Lovely Vietnamese cafe! We ordered an egg coffee and banana matcha, both good. The interior and seating are cute with a few options to sit. The design is old fashioned yet modern with a digital ordering interface. While the banana matcha was not my taste, the egg coffee was great! The coffee was strong yet good with a pandan waffle side! I anticipated staying up all night and did. This is for those who drink espresso or ca phe sua regularly. The tasty waffle helped balance the caffeine a little. The bathroom is cute and decorated with so much aesthetic, but the downside is no toilet seat covers.
Delicious Vietnamese coffee spot!! It's currently my favorite in Sac! Egg coffee is spot on! Taro coffee is also strong in coffee flavor with fresh taro inclusions. They also have food that's made ready to go or to order. Great service! Was greeted and they also brought us our drinks. The ambiance is very cute, quaint and cozy! We will definitely be back!
I stopped in while I was in the area and was excited that there's plenty of parking in the plaza lot. It made it easy to stop in. When I walked in I was greeted and the team member at the counter took my order and gave some suggestions when I asked. I ended up ordering an egg coffee ($8) and coconut coffee ($8) along with one of their pandan waffles ($6). The inside of the restaurant is a lot bigger than I expected and it can accomodate a good amount of people in small groups. Definitely a nice place to dine in and hang out for a while with friends. There is an ordering kiosk, but while I was there the employee at the checkout was greeting everyone and having them order with him vs the kiosk. It's nice to have the human touch and be able to ask questions. The drinks didn't take too long to come out and the panda waffle was ready shortly afterward and was steaming hot and smelled great. I took them to go, but next time I'll have to hang out for a while. Both drinks were great, the coconut coffee was a blended drink and is definitely more of a treat, but had great coffee flavor. The egg coffee was also delicious and nice and strong. The pandan waffle was light and fluffy with a nice sweet pandan flavor, but not overly sweet. Overall I loved each item I ordered and would get them again. I'm excited to return to explore more of their menu.
Amazing Vietnamese coffee! My husband and I shared the white coffee to try because usually it's strong. But this is perfect! Not too sweet but also not too much coffee for our poor hearts The service is amazing, he recommended our coffee! We walked in on our way to order on the kiosk but he was so inviting we decided against the kiosk. The interior is even better too. They have a feel of an outdoor space without actually being outside. Decorations that best represents the culture which I love!
To those that follow me already know that I have a huge infatuation for independently owned-and-operated coffee shops. This takes me on a journey to South Sacramento where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ca Phe Phin". Located in a small strip mall, their location is directly on Stockton Blvd and in between Florin Rd/Gerber Rd while being just a few blocks east of Highway 99. Additionally, there are a few other amazing small businesses here including "Las Palmas Pupuseria", "China Express", and other notable places. Ever since debuting back in the fall of 2024, Ca Phe Phin has gained a very respectable amount of positive Yelp reviews. And since they specialize in Vietnamese coffees/espresso drinks, matcha, milk tea, and refreshers, I just had to try this place out for myself. The parking can get quite full on any given day but during my visit (which was during the afternoon on Saturday 2/28/2026 at around 4:30pm), it wasn't too busy during this time. They do have generous hours of operation being open weekdays from 7am-6pm and weekends from 7am-7pm. As soon as I stepped in, I was very impressed with how well put together the layout was. The ambiance was very inviting, rustic, vintage, and modern all in one. Here you will witness beautiful leather chairs with a large wooden tube-TV that looked eerily similar to when I was a small child in the early-1980's. The wooden shelving with plants, the brick wall that flows alongside most of the interior, and amount of throwback items really tells me how much emphasis was done in making this place stand out from the rest. Their menu is quite impressive with a huge selection of coffees to choose to your liking. This includes everything including your basic lattes but also unique offerings such as taro, durian, coconut, and one of the coffees that the young man recommend, "Egg Coffee". Since I opted for an ice version, this gave me the extra added caffeine boost that I needed. My lady went with their "Strawberry Matcha Latte" which had all the great elements to make it amazing; strawberry (on the bottom), sweet cream (in the middle), and matcha (on top). After finding a cozy little area to sit inside, our drinks came out in less than five minutes. I will say for someone that has never flirted with Egg Coffee, I was blown away with how delicious this was! Think of topping being a sweet cream egg souffle texture that has hints of egg nog, but without the nutmeg. This was so delicious to a point where I wish I lived closer just to enjoy how delicious this was. My lady also loved her drink; she stated that she is not much of a matcha fan but the strawberry flavor helped disguise it and she also loved her drink. I will say that "Ca Phe Phin" is as good as it gets, at least from my first hand experience. With stellar customer service, a great environment, and delicious drinks, this place earns an easy five-star rating from me.
