    Breakfast burrito
    C G.

The food was amazing!! Had the breakfast burrito and it was bomb. The guy working provided great service. I will make the drive back to Home Depot just to hit up this food truck!

I was greeted by super-friendly Amelia, who took my order, and prepared my delicious hot dog.

Brew To Go is a small "mom and pop" chain of two restaurants that operate from a trailer, semi-permanently parked outside the main exit of a "big box" home improvement store, Lowe's at the Roseville location, and Home Depot, at the Auburn location. Rick and Kristi Brown are the owners and principal operators of this small Placer County chain of restaurants. This cute little restaurant is located in front of Lowe's, in a trailer that is semi-permanently parked, and is open every day of the week from 08:00 in the morning, until 16:00 in the after noon. It's just outside the main exit, so after you've purchased your latest home improvement items, you can stop by and enjoy coffee or a hot dog. Brew To Go is quite new to Roseville, and to the Lowe's location, as the restaurant opened late last year, after a long absence of a restaurant at the Lowe's location. The menu is posted on the outside of the trailer, just to the right of the "Order Window." All menu selections are offered any time the restaurant is open, but since it's a small operation, shortages occasionally occur. The restaurant and staff are "dog friendly" and offer a limited selection of goodies for your beloved companion. I found the menu to be confusing, as a "Hot Dog Combo" includes condiments, but a "Hot Dog" order simply includes small, packaged condiments. I was confused, as this was the first encounter that I've ever had with a hot dog that didn't include condiments in the "base price." I suppose I can lament... "Welcome to 2022" or something like that? From the "Quick Bites" section of the menu, I went with the "Quarter Pound Hot Dog," as there is nothing better on a late Thursday morning than a delicious hot dog. In reality, my meal turned out to be a "Hot Dog Combo," as condiments are priced separate from the dog... which proved interesting. The "dog" was a large, quarter pound hot dog, grilled to perfection, which proved to be tender, flavorful and simply delicious! As I bit into the "dog," I was rewarded with the "snap" of the natural casing, along with a "rush" of juices from the perfectly grilled "dog." The delicious "dog" was placed on a large, fresh, slightly sweet roll, with the perfect meat-to-bun ratio, which made for a mouth-watering combination. The quarter pound "dog," along with the large bun made for a delicious, filling lunch. My hot dog was simply delicious, and Amelia provided fast and super friendly service. I absolutely love Brew To Go, but I have a few gripes: * The menu is misleading, as a "combo" usually refers to dog with a bag of chips and a soda * Condiments are not included and priced at a whopping $3.00 extra * There are no picnic tables or amenities to sit at, to enjoy your meal * There are no trash cans provided... I had to go next door to Winco to discard my trash I'm not a "to go" type of diner, as I'm an "old school" type of diner, as I prefer to sit down, on the premises and enjoy my meal, along with the local atmosphere, without the usual "to go" hassle of disposing the containers, or having to clean up after enjoying my meal. I found today's dining experience frustrating, considering my individual preference in dining, because Brew To Do didn't offer tables to sit at, or trash cans to dispose of leftovers. Hot dogs, coffee and much more is served at Brew To Go, and along with the delicious food, you'll be served with a friendly smile. Stop by, say "hello" and enjoy a delicious hot dog at Brew To Go, located at Lowe's, in Roseville, CA.

Best matcha is from Offbeat coffee in sac, but the double at Gu Ca Phe is just as good and has its own unique charm. Worth the price, worth the drive! Amazing. If I got it with normal sweetness, I don't think I'd love it as much. Long version: Cute little spot in an unsuspecting location. I don't live in Roseville but was here for an appointment so I stopped by since this place has been on my list. After trying dozens of matchas in Sacramento and surrounding areas, this one definitely rivals the top spot. It's a small location and the service was nice and pretty standard. They also have a kiosk so you can take extra time to scroll through the menu with photos. Not a fan of the AI artwork throughout if I'm being honest but I know it's a sign of the times. And I'm glad their drinks actually do look pretty damn close to the photos unlike other businesses. I got the regular size double matcha, less sweet. If it was regular sweetness, I don't think I'd like it as much. The matcha is good quality, seems like it was freshly handwhisked but not sure. It is strong without being astringent. The matcha cream is amazing and strong as well. You def have to love matcha to enjoy this one. It's going to be stronger than something you find at Starbucks of course. I love matcha to hit me in the face so this drink was perfect. They have the good ice, too ! A similar matcha I've tried, and is my personal #1 across dozens I've tried, is from Offbeat Coffee (x2 matcha). Gu Ca Phe has finessed something similar and I honestly feel like it would be worth the drive from West Sac to Roseville just for Gu Ca Phe's double matcha. I want to try their other drinks. The sugar croiffle was delicious, too!

The interior is small but clean and brightly lit. The coffee is good but weaker than I expect when getting Vietnamese coffee. It is phin dripped, and the classic flavor is there, but less creamy texture. Traditionally the brew is very strong and mixed with condensed milk only - the ice in this instance is necessary to balance the boldness. In this coffee, between the added milk and large amount of ice, it is watered down and not the full bodied experience you would expect. Overall still a good cup, and probably the best you can get in the immediate area, but not wholly satisfying if you are seeking the traditional Vietnamese coffee flavor.

A couple of them were baklava that are the size of my thumb. There's some bagged coffee at the counter. I put them up to my nose to get a whiff of aroma. I squeezed the bag near to breather hole. Absolutely no coffee aroma at all. What this place uniquely offers is late hours of operation. Open to 11pm Monday - Thursday. Friday - Sunday open to midnight. I just sampled 3 of the desserts. Creamy pistachio bombe, coffee bombe, and a cannolo. All are satisfying sweet and luxurious. Will I return for more? At $8+ per piece that's debatable.

I'll be honest, the Ethiopian I started with wasn't really showing how I expected. It felt a little muted and flat to me. But here's where it flipped, he actually checked back in, asked what I thought, and instead of brushing it off, he was like "yeah... you're right." That alone tells you a lot. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. I was honestly so excited to go to this place. This coffee bar is actually quite hidden, as they are located right behind the Village General Store on Vernon. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville. They also used quite premium-grade matcha that made it taste really good with the whole milk they mixed in eventually. The ambiance and the hospitality was one of the best out there, and I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Sacramento!
