    Brunch
    Annette H.

Came here for dinner 5 years ago and was not impressed. Recently, some friends mentioned coming here for brunch so we checked it out one weekend. It was great. Took my mom and she loved it too. So much so, she's brought HER friends to check it out too, and of course, they loved it! I think what set our brunch experiences apart from the dinner experience was we come on weekends when a lot of the college students are off campus or go elsewhere for meals. As a result, it's nice and quiet (as opposed to 5 years ago when I wrote about how noisy it was). Pricing for brunch is great. AYCE brunch for $11-12! Fresh salad bar, fresh fruit and yogurt, hot breakfast items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cooked-to-order items like hamburgers/cheeseburgers/quesadillas, hot foods like chicken parmesan and noodles, soups/oatmeal/chili, desserts like muffins and soft serve with toppings, soft drinks and more! One of our favorite spots in the past was Fresh Choice, Sweet Tomatoes, Souplantation and Sizzler's salad bar. Those are all long gone so we've really wanted a place we could enjoy a salad bar. This place is it. Everything is so fresh and clean and neat. They even post their menu online! Just be advised they close for summer break (I think this year it's from April 29 to August). But it's definitely become one of our favorite weekend brunch spots.

Fun place to come for brunch!!! It's about $11.50 per person after tax.. I loved their salads, always fresh. They have a few selections of breakfast items and del serve waffle stations . The place is like a cafeteria style and looks so spacious and super clean.

A friend and I went here for the first time and we had a great time! It was nice to see all sorts of people in there and I love buffets so it just made it that much better! Their food was good and the salad bar was fresh and looked like it belonged in a magazine! Now I just need to find a day I can take my hubby here for lunch when they have the nachos and burgers!

Glad my friends invited me to come here for brunch on a Saturday. Located around the corner from the arena. Pretty good ayce brunch for $11-12. Plenty of seats to enjoy brunch and chill. They have eggs, bacon, and tots. You can order burgers from the grill. The second time I came here, they were back ordered on chicken fingers and some of the other grill items were out later in the day. I enjoyed their waffle maker, coffee, and soft serve stations. We enjoyed their salad bar, which has plenty of fresh ingredients. They have an area to return your cups and plates when you're done. Unfortunately, they will be closed for summer break until Aug. Definitely will check it out again after the break.

After hearing good things about this restaurant, we tried the Crossroads Café. It is located within William Jessup University. This establishment is available to students, faculty, staff and the "public" for lunch and dinner. This is an all you can eat food arrangement for a very surprisingly reasonable price. The restaurant offers three large and distinct food stations One of these is a brick oven, artisan style pizzas stop. A variety of toppings are made available. Another is the salad bar filled with fresh, local ingredients and an expansive deli / panini section. There is also a soup bar. The grill offers large, temptingly fresh menu items including ... basic burgers and fries. The décor is upbeat, and the student body help provide a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Give this place a try.

Located on the campus of William Jessup University, Crossroads Café is truly one of the hidden gems of Rocklin. The menu changes daily and offers a wide variety of cuisine; American (Traditional/BBQ/Comfort Foods), Thai, Chinese, French, Italian, and much more. The courteous floor staff, amazing cooks, and delicious food makes for a very memorable experience.

Hmmm... I came back to update my review and noticed it's no longer here... let's just say that since I've discovered this place about 4.5 yrs ago, I have been back many many times. You just can't beat the price and get fresh cooked meals and/or very healthy options if you choose to...as compared to say... fast food places. I've recommended to friends and family. There's a "farm to fork" area which consists of a salad bar, a few choices of soup and deli area; oven baked food area where they serve pizzas, the grill area if you like burgers, chicken tenders, and fries; the "Gobal" area where they serve cultural foods, and my fav...the "fire and ice" area where you load up your bowl with vegetables, choice of meat and sauce then the cook will stir if up for you. Make sure to check the daily menu online, they have something different each day. Self serve drink stations and dessert area. Pick up after yourself and take your dishes to their designated dish cleaning area, dump your leftovers in the trash and put your dishes in the conveyer tray. Best of all, it's All You Can Eat. There's a lot of seating area; I even forget sometimes while I'm there that I'm in a college cafeteria.

    Baking yummy pizzas!

I'll go check it out though, because I door dashed a matcha and it was perfection. I got a strawberry almond milk matcha with an extra shot of matcha and it was delicious. 100% on the sweeter side (not obnoxiously sweet like boba, but they have a sweeter hand) so ask for less sweet if you like a more mild sweetness. The bag they delivered it in was so fancy - a closed branded drink carrier, and the matcha quality was high quality. The strawberry flavor was real, not artificial, and there were little strawberry chunks that I loved. I downed this drink happily! Edit: I came in person and they have a self service kiosk and someone to help if you call for it (such sweet staff). They indeed have no tables to work at - they have 2 seats and a bench to sit at while you wait! Matcha the second time was just as good as the first, oh lord. This time I got the marshmallow brûlée with torched marshmallow and I drank it in 5 minutes it was so Carmamel-y and rich. This time I got it less sweet and, because I have a sweet tooth, I would do regular. I actually don't die for marshmallows but I ate all 3 because they tasted like rich brûlée perfection. Can't wait to come back again (my boyfriend is jealous)

The interior is small but clean and brightly lit. The coffee is good but weaker than I expect when getting Vietnamese coffee. It is phin dripped, and the classic flavor is there, but less creamy texture. Traditionally the brew is very strong and mixed with condensed milk only - the ice in this instance is necessary to balance the boldness. In this coffee, between the added milk and large amount of ice, it is watered down and not the full bodied experience you would expect. Overall still a good cup, and probably the best you can get in the immediate area, but not wholly satisfying if you are seeking the traditional Vietnamese coffee flavor.

The food didnt take too long and haven't had any awful experience , though there was one time I asked for a medium well steak but when I got the food it seemed more rare if anything. Still the food was good enough for me to wave that one mishap off. The prices are what you expect out of a casino and doesnt exactly match quality of the food but if youre in thunder valley and just looking for a good spot to settle away from all the lights and not wanting to break the bank even more but don't want the food court options, Id say the thunder cafe is a decent option.

Finally! A cafe inside of an office building - can it get any more convenient for us cubicle folk?!…read moreI rarely take a lunch because I don't want to hop in the car to pick up anything. Now, I can simply walk through the building and pick up great salads and sandwiches!! They just Grand Opened on 03/02/2020 - met the owner, super friendly and nice. Her brick/mortar location in Sacramento recently branched off, away from "La Bou" and has now become her own... what does that mean? A lot of their menu items are familiar to La Bou... baguette... dill sauce... YES!! Yesterday, I got the sandwich/salad lunch combo for $11.85 - Salami and Cheddar sandwich with Chinese Chicken Salad. She suggested to pop the sandwich in the microwave for a few seconds to take the chill off the bread. Worked like a charm. They have the little condiment packets on the back counter (mayo, mustard, butter, plastic utensils, etc). It's a lot of bread to filling ratio, but to me, it hit the spot. Your combo even comes with 2 slices of bread - yum! Today, I got the roast beef and again chicken salad. Definitely love the amount of roast beef in the sandwich! $11.85 for a sandwich and side salad is very reasonable to me. Can't wait to try all of their goodies, smoothies, etc. *Note this is a business office cafe - so, no seating - the cafe is pretty much all to-go. Everything is freshly made in the morning and transported over to the cafe from their brick/mortar location - so yes, some items do sell out.

I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them.
