Didn't wanna make a trip to Gunther's since we live in elk Grove so we came here instead, and I'm so glad that we did. They carry the mango guava and strawberry fruit freeze. The price is the same exact price as Gunther's for a medium. There are plenty of other dessert options that look really good, but we'll have to try next time. The lady who served us was very kind and sweet and informative.
Stopped by for something sweet. This was my second time here. Stopped in around 1pm. No one else was here & looks like they just opened as the lady was still just settling in like unloading her car & turning the ac on. I Ordered the black sticky rice with mango. It's a lot of rice. It was ok. I probably won't order this again. It took her awhile to make everything as she had to move her car after unloading & then took the next customers order. She's a one person shop & she does everything. Super friendly everytime. I really want to try their chili oil chicken dumplings so next time.
Ice Dream is a smallish restaurant/dessert place in a shopping center near Sheldon Rd and Bruceville Rd. There are only a few tables inside. They offer some delicious won ton noodle soup, hot oil won ton, congee, and other hot foods. Plus, they do a good job on desserts like mango with sago. Not an extensive menu but plenty to choose from for a light meal or snacks.
Stopped in for snack. The small shop was busy when we arrived. We ordered the pork wonton with fish ball soup and chicken dumplings with chili oil. Soup was flavorful. Dumplings were light and delicious. Ordered the egg puff ice cream cone and brown sugar milk tea with boba on way out. The young man who took our order was very patient and helpful. The woman who runs the shop was also pleasant
This local spot has a bunch of dessert options and even offer some hot food as well. They have alot of ice cream flavors on display and that is really their sweet spot. You can get them by scoop, sundae and even in a egg puff cone, which looked popular. I go for the Gunthers 50/50 as it always hits the spot. They have boba milk teas, and a bunch of other drinks, cold Asian dessert like sage and grass jelly, and hot dessert like sesame balls. They also offer dumplings and wontons, I tried the spicy wontons and they were pretty standard and the actual wonton could use more seasoning as it was all hot oil flavor. They were light and prepared well. The ladies working were very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to get something sweet and maybe something on the side too.
We came on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy as there was a big party in front of us. There were only two employees working, but they were very fast. We even had a chance to try out their ice cream flavors. We got the sago with fresh mango and ice cream for $10.50. They even gave us a bigger scoop of ice cream as we were waiting a bit longer than usual. It came out in a 32 oz container and could feed 3-4 people. It was so delicious and fresh. The mango ice cream complemented everything so well. Great service and prices, I will definitely be back!
Very clean, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were super nice. The ice cream egg puff takes 15 min to make but it's worth it because the egg puff was delicious. It was chewy and crispy. I like the ice cream too because it's from Gunther's. This place was busy and I can see why now. The milk tea was perfect too, definitely will come back here again because my daughter likes it.
This is probably one the best authentic Hong Kong/Taiwanese/Chinese or whatever you want to call it dessert. I know there are lots of South Sac eats, but this place is clean and have good customer service. Very chill vibes to drop by and enjoy a nice cool dessert during the summer time. I tried both the sago grass jelly and icy grass jelly with taro. Both were really good and hard to choose which one is better. Not too sweet, and the taro was freshly made with the red beans. It took a while to get the icy grass jelly with tari order, but I rather wait then get premade items.
Food: 5/5 the mango, black rice with coconut milk was so good! Rice was cooked perfectly and sticky, right sweetness with the coconut milk and mangoes were fresh. Service: 4/5 stopped in on a late Friday evening around 9pm. Was busy with a few groups seated, few DoorDash orders, and only a few workers. Was a little slow, but not crazy. Ambiance: 4/5 typical boba spot, tables along the side with an L couch in the front. Small spot overall.
Ice Dream is such a hidden gem. I'm so glad I found this spot through Yelp. It's tucked inside the Laguna Village Shopping Plaza, right between Cafe La Vies and Subway. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but that also means parking is a breeze, which I appreciated. When I walked in, I was greeted right away, and even though I took a while to decide, the girl working the counter was super patient and kind, which I really appreciated. Initially I thought I was just coming here for ice cream, but I quickly realized they offer so much more. From mango sticky rice and sago variations to dumplings and wontons, they've got a wide range of Asian-inspired desserts and savory dishes. I ended up getting: - Egg Puff Ice Cream Cone with Oreo Cookie ice cream ($10.95) The egg puff cone itself was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. I also loved that it's served as a bouquet. The presentation is fun and cute. Also the fresh-cut bananas and strawberries added the perfect touch of sweetness and balance to the cone. Without them, this probably would've felt a little too heavy for me. They get major brownie points for using Gunther's Ice Cream and fruit freezes, I loved seeing a local favorite featured here. Inside, there's plenty of seating and a few picture-worthy walls that would be perfect for an ice cream moment. I wanted to get a cute photo, but I didn't want to risk my ice cream falling out of the cone. Can't wait to come back and try some of their hot foods and sago desserts next!
Sooooo friendly! Just wanted some ice cream and was pleasantly surprised to see all the food options here! (There was taro ice cream!!! ) We need to come back and eat! A few high top tables and some couches in the front. Saw people order boba and some others making comments on the delicious congee. Next time!

