I have been meaning to try this place out but being on a constant diet bc youre a fat bastard makes it difficult. Seeing as how its bulking season, I finally had a chance to give it a shot and boy am I glad I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is probably my new favorite breakfast spot. Its not perfect, but its still great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We got the Cooter's benedict...which isnt really a Benedict but more just biscuits and gravy. The sausage was surprisingly hand made! I couldn't believe it. Usually most places just give you pre-made Jimmy Dean's type of sausages. My wife doesnt like sausage in general and she actually loves the sausage here. The country potatoes are something that I skip almost everytime from every single breakfast spot, but for what is probably the first time ever, they were actually seasoned! Whatever person thought that just putting oil, onions, and bell peppers in a pan for a few minutes and the serving it should be castrated. The plate could have used more gravy, but the biscuits were so fluffy they basically fell apart and weren't dry and hard like some places. And you know how some places charge to split a plate? Not here! We also got the stuffed French toast which was just as great. The toast wasn't too eggy, plenty of scratch made whipped cream, and weren't skimpy on the blueberries either. Also wasn't overstuffed where all you could taste was cream cheese. I did try the homemade looking jam, but I would say its a bit concerning. I cant imagine them cleaning out the container after every table leaves and you never know what type of person before you is in the jar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, this is the new default breakfast spot for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

C & c Omelet with country potatoes is delicious!

My client and I needed some delicious brunch after running errands all morning and she told me to pick where we should go. After a few minutes, I drive us from E. Roseville Parkway & Douglas, all the way to Granite Rock Grille in Rocklin because I remembered how delicious my last visit here were. We arrived at 1 p.m, an hour before closing and we sat at a large booth right away. After being served waters, a server came by and took our order. My client ordered a Denver Omelet with country potatoes and rye toast off the senior menu. I ordered a C & C omelet with country potatoes with a biscuit & gravy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While we waited for our food to arrive, I admired the American flag mural on the wall. It is cute and country in here and I absolutely love it! Even the bathrooms are painted with a country theme![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food arrived and after snapping a few pics, I noticed the biscuits & gravy was not hot on my first bite. So I skipped that until our server came back. She got me a new one right away. The temperature was better, but it felt like they only warmed up the gravy. My C & C Omelet comes with 3 eggs, mushrooms, spinach, bacon, cream cheese and regular cheese. It was honestly the best tasting omelet anyone has ever made for me! The cream cheese was weird, but in a good way. It did have a sort of dry edge on one bite, but otherwise, it was a perfectly fluffy homemade looking omelet. The country potatoes are red potatoes with bell peppers and onion. Delicious! It was a lot of food for us. My client took home one of my biscuits and half of her brunch as did I. We had great service and delicious food... I think we are going to make this our spot!

French Fries, milkshake

the food here is absolutely amazing! the fries were perfectly seasoned and the milkshake tasted wonderful--way better than others i've had and the presentation was through the roof. chayo/rosario aided our server in serving us, and it was amazing! so sweet and everyone kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]very old fashioned vibe, but those who come here frequently love it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] overall great :)

I have to come to Rocklin a few times a year for work. I always wanted to try this place, but never had time. But this time I did! I got there really early and was seated immediately. The woman who was there was nice and very attentive, she was also hella patient with me while I was staring at the menu. I ended up getting the omelet and biscuits w/ gravy. The food was good and I was way too full. I should have not eaten that before a full day of work. lol. There's parking on the side and the decor is hella Americana which was cool.

Why is iced tea better with an iced tea spoon? Why??! I don't know, but it is. Something about vigorously stirring in the sugar makes it better. This is a great breakfast place. It has good value senior options for senior family members. I always get the veggie omelette and it's very good. Big iced tea around, large portions, GREAT service. One star off for the flies. Terrible last time, only a little annoying this time, maybe they are solving the problem. I recommend!

