Waffle Farm has always been a favorite for breakfast and we've been coming here when they were Waffle Batn. We recently tried them for lunch and they didn't disappoint! I got the famous taco salad and if you're a fan of the taco salad that use to be served @Taco Bell, then this is up your alley. The cheeseburger was decent, it didn't have onion but had lettuce and tomato. Now Waffle Farm is a winner for good ol hearty country breakfast and we've tried many of their dishes. But highly recommend stopping here for lunch as well. The service is top notch, hardly a wait....and food is fantastic!

Nice, cozy, well furnished breakfast and lunch cafe in Lincoln. Best place in Lincoln for breakfast that I have visited so far. Good eggs, good bacon, and good service.

Decent stop for a weekday breakfast. It wasn't crowded for a mid-morning meal so we were seated and waited on promptly. I like that in addition to an extensive and varied menu, they have smaller portions for children and the 60+ crowd. We had the single Egg Benedict with hash browns and the special of the day egg-bacon-scrambled egg sandwich (like a grilled cheese on toasted bread) with hash browns. Both were tasty although the hollandaise sauce was a little runny. The hash browns were not greasy and I liked you could add your own salt and pepper, which were needed! The space is simple with farm type decor (of course - it's a waffle farm!) - nothing upscale but functional.

We came her for a late breakfast in between basketball games at the nearby Hardwood Palace for my 3rd graders AAU team. The place is a clean, simple, diner style restaurant. The server took a bit of time to get to us and take our order. The food came out pretty quickly and tasted very savory. I really enjoyed my corned beef hash, eggs, and hash browns. My wife thought her waffle was ok but I thought it tasted great. Definitely worth a try if you would like a hearty breakfast.

Service - Everyone was friendly Ambiance - casual dining, breakfast, and lunch only. Large patio but no flowers, and no umbrellas is a minus. It is like they do not use it, a mistake as many of us prefer open dining. Clean and open, huge 10-person booths a plus for families and groups. Food - ok, better than IHOP or Denny's. Too much gravy IMOP, so get it on the side. Good gravy. Hash browns taste like slight grease vs. Butter fried. When I did line cooking, we had real butter melted in a stainless steel bowl for slopping on the grill for eggs and potatoes. I'm not sure they do that here. Cherry (commercial canned sweet) Waffle, of course, it was good. French toast could use more vanilla and maybe a touch of cinnamon, but good.

My friends met up with my boyfriend & I to get lunch and were seated right away. Our awesome server was TINA!!! I capitalize her name because one of my friends at our table got her name wrong, SHAME ON HIM, lol, but she was an amazing sport about it. The restaurant has a country feel and it very wide with many tables through out. We ordered pretty quickly. The boys got a Patty Melts, while the girls ordered a California type of burger (comes with avocado, lettuce, but got spinach instead, tomato, spinach and I switched out for shredded jack cheese) and Joes special (spinach & veggie scramble with house potatoes.) We ordered crispy fries with the burger & patty melts. We chatted until our food came out. My California type burger looked nice, except it was a frozen patty. I had requested it to be cooked meduim rare... thank goodness it came out overcooked, but it was not even good. You shouldn't do that with frozen patties. There was no flavor. There was hardly any avocado, and the fries weren't crispy. None of our fries were crispy. The party melts were meduim well instead of medium rare. My friend Joe's Special had hardly any spinach. Potatoes seemed undercooked to her. She got a biscuit & gravy side with it... I think they're trying to give that gravy away by the plate full because, as usual, the biscuit was so disguised under the gravy, you wouldn't know it was there. None of us wanted to complain because it was edible. The salt & paper shakers were clogged. The table was sticky... it was kind of a mess today. I did like how nice TINA was. She is a great server. Maybe next time will be better.

Looking at all my favorite deli meat options, beef, pastrami, ham, etc. I was "good" and headed for the vegetarian options. They have salads too. I selected a Deli Veggie Sandwich on my selection of marble rye bread and pepper jack cheese. That was $10.99 which these days isn't that bad for a sandwich. At the last minute before checking out I added the macaroni salad. For $3.69 it was tasty enough but a bit overpriced when you can get much more for slightly more in price at a nearby supermarket, if you want to make an additional stop. There's a small parking lot in back, which is convenient. The place is kinda cute on the outside as it looks like a small, simple shack. Inside the place is rather dark and dismal so I wouldn't eat there. There's a small outdoor eating area as well, and although rather exposed to the elements it might be a better choice than indoors if you plan on eating there. The staff were efficient enough, and more matter of fact than friendly in their greeting. It was pointed out to me to get the macaroni salad out of the self-service refrigerator. Now I know the drill in picking up a take out order. The sandwich itself was quite good. All of the ingredients were fresh and crisp. It was nicely prepared and the bread was also fresh and delicious. I was pleased with the size and tastiness. They have sandwich size options too. I'd go back when a sandwich craving hits. Overall, except for the physical appearance of the place, it's not that bad. Putting it in perspective it is a sandwich shop after all. Overall, I do recommend it.

Excellent sandwiches and even better service…read more While the BLT on wheat with NOS Sauce was ridiculously good, the real highlight of my visit to the Sandwich Spot was Tim, the owner, and his genuine, exceptional customer service. We came in on a Saturday night with about 20 minutes until closing and were hoping to eat in the shop. Given the timing, I was fully prepared to be told that dining in wouldn't be possible or that the kitchen was closing early. Instead, Tim welcomed us in without hesitation. He enthusiastically shared his sandwich recommendations, let us sample the signature sauces, and explained where he sources his fresh ingredients and why that's important. During the meal, Tim treated us to extra chips, let us try their pasta salad authentically crafted by a 92-year-old Italian woman, and shared how he strives to make sandwiches with the same level of care his grandma showed when making them for Tim as a boy. I left the Sandwich Spot that night supercharge and thrilled knowing that there are still restaurants in my area operating the old-fashioned way. It's clear fresh sandwiches and excellent customer service are important to Tim and I can't wait to go back!

I love the bread but most wouldn't because of how dense it can be and sometimes annoying to eat, not a bread you just wanna eat on for a quick bite as it takes a lot of chewing. The sandwich and chips costed $17.15, great/fast customer service, and a clean shop.
