Aloha plate (to go) $15.41 after tax
Henry F.

High prices, small over-salted portions. Not a fan. Prices are not clear. Yelp menu pricing is very out of date. Expect to pay 50-75% more. I got the aloha plate (kahlua pork with spicy mayo tuna and rice) and after tax (before tip) it was $15.41. The tuna scoop was very small for that price. I was still hungry afterwards. Service was nice. But literally no one was there at peak lunch hours. Not much ambience for dining in. It's a take out place.

Salmon Poke Bowl

Fresh poke for a decent price! I got a salmon poke bowl with two flavors and seaweed salad ($1 extra!). The salmon itself was really good and fresh. I got the spicy mayo which was creamy and had onion, and I can't remember the other flavor but it was also really good and probably my favorite of the two! My only complaint was I needed more rice for all the salmon lol. At first I thought it wasn't enough salmon but I was quickly proven wrong! The service was also really good and our bowls came out fast. The cashier, which I'm assuming is also the owner or the wife of the owner, was really nice! The overall vibe was very homey and cozy, like a mom and pop shop. Would definitely recommend checking this small business out!

#1 Oyster Sauce, Spicy Garlic + Spicy Mayo. Must add seaweed salad!!

You don't need to try any other poke spot in long beach because this is hands down the BEST poke spot. By a long shot especially if you're looking for authentic poke. It's a lowkey mom and pop shop but nothing about the food is lowkey. Me and my boyfriend have been here twice now and each time we're in awe!! Also to note, She's the sweetest most welcoming lady. Number one flavor goes to Oyster Sauce and always have to get spicy; both spicy mayo and spicy garlic are incredible. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Need to try everything else on the menu.

Terrible, sorry NOT worth $17 for over priced and nasty poke.

Tiktok failed me on this one! The food is salty and bland nothing special here. over priced for small portions. Not worth it. They give you more burnt rice then the actual poke.

Workers were so nice and the food was very delicious! I got the tonkatsu and my boyfriend got the kalua pork! Very good!!

Cute decor.

AMBIANCE: Located in Long Beach in a small standard plaza. From the outside, doesn't seem like much but when I hear authentic Hawaiian Poke, I'm there. There's lots of parking out front but it does have limited seating inside. It's not completely decked out in a Hawaiian theme but I'm fine with that. They stick to what they know. FOOD: I ended up ordering their #2 combo, which comes with ahi tuna and salmon poke, rice, and seaweed salad (for $1 extra). You have the choice of multiple sauce options for both the tuna and salmon. I went with their Fresh Ginger for the salmon and Spicy Garlic for the tuna. The plate was flavorful, everything complimented each other nicely and the sauces were just perfect. Truly reminded me of my short time visiting Hawaii. I would love to go back to try the other sauces! SERVICE: I can't say enough about the kind service from both the gentleman but especially the woman who helped us. She was radiating helpfulness, sweet older individual, just happy to help her customers. I felt loved when entering and leaving. NOTE(S): Limited seating + plenty of parking

I was craving poke and found out about this place through Yelp. Came here during my lunch break and it's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Nice ambiance inside, felt like a hole in the wall place. They had a good variety of poke flavors to choose from. I decided to get two flavors which came with rice. I choosed spicy mayo and Hawaiian limu (similar to shoyu). For $15, they gave me a good portion of rice and poke. The poke tasted fresh and the dressings all tasted good. Overall, a good solid poke place, would come back again!

Spicy garlic & spicy mayo w/rice..simple kine plate. I asked the lady to add more rice, and she did. Ahi has good flavor & tastes good

I was going to say the food is not good for the price but the food is not good even if it was free and I sign up to be mean or harsh but they were extremely rude and I know when fish smells like a food 4 less deli You should need it

Spicy mayo salmon & spicy garlic ahi with brown rice & salad
Jessica M.

Poke on the west side of the LBC huh? Just wow! I've always drove by & never thought to stop by, today I wanted Poke so I tried a new joint. Got the spicy mayo salmon & spicy garlic ahi with brown rice & salad. Variety of marinated fish, which is new for me! I usually add my sauce to the bowl. Everything was so fresh! I'm used to picking my own toppings & building my bowl but I'm kinda glad I chose my fish & then they handed me my plate. All the fixings you are used to do not automatically come with your plate, so if you want ginger you must ask for it, you want dressing for your salad? Also ask for it. Attentive service as soon as you enter the door, helpful & happy service provided! They have Loco Moco & spam musubi!? I'm definitely coming back for more Poke, I can't wait to try the Katsu, & everything else. Minimal seating inside & small parking lot but definitely 11/10!

