Us 2 humans and our 3 Labrador retrievers are here for breakfast. We sit on the benches under the grape pergola. It's pretty funky and dusty. The garden area is not well groomed. The picnic tables and benches are so old that the wood is shedding lots of splinters. Is this part of the charm? I tie the Labradors to a post of the pergola right next to me and fill their big doggy bowl full of water. I order the Big Garden scramble egg plate. Barbara gets the two over easy eggs with bacon. The routine is to order at the counter, get a pager and wait just 6 miutes for the food to be ready. No table service. Carry you own food to your table (In my opinion this warrants no gratuity. I don't tip at a fast food joint that doesn't have table service. Why should I do it here? But I'm sure that Barbara did pay a tip.) The food is decent, not great. Home made tasting. Portions are plenty big. Prices are average. Same level as Mario's Early Toast. Though the food deliciousness is far better at Mario's. We enjoyed the outdoor dining space. There's a big bluetooth speaker on the patio that's playing fairly loud 1970's pop music. Get rid of it. It spoils the tranqulity. Came. Saw. Ate. One and done. No need to return.

The overall tranquility of this place is normally here but this time sitting outside with our breakfast we were blasted by a huge speaker spewing out 70's and 80's hits. Way too loud with diners to enjoy the peace here. I also leave here each time thinking "do the owners and wait staff really care?" I now know they are all very "so so" about how they treat their customers. Service is minimal, yet they ask for tips on their bill and payment system. I do give small gratuity, but perhaps if they actually served their guests, it might go over better. Food is always just "ok". Place is looking very rundown to me as well.

The space was very nice. I really like all the different seating options inside and outside. It didn't take long for the food to be ready. The panini I got was good. I wanted a chai iced tea but they were sadly out, so I got a lemonade instead. I would get the panini again if I ever drive through the state again.

I LOVED everything about this place! Who knew?! I had no idea this darling cafe / gift shop / wine tasting was tucked into Loomis! We went for brunch but will definitely be back when the flowers bloom and to wine taste. Walk up counter, great selection of food. Counter service was great and made great recommendations. So cute! Food- Breakfast is good. We both enjoyed the breakfast, though it took an hour to get it. Breakfast for 2 with OJ and hot chocolate was $53. Lunch sandwiches have barely any meat, really pathetic from all the people around me and thiercomplaints. 4 Latina ladies near me all got the wrong orders, as did others nearby. 2 of the ladies waited 2 hours for sandwiches that looked like they came from a vending machine. I saw others returning sandwiches and something that may have been a wedding soup. Service - counter order, they page you for pickup. Ambiance - late winter so plants just budding. Everything is under maintained inside and outside. Pond, I thought it was a mossy field till I saw the aerator which is not sufficient obviously. Water wheel at one time was likely ok, now it is all rotted. Outside the decomposed rock is overdue for additional inches and some mud is present at the outside tables. Oranges in the orchard are moldy and rotten laying on the ground. A real shame, as while starving today waiting for food, we took one off the tree and it was delicious. The ladies next to us turned around with the aroma and loved it vs. their lunch. Kitchen floor is black and kitchen is nasty with food on the floor and many health violations IMOP (I worked in restaurants and the ladies next to us owned a Carmichael CA restaurant too). I normally look at bathroom and kitchen if possible before eating, if I had, we would have walked out. Other customers stated the bathroom was nasty too. Sorry, just bring your own food to the winery next door and get 6 tastings for $15 each with a nice outdoor space with gas firepits. They welcome you bringing sandwiches and such and hanging out at the small winery. Wanted to have a good experience, did not happen. Staff are all great, but a 4 burner stove and kitchen the size of a medium home kitchen for 100 guests is not enough... and nasty.

One of my favorite spots to come on the weekends! There is so many lovely spots to sit outside by the pond, with a wine tasting room and cute shop on site as well. At the cafe you order at the counter and then get a text when your food is ready for pickup. I always enjoy getting the charcuterie board with the pomegranate mimosa. Definitely a must to come with family and friends, and it's also pet friendly!

