Lovely Vietnamese cafe! We ordered an egg coffee and banana matcha, both good. The interior and seating are cute with a few options to sit. The design is old fashioned yet modern with a digital ordering interface. While the banana matcha was not my taste, the egg coffee was great! The coffee was strong yet good with a pandan waffle side! I anticipated staying up all night and did. This is for those who drink espresso or ca phe sua regularly. The tasty waffle helped balance the caffeine a little. The bathroom is cute and decorated with so much aesthetic, but the downside is no toilet seat covers.
Delicious Vietnamese coffee spot!! It's currently my favorite in Sac! Egg coffee is spot on! Taro coffee is also strong in coffee flavor with fresh taro inclusions. They also have food that's made ready to go or to order. Great service! Was greeted and they also brought us our drinks. The ambiance is very cute, quaint and cozy! We will definitely be back!
I stopped in while I was in the area and was excited that there's plenty of parking in the plaza lot. It made it easy to stop in. When I walked in I was greeted and the team member at the counter took my order and gave some suggestions when I asked. I ended up ordering an egg coffee ($8) and coconut coffee ($8) along with one of their pandan waffles ($6). The inside of the restaurant is a lot bigger than I expected and it can accomodate a good amount of people in small groups. Definitely a nice place to dine in and hang out for a while with friends. There is an ordering kiosk, but while I was there the employee at the checkout was greeting everyone and having them order with him vs the kiosk. It's nice to have the human touch and be able to ask questions. The drinks didn't take too long to come out and the panda waffle was ready shortly afterward and was steaming hot and smelled great. I took them to go, but next time I'll have to hang out for a while. Both drinks were great, the coconut coffee was a blended drink and is definitely more of a treat, but had great coffee flavor. The egg coffee was also delicious and nice and strong. The pandan waffle was light and fluffy with a nice sweet pandan flavor, but not overly sweet. Overall I loved each item I ordered and would get them again. I'm excited to return to explore more of their menu.
Amazing Vietnamese coffee! My husband and I shared the white coffee to try because usually it's strong. But this is perfect! Not too sweet but also not too much coffee for our poor hearts The service is amazing, he recommended our coffee! We walked in on our way to order on the kiosk but he was so inviting we decided against the kiosk. The interior is even better too. They have a feel of an outdoor space without actually being outside. Decorations that best represents the culture which I love!
To those that follow me already know that I have a huge infatuation for independently owned-and-operated coffee shops. This takes me on a journey to South Sacramento where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ca Phe Phin". Located in a small strip mall, their location is directly on Stockton Blvd and in between Florin Rd/Gerber Rd while being just a few blocks east of Highway 99. Additionally, there are a few other amazing small businesses here including "Las Palmas Pupuseria", "China Express", and other notable places. Ever since debuting back in the fall of 2024, Ca Phe Phin has gained a very respectable amount of positive Yelp reviews. And since they specialize in Vietnamese coffees/espresso drinks, matcha, milk tea, and refreshers, I just had to try this place out for myself. The parking can get quite full on any given day but during my visit (which was during the afternoon on Saturday 2/28/2026 at around 4:30pm), it wasn't too busy during this time. They do have generous hours of operation being open weekdays from 7am-6pm and weekends from 7am-7pm. As soon as I stepped in, I was very impressed with how well put together the layout was. The ambiance was very inviting, rustic, vintage, and modern all in one. Here you will witness beautiful leather chairs with a large wooden tube-TV that looked eerily similar to when I was a small child in the early-1980's. The wooden shelving with plants, the brick wall that flows alongside most of the interior, and amount of throwback items really tells me how much emphasis was done in making this place stand out from the rest. Their menu is quite impressive with a huge selection of coffees to choose to your liking. This includes everything including your basic lattes but also unique offerings such as taro, durian, coconut, and one of the coffees that the young man recommend, "Egg Coffee". Since I opted for an ice version, this gave me the extra added caffeine boost that I needed. My lady went with their "Strawberry Matcha Latte" which had all the great elements to make it amazing; strawberry (on the bottom), sweet cream (in the middle), and matcha (on top). After finding a cozy little area to sit inside, our drinks came out in less than five minutes. I will say for someone that has never flirted with Egg Coffee, I was blown away with how delicious this was! Think of topping being a sweet cream egg souffle texture that has hints of egg nog, but without the nutmeg. This was so delicious to a point where I wish I lived closer just to enjoy how delicious this was. My lady also loved her drink; she stated that she is not much of a matcha fan but the strawberry flavor helped disguise it and she also loved her drink. I will say that "Ca Phe Phin" is as good as it gets, at least from my first hand experience. With stellar customer service, a great environment, and delicious drinks, this place earns an easy five-star rating from me.
Cool dining area with many nostalgic items from Vietnam. I got the Saigon Special iced coffee, it was delicious. She got the Mango Cloud, it didn't taste of mango at all. Wouldn't get it again. When we're served out drinks, they had a large gap at the top. After we left we figured out that the gap was for shaking up our drinks, stupid us. Would we be back? There's many other southeastern coffee shops close by with better drinks and service.

