I like that this spot opens early since most boba and tea shops open later. It's also a great place if you prefer a quieter environment that isn't overly crowded or busy. They had cute Lunar New Year decorations up, and the space felt clean and roomy. With every purchase, customers received scratchers for a chance to win prizes, and there was also a small prize wheel for kids, which was a nice touch. The staff member working that morning was friendly and easygoing. Ordering can be done through a self-service kiosk or at the counter. However, there isn't a visible menu displayed, so you'll need to check online or wait until you reach the kiosk to browse options. DRINK Ube Matcha 3.5/5: It was okay for me. FOOD Taiyaki (12 pcs): - Red Bean (4/5): Filled with real red bean, which I appreciated. - Oreo (3/5): The filling was a bit dry. - Nutella (5/5): Really enjoyed this one. - Taro (5/5): I liked this one as well. Thai Chili Tuna Sandwich (3.8/5): Good overall, but I expected to taste the chili. Chicken Chimichurri Sandwich (4/5): I really liked this, but I wished there was more filling. The food is great for sharing, but keep in mind these are small bites, so don't expect a full meal. Overall, it was a pleasant first visit, and I would definitely return. It was nice to relax with drinks and snacks early in the morning while enjoying good company.
This is my first time trying tea again. I ordered a classic milk tea with boba. The tea a is flavorful and has been prepared/ steeped well. The boba is soft and chewy. They know how to make a good drink! I love this little plaza - I almost don't want to share this boba spot with anyone else. The shop is clean, well lit, and decorated well. The music they have playing is soft and pleasant. They have a variety of beverages and snacks on their menu. The workers are polite, efficient, and friendly. I can't wait to try more.
Stumbled upon this location while visiting trader Joe's in the same location. They have a great menu of tea options. My only issue with my choice is that it tasted a little bitter, as if the teabag were left in the water too long.i would try other items on another visit. A list of some items: Classic Milk Tea, Okinawa Milk Tea, Ube Taro Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea, and the refreshing Elk Grove Sunset.
Cute little boba shop. It's my first time here. I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte. It tastes as scary as it looks. The strawberry is way too thick, sweet, and strong. Got home and added milk to tone down the matcha and strawberry. I would never get this from here again, but wouldn't mind coming back to try other things. No comment on customer service. I didn't have a bad experience.
I popped in after shopping in the area, once again desperate for a cold drink (and my milk tea craving). First, Tea Again wins for best ambiance! It's seating area is adorable with little nooks and cute chairs, and exceptionally Instagram worthy. I ordered an earl grey milk tea with extra boba. The tea was very balanced and I could taste the floral notes, and the boba was perfect. However, I did pay for extra boba and the amount given was minimal. I was disappointed at the tiny serving especially since the balls were cooked so well. Note, it was delicious and I finished my treat quickly. I would definitely return as they clearly know how to make a good drink and there was some delicious looking concoctions on the menu.

Anyways they have kiosk to order from. Got the matcha banana latte as well as the taiyaki and I liked how you can get 2 and get 2 different flavors. I tried the Oreo and taro and both good. I really enjoyed the taro flavor it even actually had taro bits! Didn't take long to make either. They have lots of other drinks to choose from so will have to stop by this place again.
Such a cute place with tasty snacks. I found the place randomly, but I can totally see myself coming back time after time. I got a tea for sips and six piece taiyaki for snacks. Their taiyaki is so cute. I got three flavors Dubai chocolate which is a limited flavor, red bean and taro. The taiyaki is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Very tasty I like them a lot. Service is nice and pretty fast considering the snacks are made fresh. I also like the interior design. It's very cute and peaceful. Would definitely wanna come back.
Tea Again is a boba place that replaced Happy Lemon in the shopping area where HomeGoods, Daiso and Trader Joe's are located. Was excited to see a drink with kinako, the Kinako Matcha Latte, since I haven't had a kinako latte since I was in Japan. (Kinako is a roasted soybean powder.) The flavors of both the kinako and matcha were pretty mild in the drink. I think the drink tasted pretty milky/creamy over anything. Also, I wish they offered it in the large size as well. It's so a bit powdery, but as both matcha and kinako are powders, it's to be expected. Although not a strongly flavored drink, I found it refreshing. Ordered at the tablet and my drink was made quickly.

