5/17/26 My son wanted Matcha Maiko so here we are! Grabbed my usual boba sundae! Quick and easy yummy dessert! Hot day today so it melted pretty fast! Service was on point and ambiance is as expected.

This is a must when in Sacramento. Besides a long list of drinks they serve ice cream. Strawberry Sundae - the sweet level hits right Ube Soft Serve - Delightful to the cone Staff is accommodating and helpful. Parking lot is very busy. Found a spot at the dentist office in the nearby lot. Benches inside were available to sit and talk while eating our dessert. Could be busy but crowds clear out quickly.

I love Matcha in this place is a great place to go to for Matcha. We walked in and there was a worker at the front if we had questions there was a menu on the side of the wall or a kiosk to look at all the different items. The worker took our order quickly, and we had the Matcha with red bean and mochi. The little Matcha Café itself had beautiful paintings on the wall and was bright and vibrant. I really enjoyed my Matcha as it was a flavorful taste and didn't just taste like milk since it is a ice cream. I was worried that was possible. I would be back to try other items when we're not so full.

Lovely cafe in Elk Grove. Premium matcha for ice cream and drinks. Service was pretty good and price is decent. Don't forget to stop by if you in the area.

Japanese desserts are so delicious and my favorite place to get some is at Matcha Cafe Maiko! I have tried many different items from them because almost everything they offer interests me. I love their soft serve and drinks because it's creamy, has the right amount of tea flavor, and it is not too sweet! The item prices can range between $5-$10 depending on what you order and any special add-ons. Service is quick and the employees are friendly. The store itself is small, with limited seating, and parking can be difficult because the lot is small and it is located in a plaza with many other popular stores. I like the art mural on the wall and coming here always gives me relaxing summer vibes. I recommend getting soft serve in a cup so that you can enjoy it at your own pace without having to worry that it will drip and make your hands sticky. You can also get a soft serve in a cone and request for it to be upside down! Their black sesame drink is my personal favorite and if I am feeling fancy I will also get a matcha latte and mix it together.

My daughter has been begging me to bring her back here to get some matcha icecream. This place still hasn't disappointed me. The decorations are still simple and beautiful as ever. The staff are very welcoming. The desserts are delicious like they've always been. We'll be coming back when we want some matcha.

    Matcha adzuki sundae

Came in on a Saturday night, all the benches were full of people so I figured it must be good. I got the matcha sundae with adzuki in a cup. The matcha was good, paired with the sweet adzuki (red bean) and a couple mochi balls it was decent. Not too sweet & not too bitter. If you plan on coming with friends (as I did) be mindful of the little space to sit. They had tables but they were laid up so no one could use them. Overall, good experience but wouldn't go outta my way to visit again.

This location of Matcha Cafe Maiko does compare well to the other locations! My friend and I stopped by here on a weekday evening, and there were plenty of people who came by as we enjoyed our dessert within the cafe. I tried their vanilla and matcha soft serve. The matcha's deep and earthy flavor complemented the light and creamy vanilla, and the portion size was generous for a dessert. My friend got their Matcha Tea and commented on the strong taste that he loved of the matcha. Love this place and its numerous locations for a clean and refreshing dessert!

    Maiko special with matcha-vanilla swirl

Maiko special with matcha-vanilla swirl: very good! We could taste matcha flavor in the soft serve. The vanilla swirl gave a bit of sweetness to the ice cream. The crunchy corn flakes were perfect. The adzuki beans at the bottom were perfectly paired with matcha flavor. They gave a lot of jelly pieces but I only got 1 piece of chestnut and 2 pieces of mochi balls.

Haven't been here in awhile over 3yrs. Thought I'd give it another try. Stopped in for a strawberry matcha. It was good. Stopped in around 3ish & it was busy. Staff were ok. There's benches to sit but not a lot of seating. No tables. Just order and leave to enjoy your drink. Not a place to really sit and hang out.

    Banana Matcha
    Alexandra G.

My friend took me here on a Friday afternoon, and I'm so glad she shared one of her favorite matcha spots! She ordered her normal, matcha cheese foam. I got the banana matcha. Both drinks were absolutely delicious! You can really get the taste of the foam and the banana. It was so creamy and tasty. Not a place to sit down and drink though. They have benches to sit on while you wait for your order. But they have the chairs stacked on the tables, so it doesn't look very inviting.