I was in "little Saigon" along Stockton Boulevard, and I had just gotten back from Vietnam. So, I needed to get my Vietnamese coffee fix. This is the place that came up, and I was not disappointed. I've fallen in love with Vietnamese coffee. It's made with "Robusto" beans, and so it has more of a bold rich flavor than your average espresso beans, which are usually a mix of arabica and Robusto. This shop is a little bit off the main business area of Stockton Boulevard, about a block and a half south of Florin Road in a small shopping center. I pull in, and it's just a nice little café. I decided to go with a coffee that I fell in love with over there, the egg coffee. It's Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk, and an egg yolk. As weird as it sounds, it is amazing. The egg yolk gives the coffee, a rich creamy flavor that blends so well with the flavors of the coffee and the condensed milk. It's almost like a "liquid tiramisu." I get my coffee, and oh my... It took me right back to Vietnam. The coffee had a good kick to it, and the condensed milk and the egg just made it so sweet, rich, and creamy. The coffee kept it from being overly rich. It was nothing short of amazing. The coffee was eight bucks, plus tax and tip. It sounds like it's on the higher end, but not really. You're going to pay close to that at Starbucks, for far inferior coffee. This place was amazing, and I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Tea was too sweet for my liking but it was bursting with flavor. if you add water it hits on those hot summer days. Cafe is cute. In a sketch area but sometimes those are the spots that are hidden gems. Has a nice little seating area for studying or just hanging out with a friend. Check them out.
Great spot for Viet coffee, matcha and milk tea! The place is nicely decorated with a vintage vibe, and so many red decorations during Lunar new year. We ordered: - egg coffee- the egg cream on top was pretty thick and perfectly sweetened. The coffee itself was pretty strong and had that distinct Viet coffee flavor you get from using a phin. - durian coffee- first time I've seen this flavor for coffee so I had to try it. If you like durian, this is the drink to get! Durian flavor didn't overpower the coffee and balanced out well. The cream is nice and thick, with some durian bits on top. Overall, great spot for viet coffee using phin filter. I would come back to try the sea salt and taro coffee if I'm in the area. Def recommend!
We got 2 jasmine milk teas and I got an egg coffee and added banana cream. I'm pretty sure banana cream on your egg coffee can change your entire life. I swear I heard the Beatles when I took my first sip. Can't wait to come back. The cafe also has a great vibe and the service was fast and friendly.
This place is a little slice of Saigon on Stockton Blvd. I've been here a couple times and it's such a cute little hidden gem. The owner put a lot of thought into the decor. I actually met her when I first came and she's so friendly and nice. I got the Vietnamese coffee on the sweeter side and it was good. The coffee taste is authentic, not watered down, and not burnt. The staff here are friendly, quick, and diligent. You can order at the kiosk they have set up, the machine is easy to use and they take cashless forms of payment. I find this spot to be clean and well decorated. I do recommend checking this place out! Parking isn't too tricky but this cafe is located inside a plaza amongst other businesses.
- Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba: $7.30, toppings $0.80. Probably the worst GMT I've ever had. Tea was bitter and the drink itself tasted watery. Had a hard time sucking the boba up as it was all clumped together. Texture wasn't good and it didn't have any flavor. - Peach Tea with Lychee Jelly: $7.30, toppings $0.80. I got it with no ice, so drink came up to about 1 inch from the top. I just don't like their jasmine green tea. I found the drink to be tart. Luckily, the lychee jelly helped add some sweetness to offset it. And this was at 100% sweet. I didn't get any coffee because it was night time and I wouldn't be able to sleep after, but I would come back to try a viet coffee (since that seems like the logical drink to try here). Unfortunately, I can't recommend any of their green tea based drinks. Inside is nice and homey feeling. Definitely a stark contrast to the parking lot/shopping center that it's in. I came by here because my partner went to China Express. But, it's not someplace I would go out of my way for. There's plenty of other good options around imo. However, I still wish them success :) just wasn't for me.
My experience is my experience alone, I didn't like the drink i purchased from here. Perhaps it could have just been the way it was made that day but it was not good. I ordered the banana matcha. Maybe I would give it one more chance. Flavor was blah.. read more

