    Crab Cake
    Parker G.

What an absolutely and legitimately amazing experience! A space designed to be accessible, comfortable, and yet refined at the same time. Starting with the crab cake, I found it perfectly prepared, delectable, and delicious. I also loved all the cocktails we ordered, which were the perfect mix of strengthen and deliciously unique flavor. For entrees, the Sweet Science Burger and the Catfish Sandwich were both perfect in their preparation and taste. I'm saying this because I truly enjoyed them - yes, they were a bit pricey on the menu, but for me, they completely were warranted when it came to their quality and taste. So i have nothing at ALL to complain about. Not to mention the fact that service was extremely friendly and hospitable. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. Great food, service, and vibes. I definitely think it's worth it!

Sweet Science is the place to go if you are in the mood for a lowkey , comfy eatery. I went during happy hour and the drinks did not disappoint. I ordered a guava margarita on the rocks and a frozen passion fruit margarita and both drinks were very good. The South Carolina tangy wings were alright to me but my friends loved it. The Maryland limb crab dip was the star of the show for me. (If you are a fan of dips such as artichoke dip or ragu's this would be a meal you enjoy). I also enjoyed the chicken biscuit(we cut it in half to split it via the picture). The chicken biscuit was both sweet and savory and the flavors blended together perfectly. I will definitely come back to this spot , there are many items on the menu that I love to try in the future.

Sweet Science is such a gem for brunch in Brooklyn! My friend and I were dilly dallying all Sunday so why not stop by S.S to wrap up the festivities. Their brunch goes from 11-5pm, which is generous as most places wrap up brunch by 3pm. We got there around 4pm, grabbed two seats at the bar and ordered the lobster, shrimp & biscuits to split. The food was spot on, very fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Every dish that came out for other patrons also looked good. The vibes were also immaculate. The music was great as the DJ kept the chunzzz coming. The crowd was lively but not overwhelming or overly stimulating like most brunch spots. The space is also welcoming whether you're with friends or flying solo. On top of that, there was plenty of street parking, which is always a win in New York. The only reason I'm giving 4 (it's really a 4.5) stars instead of 5 is because the bartender tossed out my mocktail when I went to the restroom. Like miss ma'am, you take my full glass but not the empty ones still sitting on top the bar. Sigh. She offered to re-make it but I was over it. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and I'll definitely be back for brunch again.

I love this bar, even if it was where I watched the Knicks get eliminated this past season. This particular spot wasn't a destination for us, it was just an inviting bar on a corner we were walking by. However, it was exactly what we wanted for the evening: cocktails and seats to watch the Knicks, with a good crowd but not so many people that it was unbearable. Sweet Science seems to be exactly what a lot of people need or want, judging by our first visit. They've also got: -A big beautiful bar. -Affordable cocktails. -A great beer selection. -Good music, when the Knicks sound wasn't on. -Huge open air windows, and great tables outside. -Food that we have yet to get down with (I liked the menu though). -Paint & Sip going on in the back that night (along with other events all the time). Plus, I got to mansplain to my wife about how the sweet science is boxing. What else could you ask for?

Wish I was able to say a vibe waa had. Unfortunately was a hit and miss at my visit to sweet science. The music was good..not too loud, energy in the resturant fantastic, the service was cool as well. That's about all the positive I got. Our bottomless mimosa was more like bottles of champagne only. Each flavor lacking and the pitchers lacking a proper balance of juice to champagne. Food was decent. While our shrimp and lobster in it's flavorful sauce paired was the cheesy grits was amazing. The biscuit was dense. Our crabcakes was flavorful, lump crab, fresh avocado and a heap of crispy onions. The steak and eggs was a disaster. Eggs were slapped on the plate and steak was bloody. My temperature request was medium but clearly they did not let the steak rest.

I came here for bottomless brunch with my friends and we had a great time. They don't seat you unless your entire party is present. The restaurant is kind of dark as the rain added to the gloominess unfortunately but we still had a good time. We all got mimosas and you can choose your favor of mango, orange, passionfruit, and guava. I enjoyed passionfruit and guava. A bucket of champagne bottles are brought out so you can make your own mimosas. We ordered: - Hey Baby Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich: I added Cajun fries. This was sooo good. I loved that the chicken had a glaze and wasn't dry. The biscuit as a bun was a great addition/detail. It also came with a salad. I wish the fries were a little crunchier. - Jerk Chicken Hash: my friends enjoyed this - Breakfast Burrito: this looked huge - avocado tomato toast with poached egg Service was a little slow. We had to flag down the servers a few times.

