    Breakfast burrito

The food was amazing!! Had the breakfast burrito and it was bomb. The guy working provided great service. I will make the drive back to Home Depot just to hit up this food truck!

I was greeted by super-friendly Amelia, who took my order, and prepared my delicious hot dog.

Brew To Go is a small "mom and pop" chain of two restaurants that operate from a trailer, semi-permanently parked outside the main exit of a "big box" home improvement store, Lowe's at the Roseville location, and Home Depot, at the Auburn location. Rick and Kristi Brown are the owners and principal operators of this small Placer County chain of restaurants. This cute little restaurant is located in front of Lowe's, in a trailer that is semi-permanently parked, and is open every day of the week from 08:00 in the morning, until 16:00 in the after noon. It's just outside the main exit, so after you've purchased your latest home improvement items, you can stop by and enjoy coffee or a hot dog. Brew To Go is quite new to Roseville, and to the Lowe's location, as the restaurant opened late last year, after a long absence of a restaurant at the Lowe's location. The menu is posted on the outside of the trailer, just to the right of the "Order Window." All menu selections are offered any time the restaurant is open, but since it's a small operation, shortages occasionally occur. The restaurant and staff are "dog friendly" and offer a limited selection of goodies for your beloved companion. I found the menu to be confusing, as a "Hot Dog Combo" includes condiments, but a "Hot Dog" order simply includes small, packaged condiments. I was confused, as this was the first encounter that I've ever had with a hot dog that didn't include condiments in the "base price." I suppose I can lament... "Welcome to 2022" or something like that? From the "Quick Bites" section of the menu, I went with the "Quarter Pound Hot Dog," as there is nothing better on a late Thursday morning than a delicious hot dog. In reality, my meal turned out to be a "Hot Dog Combo," as condiments are priced separate from the dog... which proved interesting. The "dog" was a large, quarter pound hot dog, grilled to perfection, which proved to be tender, flavorful and simply delicious! As I bit into the "dog," I was rewarded with the "snap" of the natural casing, along with a "rush" of juices from the perfectly grilled "dog." The delicious "dog" was placed on a large, fresh, slightly sweet roll, with the perfect meat-to-bun ratio, which made for a mouth-watering combination. The quarter pound "dog," along with the large bun made for a delicious, filling lunch. My hot dog was simply delicious, and Amelia provided fast and super friendly service. I absolutely love Brew To Go, but I have a few gripes: * The menu is misleading, as a "combo" usually refers to dog with a bag of chips and a soda * Condiments are not included and priced at a whopping $3.00 extra * There are no picnic tables or amenities to sit at, to enjoy your meal * There are no trash cans provided... I had to go next door to Winco to discard my trash I'm not a "to go" type of diner, as I'm an "old school" type of diner, as I prefer to sit down, on the premises and enjoy my meal, along with the local atmosphere, without the usual "to go" hassle of disposing the containers, or having to clean up after enjoying my meal. I found today's dining experience frustrating, considering my individual preference in dining, because Brew To Do didn't offer tables to sit at, or trash cans to dispose of leftovers. Hot dogs, coffee and much more is served at Brew To Go, and along with the delicious food, you'll be served with a friendly smile. Stop by, say "hello" and enjoy a delicious hot dog at Brew To Go, located at Lowe's, in Roseville, CA.

They don't skip on the garnishes either so every bite is chef's kiss. My kid loves their regular burrito with either carne asada or chicken. It's simple but on point. Just rice, beans, cheese, and meat. But every ingredient is cooked well and packed with flavor to make the perfect combination. The agua fresca is delicious. The pineapple is our favorite. It's so cold and almost frozen which is perfect for this Sacramento heat. This is hands down the BEST Mexican food in Roseville. Trust, your stomach and wallet won't be disappointed!

In an…read morearea otherwise lacking in food stands, they offer a setup on a small dirt lot featuring a picnic table and chairs if you want to eat on-site, as well as an extensive menu you can order from via QR code or in person. The customer service is gracious, and they even kindly accommodated us as their very last late order one night. The food can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day and the dish, leading to a 3.5-star experience overall. Their carne asada is a consistent standout. It's tender, perfectly cooked, and free of any gristle, making it a reliable choice. The seafood is also exceptional, as both the mixed seafood and shrimp ceviche tostadas we tried were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My mom is also a fan of their freshly made flour tortilla chips. However, inconsistency with the seasoning and preparation holds them back from a higher rating. The rice & beans are occasionally over salted, which unfortunately happened with a chicken burrito and a rolled taco plate, even though they were perfect on a different visit. The quesabirria taco plate had nicely seasoned meat but suffered from being a bit too salty, soggy, and lacking enough cheese. Similarly, the dry version of the Hot Cheetos burrito missed the mark because the Cheetos were slightly stale and the fries inside were mealy rather than crispy. Their excellent carne asada still shined. I want to emphasize that I'm not trying to be salty towards Barrios because of my own personal preferences and I will continue to return. I always notice a steady crowd of patrons during the dinner rush, so my critique should just be taken with a grain of salt!

I'm giving just 4 stars because the honey was sweet but not that spicy and the jalapeño was more of a bell pepper - also not that spicy. I liked that they had a buzzer to tell me when it was done which made it more of an appealing vibe. Other food trucks had people waiting around for the name to be called - the buzzer is WAY better. I walked over with my coworker around 11:45 and luckily, there was no wait. Thanks to our Philanthropy team I had a voucher for a free meal that I was excited to use. The service was lacking, the person who took my order seemed annoyed that I was using the voucher so that was a bit of a turn off. We ordered the Garden Vibe and got our order in about 10 minutes. Despite the service, the pizza was DELICIOUS and I love that it was a thin crust. The portion size originally looked small but I was able to share it with two of my coworkers and we were all very satisfied. Overall, great pizza but the customer service aspect of my visit could have been way better. If I see the truck around and I'm in the mood for pizza, I will definitely get it again.

Barbecued meats are somewhat difficult to review because there are a number of different regional styles and different ways the meats can be presented. Many folks love their ribs to be "fall-off-the-bone", but as a KCBS certified barbecue judge, I can tell you that style is not considered competition-worthy. Some like their brisket tender but lean; others find the fatty pieces to be the most flavorful. What I can tell you for sure is that if I had come across the ribs, brisket, and chicken that I had the pleasure of eating today at an official KCBS competition, I would have given top scores to all three. Excellent barbecue, all with the perfect amount of smoky goodness and tenderness. I had the pleasure of meeting pitmaster/owner Dave and his partner Axe. Really nice gentlemen who are deservedly proud of the top-notch barbecue they are serving. They are happy to answer any questions you might have, and they definitely do know their barbecue. Service with a smile makes for a fun experience. One of my favorite kinds of discoveries in restaurants is to find a place that, from the outside, doesn't necessarily promise to be much. Then you decide to give it a try, and WOW, it turns out to be great. And that's what you will find with BHBBQ. It's a simple stand with an awning, sitting at the very back of a large Raley's parking lot (and easy to miss if you don't know where to look), and from the outside it just doesn't look like it will be special. But very special BHBBQ is, and that is a lot of what makes this barbecue such a treat. One cautionary note: I just happened to find BHBBQ on Instagram yesterday and saw that they were going to be nearby today. They do travel, and so before you go hunting for it, be sure you know where they'll be. They announce their schedules on Instagram, Facebook, and on their website. And they do have a phone number. But this one is definitely worth the search if you're into really excellent barbecue. We had the ribs, brisket, chicken, hot links, beans, and mac & cheese. Everything was top-notch. Tastes can differ, but I can definitely recommend this terrific barbecue experience.