Great Vietnamese coffee place amongst a lot of other nearby Vietnamese owned businesses (off of Stockton Blvd / Florin Rd). It was packed on a Sunday afternoon, many of the customers speaking Vietnamese. They have some bar & table seating. They have a self-ordering kiosk, making it very easy to place my order. The man who brought out my drinks was very nice & spoke to me with a smile. I ordered the Taro Coffee (less ice/less sweet) and the Oolong Milk Tea for a family member. I wish the taro was a bit more present in the drink, but overall appreciate the strong coffee flavor. I was told the Oolong Milk Tea was good. I would definitely return to try other drinks on the menu. read more

Nice viet coffee shop. Warm atmosphere & deco with a many home country deco. You can either order at counter or at kiosks. Boxed snacks such as steam cake & salads are right by the counter. We order the milk coffee & coconut coffee (as recommended by other yelpers). The coconut coffee has a strong expresso base that some may get overwhelmed by it. But I think once you mixed it together, it will balance the taste well. The light roasted coconut pieces adds a nice crunchy touch to the coffee. The drink prices are a bit on the higher side even thought they are handcrafted nicely. I will def go back to try it again. Once in a blue moon will not break my bank, lol read more
A nice tea place in Sacramento. We got the Matcha Latte and the Thai Tea boba, and both were standard and good. We didn't spend too much time here and the drinks honestly weren't too special, but the location is great for a short break for the drive between Lake Tahoe and the Bay Area. read more
They have a self service kiosk you can order on. We got the taro coffee and the passionfruit pineapple tea for drinks. The coffee is not really strong and I've had more flavorful Vietnamese coffees before. Passionfruit pineapple drink was ok, it was a bit hard to drink as the pineapple chunks in it were a bit big. The pandan waffle did not have much pandan flavor. It did come out warm and crispy though. Overall an okay place for drinks. read more
Vietnamese coffee , milk teas , and more ? Sign me up ! Ca the phin Is Stockton blvd's newest business that offers some yummy treats ! They had me at pandan waffles . It was warm , fluffy , and chewy ! Something worth pointing out was on one day the menu said they were about $2 and then the next day they suit up to around $6. I like their matcha , but for some reason it tastes like nori to me ? It was different and I'm not sure if it's good or bad lol it was like drinking a sweet seaweed drink . I called before coming in to ask if they use ceremonial grade matcha . One lady said no , then she puts another person on the phone who said yes . There's a bit of confusion that could be cleared up lol Overall , I like the newest addition to Stockton blvd and hope they stick around ! read more