I've purchased them three times (each) to make sure I didn't just get a weird batch so I can attest that they lack in flavor, they're just sweet. Sylvanas are decent-crunch is great, not a whole lot of flavor, overly sweet. I suppose I only enjoyed them because it reminds me of my sansrival birthday cakes when I lived in Manila. Nostagiaaaa from the actual texture! Calamansi loaf- fave because it tastes good overall , but lacked calamansi flavor or tartness from the calamansi juice I guess Ube pandesal- I used to get this 3 times a week- just tastes like regular pandesal with a small slice of Cheez. Again, zero ube flavor Regular pandesal- can't go wrong here. Bibingka- decent. Doesn't have the traditional chewiness of bibingka, but just okay in actual flavor. I doctored mine up with slices of Cheezewhiz and salted egg at home. I think the names of the pastries are deceiving because they lack the actual flavor that they're named after. Stopped coming because I felt like I was just paying $20 per visit for something sweet that didn't have depth in flavors. Also, after reading the clap backs from the owner on IG/Yelp reviews towards other patrons, it has turned me off and made me more hesitant to support her business. The guy though (sorry I don't know his name) is always at the counter and super nice!

This second visit, we also stocked up on a bunch of mangoes and ube ingredients, planning to make something different next time. The store itself is small but well-stocked. There's even a small deli inside. I noticed quite a few products and canned goods here that I've never seen at Vietnamese supermarkets like SF. The seafood and meat section seems to be one of their main strengths because it takes up a large area and everything looked pretty fresh. For dry goods and pantry items, prices are worth comparing with other Asian markets. Some Asian instant noodles and rice I saw were slightly more expensive than H Mart. My wife, her mom, and I stopped in for lunch and we really enjoyed it. My wife and I had stopped into Edna's a long time ago when we first moved to Long Beach, so it was time for a refresher. My wife and her mom shop at the nearby Tambuli for Asian groceries, so knew the parking wouldn't be too difficult in this part of town. The steam tables were jam packed with food, freshly prepared that morning, and there were some things I had not tried before. Thus, was nice to come with other folks. It took me a while to decide. The first steam table had 9 entrees: - Mom wanted Pinakbet which she later stated was good. - large strips of Lechon were chopped for you when ordered, and was a good addition to share. - other dishes included Kambing (available everyday), Pinapaitan, and Kaldereta (made with goat so we skipped it). The second steam table had 10 entrees: - Adobong Pusit - baby squid with adobo and squid ink sauce. I've come to realize that most Filipino restaurants don't have the time to remove the innards (guts and cartilage, which I've found to be inedible) while keeping the ink sacs, as they cook it. So I did it manually while eating, making this a finger food dish (very messy). Went great with the white rice, though. Mom made a good point that some folks consider it edible, similar to the shell of shrimps. - also chose the sinigang with pompano, since bangus was only available deep fried. Every entree with come with a cup of the soup, but if ordered as a choice, will come with a choice of fish piece (head, middle, or tail). The soup was good, very sour (which is how I like it) and not oily. -- final choice was Chicharon Bulaklak, deep fried pork intestines using the fatty mesentery tissues, to produce a flowery looking finger food. It came in a paper bag. It was the first time I tried it, and I liked it, though too greasy to have more than one piece. -- other choices were deep fried bangus, deep fried smelt, boiled peanuts, and a decent selection of sweet rice flour desserts. The ladies manning the steam tables were very friendly, and were receptive when I asked for a sample of the fried smelt dish. Servings were generous, and often came in separate soup containers to make eating easier. There is a large dining room with simple seating, and self bussing. It's a tried-and-true set-up that works well at other point-point places (so many in the area). Ended up getting two 2-combo plates ($14 each), served with white rice. Added 1/3 pound of Lechon Kawali for $6.48, which we all shared. In general the food was good, in large quantities, and presented with pride. Canned refrigerated sodas are only $1, so got cans of Sprite, Sunkist, and Squirt (maybe my favorite mass produced soda of all time).

Went in to grab food for lunch today. It wasn't busy. Super friendly lady working. Very attentive…read more Food was just ok. Did not like their rice there at all, so I ended up mixing it in with the ulam. The texture was just not good. The chicharon bulaklak didn't look old, but it didn't taste fresh.