Came by for a bite to go before a hike, waited 20+ minutes in line and another 20+ for the food to be finished. Ate it 2 minutes later when I got to the trailhead. Food was just kind of ok, I got the chorizo burrito and the chorizo came in a few large chunks. Salsa was flavorless - and it had a huge chunk of tomato taking up half the plastic container. Potatoes could have used salt. I do like how they grilled the outside of the burrito, that's an interesting touch on something so simple like a breakfast burrito. The egg was also completely surrounding the inside wall of the burrito, meaning an equal amount of egg in each bite which was really nice. I'd be interested in coming back to try more of their menu. A very intriguing spot for sure! Not worth the price or the wait for the burrito however.

What a neat little restaurant to visit. The location is tucked away by little country roads. It's a beautiful place to enjoy a delicious brunch by a little pond and under a trellis. The food is amazing and fresh. We ordered a citrus salad and a breakfast burrito. The portions were plentiful and we were able to split our orders. Definitely plan to go back for more!

Flower farm cafe, so cute and cozy. Such an amazing way to spend a morning/ afternoon. Quiet and relaxing outdoor space. Coffee and food was great. My husband got the lox bagel with a hot latte. I got the BLT and added avocado. I also got an iced vanilla latte. Everything was amazing. We sat by the little pond and it was so fun watching the ducks. Service in the cafe was ok. The woman who took our order wasn't very friendly but the younger woman who came a bussed our table was very sweet and kind. Overall we as a pretty great experience and I would come back.

Ordering was quick and easy, and there was a great selection of lunch items. We had the cheese board and the turkey avocado sandwich with salad--everything was fresh and delicious. I also loved that the café is right next door to a winery, which makes it a perfect stop for lunch. Would definitely come back!

Ambiance is 10/10, the venue is a little small so seating is limited, but we came in right at 12pm on a Saturday so I'm guessing it's the busy time. Ordering was quick and easy at the register and they give you a buzzer so you know when your food is done. The drinks were sweet and delicious, I had a Chai and my husband had apple cider. The food was great. I didn't have high hopes since I discovered this place through tik tok but the flavor is as good as the plating. Overall we had a great experience for this hidden gem. Also there's wine tasting, a gift shop and some great hiking nearby so you can make a whole day out of coming here.

Loved this little place. I had a full conversation with the cashier about wanting half the milk in my late and then it came with full milk so i asked another person if it was possible to have them add a shot " if its not strong enough " so then she went on to tell me how much milk the late usually has etc etc and i rold her i already knew because i did my homework before ordering so i may need them to fix their mistake! In the end she agreed if it was necessary and i just walked away but it annoyed me. $75 for two breakfasts, two coffees and a juice Excellent place to eat outside when it's not a million degrees outside *not much vegetation but they easily subbed the burrito with avocado which i appreciated read more

I might have just been really hungry at mile 68 on a bike ride but Flower Farm Cafe came and saved the day. This spot seemingly rose out of nowhere on Folsom-Auburn Rd after miles of country roads. A little oasis on a grueling ride. The salty potato carbs saved my bum. I struggled to scarf down the breakfast burrito though. The meat inside was kinda dry and I was distracted by potatoes. I'll need to come back to give it a proper try. It was pretty cute. It had lots of bike parking. And the potatoes were delicious. Service was fast, especially considering I was kinda delirious and we needed to keep moving. There was only one bathroom though. read more

