The tacos itself had a distinct taste I'm not normally used to with "authentic taco trucks" but it was so good that I plan to visit here regularly from now on and WILL be ordering more than just the 2. So many barbecue joints put all of their efforts into making sure that the meat is tender (which is important), but neglect to ensure that the meat is properly smoked. It's almost like they have a choice to make, either make sure the meat has the proper texture, or make sure it has the smokiness that true Texas barbecue requires. I don't know why so many places can't seem to get both right. Buckethead has elevated this approach to an art form. Every bite is not just tender and delicious, but also has the perfect amount of smoke. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken...it's all delicious and smoked to perfection. Ash is truly a master of his craft, and Drake is exceptional as well. Skip the fancy, overpriced restaurants in the area and go straight to Buckethead.
