Ok, I never leave bad reviews because I feel like most people just whine for the sake of whining. I've eaten at a few Pitfire pizza locations over the last decade or so and I've always enjoyed myself but today was pretty bad. My daughter and I arrived at 6pm, ordered a Cesar salad and 2 pizzas and just left at 7:10 with our pizza's in a to-go box. An hour. For 2 pizza's. I mean at least give your customers a heads up if you're slammed and the food is going to take a little longer than normal. But no, not this time. After 45 minutes I went to the counter and expressed that we had somewhere to go and we'll just take the pies to go. All that was said to us was "I don't know what else to say but sorry." I am so grateful that this place offers both Pizza and Mac and Cheese. That is all that is consumed in my household so it's nice to go out once in a while and have someone else make it this time. I have to say, this baked Mac and cheese is legit, so good. Usually baked mac and cheeses are usually really dry and not really very cheesy but this one somehow kept its gooiness and pasta moisture. The dough for the pizza is soft, chewy, dippable and doesn't get stale when it cools. But the real reason that I felt compelled to write a review is because I LOVE their playlist. Within the same visit, they played 311 and ABBA. Two groups that legit made me sing along and bounce in my seat. These were my orders: Spaghetti & Chicken Meatballs ($16): Not the best marinara sauce I've had, but I imagine someone more health-conscious than I am will appreciate it! The charred breadcrumb topping added the perfect crunch, and the portion size was ideal for two adults. My partner likes dipping pizza in ranch, and the crust (especially the edge) was perfect for that. If you're not a fan of overly saucy pizza, this is definitely for you--the sauce doesn't overpower the sausage or pepperoni. The cheese was evenly distributed, so every bite felt balanced. 3/5 - Broccolini The broccolini was just okay. I liked the char and the slight smoky flavor, along with the hint of lemon and cheese on top. However, I wish it had been blanched a bit more, as it was crunchier than I prefer. The tops were slightly over-charred for my taste, and the texture didn't quite come together. You order before being seated, which is a bit different, and then it's open seating--bar seats, booths, or tables depending on your preference. We chose a corner booth since there was a birthday party in the center of the restaurant. The space can comfortably accommodate groups of 5-10 people. One thing to note (not the restaurant's fault) is that there were children running around quite a bit, which made it feel a little chaotic at times. Since there aren't any activities or designated areas for kids, it would be nice if parents were a bit more mindful so everyone can enjoy their dining experience. The servers were extremely nice and attentive, especially when it came to refilling drinks. You may need to check in with them for things like to-go boxes, but overall the service was solid. Went to Pitfire Pizza today and the mushroom pizza was the best thing we ordered. Really good flavor, lots of mushrooms, and the crust had that nice chewy wood-fired texture without being too heavy. Simple pizza but done right. Good spot for families too. Plenty of space inside, easy to sit with kids, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Didn't feel rushed and food came out at an average time, not too fast not too slow. Overall solid pizza place and I'd come back again, especially for the mushroom pizza. read more

11/11/25 Tuesday Stopped by for lunch and arrived a little early so they weren't open yet. They open at 11 AM. We were the only ones there for the first hour. When we attempted to order, they ran out of chicken meatballs and apparently could not make chicken wings either because they were still cleaning the deep fryer. Disappointing since that involved most of the items we wanted to order. We settled on ordering a margarita pizza, bbq chicken pizza, and steak salad. They're known for their sourdough pie dough. Didn't know what to expect, but the pizzas tasted healthy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the flavor was lacking. Dough didn't taste sour despite being sourdough. Thin chewy crust. Fresh basil. Bbq pizza is too sweet. The pizzas were not hot... The steak salad was the saving grace. It was bomb. Tender steak and flavorful salad dressing and toppings! Very spacious venue suitable for large parties. There's even outdoor seating with cover. There is a parking lot. This was my first time here. I came with a group of about 10 people or so. After walking in through their large sliding doors, I was surprised by how big the place really is. The dining area is pretty spacious and the tables were perfect for the size of my party. They even have an outdoor patio area decked out with a fireplace and everything. The workers were very friendly and explained everything to us. Including their new seasonal menu items. When our food came, the pizza was hot, the crust was thin and flaky. All the ingredients are fresh and tasted amazing. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place wasn't crowded. We did have kids in our party, but this place does serve alcohol and has TV's set up throughout. I'm thinking this would be a good place to watch any major sporting event. So, that means I'll have to add this place to my list of places to go and keep this place in mind when I want to watch the big game. read more