I came here with my boyfriend and we ordered a matcha and a chai. My boyfriend is color blind and he asked which one is the matcha. The lady was so rude about that question. She looked at him like he was stupid. And slowly said "that one because is green." She was so incredibly rude about it. I've come here for years but this experience really left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Sunday 3/29 @ 9am... great location and relaxing setting, but the counter employees are consistently apathetic, and robot like. Annoying to order a few breakfasts (which is not cheap here) with coffees and ask for a small drip cup to go as a refill and get charged full tilt (~$6) again. For a self service set up where you pick up your own food and bus your own tables, this seemed in poor taste. I'll never understand businesses that want loyalty, but try to shake the nickels out of your pockets (after you already spent $50 there 30 minutes earlier). Air pot drip coffee costs about $.30, and $.20 of that is the cup! read more

I'm not sure what the hiring criteria is here, but it seems like "actively dislike customers" might be at the top of the list. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels less like hospitality and more like you've interrupted the staff during something far more important than running a restaurant. No greeting, no smile--just a collective vibe that your presence is somehow an inconvenience. The servers and hostesses consistently come across as irritated, impatient, and generally unhappy that anyone showed up at all. Dining out is supposed to be enjoyable, but here it feels like you're being tolerated rather than welcomed. The food is pretty good though! read more

What a pleasant place to eat. The service is quick and friendly and with the ambiance of an orchard, eating here is a real refreshment to the senses. The BLT I got was really great but the side salad was just okay. The drink was good as well. They have fresh pressed juices and a great coffee selection! read more

Ok I'm sorry I didn't take any pics of the drinks I ordered but this place is SO FREAKING CUTE. I could NOT get enough. The actual cafe is adorable, I got a raspberry matcha, which I didn't particularly love, but it was well done and I think that was just my personal taste. My bestie got a mocha and it was very tasty. The banana bread was FIRE! And the cashier lady was very sweet and all the employees were very helpful. After our drinks we meandered the grounds and it literally felt like a fairytale. We will be coming back in spring!! Also just be warned, they don't have wifi so not an amazing study spot but no big. Their food looks so good I will be returning to FEAST!! read more

Not only did you need to order your food and then pick it up in a cramped quarters... the prices are astronomical! For one mimosa was $16 and it was less than what a normal champagne flute would be. My sandwich was soggy, and the service was not great. I will not be returning. read more

Very strange place, has unbelievable potential but is very disheveled and not very well taken care of as far as the property. The employees were nice. The food was good. The orange juice was terrible. With a nice facelift that really wouldn't cost too much and if they turned it into a full service restaurant it could be a gold mine. Went to Flower Farm Cafe on Valentines Day 2026. Arrived with two hours to eat before our plans in the afternoon. Spent 15 minutes in line to order. Waited 30 minutes for two very simple drinks, a chai latte and an arnold palmer. After returning to our table on the patio we heard murmurs from other patrons about long wait times and poor service. Out of all the occupied tables outdoors there looked to be one or two that had actually been served food at a given time. We waited on food for another 30 minutes before asking staff how much longer it would be. We were told another 20-30 minutes, which was more time than we could afford. After hearing this, we inquired about getting a refund. Luckily they were agreeable and moved us to the side to wait another 10 minutes so they could discreetly hand us our cash back. Overall we wasted an hour and a half, got no food, mid drinks, and had to continue our day hungry and tired from the lack of service. Very disappointed, will not be returning. read more

What a wonderful surprise in the middle of nowhere! Although their system is more like self-service, they do come around to clean your plates and such. They are very nice. Their french toast was amazing....I love the thick bread slice they use (what I am used to in Japan). Their BLT was lacking flavor in my opinion. Kids bagel was not really kid size or price but the cream cheese they use is so creamy and tasty. I would definitely come back here again for their french toast! read more