After our favorite Teacup closed, we are on our way to figure out our next boba spot. We drink at least 4 bobas a week, so it is a very important decision. We are still deciding, but this is one of them because of the red bean toppings. Service is fast if you are first in line. Seemed under staff otherwise. Drink is on the sweeter side. Ambience is nice, but again we always just do to-go only.
Sad to see Happy Lemon go, but hello Tea Again(: I was craving for some tarty drink on my errand run one day and thought, let's get some Happy Lemon. Upon arriving, to my shock, it was replaced by a new boba spot, Tea Again. Inside was bright, spacious, and cute cats and small plant decorations. There are plenty of seats and two big mirrors for those selfies ;) I was greeted and placed my order to the cashier. You can always order from the kiosk. Once you place your order, you can enter in your phone number and your name will appear on the display screen (see photo). My recommendation for that would be a bigger screen and maybe not too high lol font could be bigger! But you do get a text alert as well. My drinks came out fairly quick, and two people were working that day. First time ordering and got a complimentary matcha sample from the owner cause matcha can be a hit or miss for me. I really like their Kinako Matcha Latte. Not too earthy or bitter. Their bobas have a nice sweet chewy texture. We also ordered Thai Tea, Strawberry Matcha Latte, Jasmine Milk Tea w/Pistachio Cheese Foam, Sweet Rice Milk Tea w/Coconut. All their drinks were delicious! One gender neutral bathroom with a funny cat picture hanging on the wall xD and ample parking!
RIP Happy Lemon but welcome Tea Again! This spot is not my favorite. Both drinks we ordered were a miss: Mangonada slush: I could only really taste the chamoy-barely any mango taste. Super disappointing. Morning dew: Honey Dew, Lychee, Tea, Organic Cucumber. Tasted like cucumber agua fresca and was missing the honey dew taste. I barely tasted lychee in the drink. Luckily I added lychee jellies that made up for it. Overall the spot didn't really meet my drink standards! On the other hand, the shop is cute and theres plenty of places to sit! The staff were also super nice and efficient.

My friend and I stopped by Tea Again and both ordered strawberry matchas since that's usually our go-to drink and something we're always excited to try at new places. Unfortunately, this one just didn't quite hit the mark for either of us. The matcha flavor was very mild and almost tasted watered down. We both found ourselves wishing for more of that earthy matcha flavor to come through. The strawberry portion also wasn't what we were expecting. I tend to prefer drinks made with fresh or macerated strawberries, and this tasted more like a strawberry jam or puree. If that's your thing, you may enjoy it, but for me it just wasn't my jam. Literally. My friend and I also shared a chicken sandwich. It was okay, but nothing really stood out about it. I found myself wondering what type of chicken was used because the texture wasn't what I expected. It almost reminded me of either canned chicken or shredded rotisserie chicken, but I wasn't entirely sure. The café itself was pleasant enough, and there wasn't anything specifically wrong with the experience. We just both walked away feeling a little underwhelmed overall. Helpful tip: If you're a big matcha fan and prefer a stronger matcha flavor, you may want to ask if they can make it with an extra scoop. Unfortunately, neither the drinks nor the food really wowed us, and with so many great tea and matcha spots around Elk Grove, I'm not sure this would be one we'd rush back to. read more

The Dubai Chocolate Chewy Cookie was super indulgent. It had this rich cocoa-marshmallow exterior with a generous filling that made every bite feel decadent without being overwhelming. As for drinks, their new JPC (Jasmine Tea Pistachio Foam Coconut Water, organic) was incredibly smooth and refreshing. The jasmine tea flavor paired beautifully with the creamy pistachio foam, and the pink coconut water kept it light and hydrating. They have a kiosk to order on or you can order at the counter. I got the lychee peach slushie. It was alright. It was too sweet for me. The ice was blended pretty well and was not too chunky or sharp. They had a lot of seating and the space did not feel cramp or crowded. read more