Love trying new coffee places. Ca Phe Phin is a welcoming place - plenty of seating areas to choose from and clean. Asked for recommendations and they noted the coconut and egg coffees were popular items, so we ordered one of each. The coconut coffee only comes cold while option of hot or cold for the egg coffee - went with hot. Pros - lots of egg cream topped the coffee and it was just the right amount of sweetness. This coffee, overall, was good. However, a bit pricey for the size of the coffee. Also, the coconut coffee was strong and bitter - wasn't my fave. Glad to have given them a try, though. read more
I've seen this on social media and been wanting to check it out. When I first walked in I love the dining area. It's unique and not like other Vietnamese Coffee places in the area. I could see myself hangout out here with family or friends. When I saw the menu. I was surprised to see how expensive the drinks here are. I felt like I way in the bay. I was hoping it'll taste as good as it cost! When I went to order at the cashier the person helping was nice and was able to give recommendations on the sweetness level. I ended up ordering the Egg Coffee and Taro Coffee. Both less sweet and less ice. The drink tasted okay. The sweetness level was perfect and I can taste the coffee. But for a Vietnamese Coffee Shop, the espresso is supposed to taste bold. The coffee here tasted light. If the coffee was stronger I would recommend this place because that would be some good coffee and I'm willing to pay the price. But for light coffee. I wouldn't recommend sadly, and for the price, I wouldn't come back. read more

Seems like the new casual hot spot for Vietnamese family gatherings lol lots of loud chattering and cackling. :p Not surprising after I tried the house milk coffee and sea salt coffee; pretty solid Vietnamese coffees. Not the most robust-tasting Vietnamese coffees that I've had but still some of the better Vietnamese coffees in the Sac area for sure. I recommend the sea salt coffee for those who don't want much coffee boldness as the salt and cream cuts a lot of it. Also had a durian waffle. Super subtle durian taste but *loved* the glutinous-rice-flour-bounciness to it. Gobbled it all up within minutes. Would definitely get it again or even try the pandan version. No problems with finding strip mall parking here at all, which is a breath of fresh air considering how some plazas in Little Saigon are quite congested lol. read more
Stopped by Ca Phe Phin with my daughter and niece after treating my family to Dim Sum. I never knew there was a little gem tucked away in the small plaza near my parents' place! I pass by there all the time and never would have guessed a coffee shop was right there. As soon as you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell. It's not your typical coffee shop aroma--I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't my favorite. But hey, I was there for the coffee! Lol. The interior has a nostalgic charm, giving off low-key Vietnam coffee shop vibes. It's clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating. Customer service was great--we were greeted as soon as we walked in. Ordering from the digital menu was quick and convenient, though they also take orders in person. One thing I really appreciated was how respectful the staff was toward their elders. For drinks, I got the coconut coffee, and my daughter tried the strawberry matcha latte with boba--needless to say, she loved it! My drink was really good too; I might go for extra sweetness next time, but overall, I really enjoyed it. Definitely a spot worth checking out! read more

Cafe Phin opened probably 1-2 yrs ago, not sure of the exact time but if you want the traditional Viet drip coffee, it's the spot. They also have other flavors like egg coffee, durian coffee, blended coffee. They serve a few food dishes Banh mi, Shrimp bread, pandan waffle. Been here a few times and I love it. . Durian coffee - strong viet coffee with durian meat on top. The durian really gives a nice smell when you sip the coffee. . Taro viet coffee - It has nice fresh taro bits in the drink. I really went fishing in the cup for the taro bits. The taro was a new favorite. . Avocado durian - less liquid more of the avocado. Not too much durian in it. The drink is more like a dessert than actual drink. To me it was just ok. I will just stick to coffee drinks next time. . Pandan waffles here is fresh and good. It's a good snack if you want something to munch on. . The vibe in here is chill. I like easy parking and easy to get to. The inside has lots of seating. Ordered the durian egg coffee here and it was perfect! A nice strong coffee base with a subtle hint of durian. Drink is topped with a whipped-egg foam top. We came on a Saturday morning after grocery shopping and it was pretty busy! The interior is so nice and cute! The workers are very sweet. They also have a Kiosk where you can put in your order. We ordered the House Latte, it was perfect! Not too strong if you don't want the total Viet Coffee effect, LOL. I didn't know they had little snacks! So I'll have to come back and try it out.. Overall, I enjoyed this place. The pricing is your normal $7 latte price now-a-days, but it was good and it gave me a good pick me up to finish the rest of our Saturday morning errands! read more
I came here a few minutes before it opened. A guy started opening up exactly at 7:00am. When I walked in, the alarm was going off. I ordered and he didn't seem to know how to work the register as I couldn't pay with my card and there was no change for my cash. I was questioning if I should come back another day. Then another worker came in and she worked the register. I ordered the coffee with egg coffee (popular choice) with less ice and sweetness. I enjoyed the egg foam. The coffee is quite strong for me. Our group coffee therapy picked this place and it was so busy that morning. We each got different coffees and they're all sooo good. From hot to cold, everything was tasty and delicious. I had to claim my Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. The order could have had more chocolate as it was supposed to advertise Dubai chocolate. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my winnings with friends. The coffee shop was how do I put it nicely, decorated very vietnamese-ish. There were an eclectic of cute asian things in the restaurant, from vietnamese stools to wooden windows panels to modern seats, it's all there. Again there were a lot of vietnamese people ordering coffee and food, which is a great sign. I'd come back again for their coffee for sure. read more
Went back for more drinks. Omg the kumquat salt lime tastes like how my grandma would make it. Really brings me back to my childhood. Less sweet is sufficient but I will try 1 level up in sweetness next time. Coconut Pandan is refreshing but nothing special. Definitely good when you're dehydrated. Boba was a little overcooked this time but wasn't last time, so I'm a little disappointed to find out this inconsistency. Regardless, I think this will be a go-to spot for me. read more