Cool dining area with many nostalgic items from Vietnam. I got the Saigon Special iced coffee, it was delicious. She got the Mango Cloud, it didn't taste of mango at all. Wouldn't get it again. When we're served out drinks, they had a large gap at the top. After we left we figured out that the gap was for shaking up our drinks, stupid us. Would we be back? There's many other southeastern coffee shops close by with better drinks and service.
I was in "little Saigon" along Stockton Boulevard, and I had just gotten back from Vietnam. So, I needed to get my Vietnamese coffee fix. This is the place that came up, and I was not disappointed. I've fallen in love with Vietnamese coffee. It's made with "Robusto" beans, and so it has more of a bold rich flavor than your average espresso beans, which are usually a mix of arabica and Robusto. This shop is a little bit off the main business area of Stockton Boulevard, about a block and a half south of Florin Road in a small shopping center. I pull in, and it's just a nice little café. I decided to go with a coffee that I fell in love with over there, the egg coffee. It's Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk, and an egg yolk. As weird as it sounds, it is amazing. The egg yolk gives the coffee, a rich creamy flavor that blends so well with the flavors of the coffee and the condensed milk. It's almost like a "liquid tiramisu." I get my coffee, and oh my... It took me right back to Vietnam. The coffee had a good kick to it, and the condensed milk and the egg just made it so sweet, rich, and creamy. The coffee kept it from being overly rich. It was nothing short of amazing. The coffee was eight bucks, plus tax and tip. It sounds like it's on the higher end, but not really. You're going to pay close to that at Starbucks, for far inferior coffee. This place was amazing, and I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Tea was too sweet for my liking but it was bursting with flavor. if you add water it hits on those hot summer days. Cafe is cute. In a sketch area but sometimes those are the spots that are hidden gems. Has a nice little seating area for studying or just hanging out with a friend. Check them out.
Great spot for Viet coffee, matcha and milk tea! The place is nicely decorated with a vintage vibe, and so many red decorations during Lunar new year. We ordered: - egg coffee- the egg cream on top was pretty thick and perfectly sweetened. The coffee itself was pretty strong and had that distinct Viet coffee flavor you get from using a phin. - durian coffee- first time I've seen this flavor for coffee so I had to try it. If you like durian, this is the drink to get! Durian flavor didn't overpower the coffee and balanced out well. The cream is nice and thick, with some durian bits on top. Overall, great spot for viet coffee using phin filter. I would come back to try the sea salt and taro coffee if I'm in the area. Def recommend!
We got 2 jasmine milk teas and I got an egg coffee and added banana cream. I'm pretty sure banana cream on your egg coffee can change your entire life. I swear I heard the Beatles when I took my first sip. Can't wait to come back. The cafe also has a great vibe and the service was fast and friendly.
This place is a little slice of Saigon on Stockton Blvd. I've been here a couple times and it's such a cute little hidden gem. The owner put a lot of thought into the decor. I actually met her when I first came and she's so friendly and nice. I got the Vietnamese coffee on the sweeter side and it was good. The coffee taste is authentic, not watered down, and not burnt. The staff here are friendly, quick, and diligent. You can order at the kiosk they have set up, the machine is easy to use and they take cashless forms of payment. I find this spot to be clean and well decorated. I do recommend checking this place out! Parking isn't too tricky but this cafe is located inside a plaza amongst other businesses.
- Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba: $7.30, toppings $0.80. Probably the worst GMT I've ever had. Tea was bitter and the drink itself tasted watery. Had a hard time sucking the boba up as it was all clumped together. Texture wasn't good and it didn't have any flavor. - Peach Tea with Lychee Jelly: $7.30, toppings $0.80. I got it with no ice, so drink came up to about 1 inch from the top. I just don't like their jasmine green tea. I found the drink to be tart. Luckily, the lychee jelly helped add some sweetness to offset it. And this was at 100% sweet. I didn't get any coffee because it was night time and I wouldn't be able to sleep after, but I would come back to try a viet coffee (since that seems like the logical drink to try here). Unfortunately, I can't recommend any of their green tea based drinks. Inside is nice and homey feeling. Definitely a stark contrast to the parking lot/shopping center that it's in. I came by here because my partner went to China Express. But, it's not someplace I would go out of my way for. There's plenty of other good options around imo. However, I still wish them success :) just wasn't for me.
Ca Phe Phin is a cute Viet coffee spot that's to die for! My boyfriend and I came here to catch up with an old friend of mine, and we enjoyed our drinks. He got the egg cream coffee, I got the banana cream matcha, and she got the strawberry matcha. The banana cream had small bits of banana in it- not too large to mess with the texture, but still yummy and packing a bit of sweetness in each of them! The matcha itself was great, the taste was earthy and not bitter. I downed my drink faster than I'd care to admit. The egg cream coffee was unique and yummy, definitely strong! The inside is decorated so cutely and was showing the World Cup on TV for a few people to watch. I wish them much continued success with their business. read more

Love the old school vibes of this place! The place is big enough to chill with your friends or have a coffee date. You can either order with the staff or they have a kiosk to order from as well. Staff is super friendly! They let me taste their teas to see what I would like for my tea base drinks. Coffe drinks I tried: 1) Durian coffee -this was one the THE BEST variation of durian coffee that I've tried - liked that the blended the durian flavor in the cream foam and included pieces of fruit -the smell isn't over baring and just enough flavor mixed into the coffee where you don't feel duped, but has a well balance coffee to durian taste 2) Egg coffee -a solid egg coffee!! Would recommend 3) Coconut coffee -this is a blended ice drink -I typically like coconut Vietnamese coffee, however this wasn't the best variation I have as I did wish it was a little sweeter 4) Taro coffee -rather than a cream top like some of their other drinks, this was more of taro paste with bits in the Vietnamese coffee -it wasn't too sweet so had a stronger coffee taste Tea bases: -was told they seep their tea for about 8 hours to give it that strong flavor ! -green tea - usually not a green tea person when it comes to boba drinks (only by itself) since at times the fruit flavor over mask the tea but this place makes it potent -black tea - they say this one it not popular which is a bummer cause I love black tea -herbal tea- good flavor -jasmine - didn't get to try this tea base but I am sure it taste just as good as the others 1) Peach green tea -beyond refreshing! -loved the fruit bits and peach sliced in the drink 2) Lychee green tea -lychee fruit and lychee jelly included! -Loved the strong tea taste with the fruitiness Pandan waffle Durian waffle -both of these were delicious, good flavor and best right away while it is hot! Overall: One of the best Vietnamese coffee places in the area that I enjoy going to. Quality drinks that do not disappoint. read more

I learned a new thing today....Vietnamese coffees w/banana cream topper. Imagine fresh banana bread sharing your coffee...and, yes!, that is it....and it's sooooo sooooo good! The ambiance inside is like a cute country cafe with small tables/chairs as though you are visiting a cafe patio in Vietnam. Great spot to visit with pals. But, beware...there are more than just coffee options here...they have yummy teas - such as what my pal got - a kumquat lemongrass iced tea (think refreshing citrusy lemonade that was lightly sweetened). You can also get some free jasmine tea while you wait for your drink. And they have light snacks like waffles or matcha sticky rice cakes, or even Asian inspired snack bento boxes. I came here on a Sunday morning about 30 minutes after their opening. You order on the kiosk and they have options ranging from Vietnamese coffee and snacks to milk tea as well. Since you link your phone number on the kiosk, they'll text you when your order is ready. They'll also call your name at the same time. I ordered the Egg Coffee as I needed some Vietnamese coffee for my 4 hour drive. I got regular sweetness and regular ice. The coffee was strong in a good way; it kept me awake during my drive and tasted good! The egg flavor profile wasn't overwhelming, but definitely present which I liked. The inside had a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It seems like it would be a good place to study at as there is a lot of table space and good lighting. There's an ample amount of parking outside in the plaza. read more

