Spaghetti & Chicken Meatballs (front) and kid's pepperoni pizza (back)
    Joann V.

3.7 stars As far as pizza places go, this isn't bad. The interior design has an industrial vibe to it with plenty of seating for small and large groups. The staff are quite nice. These were my orders: Spaghetti & Chicken Meatballs ($16): Not the best marinara sauce I've had, but I imagine someone more health-conscious than I am will appreciate it! The meatballs were seasoned well...I just wish it was a tad less salty. Portion was generous. 3.4/5 stars. Kid's Pepperoni Pizza ($9): Delicious! I liked the airy crust and the perfect amount of cheese, pep, and sauce ratio. 4/5 stars Free parking on site. This business charges a 3% surcharge. Accepts card and cash. And this location wasn't crowded at 1pm-ish on a Sunday. I would come back.

5/5 - Mac and Cheese I thoroughly enjoyed the mac and cheese. It wasn't heavy or overly oily like some places tend to make it. The charred breadcrumb topping added the perfect crunch, and the portion size was ideal for two adults. It had that perfect cheese pull--and then some. 5/5 - Pepperoni Pizza (with added sausage) The pizza was excellent. I loved that we could add sausage, and the crust was amazingly light. My partner likes dipping pizza in ranch, and the crust (especially the edge) was perfect for that. If you're not a fan of overly saucy pizza, this is definitely for you--the sauce doesn't overpower the sausage or pepperoni. The cheese was evenly distributed, so every bite felt balanced. 3/5 - Broccolini The broccolini was just okay. I liked the char and the slight smoky flavor, along with the hint of lemon and cheese on top. However, I wish it had been blanched a bit more, as it was crunchier than I prefer. The tops were slightly over-charred for my taste, and the texture didn't quite come together. You order before being seated, which is a bit different, and then it's open seating--bar seats, booths, or tables depending on your preference. We chose a corner booth since there was a birthday party in the center of the restaurant. The space can comfortably accommodate groups of 5-10 people. One thing to note (not the restaurant's fault) is that there were children running around quite a bit, which made it feel a little chaotic at times. Since there aren't any activities or designated areas for kids, it would be nice if parents were a bit more mindful so everyone can enjoy their dining experience. The servers were extremely nice and attentive, especially when it came to refilling drinks. You may need to check in with them for things like to-go boxes, but overall the service was solid. Overall, I would come back again.

Went to Pitfire Pizza today and the mushroom pizza was the best thing we ordered. Really good flavor, lots of mushrooms, and the crust had that nice chewy wood-fired texture without being too heavy. Simple pizza but done right. Good spot for families too. Plenty of space inside, easy to sit with kids, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Didn't feel rushed and food came out at an average time, not too fast not too slow. Overall solid pizza place and I'd come back again, especially for the mushroom pizza.

You order and pick where you want to sit. Pretty spacious inside with plenty parking outside. Now to the food.... the pizza was burnt on the bottom, I can make better spaghetti meatballs (I don't even cook like that btw) lol and the macaroni cheese was the only okay dish. The texture was good for macaroni and cheese but I def expected better tasting pizza.

11/11/25 Tuesday Stopped by for lunch and arrived a little early so they weren't open yet. They open at 11 AM. We were the only ones there for the first hour. When we attempted to order, they ran out of chicken meatballs and apparently could not make chicken wings either because they were still cleaning the deep fryer. Disappointing since that involved most of the items we wanted to order. We settled on ordering a margarita pizza, bbq chicken pizza, and steak salad. They're known for their sourdough pie dough. Didn't know what to expect, but the pizzas tasted healthy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the flavor was lacking. Dough didn't taste sour despite being sourdough. Thin chewy crust. Fresh basil. Bbq pizza is too sweet. The pizzas were not hot... The steak salad was the saving grace. It was bomb. Tender steak and flavorful salad dressing and toppings! Very spacious venue suitable for large parties. There's even outdoor seating with cover. There is a parking lot. I can imagine it could fill up during busy times, but it was empty when we were there.

This was my first time here. I came with a group of about 10 people or so. After walking in through their large sliding doors, I was surprised by how big the place really is. The dining area is pretty spacious and the tables were perfect for the size of my party. They even have an outdoor patio area decked out with a fireplace and everything. The workers were very friendly and explained everything to us. Including their new seasonal menu items. When our food came, the pizza was hot, the crust was thin and flaky. All the ingredients are fresh and tasted amazing. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place wasn't crowded. We did have kids in our party, but this place does serve alcohol and has TV's set up throughout. I'm thinking this would be a good place to watch any major sporting event. So, that means I'll have to add this place to my list of places to go and keep this place in mind when I want to watch the big game.