We were fortunate to be able to go to Ca Phe Phin on their last soft opening day today. They will be closed from Sept 3rd until their grand opening day. I'm always excited for new viet cafes in Sacramento, especially with this one being so close to me. I really love the interior decor, which gives off a retro vintage vibe. We ordered the egg coffee and coconut coffee ($6.75 each), both were really good! I definitely think they are the best ones I've had so far in Sacramento. I highly recommend trying both of them! They also had banh mi mien tay and pandan waffle for something to eat or snack on. We got our drinks pretty quick. They had a self-service kiosk on the side, but you could also order directly from the staff as well read more
I love Vietnamese coffee and when I heard Ca Phe Phin was opening, I was so excited to come try the new shop in Sacramento. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in-- the plaza and surrounding area are not the best, but the interior is spacious, very cute and modern. There are lots of seats, but it was busy Sunday afternoon so they were all taken by the time we got there. Service was friendly and efficient. I ordered an egg coffee with light ice ($7.61) while my friend ordered the sea salt coffee. I do like how you can adjust the sweetness and ice levels since some shops don't do that with specialty foams and premade drinks. The viet coffee was good, strong and bold flavor but not bitter. I was a little disappointed about the egg foam since that is usually my favorite part, there wasn't as much egg foam as I would like and there was no egg flavor. I do like the texture, very creamy and smooth. The sea salt coffee tasted very similar, good texture and smooth but no salt flavor at all. Overall the drinks were okay, I feel like we have had better Vietnamese coffee elsewhere but this wasn't bad. I would recommend for friends to come if they like trying new places or needed somewhere cute to chit chat in South Sac! read more

I think I just found my new coffee spot! I was skeptical at first bc there's a lot of coffee shops in this area and it was sorta "out of the way" for me. But after trying their coffee, I'm hooked!! It's the perfect blend of bittersweetness! Bought their house coffee & the latte version as well. I love how they don't try to skimp out by filling the cups full of ice. You get what you pay for! I'll be coming back again and again even if it's further out for me! Also, I really love the kiosk. It makes ordering and customizing super easy! read more
The decor here is so cute. The old school brick TV, bamboo stools, and bamboo baskets really give you that saigon street fun. Ordered the egg coffee but could not drink all of it. It's just too sweet. We also ordered a regular coffee with just milk, but they only had condensed milk, which again was too sweet. Please the staff though, they were trying their best to accomadate us, but the drinks just weren't landing. read more
March 2025. Got the Vietnamese egg coffee. It was $8 + tax so $8.62. So paid $8.62 for a small coffee, was in a 12oz coffee cup. Yes it tasted good but definitely not for that price. Also the order literally came out in 1 minute so , they poured it together way too fast, so it is not fresh when the order comes out that quick. Also the computer took my order and asked for a tip, that is just rude, I did all the work. If I have to order off a screen or phone I know everyone does it nowadays but if there are less workers shouldn't the coffee be cheaper? Also there was legit only 1 worker in the cafe. So if you want expensive coffee and bad service, I recommend you come here, I won't be coming back. read more