Tea Again is the first place near Sac to offer Kinako (that I'm aware of) so I've been dying to try them out. Let me preface by saying: I like my matcha sweeter than my milk tea!! The real, high-quality, ceremonial matcha is too strong for me so I tend to get them sweeter. The 25% sweetness had me going, "Oh, this is for the REAAAL matcha enjoyers" because I felt like it tasted of dirt and grass LOL Wanted to come back and try their 50% sweetness to see if I'd enjoy it more, but this time I tasted mostly cream :( Not enough grass this time! My second visit in, they were very busy due to a youth basketball event, so that could possibly be why. Maybe I'll give it a third try?! Taiyaki is cute and affordable. Wasn't particularly a fan of their savory options (tangy pesto chicken and spicy ham/cheese) but the Dubai chocolate taiyaki went perfectly with my grass and dirt matcha latte LOL The Oreo taiyaki wasn't completely filled, but again, I'll chalk it up to them being busy with the youth basketball event The inside is super cute and I love the natural, wooden vibe. I was sorta hesitant to try this place out -- but I was glad that I did. Inside is clean and really aesthetic. Definitely a nice place for photos and hanging out. The employees are helpful and kind. You can also order on a kiosk if you prefer. I got a milk tea but I didn't really care for it because I ordered a more floral tea.. and that's not my preference. But that's my fault. The tayaki was really yummy! I would come back but I'd order better lol read more
Ok tea spot This place replaced the Happy Lemon that we used to go often. The inside ambience is very similar to the store before, just with different furniture. Still very bright and clean, which is nice. Drinks menu changed. Not as much lemon drinks to choose from. Mostly sugar drinks with lots of foam. Service is ok. Normal and friendly. Cost is slightly above average. Overall, an average OK place for tea. Not bad. read more

Cool boba spot that is cat inspired. Looks like they took over Happy Lemon spot. The decor is nice and the baristas were friendly This place stands out because of their cat paw taiyakis! Super cute and tastes pretty good. The boba here is also really good. I got a banana matcha and my gf got the okinawa. Pretty cool as they don't add extra sugar to the drinks and they recommend it on their ordering screen, however, you can add more sugar if you'd like. Love this convenient location near lots of stores!! They took over the old Happy Lemon location but revamped inside and made it much cozier. They really maximized the space with a lot more seating too! They have all your usual classic boba drinks here but also some unique combos like lychee peach, and my new favorite the Jazzy Limeade! It's so refreshing and reminded me of a Brazilian lemonade. That's not easy to find around here so I'm really excited they added it to their menu. It's a perfect summer drink! Service is really nice here and they move quickly. Considering they just opened, they really have a good system down and get drinks out fast! read more

I had a fair experience considering that it's the public soft opening period. Sweetness adjusting could use some tweaking. Ordered the classic milk tea and lychee bloom both at 50% sweetness. The classic milk tea tasted like it was at 25% sweetness and the lychee bloom tasted like it was at full sweetness. Otherwise, nice soothing tea taste and refreshing fruit taste, respectively. As for drink additions, the tapioca pearls had a great brown sugar taste to them with a satisfying chewy bite but were quite large, so much that some of them couldn't fit through the boba straw easily. Creme brulee topping had a subtle milky taste with bits of crystallized sugar crunch. I also ordered the paw taiyaki and it's best to eat them on-the-spot; after driving 15 min home the taiyaki ended up being soggy inside the takeout paper bag. The tapioca pearl one is one to eat just for funsies; not much of a coherent taste between the pearls and the waffle batter but ultimate chewiness. The Dubai chocolate one is a big letdown as there were only slivers of kataifi and a paper thin layer of pistachio cream. Bright interior with lounge-like seating. I'm hoping there is more presence of the cute cat logo in this space in the future! Ample nearby plaza parking (on the opposite corner of Trader Joe's and near America's Tires). read more

