finally were able to catch them when they were open. The line was all the way to the door when we entered. Quick to order, it's via kiosk. Although the staff isn't too far away if you have any questions. We ordered a few flavored matchas like their mango sticky rice, biscoff, banana, ube and pandan. I think out of all my favorite is their banana flavor. I love it when places are able to capture the real banana flavor. The other flavors were good too. read more