Great menu options, great customer service, easy to find parking, and best of all, great matcha! Not sure if I would get the maiko special again because I didn't like everything (chestnut & the jelly stuff) but I was very pleased with the quality of my dessert & matcha very nice atmosphere as well

I feel like an idiot. I just ordered a drink with shiratama mochi (4 to be exact) for the first time. Do these mochi dissolve in the drink because I did not see any mochi in my drink?

I don't think the mochi would've dissolved in the drink. The workers might've just forgotten to add them.

Be warned, their Vietnamese coffee is very strong. I don't mind it though, and it's quite smooth. Most recently I had their ube cream coffee and that was delightful. There was plenty of ube cream, and once that was mixed in with the rest of the coffee, man was that delicious. I've taken my husband and a good friend of mine to Tram in the past and both of them enjoyed the drinks they chose as well. I have yet to try their matcha but my friend said it was great. Wushiland Boba is my new favorite spot for boba in Sac!…read more I found out about it from a recent Feed Mei Mei YouTube video, and of course I had to check it out asap. I looked up the origin and it turns out Wushiland is a spin off from the Taiwanese boba chain 50嵐 (if you speak mandarin, it says Wushi Lan). Located on Sutterville in a tiny strip mall with minimal parking right next to the Freeport area where there are plenty of good eats, some of which are my favorite places in Sac to eat at, Wushiland is in an optimal location. Bright, clean, and with a decent amount of seating, you have the option to order from kiosks or up front at the counter. The AC was blowing cold and a nice respite from the El Niño heat. The workers are friendly and drinks are made quickly. Be advised that the drinks are voluminous, especially if you're like me and ask for less ice. Coming from someone who considers Chicha San Chen their favorite Taiwanese tea chain (but alas we don't have it in Sac), the difference in quantity is huge. Obviously if you're looking for a refined style of tea chain, Wushiland doesn't compare, but still the taste of their teas shine through and there is a good variety for everyone's palate. The first time I tried their earl grey tea because I have been craving an earl grey for a while, and that was deliciously smooth. The mini boba were so fun to chew on, and I usually prefer them over the regular size. They provide a ton of boba here as well. The next time I had their yakult green tea and that was very refreshing indeed. Both times my husband went with fruit teas, and had nice remarks to say about both of his drinks. He also tried their new QQubes and their texture was very QQ (I had a sample). We will most certainly return to Wushiland, especially since it's so accessible. Prices are standard, and honestly for the amount of tea you get, it's very worth.

And you can get an extra shot of tea if you want your drank strong. Prices range from $5.25-$7. I've tried the roasted oolong milk tea and the grapefruit green tea and they've been on point. I usually get them both at 50% sweetness. Another thing they offer here that some other shops don't have are the mini boba balls. My friend ordered the uji matcha latte macchiato with the mini balls, and he wanted another one to-go! The shop is a tad small and cozy(ish) since the seats and tables are close together. The theme is very colors of a bee; black and yellow. There's a long bench with cushions so it's a good place to sip and chill, and people come here to study it seems. Ive been here a few times mainly on a Saturday and all 3x it's been busy. They have 2 kiosks you can order from, or you can order from a human. Wushiland choose a good area of Sac to post up shop because it's the currently the only boba drink shop (for now) near Hollywood Park/Land Park and very close to Sac City College. They're located in the corner of a strip mall type plaza. And parking isn't too bad. Overall, good drinks for a reasonable price and service is decent. They have a fun logo, too. I would definitely come back here to try more of their drinks!

While I was in Sacramento, I happened to spot a BAMBU in the plaza and was genuinely excited to grab some drinks. The shop itself is fairly small, with limited indoor seating--about five tables in total. Unfortunately, the dining area wasn't very clean. Tables weren't being wiped down after customers left, so new groups would simply sit at dirty tables without anyone cleaning them in between. The menu is displayed overhead. You order and pay at the counter before waiting for your drinks. Our group of five ordered five drinks, and while the selection was great, the prices were on the higher side. When our order was ready, it was disappointing that we had to ask for basic items like a bag for the drinks and spoons. These weren't available for self-service, so we had to request them. The elderly gentleman helping us seemed visibly annoyed by the request, which left a poor impression. It's the small details and customer interactions that can really shape the overall experience. As much as I love BAMBU as a brand, this particular location fell short. Between the unfriendly service, lack of attention to cleanliness, and higher prices, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit the Sacramento location again.