Parking 5/5 Bathroom (one only. All genders) Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Food 5/5 (they all agreed) This amazing hidden gem will always be missed due to it being located in the middle of the Main Street inside a small not very hot spot. The place is super cool from the room to the decorations. Super cool ambiance with enough music for a chat, study or get together. I can say a lot more to this beautiful hidden jackpot but I will rather allow my fellow foodies to come and explore this amazing place and tell me so. Drinks: Come here for coffee, but don't come here for their other drinks. I'm a big fan of their white coffee because it's not as strong as the Vietnamese coffee and just the right amount of sweetness. I decided to try their other drinks and was very disappointed. Outside of the coffee, I've had their green thai milk tea, mango cloud, winter melon tea, and soursop tea. The green milk tea is too milky, mango slush is like a brick of ice and super sour, winter melon tea tasted like it's made from the actual root (usually this would be good, but it just tasted extremely herby and a weird sweetness). I did enjoy the soursop tea. As for their coffee, if you like strong Vietnamese coffee this is not the place for you. It doesn't compare to places like Tram, Duc Huong, and Banh Mi House for strong coffees. Service: Service has always been good when I come. They've always been super nice. Ambience: This is a super cute place with plenty of chairs and tables for you to study. It's decorated to resemble Vietnam and is super aesthetic for pictures. read more
This is such a charming vintage mid-century Vietnamese coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor. You can either self-order from their kiosk or place your order with someone at the counter. They serve traditional Vietnamese coffee along with a variety of other drinks and food options. I've tried their egg coffee before and ordered it again for a friend this time, but I decided to try the Sea Salt Cream Coffe and it good for me. The balance between the coffee flavor and the hint of sea salt was balanced perfectly. The drink prices are reasonable, and the overall vibe makes it a great spot to grab coffee, catch up with friends, or get some work or studying done. read more
I really love this coffee shop. I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular here for sure. I love the coconut coffee, the egg coffee, and their refreshers. I've had the pandan waffle which is good, but I would have preferred it to be a little more crispy. I spoke to the owner (I believe she is the owner) during my last visit and she was such a friendly lovely person. I love supporting local businesses such as this one. The vibe of the shop feels very chill and natural. I will be back soon to try more drinks. read more

Great matcha and the World Cup?!? This place is awesome! If you love matcha you HAVE to get the double matcha from this place it was delicious. A strong matcha taste with a sweet hint. Lots of room and outlets so it's a great place to study or get work done. Service was great too! read more
I've been to Ca Phe Phin quite a few times already and it's always either a hit or miss. My go-to drink is the coconut coffee, and depending on who makes it-- it's either very delicious or can be too strong or too icy. Maybe it's just a personal preference thing, but when I order a coconut coffee, I love when it's blended smoothly and mixed into the coffee. Dropped by for a drink after lunch in the area and ordered the Vietnamese egg coffee. You order off a kiosk and my drink came out relatively quickly. The egg coffee is good and creamy, but not as strong as other Vietnamese egg coffees I have tried. I however do prefer my coffee on the stronger side. The interior was so cute, it was decorated for Tet and there was lots of seating available. I would come back to try other drinks! read more

Such a great spot for Vietnamese coffee drinks every time I'm in the area. Everything tasted fresh, bold, and flavorful, with the perfect amount of sweetness. Highly recommend if you love strong coffee with a delicious twist. My family enjoys the bánh mì that they serve here too! read more