This is a niiice spot... & black owned. A girlfriend of mine put me on & I've enjoyed my visits ever sense. The place is located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Walking in, the decor of the place is very relaxed & friendly, yet festive & exciting (especially during brunch). The pictures on the wall celebrate multiple genres of music as well as other art.. The seating is relaxed & spaced where you have room to enjoy your meal. As far as the menu goes, they're great options to choose from whether its for brunch, lunch or dinner. Overall, its a very nice spot for eating, drinking or relaxing. Excellent neighborhood spot. 1. Jerk Chicken Hash Boneless chicken, potato, onions & peppers cooked in homemade jerk seasoning w/over easy eggs. Served w/cheddar grits 2. Sweet Science Wings & the sizzling baby shrimp in garlic butter, parsley, and chili flakes. Served with rustic sourdough 3. Came for happy hour and tried the drink the first time. It was ok. The henny colada had a weird taste like they don't clean out the machine daily. I was told the they fish and chips were good. Attempt to try it the other day. The only goood thing was the fries and the sauce. The fish was horrible. The fish wasn't crispy, and it was soft and not flavorful at all. Also had another henny colada that tasted the same didn't even finish it. I will not be returning back.

Service was welcoming. Food came out very quick. However I wasn't impressed with my meal. My friend ordered the steak and eggs along with a side of bacon. He enjoyed his meal. I ordered the lobster and shrimp it came with a sauce over a biscuit. I was very dissatisfied with my food. I gave them three stars for the welcoming of the staff and the time the food was prepared and delivered to our table. However, I would not come back to sweet science when visiting Brooklyn again.

We went for brunch to celebrate my nieces 25th and happy we chose this place. The energy is lit with the dj spinning good tunes. The establishment itself is dope. Staff was very attentive!!! I ordered the chicken and waffles but got to taste the jerk hash and shrimp and grits. The chicken and waffles was good. I'd like a bit more seasoning on my chicken but it was breaded and fried well and the cornbread waffles were light and yummy. The shrimp and grits was delicious. Big and plump well cooked shrimp with the creamiest grits I ever had. The jerk hash was very tasty with a bit of heat. Overall will def go back!

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

This place was perfect and its menu was choke full of bargains and bonuses. This place was cute; I mean the bar was front and center and was very impressive but the table seating was charming too. Their lunch menu has a great "build your on burger" which i had a blast doing: Burger Cheddar Cheese Bacon Grilled onions Lettuce Tomato Mayo / BBQ con The service was exceptional, the ambience was very "Taverny [sic]" and my lunch was delicious!

Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

I do have to say that the tables are way too tight next to each other as people kept squeezing in and out. I know it's a small space, but I didn't know I was dining with strangers. Anyways, we started off with the Hot Nguyen Wings ($18), which has a nice spicy glaze from the Gochujang. It also comes with 6 full wings, so you get a good amount of food here --perfect to share with two or three people. The flavor on these were one of my favorites that I'm still dreaming about these. Then we also got The Breeze Pizza ($26) and Emmy Burger ($31). The pizza dough was really good on this with a chewy texture and loaded with toppings. They have so many variations of pizza here that I'd love to try some of the more unique options next time. As for the burger that everyone comes here for, it's good. I can't say it's the best, but it's a solid and very messy burger with lots of carmelized onions. It's also quite a pricey burger, although it does come with some crispy fries. Also, I think the waiter forgot my burger order because every table got their burger before their pizza except ours. When my husband was already on his last slice of pizza, I had to ask if my burger was still coming. By the time it came, I had to eat this by myself and was a bit too full to even enjoy it anymore. Overall, loved the food here especially the wings that I find so underrated. The service was a bit off and it felt like it was just me sadly. Plus, the space is just way too cramped. It looks like others who celebrated their birthday here gets a Banana Pudding, so that's a plus.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. My wait time wasn't long for a table since I had a reservation. Once seated I ordered the bacon cheese burger with the egg on it with fries. I will say once I got my food it looked delicious. The fries were amazing, perfectly cooked with what has to be the best garlic aioli sauce I have ever had. Now to the burger and I'm sorry to have to say this because I love burgers, I'm a huge burger fan but this was the most greasiest, nastiest oily mess of a burger I have ever had.
