First time at Cafe La Vies & I 100% recommend it! The matcha was good quality & I loved the variety of flavors they have! I tried the peach matcha & my mom had the banana, we both rated them a 10/10. The staff was friendly & was kind enough to go through the menu with us. Our drinks were made fairly quick & we got to enjoy them outside.
I have been here a handful of times now and this is a busy little cafe. The seats are always full , even the small table out front , every time I have visited . The counter is only a few feet from the front entrance, so because this is a busy shop, the front area can get very crowded. The staff have always been nice and friendly. I have tried multiple teas but the Hojicha is my favorite and my husband enjoys their okinowa milk tea. We have also grabbed food here on a couple of occasions . It's fine but I don't recommend the musubi. They leave it out on the counter wrapped in plastic so it's cold and has been sitting. Besides that, we have had good experiences here and will continue to stop in.
First time trying here. Good ambiance, love the selection of music, they had variety of menu for milk teas, fruit teas and unexpectedly, their matcha is so good! Had to try some of their snacks. Love the pork lumpia. Served hot and fresh and it was good. The chicken dumplings should be paired with soysauce instead of chili sweet sauce. Overall, it was a good cafe. Will come again next time to tey their other snacks and menu.

We recently stopped by Cafe La Vies and ended up having such a fun experience. I ordered the banana matcha, which was absolutely delicious. The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.
The drinks were amazing! I got the Double Matcha, and it tasted so good. The matcha wasn't too strong, and it was creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. It actually tasted very similar to the Double Matcha from Okome in Fresno. One thing is that the drinks are definitely on the pricier side... but I wouldn't mind coming back for more whenever I'm craving it. I got 3 drinks for $30.
Cafe La Vies was such a delight. I follow the page on Instagram and the drinks always look so pretty. I got the chance to try two drink today and they were delicious. When we got there it was a full house. All the tables were full with people sitting and chatting which speaks to the coziness of it. I tried the banana matcha and the white chocolate mocha. They were both great and I will definitely be going back to try more.

Lots of people on computers just hanging out. Plenty of parking and you can get points of you sign up. Second visit we went for the matcha flight. For small marchas of different flavors. Coconut, pumpkin, regular matcha and banana matcha. Coconut was super sweet and not my fave. My first pick was the Pumpkin then the regular matcha with the banana in third that had actual banana bits. The staff is super sweet and fast at taking orders and preparing your drink. They have been out of the plushy key chain dragon but still have the smoking little dragon for an extra cost. Totally worth seein
Fun cafe experience at this hyped up coffee and tea shop! My friend saw one of the reels for new years steaming clay lions on bubble tea so we went to try it. The steaming tea was aesthetic and all the fun! It is a bit over hyped but enjoyable nonetheless Update: came by again and had some Vietnamese coffee at this Vietnamese cafe! With the tiramisu and ube topped drinks, this was great! There was a bonus surprise cup with cute keychain plushies at the bottom too. Delightful fun made the sweet coffees all the better
Soooo good! I'm not a huge fan of Ube but let me tell you! All of the other flavors were so good!!! I will say it may be a good idea to share because it was hard drinking so much coffee but it definitely was amazing!
Their Viet coffee flight with ice cream was amazing!! We got Pistachio, Green Tea, Vanilla, and Chocolate- none will disappoint bc they all have a different personality. Mango Mochi was dreamy creamy heavenly and so so easy to eat- was gone in a flash but enjoyed every morsel! Ann at the front was pleasant and patient with us when trying to decide what we wanted to order. The only discrepancy of this cute cafe is the supply in bathroom- we arrived when they just opened as first Customers and Paper Towels to dry off hands werent stocked and ready for the day. Yikes. Need to pay more attention to the bathroom and this place would be next to perfect! Would visit again for their Viet coffee-so delightful!
My friend was visiting from the Bay Area and put me on to the new banana bread coffee trend by scooping up a flight from Cafe La Vies. I am looking forward to making an in-person visit to experience the cafe for myself but I was impressed by the four different samples. I had the tiramisu, biscoff, egg coffee and the banana bread. Now I'm used to just condensed milk at the bottom so these flavor combos were quite a surprise. It felt like I was drinking a pastry or drinking a sweet treat. The banana bread stood out to me from the four different samples but each had a unique flavor. I preferred the banana bread because it tasted the most balanced. The coffee and the sugar were complimenting each other, whereas with the others the sweetness dominated the entire drink and I couldn't really taste much of anything else. I would say the egg coffee came in second for me after the banana bread.
New study spot secured (mind you: with CHARGERS)! I came with a friend and got the matcha flight: - banana matcha 4/10 - biscoff matcha 7/10 - coconut matcha 9/10 - vanilla matcha 6/10 Music was playing, plenty of chairs and tables available. Many students coming and out to study or enjoy snacks and coffee together. It was relatively clean, a few sticky tables but the service was quick and easy. Hopefully you go and try it!