Vintage-inspired decor to exude a relaxing atmosphere, friendly service, and fun-concept drinks makes this place a win in my book. Gotta come back and try their egg coffee which is over ice. The coconut coffee is a blended drink which surprised me. I think it could have been blended a little smoother since I ate quite a bit amount of ice chips but the toasted coconut on top was wonderful. They're currently running a promotion which includes free flavored pudding in the drinks, adorable and tasty. read more
I've never been to Vietnam, but when I stepped into ca phe phin my first impression was the vibes are so immaculate. Whoever did the interior design needs a raise because every thing is so so detailed and gives off vintage. You can tell everything was curated very carefully from the posters on the walls, to the decor on the table, to the furniture!! I've come here twice and one of the times my mom tagged along and also commented about the interior! I've tried the sea salt coffee and the durian coffee, and both were so delicious. I drink coffee to study and it def fueled my study sessions. The coffee is creamy, not too sweet, and strong. I really liked the durian cream as it wasn't super overpowering and light. The sea salt cream was also not too thick which I prefer, but i did wish it was a little saltier. It's pretty affordable for the amt and quality you get. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking and there's an option to order on the kiosk or with a staff! This mightve just become my new fav coffee spot in sac!! :) read more

Tried this new café on my way to work today and the vibe inside is super cute, very vintage and nostalgic. I ordered from a kiosk since it was pretty early and there wasn't any staff around to greet at first, which felt a little awkward. I got a strawberry matcha and a crowaffle with strawberries. The service wasn't too fast but not too slow either. When staff eventually came out there wasn't much of a greeting, which added to the slightly off vibe. That being said both the matcha and the waffle were delicious and I'd definitely come back to try more drinks and see how the experience is at a different time of day. read more
A hidden little gem tucked into a small plaza. The interior was decorated with a brick vintage vibe. I ordered the egg coffee with less sweet and less ice. Boy! Their coffee is not playing around, super strong and rich tasting. Come when youre in need of a VERY serious pick me up hahaha. This spot is so cute. It had great seating and the barista's are super friendly. We had tried two of their top drinks. It was a Vietnamese coffee with Egg cream on top and also the sea salt. The coffee was made perfectly and it was not sweet. You can also adjust everything when you order it through the kiosk. read more
Met with my friend here for coffee. It is a cute coffee shop. We placed our order at the kiosk. I got smashed taro and coconut. My friend got durian coffee and pandan waffle. The smashed taro and coconut was too thick and taro was on the harder side. Also, i felt the portion was quite small. It wasn't filled to the rim. Taste overall was ok. Pandan waffle was pretty good. I've heard some good things about this shop and finally got to visit with my friends today. First impression, very spacious and well decorated! The interior goes very well together with plenty of seats around for big and small groups. My friends ordered Sea Salt Coffee, Durian Coffee, Vietnamese Drip (Ca Phe Phin Sua), House Milk Coffee, Soursop Tea, and one more I didn't catch. Vietnamese Drip is only served dine-in so make sure to come before closing time to fully enjoy it! I just asked for ca phe sua đa so they rang me up for House Milk Coffee. I don't know if different ingredients were used, or it's a different recipe compared to the standard espresso + condensed milk + ice, but it didn't taste like traditional Vietnamese coffee. It was good, but I will try their Vietnamese Drip next time instead. read more

A delicious midday stop for a caffeine pick me up. There isn't much in this shopping center so this is a destination stop but the drinks are good and there is plenty of seating for small groups. There is a kiosk to order your drink and several customizable options which is great. Hot or ice? Size options Change ice level or sweetness level Add ons like toppings They even have a milk alternative (oat) Add shot I would definitely go back as all the drinks we ordered were super tasty. I would recommend less ice for your iced drink. My friend did not change his ice level and drank his coffee in a few sips. read more
Came to try this coffee spot for their phin coffees. I had the sea salt coffee and it was good . The service was adorable and sweet. The cafe was also very cute. It was in a really far location though, and thats the only thing that would prevent me from coming . Other than that, coffee did not miss a beat. read more