If you're looking for strong, flavorful tea, this might not be the spot. I've tried most of their drinks, but honestly, none of them really impressed me. The teas feel pretty weak--like they're super diluted--and they try to make up for it by loading on creamer and syrup. I wouldn't go out of my way to order their drinks, and I probably wouldn't recommend them to others. That said, the decor is beautiful here and definitely makes me want to chill inside. Their staff are super nice, too. There's usually one Asian guy (might be the boss?) who always greets you and thanks you for being patient. Honestly, the drinks don't take long to make, but the cat paw taiyakis do take a few minutes longer, so maybe that's what he means. Speaking of taiyaki--their cat paw ones are amazing! My favorite so far is the Dubai chocolate flavor. I still need to try the tapioca boba and taro fillings, but the Dubai chocolate stands out--so good and unique. Honestly, I think it's even better than SomiSomi's. The red bean filling is my second favorite; it's not the typical super sweet red bean paste, which I really appreciate. Overall, it feels like they put more effort into the decor than the drinks themselves. But if you're into taiyaki, definitely give it a shot! read more
I was right next door at GameStop on July 24 making a purchase and ask the individual helping me if they had been to the tea shop right next door. He told me that he had been there quite a few times since it open as he really enjoyed their tease and snacks. He highly recommended that I check out the place. So I went in and as I got to the counter I was greeted by a lovely person behind the counter. She gave me a big hello with a big smile and asked if I had any questions regarding the menu. I told her that yes this was my first time here and asked if she could tell me a little bit about the menu and some of the favorites that she liked. She pointed out the cold foam drinks were a big hit. I looked over the menu and saw one that had coconut and I will all for that one. I then told her that I wanted to get something with matcha and she recommended the kinako drink. As I waited for my two drinks I checked out the space and it was quite adorable. The cat curtain behind the counter was really cute, the cat mascot on the cups was adorable, and there are all these little fixtures and figurines throughout the shop that made it quite inviting. The space itself was very clean, right, and a good mix of people were coming in that were excited and having fun conversations and a few that work a little further in the back having softer conversations. So definitely a space where you can feel the vibe. If you are in the neighborhood, maybe getting your groceries at trader Joe's, come check out this place. read more

Welcoming, friendly service! Great variety of drinks and sweet bites available! The Dubai Chocolate Paw Taiyaki bites are delicious and the owner makes the Dubai chocolate pieces herself! Boba is soft, flavorful, and sweet. You can adjust the sweetness and ice level by asking. Every drink is made to order which is nice and despite the rush, everything came out together in a timely manner. Interior is beautiful, full of light, and a lot of space for seating and relaxing, and catching up! I look forward to going back and trying more! read more

Got the classic milk tea w/ kinako cream top and a strawberry slushie. The milk tea was okay and the kinako cream top didn't have as strong of a kinako flavor as I would've expected or preferred. Overall the drink was on the creamier side. The strawberry slushie was much too sweet for me. It came with half of an actual strawberry which was a nice aesthetic touch. If they provided a sweetness adjustment option that'd be awesome. Overall Tea Again has a really nice space for hanging out and even studying. You can order on snack pass which is pretty convenient. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. I didn't ask but having wifi would be a plus esp. since the cell service in the area is pretty bad. I'll come back again to try something different. read more
A new boba and tea placed just opened up where Happy Lemon was in the Trader Joe's shopping plaza next to game stop. I'm excited for a new place and so close to me. I've only been in a couple of times and ordered the same drink because it was that good. First off, let me just say the interior decor is so cute and welcoming. There's nice open seating and seating along the wall with partition for some privacy. I read the owners used to own a cat cafe and a bit of kitty decor is sprinkled in their logo and also their snacks. The drink I've been ordering lately is their Elk Grove Sunset. It is a passion fruit, orange and guava tea. I get it without added sugar and lychee jelly. There's still some sweetness even with the 0% and it's not bland or without flavor. I can definitely taste a little bit of everything in the EG Sunset. It is so refreshing to drink on hot summer days and has been my go to as of late. Will have to come back to try their snacks and also other drinks. They have 2 kiosks for ordering and if you have only cash, they have that option too but you'll need to tell them. Service has been great both times visited. I look forward to coming in here again as I love what they have done with the place and their drinks are delicious. read more

