    Best chicken sandwich

I came by with a group of friends and were lucky enough to be seated without a reservation. Unfortunately it took me about 5 mins of trying to flag down a waiter's attention as they didn't notice me coming in. The portion sizes are good, but unfortunately the taste was nothing memorable. It's unfortunate but the bad service soured my experience here.

My husband found this restaurant on TikTok, and we finally went last night--they did not disappoint at all. The staff was incredibly friendly, the vibes were great, and we loved the playlist; they were playing really good music the entire time. It honestly felt like eating in someone's home, which I absolutely loved. For drinks, I ordered the Grand Mimosa, and my husband had the Brownstone Punch. It was a bit strong for me since it has three different rums, but he enjoyed it. For our entrées, I ordered the catfish, and my husband ordered the spicy catfish, both served with mac and cheese, collard greens, and broccoli. The catfish was fried to perfection. The collard greens were flavorful and delicious, and the mac and cheese was very cheesy--just how I like it--though it was slightly salty. The cornbread was moist and perfectly sweet. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

I came here with my date on a Sunday afternoon and was able to be seated immediately. The restaurant is simple with minimal decorations. The food didn't take long to come out and the server was helpful with substitutions. The food was excellent and well seasoned. Everything was made fresh so I definitely had to blow it to avoid burning my mouth. Overall it was a great experience and worth the trip.

We got here at a pretty sweet time on Saturday a little bit after 6pm and then the restaurant started to fill up quickly. The service was friendly and checked on us multiple times. I ordered the fried chicken, sweet potato fries and it came with a side of corn bread. The chicken was battered perfectly creating the right amount of crisp, crunchy and flaky crust to the chicken. The sweet potato fries were so good we couldn't stop nibbling on them and dipped them in the sauce provided. The cornbread, buttery and not too sweet hit my palette just right. My friend ordered the fried catfish, cheesy broccoli and it came with a slice of cornbread as well. They definitely enjoyed it, everything was gone, the only thing to wrap up was some broccoli. For drinks I got the strawberry lemonade and they got some warm lemon ginger tea. It your casual comfort food, wooden tables and chairs ambiance.

A friend recommended this place. The servers were very nice. The service was fast. The catfish was fried perfectly. The hot honey sauce over the fish was great. However, although the greens were tasty, there was too much butter. The butter cake was also very sugary. The cornbread was dry. Lastly, for a restaurant called peaches hot house, I expected to see peach cobbler on the menu. Also, I would've loved to have a side of potato salad with my catfish. The vibe is very chill here. Nothing fancy. I would go back.

Great southern brunch! Having gone to all of the other peaches, I've never tried the hothouse. I was skeptical that they would have their famous French toast but I called ahead and confirmed it would be available for brunch. The joint is small but a neighborhood fav as it was packed. We were able to get a table inside and dined on the fried green tomatoes, French toast and fried chicken. The bourbon drinks were also really good ( and I am not a bourbon drinker), but when eating southern cuisine I had to indulge. Looking forward to going back.

Peaches in Brooklyn has a cool, relaxed vibe and the staff was very friendly. The crispy chicken was full of flavor and I would definitely order it again. The Jim Cade breakfast was standard but tasty, and one drink was enough to feel a nice buzz. Overall, a great spot I would gladly visit again.

I thought Peaches Hothouse had the same menu as the Peaches on Marcus Garvey, it does not ! Peaches Hothouse has a limited menu and with few entrees. Food options are mostly, burgers and chicken. I ordered wings with a side of mac & cheese. One person waits on the entire restaurant which is acceptable considering how small it is inside. Service was good , mac & cheese was decent. It was something quick to get a bite , just wished they had more food options.

Torn between reason and blind rage, I feel I have to dock some stars, and perhaps maybe concluding there is a reason I was only one of three diners eating here during lunch time. Other Yelpers here have stated the food is very good here. As someone who has had many southern fried chicken sandwiches, this one falls short. The chicken is more bread than meat, the sandwich is overtaken by too much hot honey. It was not a pleasant sandwich to eat, though I really wanted to like it. Instead of fries (remember, no fries for me anymore in the USA with some exceptions), I got macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The former is creamy, silky, and hot all the way through. The latter is a little dry and bland, it definitely needs butter. I chose not to use it because it would have made a messy plate even messier. They do give you three pieces which is nice, but I would prefer them to have some flavor. The Tiger Woods, or their half and half, is okay, but watered down. After the first few sips, it loses its magic. Now it is just lemon water. I also found my server, initially friendly, to be condescending and insulting. If she was nicer I would have stayed a little longer, but her tone and hipster Bed-Stuy vibe (yes, the restaurant is in Bed-Stuy) turned me off. It is not attractive to me. Reason prevailing, I will not be back.

I came here for brunch and it was so good. I have never been here and I have been missing out. So I ordered the fried chicken with macaroni and cheese. It was so good; my food was well cooked and it was a good portion. The chicken was crispy and flavorful without being salty. The macaroni and cheese was creamy and cheesy without being heavy. I ordered the spicy fried chicken and I did not like that the spicy was some powder, I thought it would be a little different but it was not bad. I did not expect that it was a dusting of a hot flavor. Besides that the food was so good and it definitely made my day. The portion was generous and I had enough food to take home. It was busy and we sat outside a the tables were maintained. The waiter was really nice and came back regularly to check in on us. The place was inviting and friendly, all the staff was nice and kept things flowing. I would definitely come back and I recommend it.

Places like this are one of the reasons Brooklyn is my favorite borough in NYC. It's been awhile since I've been in a soul food restaurant. The one nearby me it terrible, but that's a story for another time. The place is a bit small and compact but has a comfortable feel to it. Service is very accommodating right off the jump. A server led me to a table of my choice, handed me the menu to order, some water and came back around to take my order all in a span on 90 seconds. Stuff like this deserves bonus stars because 5 just isn't enough. Since this is my first time around, I went with something simple, the 3 piece fried chicken w/ French Fries and Cornbread with the 1/2 & 1/2 Iced Tea and Lemonade drink affectionately named the Tiger Woods. Most oldheads like me know it more as the Arnold Palmer, but I'm all in favor of recrowning it as the Tiger Woods. Back to the food which didn't take long to find its way to my table. The fries were literal perfection. Right type of crisp, right type of salt and fills you up proper. The Cornbread is very comparable to the classic popeyes Biscuit. Tasty and delightful but slightly absorbent texture which means you'll need a drink to wash it down after eating it. The chicken put every other chicken place I ever ate at TO SHAME! Not only was it delicious but it was prepared so nice, it was neither greasy or dry just, wow, it hit the sweet spot right to the bullseye. The Tiger Woods may be the best half and half I've ever had. You can actually taste both the Iced Tea and lemonade from it with no flavor overpowering the other. All of that good food and it was only around the lower $20 range. Next time I'm in Brooklyn, my next lunch is right back here. Peaches HotHouse is second to NONE!

Great food great service - not the best soul food I've had in NYC but very solid! I didn't get a pic but the collard greens and mac were spot on.

Peaches Hothouse is that spot in Brooklyn you didn't know you needed until you've had the shrimp sandwich. Let me tell you, it's the best I've had in the neighborhood--hands down. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and flavorful. Honestly, it's the star of the show. The mac and cheese is decent, but it's the shrimp sandwich that'll keep you coming back. And don't sleep on the Brownstone drink--smooth, refreshing, and an absolute must-have. I honestly am not impressed with the other dishes.

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.
