The vibe is fun and welcoming, and the service was genuinely great--super friendly and made the whole experience even better. I went in ready for a mangonada, only to be humbled because they were out of mango freeze. Tragic. So I pivoted to the fresada... and it completely redeemed the moment--refreshing, flavorful, no complaints. Also had the esquites (corn in a cup) which was creamy, delicious, and disappeared way too fast. This was a fantastic little shop that had a little bit of everything. I asked for and received a mango slushie. It was well blended and very tasty, a complete sugar high. The restaurant was clean and looked like it was set up for families. It had ice cream, shaved ice and some food options. Lots of beverage choice more than the normal ice cream shop. Wow! Delicious!!! I got addicted to the ceviche from their food truck and didn't know they were in Rocklin! The price is great! I especially love the ceviche on salsa Verde tostito chips! The mangonada is exactly what I imagine it to be. It's not made with shaved ice but with a fruit freeze, which is like a fruit sorbet made out of pureed fruit. It is to die for! We saw a kid order that milkshake candy bar thing and it looked really good in person. My husband tried their lime fruit freeze and fell in love with it. The owner actually makes her own candy (we'll it's regular candy with special seasonings) and sells it in store. There are some other fun stuff that we will be trying soon. Definitely must check this out! Sometimes they don't have people at the front, so you'll have to ring a bell. We didn't even know this place existed. Growing up in Lincoln, CA we used to get items like this from people selling them on their carts. Unfortunately you don't really see them anymore so when we found this spot, it's become one of our go to places when we're craving a taste of home. I didn't get pictures of all the food but each item tasted amazing, we got 3 different corn bowls topped with Doritos, hot Cheetos and a classic cheese, a chamoy lover, shaved ice (tropical punch), and 15 mini pancakes topped with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Mexican dessert shoppe [Rocklin CA] I walked in (my first time here) and many of the desserts on the menu board were foreign to me except for the mini pancakes and the banana split. Luckily, I was the only one there waiting to place an order (another customer was waiting for his order)... it took me some time to study the menu and choose because I wanted to try everything! LoL I got the Oreo Crazy Minis with 15 pancakes (you can have as many as 50 mini pancakes). Cookies & cream ice cream, crushed Oreo pieces, whipped cream, powdered sugar and chocolate syrup... the dessert was delicious but too sweet for me (and I usually don't discriminate on sweets). I also got the Esquite con Papas. I had to ask the employee about this dessert... she suggested a few combinations since I mentioned that I don't do spicy. We came up with the Esquite. So these are corn in a cup with Mayo, Cotija Cheese, Butter and your choice of chips (I chose Cheese Puffs)... interesting, I loved it! There are other chips to choose from (Doritos, Tostitos, Hot Cheetos, Taki, etc.) Many Mexican restaurants do not offer a wide variety of desserts in their menus so I was glad to stop by here this evening. This snack shop is all Mexican sweets, desserts and snacks. The specialty milk shakes look amazing so I'm looking forward to returning again soon to try it. This shop is located in Rocklin West next to Planet Fitness (how convenient is that... a dessert shop next to a gym). Cute shop. Lots of yummy looking offerings. My husband and I came in at 9pm last night to get a dessert. Both of us got a fancy shakes for $15 each. My husband got a Rockland road and he liked it. I got the Reese's shake and it had an awful flavor, we both didn't like it. Not sure what y'all are blending in the ice cream for this shake but I recommend doing some quality checks. I've wanted to visit this restaurant for quite some time! I recently moved from Roseville to Rocklin, so this evening I was craving some Elote and I wanted to find some. I used to have a local Elote man who would come through my apartment complex on sunrise in the parking lot with a cart who sold very, very good corn fresh out of a steam table And I haven't seen him for months actually probably since last summer. Since I recently have moved to Rocklin, I figured hey since I'm in the area now is a good time to try out this place, I ordered a Raspado and an Esquite but I was very disappointed after tasting my esquite cup that the corn was not sweet at all. In fact it tasted very similar to the ice in the back of my freezer. I try really hard to not complain about stuff but when I'm paying 7.99 a cup, it would be nice if it tasted like it was worth 10$. Couldn't taste the butter, there was barely any crema and I'm pretty sure he skipped the mayo too because again there was no flavor other than the hot sauce I put on top. It tasted very bland. Overall decision: I'll just stop at the store and make it myself next time. At least the customer service was friendly and the place was extremely clean.
