The sandwiches always hit the spot and the service is always great and friendly. Go to place for a quick bite in the area and emits a friendly neighborhood vibe.

BLT on wheat with NOS sauce.

Excellent sandwiches and even better service. While the BLT on wheat with NOS Sauce was ridiculously good, the real highlight of my visit to the Sandwich Spot was Tim, the owner, and his genuine, exceptional customer service. We came in on a Saturday night with about 20 minutes until closing and were hoping to eat in the shop. Given the timing, I was fully prepared to be told that dining in wouldn't be possible or that the kitchen was closing early. Instead, Tim welcomed us in without hesitation. He enthusiastically shared his sandwich recommendations, let us sample the signature sauces, and explained where he sources his fresh ingredients and why that's important. During the meal, Tim treated us to extra chips, let us try their pasta salad authentically crafted by a 92-year-old Italian woman, and shared how he strives to make sandwiches with the same level of care his grandma showed when making them for Tim as a boy. I left the Sandwich Spot that night supercharge and thrilled knowing that there are still restaurants in my area operating the old-fashioned way. It's clear fresh sandwiches and excellent customer service are important to Tim and I can't wait to go back!

    #5) Chevelle spinach wrap

Amazing food and service, the super nice and helpful employee I think her name was Olivia had me try the spinach wrap. It is now my favorite go to sandwhich! The decorations and festive music were on point for the holidays!

Hungry for pastrami. That's what I was thinking over what to have for lunch. Saw on Yelp that this was the closest to my house and decided on it even though it's a chain. The place is on a complex where we frequent. It's located on the corner of Sunset and West Oaks Blvd in Rocklin. Nobody was in the shop when I came in, so I breezed through ordering & paying and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. Not enough for photos, but I did get a nice tidbit of information that they will be offering Sactown 's own Gunther Ice Cream next week. I'm so excited about that, and I failed to take photos of the flavors they were going to serve. Upon reaching home, I took photos of the sandwich (camera eats first) and consumed half of it. The choice I got was the Touchdown (hot pastrami) in toasted Sourdough with all the veggies and Ghost Pepper cheese. That's right, ghost pepper cheese. It just had the right kick to it without the obnoxious spiced out reaction after. Coming back for sure.

The Pastrami Shop was roughly 7 miles from home, so it was worth the short drive. The place is right off Sunset and Whitney Blvd in Rocklin. It's a very small place so ordering to go is popular. But if you find a seat, definitely enjoy the local vibe of the regulars and talk with the owners for a bit. They really are passionate about their business, and serving their customers. I really enjoyed my half hot pastrami classic sandwich. The bread was toasted, mustard, provolone, and a side of pickles and jalapeños. Boy was it good! I really should have had the full size. Give er a shot if you're in the neighborhood. You won't regret it. I'll definitely stop by again. Loved it.

It seems devoid of product, somewhat disheveled and disorganized and lacking any substantive character. The place appears very 'long in the tooth', and no food products were evident anywhere. Added to it, no customers, yet some came later. Yet, I was hungry and stayed. To be honest, glad I did. They sell essentially one thing-PASTRAMI, and that's it. Well, indeed true to the restaurant name. Again, everything is basic! I opted for a Classic Pastrami Sandwich and was given the option for bread, I chose a soft roll, and provolone for cheese, plus mustard. At $22. for a sandwich, well, I had some hesitation. The place is apparently owned and run by a charming older couple who really are out to please, very friendly and congenial. I felt like I fell into an old Russian Jewish deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, no frills. Basic, but good food! OK, the Pastrami and the entire sandwich were AMAZING! The quality of the meat was top notch and quite good, probably some of the best around. The sandwich was HUGE and enough for two meals. I was offered peppers on the side and it was perfect for me to add some. The sandwich was nicely warmed/toasted, the cheese melted perfectly and it wasn't a difficult messy thing to eat as are many more upscale sandwiches and burgers these days. So, in the end it was worth it. The sandwich was indeed a surprise and excellent. Plus, they checked after I bit into it to be certain I was satisfied, with a smile. I got some chips and a drink and ate it there. Plenty of napkins were provided. Located in a rather funky 1960s shopping mall it's small, not that easy to find yet parking seems OK. Albeit it somewhat pricey the food is very good and the value is there. If you want Pastrami then this is the place. They sell bulk packages of it too. Try it. You might be as surprised by it.

Prices are very reasonable and they even have an option for a half sandwich/side combo. I always get a Dutch crunch and I normally eat through the pain of the hard crust on the top that hurts my mouth. But here, the Dutch crunch is incredibly soft and fresh, not hard at all. It had the texture of a fresh light crouton. My sandwich had a lot of meat on it, and the veggies tasted extra fresh. I could only eat half my sandwich, but the second half I saved for a snack later on in the day and it was still yummy. The turkey chili they had on special was so smoky and flavorful, definitely worth a try. A couple small things I noticed and very much appreciated. If you order for here, they will put your food and sides on actual plates with real silverware. They don't just wrap it togo like any other sandwich spot would do regardless if you are eating it there or not. They also immediately give you water cups without requesting one, they are actually full size cups and not the small 6oz children courtesy cups you would normally get. They also let me sample the turkey chili and macaroni salad before committing to a full size order of it. It's the little things like this that leave impressions, aside from the delicious food. Unfortunately this spot is quite the drive from my house, but if you're in the area doing some shopping, they are a must try!

I typically like picking up produce last so it's on the top of my cart/basket so I ended up heading back that way at the end.