Terrible! So disappointed as it was recommended to us. Bacon looked like it has been reheated and had a funky smell. Two spits of butter and jam- like the whole restaurant is trying to "stretch"! Chicken pesto salad sandwich was made from the cheapest chicken "parts" the pesto tasted like Mayo only. Coffee was bitter. I would only go back if I brought my own lunch as the location is darling. While visiting from out of town we met family here. The story behind this place sounded amazing but when arriving we were confused as to where the cafe etc was. Not enough direction. Online prices were different than when we saw menu. So disappointed in what we got for a 20.00 sandwich!! Not good!!! Food needs big improvement! Saw no chickens, no garden. TEA TIME: has to be reserved ahead of time. It's for groups of 2-20. You pick 2 teas, 1 baked good, dressing for salad, and a small snack. This doesn't sound like a lot but it was. I had to take some home. - Jasmine and Chai: both was good. They give you plenty to drink. My sister and I do monthly brunches and though as of late, it hasn't been inconsistent due to logistics. She suggested we come here and it was such a perfect, gem of a spot. The cafe was charming with inside, outside and under the vines dining areas. The menu has something for everyone from breakfast to lunch and mimosas, beers and coffee. I had a scramble with potatoes and coffee....did not disappoint! The weather was cooperative and we were able to sit under the trellis of vines. It was so nice to see families, couples, friends out! When we came, it was pumpkin season and an event happening at the barn. There is wine tasting here as well as diy classes. Service was great! History

Established in 2006.

The turn of the century Bed and Breakfast (late 1800's) is the original farm house that now operates as the Bed and Breakfast. John and Annie Bowler bought the property and with extreme detail and craftsmanship revived the property. They added the cafe, three cottages, and a completely renovated Barn that is available for events up to 240 people. The nursery is open every day with winding paths to stroll on just outside the mill house. And coming at the end of November 2012 will be the wine tasting building with Le Casque Wine at the helm!

When we arrived, we were seated quickly with no reservation and no wait, which was the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. Our server introduced himself, but communication was difficult throughout the meal. We ordered drinks and asked for a few minutes to review the menu. When we asked what the soup of the day was, he initially told us clam chowder, then immediately said he needed to go find out. More than 10 minutes later, he returned, and when we asked again, he admitted he had forgotten and left once more. After another lengthy wait, he finally informed us the soup of the day was split pea. We then attempted to order a pizza and were told that pizzas could not be ordered until 10:30 a.m. At the time, it was only around 9:30 a.m. I decided to order the Peach & Prosciutto Flatbread appetizer instead, only to be told that couldn't be ordered either because it was made in the oven. None of this was communicated when we were first seated, nor was it noted on the menu. It makes little sense to open at 9:00 a.m. while offering guests a menu containing multiple items that aren't actually available for another hour and a half. Had this been clearly explained from the beginning, it would have saved a great deal of frustration. By this point, I was hot, irritated, and no longer interested in ordering food. Had we not already received our drinks, I likely would have left. The other members of our party ordered the $21 breakfast burrito and the $25 smoked prime rib sandwich. Both were extremely mediocre for the price. The burrito was wrapped in a corn tortilla rather than a flour tortilla, had already come unrolled, and quickly became a messy, difficult to eat disaster. The prime rib sandwich was served on very dry bread and lacked flavor. Neither dish justified the premium pricing. The dining environment was equally disappointing, there were flies everywhere. We spent much of the meal swatting flies away from our food and ourselves, making it nearly impossible to relax or enjoy the experience. Management should seriously consider addressing this issue with proper fly traps or Quikstrike. After our food arrived, our server never returned to check on us, ask how the meal was, or offer water refills. When the bill was finally brought out, we waited another 10+ minutes before he returned to process payment. By then, we simply wanted to leave. What was most noticeable was how many people were waiting for tables while service moved at an incredibly slow pace. Faster, more attentive service would have allowed tables to turn over more efficiently and reduced wait times for other guests. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had here. Between the poor communication, lack of attentiveness, unavailable menu items, mediocre food, uncomfortable dining conditions, and excessive wait times, the value simply isn't there anymore. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed. The service we received warranted a $0 tip, and for the first time, we're questioning whether we'll ever return.