Dined in for lunch on 11/11/25 at 11:00 am. We were the first ones there. We tried ordering chicken wings, but the fryer wasn't ready. Then we tried to ask for chicken meatballs, but they didn't have it. We were disappointed we wanted to try their appetizers, but maybe we were just too early. Service: quick, you just order up in the front and they bring the food to you Parking: small parking lot, so you will have to park on the street Food: - Steak salad: 4/5, good flavor, but a tad too sweet for me. The steak was tender and the salad was fresh. I would ask for dressing on the side next time. - Margherita Pizza and BBQ chicken pizza: 2.5/5, sadly the pizzas barely had any flavor. They both tastes almost too healthy. The crust was chewy with no seasoning or flavor. The toppings didn't stand out at all. Sadly, I am disappointed that the pizza was not good compared to the salad. The only good thing was the crust was apparently a sourdough crust, so it is healthier? Overall, we wouldn't be returning back.

No hostess - they asked that you "grab a menu and take a seat, then place order at counter." If you want refill on your drink, you have to take glass to the counter. When food is delivered, that is the time you asked for what you need (extra napkins, salt, pepper, etc) or else you're on your own. Customer service was just okay, when we did interact with the waitress, no personality or smile. The honey bear pizza was good, but not enough sauce and the chili on it was very spicy, too spicy! The salad and the pasta were good. Sadly, did not feel like we went out and dinner was served to us, minimal interaction with staff, and it was not pleasant. Doubt we will be back!!!

    Burnt hard pizza

Can't find where to use a gift card we received online, so I sent my daughter to place the order to pick up. She's been there an hour. Still no pizza. They burned one and showed it to her and they asked if she wanted it to be re-made. Even burning it, it should not take an hour. She's texting me, very frustrated. She said it's not crowded at all. 9 years after my first review, and still the same issues.

Mushroom pizza had so few mushrooms. Added prosciutto and still looked bare.

Extremely disappointed on how few toppings were on the mushroom pizza. After adding prosciutto to the mushroom pizza, it still looked bare. BBQ chicken pizza had more toppings but had a piece of bone the size of a pinky nail. Someone can chip a tooth from the bone. Both pizza tasted delicious altho they had wide crusts. The restaurant charged $1.20 fee for employee health and added sales tax on top of this fee. This is our 1st time trying Pitfire pizza and we won't return.

    Wendy L.

I was blown away by their exquisite pizzas and the taste was out of this world! Even the crust was fluffy and rich. 10/10 will definitely come back again.

I'm so glad we got this, the portions were excellent, everything was so yummy! I will say the yellowtail fish was good but I'm not a huge fan of how it was drenched in the olive oil, but I guess that's how the Italian restaurants do it! Maybe I'm use to the Asian restaurant yellowtails! The pomordo pasta was my fave so cheesy & tasty but also love the pomodroini with all the fresh tomatoes, perfect summery pasta!! Light & fresh! The dessert was fantastic! The strawberry panna cotta was sooo good, light, creamy, sweet, mmm so good I would recommend getting off their tasting menu so you can try a bit of everything (: I will definitely return & when I do I'll probably try a different option off their tasting menu!

Just be careful because there are some tricky signs that say $1.50 in large font and for each 15 minutes in tiny font. Even with a reservation from Resy, we found that it was still a bit of a wait. Without the reservation, you might be limited to patio parking only. Even their bar area was busy and reserved during our time there. I didn't mind the waiting, but it was stressful waiting in a tight space with their staff coming in and out with huge piles of dishes and you have to be careful if you don't want to be bumped into. This feeling of crowdedness continues to the tables with the spacing between one table to another very tight together. More to this in a bit. The hostess was so sweet, she actually sent us a complimentary Blistered Bread and Ricotta ($14) dish that we both really enjoyed to make up for the wait. The blistered bread was masterfully executed, very thin and went perfectly with the ricotta dip. Once again, I didn't mind the wait at all. That was not the problem with my meal. Anyways... going on... the waiter... the waiter we had was really grumpy. Not sure if it's just his personality or he was having a bad day. For instance, I was ready to get the white wine flight but then he was, very poorly, explaining it to the point where I was talked out of it. Then I was about to get a glass of wine or bubbly... Then once again he basically talks me out of it. Nevermind I'll drink water... I guess you don't need to earn a better tip. In addition to the trouble he gave me while order. When he came to ask me about my experience. I honestly responded that it could be better, due to the table next to us. He basically gaslit me like well it's a big party, what do you expect? Wow this inconsiderate family of kids bumping into my table, making fart sounds on purpose, cursing adults, and loud loud kids and adults... You expect me to feel like this is normal behavior and enjoy it. I straight up told him, well YOU ASKED ME, I'm just answered your question. He begrudgingly moved us but basically ignored us for the rest of the night Anyways, as for the food... I thought the food would be pretty fantastic since the restaurant was so busy. It had all of the signs of a successful restaurant. My boyfriend and I shared the following: Squash Blossoms ($16) - I love squash blossoms. My boyfriend knew I wouldn't be able to resist ordering it. Their preparation of this delicate ingredient was heavy for my liking. The batter on it was thick and oily. The toasted hazelnuts were unnecessary. House Italian Sausage ($26) - They have one of those pizza ovens. The crust was thin and crispy. It was well prepared. However the issue we had with this was the flavor, or rather lacking flavor. The taste of the Italian sausage was overwhelmed by the red onion agrodolce. We both ate a slice and took the rest home. Even as leftovers we weren't excited to eat it. Charred Scallop Risotto ($38) - What really sold me was the baja uni batter that I did not taste much of in this dish. This was a poor execution of a risotto. The texture was off, and the flavor was overwhelmed by whatever cheese they used in this dish. The charred scallop was one single scallop cut in half and overly charred and rubbery in taste. The blue shrimp were shriveled too. We made sure to eat the proteins to prevent waste but you know it's bad when my boyfriend didn't even want to togo this dish. He normally eats anything to prevent waste. Branzino alla Griglia ($38) - Whole grilled branzino topped with eggplant, salsa verde and herb salad. This was the least bad item that we paid for... Although there was a lot of bones to be cautious of. I understand the risk of stumbling on a few bones when ordering a whole fish but this was more than I would have liked. I also didn't like some of the flavors coating the fish. Although from a grilled perspective it was crispy and perfectly cooked. This is a popular business with plenty of patrons to keep them busy. Whatever they like... it isn't what I look for in a business I frequent. I know they don't need my business and I will gladly stay away and save myself all of the trouble. This was way too stressful and there weren't any dishes I need to have again. My experience was so awful I'm being very generous with this 3 star, which is "average".