Heard about this place awhile ago but finally got a chance to try it. Arrived around 11 am on a weekday. We got seated immediately and there were lots of open tables. Came with a friend. I ordered the chicken fried steak. My friend got a side of corned beef and a cinnamon roll. Portions are large and a good deal for the price! The corned beef is fresh rather than canned which is great. The cinnamon roll I massive and the size of the entire dinner plate! My chicken fried steak was crispy and cooked well. I ordered a biscuit with it which was also twice the size of a normal biscuit. The menu is massive. The servers were attentive and I would return to try other foods.

I had a wonderful omelette for breakfast. It had plenty of the right ingredients and the potatoes were tasty. The staff was very busy, but their service was attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great atmosphere for a family breakfast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sat at the counter and felt right at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I ordered lunch today from Granite Rock Grille via DoorDash. What I received was good. My Lexi's Tuna Stuffed Avocado was fresh, large and well packaged. The Tuna was tasty, and it complemented the rest of the Salad very well. It consisted of lettuce, hardboiled egg, red onion and cabbage, radish and croutons. I will order again. Cost competitive.

We tried almost all the specials, including cioppino, a peach, garlic bechamel, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic pizza and chicken parm and enjoyed everything. The chicken parm had the right amount of breading- was lightly crispy on the outside with tender meat on the inside. The pizza had that farm-to-fork fresh flavor and the house ranch was a nice accent. The cioppino looked inviting and was nicely seasoned and flavorful. My friend thought the rosé sounded good so we ordered 2 glasses. Our awesome server told us they have a Wine Wednesday deal, so we ended up ordering the whole bottle and it was fire; we agreed we'd order it again. They have a nice room in the back for private parties or for anyone wanting to look at the beautiful landscape behind the restaurant and the whole restaurant in general is a nice setting for dinner or drinks (they have wine, beer, n/a and soju cocktails). Parking-wise, they share a private parking lot. Cheers!

Prices are a bit on the higher side, but their happy hour menu is a bit more standard/reachable for a casual night out. Beers and cocktails are well made and delicious/refreshing. Q1227 easily became one of my favorite dining experiences in Sacramento…read more We started with the lobster bites and broccolini. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

When we arrived on a Monday, the restaurant wasn't crowded, so we expected attentive service. We were seated, our server came over for drinks, and we let him know we were celebrating my aunt's birthday. This restaurant usually has a nice way of acknowledging birthdays, so we were looking forward to that, but it never happened. We ordered the lobster bites, and they were outstanding as always. My mom, who is allergic to seafood, started feeling a little nauseous from the smell and asked our server for some lemons. He walked away, and we never saw him again. After waiting for quite a while, we asked another server, who brought them over immediately. Our salads and soup were delivered by a food runner, and once again, our server was nowhere to be found. I eventually had to flag down the manager just to have our appetizer and soup plates cleared from the table. Our entrees arrived, the server asked how everything was, and then disappeared again. The next time we saw him was when he dropped off the check. What made it even more frustrating was watching him repeatedly check on, laugh with, and chat with the table behind us while barely acknowledging ours. We completely understand that restaurants get busy and servers can get overwhelmed, but that didn't seem to be the case here. For a $300 dinner for four people at an upscale restaurant, I expected a much higher level of service. The manager did remove our desserts from the bill, and I appreciate that gesture, but I honestly felt more should have been done once it was clear how neglected our table had been. The biggest disappointment is that the food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was delicious, which made the lack of service stand out even more. This has always been one of my favorite locations, so I truly hope this was just an off night. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and didn't reflect the level of service I've come to expect from this restaurant.

My wife ordered a pesto pasta dish, and I ordered the evenings special: a New York strip. My wife's dish came lukewarm at best. The pasta got clumpy as it stuck together. I find it hard to believe this was fresh. When I ordered my steak, the server asked if medium rare was ok. Of course, I said "yes" (is there another way to order a steak). The streak came to the table WELL DONE (third bad sign). Who does that to a 28 day dry aged steak?? I could have a steak like this at Applebees. My server agreed and offered to take it back. In hindsight, I should have sent it back and walked, but it had been over an hour and half, and I was hungry.