We invited friends and family for an afternoon tasting, grabbed lunch from the café next door, and expected a warm local winery experience. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing tasting room visits we've had. The biggest issue was the complete lack of hospitality and awareness toward an older woman in our group recovering from knee surgery. There was no accommodation, no concern, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Instead of any table service or attentiveness, we repeatedly had to get up and walk inside the tasting room over and over for every single pour. By the end of the tasting, we got more steps in than a cattle drive. The two ladies working behind the counter looked like they were counting the minutes until closing time. No smiles. No energy. No effort to educate us about the wines, engage with guests, or make anyone feel welcome. We honestly felt more like an inconvenience than paying customers. I've seen friendlier expressions on bulls during branding season. What makes this especially frustrating is that the tasting room wasn't even busy -- there were maybe three other couples there besides our group. This wasn't staff being overwhelmed. It simply came across as lazy, disengaged, and rude service. The only thing flowing less than the hospitality was the wine pours. What surprised us most is that we've visited several other local wineries in the area over the years and have consistently experienced warm hospitality, friendliness, and genuine customer care. So this experience really stood out -- and not in a good way. Usually wine country feels welcoming. Here, we felt like a herd that wandered into the wrong pasture. Such a shame because the location and concept have so much potential, and we really wanted to support a local winery so close to home. Sadly, our guests left just as disappointed as we did. Not only is there a lovely nursery (High Hand Nursery) with gorgeous plants, there is also a cafe (High Hand Cafe), a market place area with different shops, a brewery and this awesome High Hand Olive Oil Company. Located in the market place building, is this wonderful little shop where olive oil tasting is encouraged! There are sooo many flavors of olive oil such as garlic, lemon, orange, rosemary.... The list goes on and on! They also have a huge selection of balsamics as well. Again, every flavor you can possibly think of! Since I came here right before Christmas, the oils and balsamics made perfect gifts for the cooks I know in my life. Fun place to hang out for a couple of hours for sure! This is one of those places you visit and wonder why you hadn't visited sooner. There is so much going on at this property, and the cafe is usually my first stop at the Flower Farm. I get coffee and sit outside with the plants and trees. There is a bocci ball court if you feel like playing. The nursery and gift shop are fun to browse around, and I love getting my fairy tale pumpkins here. I fill up a little red wagon with pumpkins and vegetables to plant and pull it around. You can also walk around the property and see the gypsy chicks, the cutest little chickens ever, and just enjoy the scenery and outside air. Love this place. read more

No need to go to Napa...the Flower Farm Coffee House is like Napa come to you! The grounds are amazing, with a seasonal produce cart (with prices posted and an honor box...love that!) a scenic pond, orchard, chickens roaming about, a cute gift shop, a bocci ball court shaded by a grapevine arbor (!!), a picturesque old pickup next to a garden...it kinda goes on and on! The coffee is smooth and fresh and the eats are tasty. An hour chilling on the deck or in the garden, with something fresh to eat, is food for both body and mind. read more

We love coming here for breakfast when the weather is nice and we can sit outside. This place has an ideal outdoor setting with a pond, bocci ball court and a sandbox for the kids. Our kids get bored in restaurants but not at The Flower Farm. Our favorite items are the cornflake encrusted French toast and the strawberry shortcake. The owner with grey hair and a bad attitude, the man that is apparently owner, came over to us and starting treating us horrible and threatened me and my family to leave the property or he would call the cops, just because we wanted to take a couple of pictures before enjoying the food. What a cute place! Everything is pretty much outdoor. You have to find your own tables after ordering in the front. Food is pretty good brunch food. We've only been here for the brunch. Location is tucked away hidden in the middle of nowhere, but I guess it's not a bad thing since weekend, branches are usually packed. It's a good place. read more

One of my favorite coffee houses of all time. Beautiful atmosphere and great outdoor seating. Lattes are perfectly brewed every time. Great place to hang out for hours and relax or meet up with friends. It's also a popular spot for road bikers to gather before and after rides though the foothills. read more
