We're finally back outside and of course we're finally able to brunch. Today we made our way to this establishment, mistaking it for the other Peaches... don't mirror my mistake folks. This place failed! Upon entering we weren't greeted until I walked all the way to the register and asked for a table. We were offered the option of inside or outside, with the sun being our friend we chose to sit outside. We were the first ones in our section which led to the assumption that there won't be much competition for the servers attention... we were dead wrong. We were brought water, menus, and given some time to peruse. Finally we were ready to order and we noticed other patrons joining our section. No worries right, we sat first so it makes logical sense that we'd be served first right. Wrong! We ordered the Kale Salad, Fried Green Tomatoes, and the Hopkins to start. Having an appetite for brunch we decided to order entrees as well... why make the sever come back twice right. Oddly our waitress struggled to take our order and we had to repeat it several times. As our sections population grew we noticed that tables that were occupied after us had received their drinks (the same one I ordered) and appetizers (same as ours) before us. Moments later our appetizers arrived but still no drink... like I mentioned before other tables in the same section had theirs. At this point we'd finished our appetizers and had to go back inside to ask about our drink, no explanation, no apology, just "we'll handle it". Finally the drink arrived but by this point it's been over 15mins since we finished our appetizers and nobody came to take our dishes... we had to flag someone down to handle this. Beyond frustrated, after seeing the same entrees we ordered be served at other tables in our section... remember I said we were seated first. We asked for the manager and we're told one wasn't available. We asked about the delay and we're told "we'll handle it". Shortly after the "lead server" came to our table and apologized, noting that all the other staff members are new. He added that the entrees would be out in about 10mins... we asked for the check instead. Not wanting to wait any further, I followed him inside and paid my bill at the very register I encountered this lazy staff. Sidebar, the Fried Green Tomatoes were breaded but flavorless. It was as though it was simply breaded and fried.... No seasoning was present. Note: the table that received their order before us, which contained similar items we ordered, who's occupants were seated AFTER us were all white. Do with that info as you please. My fiancé got the shrimp po'boy, I had some fried chicken and my friend had the lemon chicken. We shared two things of Mac& cheese. I wish I took photos but we were too busy enjoying the food - it was absolutely amazing! Everything my party had was delicious. Even the lemon chicken was amazing, I was very surprised! My friend got the spiked peach tea and it tasted good, seemed to be their most popular drink. The server was very kind which is rare in New York! Perfect spot to bring your family or friends for a celebratory meal. I will say though that this location is a bit tight, and we weren't able to use the high chair for my 5mo son. The chicken is stupid good. I tried the chicken sandwich and the spicy level was perfect and the chicken was incredibly juicy. I would not go here if you aren't very hungry because the portions are big and you need to be rolled out if you finish your plate. The margarita is also delish. I'm glad to see Peaches Hothouse is around during the pandemic. I ate here recently and sat inside one of the new enclosed outdoor seating houses. The plus - it keeps you out of the elements. It was super windy and cold when I dined here for breakfast. The wind was loud but was slamming into while eating. The minus. It's not particularly warm so you have to be bundled up and its seating for two. Larger parties have to face the elements. I've been going to peaches hothouse for quite some time now and I am always blown away by the delicious food and friendly service. My boyfriend, his family and I ordered the granola crusted French toast with berries, eggs, fried chicken, mac and cheese with barbeque wings, and a cheeseburger with fries. Everything was sooo delicious!! The granola crusted French toast was a standout - the granola added a nice crunch to the soft, fluffy toast and the berries added a burst of sweetness. The fried chicken and mac and cheese were both perfectly creamy and flavorful, and the barbeque wings had just the right amount of spice. The cheeseburger and fries were also delicious the burger was juicy and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. The service at Peaches Hothouse was also excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Peaches peaches PEACHES! I heard about Peaches HotHouse for years and never tried them. I went on a brunch date today and decided to give them a try. The ambience is very casual. There's indoor and outdoor seating, benches, wooden tables with a close intimate setting. The music is great mix of hip hop, r&b etc. Service was good. Chill and laid back but sufficient and courteous. They were packed for brunch, we arrived 2:30 pm on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. All outdoor seating was taken, but I'm not the hugest fan of outdoor seating anyway. There was two 2 tops left inside,we were seated right away. Despite the blistering heat, the inside was comfortably cool. They give you a glass, old milk jug type container full of tap water for the table. I really wanted chicken and waffles but the French toast got so many rave reviews. I decided to give it a try with chicken. Hands down the BEST French toast I ever had. I'm not a big fan of French toast in general. They mostly taste like soggy cinnamon bread maybe some vanilla with a hint of nutmeg if the place is being fancy. Peaches coats there French toast in granola and it's adds such a nutty, crunchy complexity. It wasn't too sweet and didn't really need any syrup but adding some was delicious as well. I asked for white meat and they gave me the juiciest fried chicken breast. I mean the skin was crispy and spicy as I requested hot. The hot was great bite , flavorful heat that lingered for a few and dissipated. The meat itself could've used just a smidge more salt in my opinion. But that didn't take away from it by any means. The French toast came with peaches that tasted like peach cobbler filling. I was happy it was ok the side. My date ate it. Though the flavor was good. I'm not a fan of canned peaches, he loved it. My date got the creole shrimp and grits. I had to try of course. It was exquisite. Creamy lump free grits, succulent shrimp with a mild savory tomato broth. The scallion garnish added a nice crunchy oniony taste. We ended up splitting each others dishes. We also got a side of cornbread. In my family I make the best cornbread. Every time I get cornbread at restaurants it's dry, bland or hard. This was again the best cornbread I've had at a restaurant and the taste and texture is very similar to the one I make. They served it with salted butter which was the chefs kiss. It was moist, slightly sweet like I like it and scrumptious. You get 3 great sized pieces for $3. The drinks were cool but meh in comparison to the food. He got cranberry juice, which was standard and honestly the biggest cranberry juice, 16oz mason jar. They did put ice in it, which isn't the norm. The Bellini was tasty. They serve it in a white wine glass and it comes with orange juice and peach schnapps. The color was dark so it was a good portion of juice but it paired very well with the food and I love peach schnapps. Lightning Hopkins was okay. It's bourbon, lemonade, ginger, mint and blueberries. It needed more bourbon, while the taste was fine I thought I was drinking juice. I didn't see or hear any mixing going on, which led me to believe they make a blubbery lemonade of some kind and just pour in the booze. The brownstone punch was delicious. Definitely reminds you of a non Caribbean version of rum punch. It needed wrey and nephew in it to cut through the sweetness. I had 3 cocktails and not even a buzz. So the liquor is minimal. Also they don't use the names of the spirits used, letting me know all the liquor used must be house. We ate everything. I mean EVERYTHING! The only thing left on the plate was chicken bones and crumbs. This was honestly the best meal I've had in awhile. The portions were huge and I was full the remainder of the day. The prices were excellent for the taste and size. I will definitely be back. read more

