I wasn't sure what to order but I figured getting a combo plate was my best bet. I got the Ohana plate and was not disappointed. So I was looking around for a quick and easy bite for cheap because I gotta start on budget. I was a little bit spectacle about this place and it looked a bit shady ahahah, but once I went inside I got a warm welcome from this little lady. She's a bit forward bit really nice and the service was fantastic. The food especially the breakfast is pretty cheap. I mean 4 to 5 bucks for a good amount of food and the food is pretty well made. It's delicious and they don't skimp you out. Only problem I have is that they don't have alot of side orders to go with the poke. Regardless of lacking side orders the poke itself is good. read more

Love poke! This used to be a Filipino BBQ place and was closed down. I tried all the flavors but always get the wasabi and spicy mayo. I always get the build your own and choice of two flavors. They open early to if you want a Hawaiian breakfast you get the longansia or portuguese sausage combo with scramble eggs. This place is very clean. i was down the street and hungry. i checked poke district closed. really?! this place was down the street perfect! this place is in a small center. the place is like a hole in the wall. has cute hawaiian theme with hawaiian things to buy. the guy was super sweet offering me any samples that i wanted to try. price is $7.50 which is typical of any poke bowl. i got the sweet n spicy. the minus star was because it was more sweet then spicy felt like i was eating sweet and sour pork. like the sauce was thick? overall it was good i would go back and try the other items but i dont live in the area and i wont make a special trip. north shore is still my favorite :) read more

Love, love, love! Its so rare (no pun) that I get so excited about a restaurant that I have to return again and again, all in a week's span! I absolutely like this location better than the one in Carson, and they have a dining room rather than bar stool seating. The poke is fresh, rice is done just right, and the portions are generous. Try the ginger or wassabi poke, its a can't miss. The staff is extremely friendly and will let you sample before you buy. If you're into poke, or not sure yet, give this place a try! Poke Etc Willow is a really good local spot when you want to get your Poke fix plus some Filipino comfort food on the side. They have different poke flavors to choose from, all looking delicious. Went here for lunch at the end of a weekend in Long Beach. Loved it! I had the shoyu chicken/kalua pig combo with spicy mayo ahi. The chicken was a little bit on the dry side, but nothing too bad. But this places gave me food poisoning! YES FOOD POISONING!! I was throwing up within 2 hours of eating here. It's been almost 2 days and I'm still recovering. I'm beyond furious!! The food is not cook and not prepared properly. The poke that I ordered is not fresh, they served the salmon with the bloody portion still in it. The teriyaki chicken that I ordered also looks like the chicken was just boiled then poured with the teriyaki sauce and served. read more

I was craving for poke since being in SoCal for 3 days, so I was yelling for one nearby. Came across this one which was only a few blocks away from where I'm staying. It's in a plaza kind of hidden in the back. The signage wasn't too distinct so it'll me a while to look for it. When I got there, the sign said closed!!! I drove here and they're closed?! But then I saw a couple in the massage each other. I had no idea what's going on. I took another peek and saw employees in there. I decided to get out of the car and see what's going on. So they are open, but the sign says closed. Even the open light wasn't turned on, although it was in the afternoon...not sure if you can even see it. Anyway, the layout of ordering isn't as refine as other poke places I've been to and for some reason I thought it would be the same. So I was a little confused on ordering even though there was a hand written sign in front of me, steps 1, 2, 3. The lady was nice and gave me samples since it was my first time there. The poke tasted fresh and yummy. Unlike other poke places, you can purchase poke a la cart or choose a combo. One scoop of poke with a scoop of rice, two scoops of poke and a scoop of rice (can't remember that one), and 3 scoops of poke and two scoops of rice. The poke is placed in small containers, they weigh them instead of measuring with the scoop. The rice are placed in a separate container and they sprinkle furikake over it. I got the poke bowl with 3 scoops of poke. I was hungry and craving for poke!!! :). This was $11.99, but it came with a free drink. So that was a nice surprise. The total came out to be $13. The presentation wasn't too alluring compared to others, but it was good. I wish they gave out little sides such as edamame, seaweed salad, etc. like the others. Two giant balls of rice, that's a little too much, IMO. Don't get me wrong, poke and rice is good, but add in a little something something will make it great! I could see myself coming back, but I won't be living near here soon, so who knows!! read more
