There is an ATM machine right by the door. Upon entrance, there's an abundance of tables. The decor kinda reminds me of a place I went to in Vietnam with the metal chairs and covers on the table. I ordered the medium #15 with everything. The server was kind enough to ask us if we want boiled bean sprouts. *high five* I love a lot of lime in my pho, and this place did not skimp! The broth was clear and flavorful. There's a good ratio of noodles and meat. You know how sometimes when you go to pho joint and there's more soup than the noodle and the meat, and then it makes you question your life choices on why you didn't order a large in the first place? My partner lives across the street from here so I have frequented this place sooo many times, can't believe I'm just now reviewing it. Honestly, one of the best pho in Seattle! Although Vietnamese classmates said this is not that tasty and is too sweet, but I thought it was not bad, at least better than the few phos near the campus. The environment is a bit poor. The broth is so good you don't need to add hoisin or sriracha. Service was horrible. Was seated, order taken and then forgotten about for 30 minutes. We watched 3 other tables be seated. We waved down our server who then come by and asked if anyone took our order yet. After we told her that she took our order she asked for it again before going back to the kitchen to finally bring out our food. She blamed the computer for not recording our order even though we saw 3 other tables get their order with no issues. She clearly forgot and didn't want to take responsibility. I love this place. This is the best Pho I've had in Seattle, and honestly one of the best I've had anywhere. This place is cash only, the prices shown is tax included. Very easy to find, but the parking lot is tiny. Luckily there's plenty of street parking nearby. The broth is excellent. Even though the place looks pretty sketchy and not the cleaniest, all the ingredients are really fresh. It's not very loud since most people were heads down devouring their pho. I think you just find a seat when you walk in, at least that's what I've been doing, so don't wait for someone to show you to a seat. The food comes out relatively fast considering it's usually full. This place should not be associated with the Pho Bac name or brand. We only came to this location because it was Memorial Day and the other locations were closed. That was the first disappointment because we had such a good experience at the location downtown and their upstairs bar. This one is located in a kind of sketchy neighborhood and looks pretty rundown both inside and outside and parking can be tough. It's also sparsely staffed and when you're finally able to flag someone down, they aren't friendly or welcoming at all. Despite this, they were completely full and we were fortunate that a table only just opened up when we arrived. The table supplies like chopsticks, spoons, and napkins were all empty so we had to ask for some which took a while. The table looked barely cleaned too and I had to dust off food debris from my chair onto the floor where there was already a lot. After finally flagging someone down to order we were surprised with our food. Surprised in that the quality was so poor and honestly a shame to their name. The soup broth was bland and the meat quality was poor. Specifically, the meatballs had a really weird consistency and did not have any bite to them. We know how good it is supposed to be which is why we're being so hard on them. My entire party thought the same and my guest that was trying it for the first time was really let down. It took a while for someone to come by again so I just got up and went to the counter and asked to pay. It's cash only which is another inconvenience. Everything was good, but IMO the only thing worth returning for is the turmeric noodles because they're so unique. This is absolutely the best place for Northern Style pho in Seattle and more affordable than other places! This place is a definite hole-in-wall place with graffiti on the wall and the building itself isn't exactly in the best shape but don't let that deter you. The restaurant is entirely ran by elderly Vietnamese women who are extremely nice and efficient! They were able to accommodate my minor customization and requests that most pho places don't offend do anymore. I was able to get my rare steak slices on the side since I don't like it when it gets overcooked in the soup. I also able to request a side of slice onions soaked in vinegar which I inhaled with my pho instantly! The broth comes out piping out and has that sweet aroma that is unique to the Northern style that you can taste immediately. We also tried one of their rice dishes which did not disappoint and came in a generous portion, enough for 2 meals if you don't eat a lot like me. This place is CASH ONLY and the nice thing is that the price includes tax as well. So what you see is what you pay which is great and peace of mind! They recently renovated the place and looks like they had a menu change and what feels like a recipe change as well. Hello yummy pho, you made my day when Seattle decides to be rainy again. Located in the South End of Seattle (near Franklin High School area and near a plaza of businesses), you really can't missed this tagged out/graffiti art building that spells out "Pho Bac." Don't be fooled by the exterior because once you stepped inside, it's a large spacious restaurant that's cutely decorated. While it isn't the most modern vibe, this homey joint has some of the best phooooo around! If you like everything (all the meats + etc) or want to be adventurous, shoot for a Pho Dac Biet. This combo pho has everything from tripe to steak to meatballs etc. If you opt for something more familiar (especially first timers), I would suggest going for a chicken pho. For the chicken pho, you actually get nice chunky pieces of the chicken and not just shredded up bits. For the pho broth, this was on point. I found myself barely reaching for the hoison / siracha sauce since my bowl of pho was tastyyyy. For a small, portion was quite filling. Veggies on the side were fresh and water was served in cute cups. The only downer I had with this place was..........if you come too late, a lot of things run out (a.k.a 4pm ish on a Sunday afternoon for my family and me). We were told that the place was out of eggrolls (which I heard was pretty bombtastic and yummy), various drinks (except water and soda), desserts......Sigh. At least pho was abundant, so all went well. The perpetual rock of Vietnamese food in the community! They've been here forever. There's bars on the windows. And nothing about the structure says that this is a restaurant. Despite all of the faults it is the best soup you will get on this side of the Pacific. The friendly staff greet you and seat you. They will gladly show off their massive pots of boiling meat if you're curious about them. And then serve you. The soup is the best. Pho was good but my son wouldn't eat any since it looked really dirty in there. Water tasted like bleach.