The food was very good, and so was the environment. They lose a star because the waitress that took care of us needs to make sure she can add money up accurately. She thought we under paid when in fact we gave her a huge tip. Subsequently, we were called back to the restaurant where we were told we underpaid. She counted the money again and saw her error. It was a tad embarrassing for us to be called back in. Our bill was close to $500 and I guess the adding got the best of her. read more

Coffee with milk was fresh as well as refreshing( coffee drinkers understand) I had the kale caesar salad as well as the fried green tomatoes. The kale salad was very good but, combining bites of Fried green tomato, pickled Onion, Bacon, and Chipotle Mayo it was delicious. The birthday lady order white meat fried chicken and sweet potato fries. She said it was delicious with the exception of the thigh/ dark meat on the plate. Got the chicken sandwich which was HUGE. Very tasty and comes with a side (i chose collard greens). I originally wanted the hot honey, but just know this was HOT hot honey. After knowing they use ghost peppers I got it on the side and after taking one taste I didn't touch it the rest of the meal haha. Has outdoor seating as an option, but make sure to make yourself known as staff seems to not have assigned tables. Peaches Hothouse is everything! It gives casual but nice as far as ambiance. We were seated right away and both staff members who took care of us were kind and attentive, so A+ for customer service. I got the fried chicken plate with hot honey and fries, my husband got catfish (hot) with collared greens and we got a side of Mac and cheese. I'd been here a few times in my 20s but it has been awhile (7 or 8 years!) since I'd visited so I was excited to stop by for lunch after a day at the Brooklyn Children's museum with my bestie and her two toddlers the day after Thanksgiving. The place was a lot smaller than I remember and they were nice enough to move some things around so we could squeeze in with two high chairs. (My friend did need to leave her stroller outside, so something to consider if you're coming with kids.) Once we were seated, my friend's kids were in rare form and QUITE loud but the staff was super nice about it and nobody batted an eye about the regular screeches. I ordered the chicken sandwich, hot, and subbed Mac and cheese for the side salad (for $2 extra) and a glass of wine. The sandwich was good, but the coleslaw had wayyyyyy too much Mayo which ruined it a little bit for me. The Mac and cheese was awesome. My friend had the fried chicken with a side of broccoli, which was definitely the better order. She also had one of their punches which she said was incredible. Was in Brooklyn last week and I'm always looking for fried chicken joints. I noticed peaches was close by amd had to try it. Close to the Barclays center in Brooklyn parking is always tough but I got lucky and found a spot. Walked into Peaches and it's very simple tables chairs and the only sell wine. I sat down without looking at the menu I told my waitress I'll have the fried chicken. I asked for all dark meat and that wasn't a problem. The waitress was very nice and brought a pitcher of water for the table. The chicken came out and it looks delicious and crispy. 3 pieces, two legs and 1 thigh. With a nice side of arugula salad dressed with a vinegarette. The chicken was crispy and juicy but the chicken itself laced a little flavor. But I did use the hot sauce that can on the side and that's what the chicken needed. A little squirt goes a long way. The chicken was a little pricey as well $17 for 3 pieces is a stretch. It was good but wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. read more

Oooh La La. Let's just say, this experience was just shy of perfection! I ordered the fried chicken with baked mac with corn bread and my sister ordered the fried cat fish with a salad and corn bread. Babe, that Cat fish was seasoned to perfection and fried nice! The Corn bread- buttery and delicious. We decided on the Tiger Wood aka Arnold Palmer drink- refreshing. Our waiter was super attentive and kept the refills coming!!! I would have loved to give him a shout out, but I forgot his name! The only thing that needs to be changed in this location is the fact that the patrons can see the cook and the cleaners at work in the back. Saturday evening at about 7pm with a party of 4 we did not have a wait. Seated promptly and the service throughout was nice and attentive. The food however was a let down. The breast on my chicken plate was dry (not brined?) and bland as was the cornbread. The worst part also is that I was provided a wing as well one I asked for a mixed plate. Word to the wise: wing is white meat, not dark. Best part was the sweet potato fries. My friend's mac and cheese was gritty, as if the roux has not been whisked enough.
