Avoid this location if you can! We were getting gas and decided to go inside and get breakfast since the drive thru line was ridiculously long. We were relived when we walked in and there were only 2 ladies who were together, waiting to receive their order. I just knew that placing the order and getting food would go fast. Wrong! First, the employees were so preoccupied with the the drive thru, I stood there for at least 5 minutes before anyone came to take my order. Second, when I finally placed my order, it took an additional 15 minutes to receive my food. I kept asking about my order and the lady who took my order just kept apologizing saying it wasn't ready yet. Meanwhile I watched as they served guest after guest in the drive through. Finally got my food after 30 minutes total (and it was a simple order- 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 hash brown and 1 orange juice). The restaurant was clean inside and the people were nice enough, it was the long wait time that brought their rating down. I've been to this McDonald's so many times because it's next to my house. But this was my first time being inside. It's nice. It had big kiosks to order food. There is plenty of seating. Very good lightening inside. The service is fast and got out orders out very quick and affordable especially since we use the points in McDonald's app to get a free vanilla ice cream cone. Avoid if you can! Location: Off the freeway connected to a gas station . Parking is decent. Only issue is that the car wash is right next to this location and it is very easy to mix up the entrances for the drive through. Interior and exterior are pretty standard modern McDonald's facade. Service: This place constantly has long lines and serious accuracy issues. On one occasion we had a mobile order and checked in. When we arrived to the front they did not have our mobile order and tried to say we did not order. As it turns out the person in front had mistakenly claimed our order. Thankfully they had not left yet. I literally had to get out of my car and talk to the person in front. I resolved it with the person for the receipt and explained it to the staff. This is just terrible service and your customers having to get out of their car and approach another customer to clarify if just terrible service. Food: Pretty Standard. I went to another McDonald's 15 minutes before and received a Diet Coke instead of the regular Coke I ordered. No big deal, I thought--I'll just pop into the McDonald's at 8361 Sheldon Rd. and have them correct the mistake. How hard could it be to swap a drink? Apparently, **impossible**. When I politely explained the situation to the employee, she flat-out refused to swap the drink. I offered to show my receipt, proving that I had just ordered a Coke, but she didn't care. Her excuse? "This is a different store, we can't do that." Really? It's a fountain drink. The same machines, the same company, and yet, somehow, this simple request was beyond their capability. My go to McDonalds in my area cause it's the closest to where I live. It is situated around the AM/PM gas station and car wash. It's actually one of the more decent McDonalds to go to. Been here a couple of times and they do get busy a lot so they tend to make mistakes on your order. So always check your order before you leave for take out. I pulled up into the drive-through people were sitting at the drive-through for at least five minutes each. I made a mobile order . The people in front of me were waiting for at least five minutes to get their order in. I timed it got up to the front window. First window gave me zero receipt pulled up to the second window. The person in front of me got the wrong order. I pulled up and she did not ask me that the mobile number she just gave me what she thought was the order it was wrong then I said I need a creams in that coffee and she gave me back a cup over full the lid wasn't on and it proceeded to spill all over me very hot coffee all over me down my shirt on my pants everywhere gave it back to her and said oh no no no no this is not gonna work then they didn't have my order because they didn't know that I was a mobile order Pulled around to the side to park. This particular location have a habit of not fulfilling my complete orders or giving me condiments that I paid for or that's free. I always use the mobile app to track my purchase. I ordered cookies with the order yesterday - I didn't noticed it was missing until I got home. While I was leaving the drive thru, I was so focused on them not giving me a straw for my blueberry icee and my 3 sauces for my 20 piece chicken nuggets, that I totally forgot about my cookies. The previous time they forgot the hash brown with the breakfast meal I ordered and the ketchup I requested through the app. Another time they forgot one of my McDouble even though I ordered 4 of them. It was dark winter night, as the storms were brewing and the winds were blowing across Sacramento. The lights turned off in the McDonalds and the drive through lights were out. We were trapped in the drive through with our orders placed and darkness in front of us. We honestly were shocked by the fact that lights went out in while we were in the drive through. Uncertain what to do next, Carl came to the rescue. His flash light was shown out the window and he illuminated the drive way and he asked us what our order was. We felt safe and secure as he asked us for our order. We told him what we ordered and he provided everything we requested and even an upgrade with a large fry considering the circumstances we were in. Overall, this McDonald's is great! After a delightful experience at Sheldon Wine Shop, my wife and I were in dire need of some naughty fats. Thankfully the McDonald's located within the Ampm lobby would fulfill our needs. When we entered we were warmly greeted by Sidel. Since I was buzzed from our wine tasting experience, I thought it would be hilarious to ask Sidel if there was a vegan friendly version of the McRib. Sidel immediately began trying to think of an alternative item that could meet my faux vegan diet demands (now that's good customer service!) I usually don't write reviews for huge chain restaurants; however, I couldn't resist the urge to highlight an example of good customer service. On a different note, I couldn't believe that my 17 year old self thought that the McRib was delicious; I guess our taste buds truly change over time!