Great restaurant for a chill night out with friends for some pizza and beer. Large indoor area with lots of space. Big tables that can accommodate 12 people easily. I usually go during off-peak hours so seating has never been a problem, not sure how busy it gets at peak hour though. All their pizzas are delicious, thin crust, and flavorful and yet not overwhelming. Prices are intermediate so for a party of 6, ordering 4 pizzas, 2 salads, and 5 beers cost me about 150$ before tipping. Staff was friendly and vibes were good. I've been to Pit Fire Pizza twice now and both experiences have been great. The restaurant itself has such a cozy atmosphere, it feels modern and clean, but the wood accents and overall design make it warm and inviting rather than cold or trendy for the sake of being trendy. The service has been consistently friendly and attentive both times I've visited. The food has honestly been fantastic. This has quickly become my go-to spot when I want a really good pizza made with fresh, quality ingredients. The dough is one of my favorite parts, not too heavy, not too thin, and it has the perfect crisp to it. Their macaroni and cheese was amazing too. You can tell they use good quality cheese because it wasn't oily, clumpy, or overly greasy like a lot of places. Everything was smooth, rich, and well balanced. I also tried the broccolini, which tasted really good overall. Personally, I would've loved a little garlic on it and for it to be cooked slightly softer since it was still pretty crunchy, but that's just my own preference and not really a complaint. The Caesar salad was excellent as well. No hostess - they asked that you "grab a menu and take a seat, then place order at counter." If you want refill on your drink, you have to take glass to the counter. When food is delivered, that is the time you asked for what you need (extra napkins, salt, pepper, etc) or else you're on your own. Customer service was just okay, when we did interact with the waitress, no personality or smile. The honey bear pizza was good, but not enough sauce and the chili on it was very spicy, too spicy! Pitfire is one of my go-to's when I'm craving pizza! I love that they have seasonal options as well. I have yet to dine-in here so I can't comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant, but I always order from here and when I ask for substitutions on my order everything is always made correctly. My usual order is the Honey Bear pizza. I like the type of crust they have - it's not too thick, but not too thin either. I'll sometimes order the Cheesy Knots and Boneless Chicken Wings as well. The wings to be honest are more like tenders, but I enjoy both the flavors they have to offer. I think they combine ingredients really well to make a good pizza overall, but they fall short in some ingredients. I've only tried two of their pizzas - the Honey Bear and the Margherita - so my review is only good for those. Honey Bear really stood out with the honey and chili flavor, but the only thing I wasn't a fan of was how dry the ricotta cheese was. It wasn't that creamy and the texture was mainly cheese curds. Margherita is pretty basic and nothing really stood out about it when it comes to flavor. Tomato sauce was kind of bland. Pizza dough itself is alright. I enjoyed the thin sliced texture overall but the crust was too dense and not very airy. As a restaurant, I like that this place isn't too busy. Running round, running errands. The name had caught my attention before. Pulled over for a slice of pepperoni and cheese pizza. Amazing! I saw the spaghetti and meatballs on the menu and had to try. Amazing! Flushed it all down with a nice, crisp pale ale beer named: fight on! Met Jill, the manager at the bar working. She stopped what she was doing just to welcome me and all my "chatter." It was a sweet sauce and a great compliment to this pizza. Pizzas are wood fired which adds so much flavor The service for carryout was excellent and quick as I only waited about 10-15 minutes for my food. I recommend having one of their cocktails while you wait for a carryout order or if you are dining in. The ambiance was very modern with an half-open kitchen which I always think is cool. It's also decently well ventilated inside so you can feel the ambiance of a pizza shop without burning up due to hot ovens. My wife and I recently had a baby shower here in their outdoor seating area and Caitlin (manager) and her team were fantastic. Was craving pizza in the Pasadena area for dinner and stumbled across Pitfire. It wasn't too crowded so we were able to walk up to order immediately. Afterwords it's self seating either indoors or outdoors. The outdoor seating area has a nice fire pit but is a bit loud since you're sitting directly next to Arroyo Parkway. We ordered a cheese and a Margherita pizza. The wait time was a bit longer since it was relatively empty. The pizza was a nice flatbread pizza with good taste. It was nothing mindblowing.