First of all, there is a lot of space at this coffee shop. It's ideal for a solo study date, or a hangout with friends. Secondly, it's great that it has a kiosk to help with orders. The menu isn't the biggest, but their quality makes up for it. The house latte was soooo good, I wish I could have ordered a larger size. Drinks are also pretty to look at. If this place was closer to me, I'd probably be here everyday for my morning coffee. read more
Got the Coconut Pandan Refresher because I thought I was making a smart choice. I was not. It's literally coconut water with pandan syrup...refreshing, sure, but the color had me mildly concerned. Like, should a drink look like that? Science says maybe. My boyfriend got the Egg Coffee, and I, being the supportive partner I am, took a sip. Huge mistake. I was immediately vibrating at a higher frequency. My thoughts had thoughts. I saw my past, present, and future all at once. 10/10, would lose touch with reality again. We also got the Pandan Waffle, which was actually great. No existential crises, just a solid waffle. If you're coming here, skip the refresher and embrace the dhwkdhwkwvdkajejsjajajajajaja read more
The Vietnamese coffee here is soooo good! I personally loved the salted cream one the most but all the ones we tried were good. We also liked the normal cafe sua da and the egg coffee. I saw they had other cool flavors like durian! The service was really good and the interior is cute and clean. Already recommend to my friends and family around Sacramento! read more

Great customer service, an associate was going in and opened the door for us and welcomed us, as well as the staff inside welcomed us when we walked in. We ordered on the kiosk, staff was helpful when we had questions about the menu. We ordered the Dubai chocolate strawberries and a mango cloud. The Dubai chocolates strawberries were so good!! Mango cloud was pretty good it wasn't anything like special but it was refreshing. Definitely will come back next time to give their coffee a try read more

My wholesome humble go-to cafe brings beautiful memories of our mother country- comforts food, snacks, desserts, & yummy beverages, matcha & coffees- are made w so much love w freshness - Of you ever get a bev little shorter on the avg size - just let'm see it again some times when the foam in fresh it fills and dissipate a while after it's natural cause/effect Trust the energy- Cafe Phin is so deserving of 5 stars every Single time - I leave happy, humbled, grateful & satisfied- You will too! read more

I really liked this cafe! The drinks were unique and tasty and the staff were all so friendly. The owner even walked around and greeted all the customers. We ordered the salted caramel coffee and the egg coffee which were both delicious and kept us well caffeinated. I will definitely be coming back to try their other drinks like the ube coffee, durian coffee and durian waffle. read more

I've been wanting to try Ca Phe Phin, so we decided to stop by. I didn't realize it was tucked away in a small retail strip/shopping area. Parking can be tight if it's really busy. We were able to find a parking spot near the front. The interior is nice and there's several seating areas. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee (a classic), and pandan waffles. The coffee was good and the flavor of the coffee was actually quite tasty - it has this hint of sweetness in it. The pandan waffle was pretty good too, however, it took a while for it to come out. It was pretty busy, so we sat in the back where it was open. I actually like it in the back, as the seating area was more of a casual/loungey vibe with the couches and it had more space. Finally came back to grab drinks one morning at Ca Phe Phin after the grand opening hype has died down. It wasn't chaotic anymore and they seemed much more organized with assigned pagers so you know when your order is ready. They also have the menu up on the screen so you can look ahead of time, which was an improvement from our first visit. I really enjoyed my sea salt coffee and would definitely come back again for that drink, so definitely a better experience than last time! Hopefully I'll be back again to try out the fruit teas next time. read more

Such a cute little coffee shop and the coffee was so good! I'm very picky when it comes to my Vietnamese coffee but they get the stamp of approval from me!! Nice and strong but not bitter and still sweet. Definitely will come back!! read more