One of my favorite spots for Asian-style desserts! They also have great savory options, which I love when I'm craving both savory and sweet. The service is always so friendly, and the lady who I'm assuming is the owner is always happy to give you suggestions on what to try. I've enjoyed every item we've ever ordered from here. There are a few tables and a couch area where you can enjoy your treats. My kids love the egg puffs and ice cream too! read more
Cute little place that serves Gunther's ice cream. Mostly other items are Asian desserts and dumplings. Ordered the egg puff cone, did take about 15 mins as advertised. It was yummy but the ice cream melted way too fast in this. Next time I'll get them separated. Looks like a family owned business with nice staff. Few tables to sit inside and chill. read more

My boyfriend ordered the banana split with cookie dough, green tea, and birthday cake ice cream. I ordered the egg puff with condensed milk and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. They do have the option to order the egg puff cone with 1 scoop of ice cream + bananas/strawberry, but since I requested to have the items packed separately, I was charged separately for items. All of their ice cream flavors were really good! I personally really liked the green tea and cookie dough ice cream the most. The egg puff was cooked perfectly; it was chewy in the middle and crispy on the outside. We sat at the booth in the front with the coffee table. The inside is small but it can hold around 14 people. Service was pretty good and quick as well. I would come back again! read more

My favorite go-to place for quick chinese/taiwanese comfort food and dessert. My regular will always be their porridge. Pork and preserved black egg porridge and vegetarian taro/corn porridge is delish! Chili wontons are a MUST. I never leave without their honey lemon tea. When I'm craving for desserts, their egg waffles are made fresh to order. The perfect crisp and sweetness. They also serve Gunther's ice cream and they are generous with each scoop. Mango coconut sago never misses. Come support our small local businesses. read more

We came back for some mango sago and mango gigi, and it taste good. Wished they offer more mango pieces but still good. Service is good too. Love how they added that Taiwan night market stand in the store for the waffle stand. Looks cool! Behind that stand at the corner there is an anime figure/card collection. When I walked in I was greeted immediately by two very friendly women! There were a few tables with semi High chairs .I ordered both the chicken and the pork and century egg congee because I had food poisoning earlier this week and it was all I was craving! Right after I ordered 3 parties walked in and it got a little busy, which after I tasted everything I understood why! The Lemon tea was gifted to me while I waited for the congee ( probably 10 minutes max at that point) and it was so refreshing! She said it was her favorite and it was sweetened naturally! Both of the congees were flavorful and nourishing! I'm just sad I haven't tried this place sooner! 10/10! Will be returning to try the handmade wontons and dumplings once I'm feeling better! read more
After dinner, we craved something sweet and found Ice Dream on Yelp, after ready the reviews we knew it would be good! WOW! This place is such a cute dessert spot with so many unique treats to choose from. I tried the mango sticky rice coconut dessert, and it was delicious, sweet and flavorful with every bite. My daughter ordered the egg puff with taro ice cream, and it was amazing! The egg puff was perfectly crunchy and fresh, complementing the creamy taro ice cream beautifully. We'll definitely be back to try more of their creative desserts. Friendly and amazing staff. Clean and inviting. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the mood for something special! read more

Why was this place empty on a Saturday???? I ordered the hot oil wontons and hot oil dumplings with noodles. DELICIOUS and cheap! $10 for 12 wontons or dumplings are a killer price. It took about 10 minutes to make... good food ain't instant! The location is small but still plenty tables and a cute little sitting area. They sell Gunter's ice cream which is such a bonus! I highly recommend we make this small shop excel and at least give them a try! They have plenty drink options, food and desserts. read more

Came in for a Saturday afternoon dessert. Mom got the Black sticky rice and mango with coconut milk, and I got the Sago with fresh mango and mango [Gunthers] ice cream. The owner cleaned a table off for us herself before helping another customer. The first item to come out was the sago with fresh mango and ice cream (you can pick any ice cream flavor, but I am willing to overdose on mango-everything in any form). This was a taller bowl than I expected, can easily be enough for two people or one hungry sweet tooth. The mango was fresh, sweet, and the sago were perfectly boiled and the ice creaminess was great! The black sticky rice was warm, with coconut milk and mango -- the tip for both of these desserts is to stir/mix it all up to get the best of every element in each spoonful! Other than ice cream and special desserts, they also have egg puffs/cones, dumplings, noodle soup, and milk teas! Located a few doors down from Cafe La Vies and Subway. read more

My new favorite dessert spot! Obsessed with their sago and coconut milk series. It's a bit pricey, but so good. They also have Gunther's ice cream, which is super convenient when I'm craving something sweet and high quality. Green tea and vanilla are my usual favorites, but I tried the red bean this time and it was really good too! Service is fast and chill. We like stopping by after dinner, and it's nice that they're still open after 9pm. The area feels safe at night too, so it's a nice spot for a late dessert. read more
Love this place!! Reminds me of all the amazing Asian dessert spots in sf. The mango sago was really good and the mango ice cream made it very creamy!! I also love the egg puffs here. Service was good and because there was no line the cashier made our order and brought it out right after we were done paying.
