Really disappointed in our Pitfire experience. We went to support a fundraiser, it seems they had two fundraisers on one day. There was a big line, not a big deal and we were excited that so many others were supporting the fundraisers. But after we ordered it took over AN HOUR AND A FORTY FIVE MINUTES for the pizza to be made, cooked, put in the box and given to us. There were cooked pizzas sitting waiting to be boxes so when we got our pizza it was only warm and by the time we drove home (less than 10 minutes) it was completely cold. The staff were friendly but slow, but I think the bigger problem is they were understaffed. I don't know if management just didn't plan well but it ruined the experience and we will now never go back. read more

First time. Pizza was good. Crust was perfect thin in the middle under the toppings and bready on the outside and with a flavor the makes it edible by itself. The toppings were also flavorable, although a bit sparse. The staff was very friendly, but except for bringing the pizza to the table when it was ready it is basically self service. It was a sweet sauce and a great compliment to this pizza. Pizzas are wood fired which adds so much flavor The service for carryout was excellent and quick as I only waited about 10-15 minutes for my food. I recommend having one of their cocktails while you wait for a carryout order or if you are dining in. The ambiance was very modern with an half-open kitchen which I always think is cool. It's also decently well ventilated inside so you can feel the ambiance of a pizza shop without burning up due to hot ovens. I came here with my puppy and sat outside which was great. I'm training him to become acclimated to outdoor restaurants and people. The patio was pretty empty which was perfect for my puppy. I ordered a gluten free honey bear and it was delicious, the honey on it was especially good. It's a nice place to sit inside, even on a rainy day! We came for a field trip and ended up staying to eat, we liked it so much. I've heard they also do birthday parties. 5+ stars, and I can't enough good things about the customer service here. I will say though, I don't care for the hell references of "pitfire" and the imagery of the all seeing eye on a triangle. Came here around 6:30 pm on a Sunday night. First time trying this place out. Interior decor was really chill and with a bar area. Looked like a great spot for big groups or a work happy hour. Super hungry after running errands and was looking forward to eating some pizza and pasta. Wasn't busy. 3-4 other tables were seated. Order at the cashier and pay first. You take a number and bring it to your table. More casual. Received prewrapped silverware in a napkin from waitress. My boyfriend opened the silverware to discover cheese on the handles. No service whatsoever once they drop off silverware and share plates after you're seated. Had to stand up and retrieve new silverware and additional share plates from behind the counter. Couldn't find napkins though. Guess people who eat here eat an entire pizza with only one napkin.... But not me... Bolognese pasta arrived first. Tasted really bland and terrible. Was literally only pasta and red sauce. Ten year old me could make better pasta from the package... and canned tomato sauce... Thought it would taste pretty good since I was starving. Had to drown it in table Parmesan to give it any remote flavor. Do not recommend ordering pasta here. Looking back, not sure if they even gave us the pasta we ordered... Ordered the Chicken Pesto Pizza. The pizza took 40 minutes to come out. Did not understand how or why. A Chicago deep dish pizza is 30-40 minutes. This was a normal thin crust pizza that I had hoped to be a little better quality than blaze or pieology. Some reviews mentioned that it was neopolitan pizza, however the texture was in between a neopolitan and thin crust. Not quite completely one nor the other. Originally wanted to give one star due to all the misses down from the cheese silverware to the wrong/bad pasta order to the late pizza on a quiet Sunday with plenty of staff. Unfortunately, it was honestly just a terrible experience for me that pretty much ruined my day. However, we received a refund for the mishaps and delays. I want to hope that it was an off night for Pitfire, but personally won't be returning. read more

The food was great we go the BBQ Chicken Pizza both times and it was delicious. Great portions of chicken on there plus the dough is soft with great Pitfire flavor. The interior has a lot of tables with some being outside but covered up. There aren't many TVs and some sides of the tables don't face any. You order at the register. Get a number. Then pick a table. We placed our order this second time and waited 30+ mins for our pizza and eventually one of their workers came to let us know she took it off our bill because of the wait. On the eve of my soon to be 12 year old's birthday he requested a good pizza after a long day of soccer games. We were nearby so I Yelped a place and this was the first establishment that came up. Between my two boys' and their dad they thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, buffalo wings, and cheesy knots. Mama is on a special fast so she sat patiently and watched her family eat. It was almost closing when we got there and it was a Sunday night so it was not busy. Our order came out quickly and piping hot! Very spacious indoors and I believe there's outdoor seating as well. I used to live in La Cañada, and the Pasadena location was just down the street from my house. However, about a year ago, I had a few negative experiences with the manager--so much so that I started driving all the way to the North Hollywood location whenever I craved Pitfire. Today, I happened to be in the area and decided to give the Pasadena location another try. I was warmly greeted by the manager, Jill, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I didn't know what to expect (just ordered from here on a whim) got the Margarita pizza kept it simple and then went a little extra by getting the wings and garlic/cheesy knots. This place is awesome! The wings were delicious and not too spicy. I prefer boneless and they were generous with the portion. The pizza itself was perfect. I prefer a thin pizza and this was just that with a hardy crust which made all the difference. Also the sauce to cheese ratio again 5/5 on that. Eager to try some of their other toppings soon. My only complaint is that the Garlic/cheesy knots were lacking in both cheese and garlic sadly :( So I probably wouldn't re-order those. Also they tasted bitter because the bottom seemed burnt. definitely will go back for the main event (Pizza and wings) not everything can be a win, but that pizza and wing combo was a 5/5 regardless! read more