Drinks are so good, this is my second time here from East Bay. We've made this a pitstop anytime we're drive through sac. The first time visiting, I tried their banana matcha which was delicious. Came by today and got their egg coffee, also very delicious. They do not miss here. Highly recommend. As for service, they make your drinks pretty fast and move the line quickly, so no complaints there. Ambiance could be taken up a notch by making it more cute and cozy but definitely just a place to pop in and grab your bev. read more

The customer service lacks! Point of sale system froze, they proceeded to make my drink and then just held onto it until they got it back up and running. So I was really waiting on them to just fix the payment system, way to inconvenience the customer. Cause it's so hard to just make the moment right?!? Two visits prior to today's they made a specialty drink wrong and couldn't even fix their mistake. I'll save myself the disappointment andgo elsewhere next time. read more

What a cute place to come for drinks & chill or work. There's easy parking, plenty of seating and some hot snacks too. Such cute little merch and we got 5 of the capybara keychains. Too adorable! We tried the half matcha half coffee drink and the banana flavor tastes amazing. Love the ube and the mango drinks too. read more

Their matcha tastes pretty good, just the right amount of each flavor combination. I tried their biscoff matcha latte and it was really delicious. They put the biscoff cookie on top of the lid, instead of in the drink. The place was super cozy, clean, and they offered cute trinkets and trendy items to go with the drinks. However, the service just wasn't friendly today. read more

Great place for a quick drink fix. It was pretty busy when I came on a Sunday morning with my friend. Service is quick and efficient. They have so many different matcha combinations that I have to come back to try! I tried their Strawberry Matcha with boba which was honestly a bit mild tasting to me. I'm going to come back to try their other drinks though! Their menu is diverse. Good parking spaces as well. I don't think I would come here to study or read a book as it can get noisy/crowded, which is overwhelming with the lack of space. I think this place is a great morning stop before brunch or the Farmer's market or going out with a friend. Thank you Cafe La Vies!!!! I will be back. read more

We came all the way from north natomas just for the coffee. We were told it was awesome... they didn't lie!not a fan of matcha, but the creme brule, tirimasu, and banana coffee were definitely worth the 40 minute drive... the menu is huge... so we'll be back! read more

If we had known in the beginning that the Matcha Flight was fairly decent in size and the amount of matcha was a lot. We wouldn't have ordered 3. The verdict! 1. Banana matcha for the win 2. Matcha with coconut surprisingly good 3. Matcha Biscoff was okay 4. Matcha regular meh Overall, we had a stomachache and headache after drinking way too much matcha but it was worth it! read more
Cafe La Vies is a popular cafe in Elk Grove that serves up Asian inspired drinks and snacks. I first found out about Cafe La Vies through their social media showing off their lucky tea pots that they can add-on to any of their drinks. If you're coming for the lucky tea pot, I do have to say that it looks very cool and will make an amazing photo or video for your social media. It's a tiny little tea pot that they put dry ice into. When combined with hot water the tea pot pours out what looks like steam. It looks amazing, but is only for a visual flair and doesn't add anything to the taste of the drink. As I mentioned, it can be added to any drink as they just place it on top of the lid. For a small fee you get to experience the lucky tea pot! If it's worth the picture, that's up to you! The stand-out feature of Cafe La Vies is their coffee selection. They have a number of Vietnamese coffee options as well as other, more traditional offerings with fun spins on them. I found the coffee to be excellent and something that I'd go back for. The Vietnamese coffee in particular is very strong with good flavors. Some of the other drinks, like the lemonade, were too sweet. You might be able to ask them to adjust the sweetness if ordering these. I didn't see a sweetness adjustment on my visit, but I'd advise that for some of their fruity sweet drinks. I was least impressed with the food. They have different kinds of waffles available. They are fine, but the flavor of the waffle comes from the topping and not the waffle. For example, the ube waffle isn't an infused with ube, it just has ube flavoring on the top. The spring rolls I tried weren't anything special either. I personally would skip on the food items here and just go for the coffee drinks. Cafe La Vies is pretty popular, and when we went it was at a non-busy hour, but the place was still very full. Long story short - go for the coffee and you'll be good! read more

Was in the area for a few hours and wanted to try a coffee shop. This popped up on our search. There were 3 of us, so we just decided to try their flights. My fav was the Ube. It was a cute coffee shop. Tables and chairs inside. We didn't get to try any food since we were stuffed from a Thai restaurant nearby. Service was quick. Although it got crowded after we got our drinks. I guess we just have good timing lol! read more

