I have been wanting to try Toastique in Rocklin and my first takeout experience was great. I was greeted immediately upon walking in, and the worker handed over my order right away. The restaurant itself looked very spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. As for the food, my avocado smashed toast with a poached egg was incredibly full of flavor, and the Tuscan tuna toast with a side of hard-boiled egg was delicious, especially with the balsamic vinegar adding a great extra kick. I was in the mood for something a little lighter and came across Toastique. It's tucked in the back of the shopping center. The directions drop you off around the corner. I thought they were closed but saw some movement inside. I then realized I was coming between lunch and dinner so it was probably just their slow time. Walked in and instantly felt at home. The vibe is very fresh and vibrant. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Toast and Detoxify juice. It has a to activated charcoal, coconut water, lemon and agave. Both items were fantastic. The price, however, was not fantastic. I spent $27 for these two items. I know there is justification because everything is fresh but it will definitely give me pause to consider coming back in the future. I know these kind of prices are becoming normal. My friend showed me a video on IG so I wanted to try it. My friends and I went on a Sunday early afternoon and it was busy. The staff seemed overwhelmed and our orders came out so slowly one by one. I was worried my toast would get soggy waiting for all of our orders to finally come out but it held up well and I liked the toast. The Tuscan Tuna Toast didn't look very appetizing at first but it actually tasted pretty good. I also appreciated being able to find nutrition info online. The wooden board presentation was cute and everyone enjoyed their food. Main downside is it's pretty pricey. Treated a friend here for her birthday, and it was a first-time visit for both of us. From the moment we walked in, Alexis was incredibly patient, welcoming, and attentive. She walked us through the ingredients, answered our questions, and even let the birthday girl sample some of the pressed juices. My daughter had the açaí bowl and it was one of the best she ever had, loaded with banana and granola and a nice big hefty serving! The toasts are served on nice little cutting boards and gold silverware is available. So the vibe is there. I was brought back to my Newport Beach days haha. Like I said, I had the smoked salmon toast. I added marinated tomatoes to it (they give you a choice between fresh or marinated). I would 100% do that again, great addition. I'm not much of a smoked salmon/lox person typically, but this toast was incredible. The salmon is crusted in pastrami spices and it just has a great flavor. Everything on the toast worked so well. Customer service is insanely good and food choices are plentiful (which makes it so hard to choose!). Portions were huge and everything was extremely fresh. We also took the small elixirs to go - one for detox and one for vitamin C. I was really disappointed with this location. Toastique is one of my favorite places so I was excited when I found one in Rocklin. Unfortunately both my items were a let down and not made as they should have been. My gluten free bread was mushy, not toasted in the slightest. And the iced brew smoothie which is my favorite thing was just watered down and had no flavor. Besides that, the location was nice other than a few dirty tables. That was surprising since the owners or management seemed to be at the location. I had to wipe my own table down before having my brunch. I had the Acai smoothie bowl, and it was delicious. It comes with a variety of fruit and house blend granola, as well as cacao nibs, which I had never tried before but really added a sweetness level to the whole dish. The bowl was a little frozen, which made me think it came pre-prepared, but as I got into it, the better it tasted. I went with my grandmother, and she had the Avocado Smash and she said the avocado was creamy and "seasoned to perfection" and the whole dish looked gorgeous with the watermelon radishes while the bread was toasted well and not soggy. She also noted it was filling and instantly craveable" We each got drinks, I tried the Cure Cold Pressed Juice. While it wasn't my favorite drink ever, I finished it all and am curious to try one of their other 8 juices. My grandma sipped on a latte- and said it was hot and creamy, safe to say she had no complaints about her meal. It is also a gluten free and allergy friendly cafe, so don't let that deter you from eating here. While it was a delicious brunch and the menu offered a wide selection of food, it was an expensive brunch. It cost $50 for those four items, and we didn't have many things on the menu lower than $13. While it is expensive, the quality of the items make up for it. Compared to other food chains, the food feels more homemade. For pricing and quality, I give Toastique 4 out of 5 stars. In our experience, the staff were kind, and came around the table to ask how our food was. The food also came out in less than 10 minutes. For customer hospitality and service, I give the cafe 5 out of 5 stars. Beyond pricing and service, one of the most noticeable features about Toastique was its focus on health. The cafe offers wellness shots as well as everything on the menu being relatively healthy, making it appealing for people looking for healthier food choices. For the healthy food, Toastique receives 5 out of 5 stars for me. Overall, Toastique is a great place for anyone looking for good food or a nice place to sit down. Although it is a bit pricey, between the quality food like the delicious avocado smash, welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff from when you first walk in to checking on the table, it's a café worth visiting.