I came later after my friend got the table but we were seated outside in the nice little patio seating area. The servers were quick to greet me when I came in and took my drink order. I tried the frozen Negroni and opted for that. We were served bread to dip with vinegar and oil while we looked through the menu to see what we wanted. The server suggested different dishes: raviolis, cacio e pepe, a dish with the name jerry in the title (I don't quite remember the full name!) and so on. I ordered the cacio e pepe and added mushrooms and chicken to my order. As an appetizer, I ordered a half cesar salad which was pretty decent. I was not a fan of the hard crouton though! The cacio e pepe was pretty dry and the chicken was even drier. Adding mushrooms was a nice touch but sadly the dish could not be saved by how dried it was. Overall, it was okay but I would skip on adding chicken. My friends seemed pretty disappointed with their dishes. I think maybe 2/6 thought their dishes were okay while the rest did not enjoy what they ordered. For dessert, I was surprised with a slice of coconut cake since it was a friend and mines birthday. The cake was good and full of coconut flavored goodnessss. The tiramisu I ordered (before I knew of the coconut cake!) was also a very nice sweet treat. Overall, the vibes are nice, the service was super kind and the drinks were good. Dessert was fine but I'm not sure I would return for dessert. Made a reservation about an hour before, so when we got there we were seated immediately. After a quick glance at the drink menu, had to get the Mai Tai with lilikoi foam on top. So delicious. Had my first lilikoi foam in Maui and I love that I'm starting to see it around Los Angeles now. Adds such a punch of flavor to an after we balanced drink. For food, we started with the bacon deviled eggs and shrimp taquitos. Those deviled eggs were lightly fried, which was different, then had apple wood smoked bacon on top, just a really tasty bite. The shrimp taquitos were also not what you would expect, nice and light but still very good. Entrees we went with the center cut fillet and the prime rib dip with swiss cheese on a brioche bun. That sandwich just melts if your mouth after dipping it in the jous, and the cheese was the perfect accompiament. The fillet was cooked perfect as well, coming out medium rare. Overall, great restaurant in Pasadena. Definitely get the Mai Tai, Devine eggs and prime rib dip. Taquitos were good and, if you're feeling like another hg er appetizer, definitely a way to go . The fillet, also great but I feel you can get it anywhere.

They were warm (not hot) and it was difficult to get any meat off of them. I rarely ask for something to be sent back but especially for the price point here, these were not OK. We let them know that they were undercooked. The chokes were gone for a while and when they came back they were slightly better so we just made due and realized that they just weren't very good artichokes. Also, though the heart was good, the flavor of the leaves was not great and the dipping sauce was nothing special. They were covered with diced onions for some reason. When it's $21 for three halves, it was very disappointing.

I got the diavola pizza. Neapolitan style is my favorite, and when it came out it was amazing. The tomato sauce had the perfect level of acidity, and the dough complemented it really well. They have a small lot plus some free and paid street parking nearby. Service was great. Definitely would come again.

Then saw a unique appetizer salad item on menu "Involtini" $16. It was a great appetizer consisting of arugula, and goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, with an impressive large thin sliced piece of Parmesan on top drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Very unique and good, I look forward to replicating at home with a little more balsamic. I ordered the Settebello $21 pizza as a main entree of which I thought was advertised with pancetta, mushrooms and Italian sausage. Pizza came out hot and fresh, but with prosciutto instead of the perceived menu listed pancetta. Pizza sauce was good, the sausage and mushrooms were great. Crust was a little doughy, not crispy but charcoal charred in places. Not phenomenal but not bad, middle of the road overall. Service started off great but fell flat to the floor. Drinks and food came out on time indicating bar staff and kitchen staff were on point. Waiting staff could up their game. No check up or check in. No offers for drink refills or another round. I had to ask for refills on water. Final bill $56.35 for one drink, appetizer and pizza for a solo dinner. Three (3) stars at best! Room for improvements.
