Had lunch there yesterday. Ordered a 3 inch sandwich (which tasted OK but had about 1/2 the meat it used to come with) and a salad. No drinks. The charge was $23.27. Too expensive for the minimal amount of food. The service was friendly but the wait time from ordering to delivery of the food was too long. Our favorite... the Surf'in Bird! Beach Hut Deli is known for sandwiches, which are nothing like you've never experienced. Every ingredient is top quality and completely fresh. The menu is also unique. Many of the sandwiches contain cream cheese, fresh sliced avocados, and other delicious combinations. They have hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, salads, and what they call beach munchies! Beach Hut Deli also serves beer, and last I heard... there is a happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm-7pm and Sunday all day long. Coors Light is $2, and microbrews are $3. This Lincoln Beach Hut shares is parking lot with many other businesses. When we pulled in for lunch, there was plenty of parking. We decided to dine in and eat inside. The tables are shaped and designed to look like surf boards, with tiki huts throughout. There are seats available as if you are at a bar/breakfast bar. We ordered the extra large Surf'in Bird and a couple of beers. They were kind to offer to put it on separate Frisbee's (their plates) for us. Their sandwiches are packed full of everything they could think of... these sandwiches are absolutely not made for convenience. These are made to WOW YOU! We struggled to eat such a huge sandwich. If you refer to the pictures, the sandwich is bigger than my hand and still needs to be closed to eat... I think we could've gone down a few sandwich sizes and been comfortable. This was so big!!! I enjoyed our sandwich and our time at Beach Hut Deli. I always enjoy spending time with my handsome man! I love the atmosphere and the chill vibe of everyone who works here. My first time here and never again! This review is strictly for the food and its prices. The gentleman that was helping me in the front was super nice.. but that was the only good thing about it here. I got a Santa Cruz sandwhich and it was just average.. actually below average. The sandwhich tasted like it had too much mayo put in it.. no other 'flavor' at all.. tasted just like a 'Oh I made this in 5 minutes' type of sandwhich.. and WORST of all.. it was $17!! .. I know inflation is crazy but Idk how a 6inch sandwhich can be $17??? What? And worse of all.. it wasnt even good.. Please safe yourself and your wallet a trip. Try a different place. I'm a huge fan of Beach Hut Deli--proof that not all sandwiches are created equally. Most locations consistently deliver quality, with sandwiches that are generously stuffed and packed with flavor. Unfortunately, the Lincoln location was a big letdown. The service was lackluster, and the four sandwiches we ordered were all poorly prepared. Ordered a sandwich online. Went in little early to wait. Noticed that the guy put on gloves and was like cool.. because I was watching the lady cut lettuce with no gloves. Then the guy making the sandwich proceeded to goto the registr,, tap all over the screen, pull the receipts, grap tape, put the receipt orders on the lip of the counter. Walked into order a sandwich @ noon and was kind of shocked that it was empty. I was the only person in there. Once I got my sandwich, I realize why $21 for a small sandwich chips and a drink and talk about skimping on everything one pepper and pickle, one little thin slice of bacon. And bread tasted a couple days old. Looks like new owners, not the beach hut it used to be. The restaurant seemed to be clean and tables were clean, but that's because nobody was in there. I have been to other Beach Hut locations and have been completely happy and satisfied with their food, employee interaction, and service. Yesterday was not the case when I came to their Lincoln location. It is located inside a strip mall setting. There is plenty of parking and once inside you get the typical Beach Hut Deli feel. The young guy taking orders clearly did not know how to place orders and had to go ask questions. NOTE: This location does not have gluten-free wraps, only gluten-free bread. After our order was placed they turned up the music inside and about six to seven employees were laughing and singing in the sandwhich making area. I'm fine with having a good time whilst working...but let's think about the customers and actually doing your job well. When our sandwiches arrived my friend's was fine. Mine, the Californian (veggie) however was not. It was missing cucumber and bell pepper that I added and the cream cheese was plopped onto the avocado. I went back inside to where the party was happening, and it looked like a woman manager had arrived. I told them what was amiss with my sandwich and confirmed they didn't have wraps to which one of the kids replied the cucumber and bell pepper was not on the order. Another apologized and said they would remake the sandwich. Seven minutes later my new sandwich arrived. If you view the picture you can see they maybe used a tablespoon of cream cheese for the entire sandwich? The bread was super dry and honestly the sandwich was flavor-less. At least the avocado was nicely sliced. I will stick with the Beach Hut Delis in Folsom and El Dorado Hills, which are exceptional! Next time I'm in Lincoln, I will look for another option. Has the bread changed? It is so spongy and is so gross. Maybe it's just this location? I am going to give two stars because the salads are still pretty good. I have been going to Beach Hut deli for many years and I used to consider it the best sandwich shop in the area. We recently moved to Lincoln and have noticed that this location is different than the ones I am used to.The sandwiches are so sloppy and there is very little meat especially if you order online. The bread at Raleys is better than the bread they have at this location. I thought that I got gluten free bread on accident and then ordered two more times and it's just whatever bread they use. For the prices you need to have quality bread. I will try roseville and hope they still have the good bread. read more