Came by to check out this new place at around noon on Saturday and they weren't too busy! They have QR code stickers at each of their tables for you to order online as well. They have 2 touch screen tablets where you can self order for cashless payments. I ordered the jasmine milk tea at 50% sweet and enjoyed it. I wish they had grass jelly as an option for toppings and oolong milk tea since that's been my new favorite. read more
I recently ordered from this tea shop via Snackpass for the grand opening today, and it was a great experience overall! The Jasmine milk tea itself was really good--it had a smooth, rich flavor even without sugar and ice, which is exactly how I like it. I had aloe vera as a topping. I also tried their bear paw cake with boba and taro, which did not disappoint. Both flavors are good. They used the real taro for the paste. It was perfectly chewy, just the right amount of sweetness, and so delicious that I'll order it again. Overall, this is a wonderful spot for tea lovers and snack fans alike. I highly recommend it. They have many staff, and the drinks are prepared fast, but it took a while to get the bear paw cakes ready. They have many tables and seats. read more
Visited this place during their soft opening, there's no signboard, we missed the spot and have to call them to get the exact location, they're right there with the huge sign of GNC We had Elk Grove sunset- passion fruit guava orange green tea, it's refreshing. We also have the lychee peach slushies, can't select the sugar level, it's too sweet for us. Taiyaki- red bean and Dubai chocolate, both are great especially the Dubai chocolate, it's dark chocolate and not too sweet. Overall it was a good experience except the wait for Taiyaki, we almost missed our next event. read more

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review, I really appreciate the follow-up and the offer to make things right. I understand that chamoy and tajín are bold ingredients and part of the traditional mangonada flavor profile. However, I've had my fair share of mangonadas from carts to storefronts over the years, and I've never encountered one that tasted quite like this. The sour, vinegar-like flavor was unusually strong and didn't match what I've come to expect, it really tasted like buffalo sauce. I'm glad to hear you tested the drinks again and found them tasting fine on your end. It's possible it was just a one-off experience but it definitely had nothing to do with my tasting profile as I knew what it should taste and straight spicy vinegar is definitely not a highlighted flavor of chamoy or tajin, and especially because the mango flavor was missing it really just tasted like buffalo sauce with sweet ice. Although I appreciate the offer to try again I just don't think it's worth my time. read more

Stopped by for a sweet treat, the vibes inside are very cute and chill. Ordered a jasmine Milk Tea w Rose foam (75% sugar) & Morning Dew (0% sugar added) both drinks were really good. Surprisingly, the morning Dew was sweeter the Jasmine milk tea, the suggested sweetness for the Jasmine milk tea with rose foam was 50%. IfI were to get the Jasmine milk tea next time, I would get 100% sweetness. I also got the Thai chili tuna sandwich and it was pretty good. I don't know what tuna they're using but that tuna was good. The sandwich and the drinks came out quick, I and could see myself coming here again. read more

Very cute set up. Couches booths chairs and coffee tables are aesthetically pleasing and inviting. The service is a kiosk. You order there and workers behind the counter make your order. I went in the evening and wanted some simple hot tea. After browsing the kiosk and finding nothing I asked the person behind the desk what was the hot tea options. They said they don't have hot tea at Tea Again. I am not the target audience. They have elaborate cold teas, foams, sauces, add ins and cold coffee. I found this place through yelp by searching "tea" and chose the nearest place. I was not ready for the options. I ordered a iced green tea. It was very sweet. The teen with me got a cold drink too. He said it was too sweet. So once again ill stay away because we are not the target audience. read more

Went on here desperately needed a boba drink. The workers were attentive and worked pretty fast. I got one of their lychee drinks. A tea with lychee jelly. Sorry forgot what it's called. I also purchased two Taiyaki Nutella and Dubai Chocolate. So good. It's a very cute place. I'm so happy. read more

I think Elk Grove is to the point where we have boba shops on every corner lol. I'm not complaining. But this place took over Happy Lemon and once you enter, you can tell that they spent time and effort into their decor and set up. They have nice couches and seating areas. It makes you want to stay a while tbh lol. There are 2 kiosks for ordering, which I'm a fan of. I like ordering at my pace and not feeling rushed. The drinks were made timely. I thought the drink looked pretty and aesthetic. The boba was good, and cooked perfectly. I would say, I don't know what kinako is, but I didn't really taste a difference when compared to other creams of other places. I don't know if the matcha was a standout compared to other places, but it was still good. I hope to return and try some of their snacks. read more
