    Crispy Rice Salad (Nam Khao)
    Katie C.

Large interior and parking lot. Stopped in after a recommendation from a friend and was pleasantly surprised. It's was a pretty busy afternoon when I stopped in but staff was still quick to take my order and answer all my questions. Everything was made fresh and came out hot. I'll definitely be back as there are more then a few items I would like to try.

I almost forgot about this place until recently. I wanted to serve simple dessert for Chinese New Year dinner and remembered their Mochi Layers because it's pretty on a plate! My goodness, it's been a couple of years since I last visited. I ordered online and was ready for pick up when I arrive. Easy peasy! The restaurant look the same with few tables for dine in. I need to make an effort to come back for lunch or dinner.

As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted. Super clean inside and the food was amazing. I got the lao sausage and Vietnamese coffee.

We came here on a Sunday to try some Lao food. They also have an extensive drink menu ( boba teas). We ordered 4 dishes: Papaya Salad ( Lao style) which was very salty, Lao sausage, Grilled chicken which tasted old, Laab which ended up being sold out. Not sure if this was an off day since they had good reviews but service was awful. Our food seriously took 50 minutes, almost an hour. Then they told me they sold out of Laab when they served us the food at the table. They didn't even offer water. It was unfortunate. People before me were waiting a long time for their food. Overall, food was 7 out of 10 and service was 0/10.

Pandan Coco Mochi. Has fried coconut flakes inside. Actually really good and savory

Visited the Cocomilk Cafe with a friend. First time visiting this spot and it is tucked away in a little plaza. The space is clean and well kept. It was nice and bright inside and decorated. They have a cool gashapon machine with several anime characters, like Pokemon, Hello Kitty, and Demon Slayer. Although it was sort of expensive, 15 bucks worth of coins which you can exchange at the cashier. They have it prepared in a cup for you, which is nice. The food came pretty quick and the food was simple and good. Nothing fancy. Just good and feels homemade. I got the grilled chicken platter and my friend got the heavenly beef with a side of the pandan coco mochi. The chicken was juicy and good and it was covered in a sweet sauce. My friend liked the heavenly beef. It wasn't dry. Each dish came with veggies, rice, and a small cup of like nuoc nam, which is sweet fish sauce with peppers. The pandan coco mochi was especially good. It had fried coconut flakes inside and tasted sweet and savory. Definitely a must try. They have way more desserts that I would come back for. Overall, this place was good and the food felt homey. The service was good too and the people are very nice and will answer your questions if you had any while ordering

    Crispy Belly& Laab

I had the crispy belly and I really haven't had good crispy belly and rice like that in a long time! Perfect crunch, flavor and tenderness. My wife had the khaopoon and said it was good but the broth was a little thick for her liking. Sister in law had the Laab like she's had before and no complaints! Delicious, place was clean and bright. Would definitely come back next time I'm around!

Cocomilk has cute desserts, and a variety of drinks. Located in a strip mall with ample parking. Great variety of food, desserts, and drinks at decent prices! I tried the Layers Dessert which came in a cute little box! Pretty good! It reminded me of the Vietnamese desserts but these were even prettier! Taste was as expected, and has a tapioca like chewy texture to it. And not too sweet. The laab was good too and came with sticky rice! The strawberry coco drink was fine, and also as anticipated! Service was nice and normal. Overall, nice to try if you're in the area!

The service and atmosphere was great. Quick ordering, food came out fairly fast, the music and feel of the place is enjoyable. The food was okay, we got the Nam Khao, egg rolls, Heavenly Beef, and Steak Laab which actually turned out to be chicken so that was a bit disappointing. They got my order wrong. The Jeow Bong is decent, a little sweet for me, and the 3 pepper I thought could've been spicier. Their drinks however are really good, we got the Strawberry Gem, Honey Dew Smoothy, Pandan Dream, and Coco Matcha. The Pandan Dream and Honey Dew was definitely my favorites and I don't really drink Boba nor Smoothies.

ABSOLUTE MUST-VISIT: Coco Milk Cafe If you love real flavor, bold spice, and soul-hugging desserts, Coco Milk Cafe is IT. I started with the Pandan Dream drink creamy, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. Then came the Thai tea boba, rich and smooth with that deep tea flavor that hits just right. Now let's talk FOOD. I ordered the Thai curry EXTRA spicy (because yes, I love spice), and wow... they nailed it. Not fake heat. Not bland "spicy." It was perfectly good and spicy flavorful, warming, and deeply satisfying. My friend had the Lao-style papaya salad, which is her all-time favorite, and she LOVED it. Fresh, tangy, punchy, and done exactly the way it should be. To finish, we had the warm coco boba, and honestly... it filled our soul . Comfort in a cup. I also tried the pandan coco mochi, soft and dreamy--and the sweetest surprise? The person working behind the counter gave us extra. That alone tells you everything about the vibe here. Service deserves a shout-out: The workers were fast, efficient, and genuinely friendly. No attitude, no long waits, just good energy and care. This is one of those places where: * the flavors are bold * the spice is REAL * the desserts feel like a warm hug * and you leave already planning your next visit Coco Milk Cafe isn't just food--it's an experience. Go hungry. Go happy. Go NOW

Such good food. We tried it catered at a party and the platters were very substantial and everything was so flavorful and delicious!! Already tried the kuih, which are these little coconut milk jello cakes and they were so pretty and so good!!