Multiple times I got a sandwich and it had one slice of meat in it and I couldn't go back as I just had another child and am freshly postpartum. The other awful experience was the service. While we waited for our food, I noticed the beach like theme around us, palm trees, surf board for tables, tiki like huts. It's catchy and comfortable. The staff is professional and are pleasant to talk with. When we got our sandwich, it was massive. It was definitely going to put me to sleep when I got home. I like how we were able to add alfalfa sprouts onto it. It gave our sandwich more flavor and a craving I can only get at beach hut. My family and I decided to come here since we haven't had it in a while. I was craving a server really badly as soon as we came in the staff was very friendly. Definitely great establishment. I decided on my go to when it comes to everything happens. delicious don't get me wrong, but I can never turn down a surfing bird. It is always delicious. Hit the spot, as you could tell by my photos, they definitely hook it up when it comes to the lunch meat. This is a great establishment. If you're craving a sandwich, they definitely have something for everybody. We did not have to wait at all for our order to be complete and brought out to us like under 10 minutes, our food course was fantastic. Delicious another family member of mine also got the small serve bird and also was delighted with how delicious it was. Their bread is absolutely one of my favorite things they have here and the other employee told me that they sell their old bread for one dollar their bread is very good always soft always hits the spot, this establishment is under new management. Definitely an improvement from the last management very friendly staff very clean establishment delicious food. This isn't just good for lunch and dinner. It's been a while since I've been here because last time it was horrible. I ordered a salad no onions. It came with onions. That's fine, mistakes happen. I took it back in and asked for a new salad no onions as I ordered it that way. She was nice and said of course no worries Brought it back to me, I started eating, tons of onions under the lettuce. Means they just scraped them off. Took it back in and asked for a new one, I was nice. They took 17 mins to make a new one, proving a point? Idk. It was not busy with no line. There's absolutely no reason why one should have to wait 45 minutes inside your store after making a call in order. And then not even one time does anyone say so sorry for the wait, would you like something to drink? Then to be handed the bag of sandwiches 45 minutes later with no thank you no sorry for the wait, thank you for waiting.... No have a great day. No apologies no nothing. Alrighty- after 3 disappointing visits, I feel compelled to write this review. I understand that we all have bad days, but this location just seems to be having a bad existence. The straw that broke my BHD loyalty: Ordered online, it said 40 minutes until it would be ready. I got there 10 minutes early. I Stood in the "online order pickup" line (just following instructions) I was the only person in this line. The cashier helped 3 people from the other line----2 were ahead of me and the 3rd guy was in line after me. Ok. Easy mistake... considering I WAS early . Maybe she knew the sammich wasn't ready and she's being efficient? Cool- I appreciate a functional approach to customer service! She makes eye contact with me. I smile, and take in my breath!... because why wouldn't I let her know I'm picking up my online order after we've made eye contact? Not to mention, she appears to be the only employee at the cashier station. Silly me.... The sheer audacity to assume... because she proceeds to turn and walk away....to help the other 4 employees make sammiches. (Now there's nobody at the cashier counter) "Maybe one of the sandwiches they're all making, is mine?" I thought! I'll just mind my business and let them do their job. An elderly couple now walks in to order at the counter. She takes of the gloves, leaves the sammich prep, and assists the elderly couple. And then helps the next 2 guys that come in AFTER the elderly couple. I continued to wait.... For 10 more minutes, making eye contact and smiling at 3 more employees. These employees were so incredibly buried by the 4 other customers in the store and the 2 orders on the line, that they also couldn't address this lady standing at the online order pick up counter. I see a lonely bag sitting on the counter that appears to have no owner cause it's been sitting there for a few minutes, SO- take the bull by the horns and walk over to the prep station! I build up my courage and I ask (nicely... not wanting to intrude on their intense sandwich system) "Is this by chance, for Tiffany?"...crouching down to imply that I'm deeply apologetic for interrupting them. I needed to pick up sandwiches so I stopped by this location. It was my first time here so I was a little lost with their menu, but the employee who greeted me was very patient in explaining the different options. She also gave me suggestions about sandwiches based on each individual's preferences, such as if they wanted pastrami, turkey, roast beef, etc. The sandwiches were definitely on the pricier side but later on I realized that the size of the sandwich is quite substantial. So since we ate the sandwiches for a good two meals, it's pretty worth it for the price, in our opinion. After I placed my order, I sat down at a table near where they were making the sandwiches and decided to see what Yelp had to say about this place. I started to REALLY dread walking in because the negative reviews were quite concerning, especially several reviews talking about employees drinking on the job. However, my experience was pretty much all positive. The sandwiches were made promptly and a smiling male employee even brought them to my table instead of calling out a number or a name and having me go up to the counter. The bag was REALLY heavy, which made me a little more relieved after having paid quite a few $$ for some sandwiches. The three of us all thought the sandwiches were great. My only qualm with the visit was how an employee scribbled out the name of a sandwich on the wrapper instead of just starting over with a new sheet. That looked pretty unprofessional, IMO. But other than that, it was a good visit and we look forward to returning. read more

Really annoyed that they messed up my order. My mom and I were craving a sandwich today and decided to do a phone order. I ordered the Surfin bird only turkey bacon and cheese. My mom ordered the turkey avocado well my sandwich has mustard all over it the most bitter mustard ever tasted in my life And my mom sandwich did not have avocado on it but a ton of mustard. I called this location explain that they messed up my order and they said they cannot fix it unless I bring the sandwich back in or you kidding me I have to leave for work soon I don't have time to stop in there bring my sandwich back and I told him I have a picture on my phone and they said that does not work.