Local coffee shop that caters to the neighborhood, near by college on gym members :) My son comes to this coffee joint at least 2x a week to get some of his art work and has nothing but good things to say. Met him for a late mommy and son date yesterday and the place didn't disappoint. I have the Vanilla Latte with almond milk - Yummy! Trust that something as classic as a vanilla coffee can be done wrong so I'm really happy that mine came out extra yummy. He had the banana matching which was equally great Place is clean and spacious enough to be able to have a conversation without hearing what's going on at the next table. Service was pleasant, the person who took our order was polite and soft spoken. I can tell this place gets busy. There was always a customer ordering but mostly to go. Will come again. read more
I was craving a PSL, and saw a food blogger review their seasonal Vietnamese Pumpkin Latte and immediately knew I needed to give it a try. I loved the crunch of the crumble toppings, the pumpkin cream was delicious and not too sweet, and the Vietnamese coffee was so good. The girls working up front were nice, acknowledged me as soon as I walked in, and waited until I was ready to order. I ended up reading and doing some work here, but I never realized how much the seating space was. I usually always grab and go, never sitting down. I took a work call here and that was my mistake because I didn't realize how loud the music was (for meetings and just calls in general) until I took off my noise cancelling headphones. Might I suggest stepping and working outside if you have important calls lol. The tables were clean and I enjoyed getting some reading done here, especially with all the natural lighting. read more
Service - 5/5 The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the different drinks for us. Food/drinks - 5/5 We only orders drinks and we had 2 different types of Vietnamese Coffees. Vietnamese Egg Coffee was delicious. Right amount of sweetness and the "egg" did not overpower the Vietnamese Coffee Vietnamese Sea Salt was also delicious. This was our first time here because we were charging our vehicle. It was a perfect spot to charge and glad that there was this cafe to have some coffee before our drive back home. read more

This was our second time at Cafe La Vies. We wanted to try the Banana Series. This time there was no line but we did have to wait a while before anyone would take our order. We ordered a Banana Coffee and a Banana Matcha. They were ready rather quickly. My daughter loved her Banana Matcha however, my banana coffee was not good. I was rather confused since the last time we came. I got the flight of Vietnamese Coffees and every one of them was delicious. This time the coffee tasted very bitter and perhaps burnt. It was undrinkable imo. They now have Pumpkin drinks we'd like to try. read more
One of our favorite spots for specialty Matcha drinks and other flavored coffees. We always enjoy everything that we order every time we come here. There is inside seating and it can get pretty packed. They also serve food items as well. Definitely a must try Spot to add to your favorite coffee shop list! read more

Walking into this cafe was a typical ambiance of a coffeehouse. WiFi password written on a dry erase board. Flyers and business cards for local activities and business owners. The cashier was helpful when I asked questions about the beverages. I decided on a Vietnamese Frappe. My husband orders the Vietnamese coffee iced. The drinks tasted strong and well it was nice to chill on the comfortable cushiony seats by the door. This can be a good local hangout for friends. read more

Firstly, service was fast and friendly. The cashier was super nice and helpful. Secondly, the drinks are priced great and they're big sizes. Thirdly, the coffee and matcha were very prominent so they didn't skimp on the core ingredients. Now why only a 4 stars, well, there's really no place to stand or sit. It's pretty busy inside and after ordering your kind of in every one's way. Also, the mango matcha drink was really just ok. The flavors didn't meld together. The better drink was the crème bru Le. But they have so many drinks that I want to come back for the service and to taste the rest. read more

Got my items door dashed so I can't speak for the service or ambiance. The strawberry matcha is fire! Not too sweet but flavorful and didn't taste like grass like some matcha. Also got the mochi waffle. Absolutely loved the texture but I had to add butter and a little syrup to give it some flavor. read more
Cafe La Vies has an extensive menu of Espresso drinks, Foam Topped Latte drinks, Vietnamese coffee drinks, Matcha drinks, Blended drinks, Milk Teas, Fruit drinks, and pastries. They're located in the Center Parkway and Sheldon shopping center so there is ample parking. They have a good sized dining area and were quite busy on a Saturday morning. The handful of employees were working hard to get drinks out. But my order was taken quickly by a staff person (no kiosks here!). And my drinks were ready in few minutes. The iced Vietnamese coffee was delicious: strong and sweet. And the banana matcha drink was lightly sweetened with a yummy banana foam. It's no wonder why Cafe La Vies is so popular! The four drinks featured: -strawberry matcha (regular) - strawberry doesn't look like much but you can definitely taste it mixed in, adds a good level of sweetness -banana cream matcha - pairs so well together and reminds me of banana pudding -sea salt foam Vietnamese coffee - saltiness of the foam enhances the strong coffee taste -Vietnamese coffee - can never go wrong with this classic The coffee shop is small on the inside, seems like a good place for students to study. The wait was about 15-20 minutes for our drinks but most of them were specialty. Overall would recommend! read more