Fun place full of toys and colorful decor! Mango sticky rice with different color blocks of rice is delicious! We also ordered mini waffles with Nutella. They are kinda rubbery, especially if you don't eat them right away. The bahn mi bun is pretty good, but you only get one per order. Each time we've gone, there was no wait but the staff works slow. Also, some were eating behind the counter. Sanitary no-no.

This has become my family's latest go to restaurant. We're fans of the food and desserts. On our first visit, we got the crispy pork belly, grilled steak and steak laab for our entrees. The pork belly was deep fried to perfection, crispy on the outisde with the meat staying tender. I've never had laab before so it was a refreshing new dish for me. It was citrusy with some tang from the onions and little kick from the spicy pepper. After our meal, we ordered the mochi waffle and sticky rice for dessert. The mochi waffle was crunchy with bits of fresh coconut on the inside. The sticky rice was exactly how I liked it especially since the mango was nice and ripe. On my second visit, I got the mochi layers, coco taro cups and strawberry gems. The desserts with great but the drink not so much. It was too sweet and I wasn't a fan of all the toppings. Our family was in town which was an excuse to order almost everything on the menu. We got the pork tapioca, khao piak, laab chicken & steak, grilled chicken & beef, lao sausage and crispy belly. Every dish was a hit, with the standouts being the lao sausage, pork tapioca and khao piak. I'm glad my family is adventurous because I wouldn't have ordered those items. We finished up our meal with the mochi waffle. Cocomilk is located in South Sacramento in a strip mall away from the main section of Little Vietnam. We've never had parking issues. Service has always been very friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and the staff will bring it to you if you're dining in or they'll package it up in these cute bags for to go items.

    Jaane F.

We are here for lunch. The shop opened early, which is convenient. We ordered some of their lunch meals and desserts. We feel that their lunch meal is okay only--not to our liking. We did like their mochi layers and gem coco drink. Both were good, and we definitely will get back more of their desserts. The parking here is plenty. The staff here are friendly.

Their specials are also really good I love their asparagus and seafood special and the Rad nar is delicious too. This is the first time I've seen a male working in the kitchen. It's usually 5 to 6 females working their tits off. We arrived before they opened at 4 PM and were the second ones in the door. The restaurant filled up very fast and there was also to go orders and people were arriving waiting for seats or signing to take the food to go. I'm so happy to see this business is thriving. There, Tom, Yum and Tom Kay soups are absolutely perfectly flavored have a ton of chicken. If you order chicken, you can also order tofu or shrimp. The mushrooms are freshly thick cut and you'll find large pieces of cake for leaf and ginger and the soup so you know it's really freshly made. They can adjust the spice heat as to your preference and it really comes a little spicey hot, and you can ask for Thai hot but you might not be able to taste anything for a few days afterwards cause that is really hot . This time we asked for our papaya salad to be a little more than medium hot and it was super good made our lips burn afterwards but in a good way. Water is always filled great service. I'm not sure if management or chef has changed but their food is not what I remembered from years ago. We initially ordered their tofu pad thai and gai yang and immediately noticed how pricey their menu was. They have a wall of specials and I remember being shocked that their orange chicken was $24. I didn't mind paying more than what I was used to for my pad thai because I remembered their food was delicious but I was shocked when my pad thai came out. It was literally drowned in sauce and looked like it was a bowl of noodle soup. I was still optimistic hoping that it tasted better than it looked but it just tasted like sweet rice noodle soup. I was hesitant to bring it up to the waitress after two bites but so glad I did because I would have hated myself if I left without saying anything. The waitress was kind and offered to remake the dish. Instead, I opted for something else because I was afraid to be disappointed again. I ordered their tofu drunken noodles since I've gotten it here before and remember it being tasty. I confirmed that the drunken noodle was going to be a dry noodle dish and thankfully it was. It was good but not the best I've ever had. My boyfriend had their gai yang which is a marinated grilled chicken dish. He said it was pretty dry without the sauce on the side but the sweet chili sauce provided was pretty tasty. It's probably not worth $26 given the how dry the chicken was and he said he would never order it again. Overall, the customer service was great and portions were good. I had to deduct 3 stars from my previous review as the food quality has significantly gone down in my experience and doesn't justify the high menu prices in my opinion.
