You can never go wrong with a nightcap at Bar Blondeau. Located on the sixth floor of the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, this rooftop captures a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline at eye level. Everyone from the doorman to the server treated us like royalty. The martinis here are sumptuous, especially the Zephyr which consists of apple based spirits from upstate New York mixed with bergamot and sage. For a light app, I recommend the winter squash tempura served with an addicting green tahini. The chocolate cake is a decadent delight featuring a rich layer of hazelnut praline.
The Coronation Chicken and Smoked Salmon sandwiches were really tasty. Along with the beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline and soft jazz playing in the background, this was a nice place to take a break from our sightseeing around Williamsburg on a overcast autumn afternoon. I'd come back for drinks in the evening as well!
Great service and views of Manhattan. We just went for drinks during happy hour. By the time we left, the space had filled up. I bet sunset is incredible here.
Very cute spot! It's above a hotel (I think?). Great views, the bar is gorgeous, but kind of small. We grabbed the last two seats. Drinks are very good, they give a complimentary nut/chip dish. Would like to come back to try the food.
The service and atmosphere were so pleasant! The food consisted of tasty small bites. The view during sunset was beautiful but I had to move inside when the wind started to pick up. The service was so nice in accommodating my requests. They run out of popular items quickly though so I did have to change my order - but I was provided a shrimp cocktail for the inconvenience. I really enjoyed my time here!
Bar Blondeau is a beautifully elegant rooftop bar on the sixth floor of the Wythe Hotel and has wonderful views of the Manhattan Skyline. We were able to get a seat right at the window and were able to enjoy this view the entirety of our time here. We came around 10pm on a Saturday, and while we didn't have reservations, they were able to give us a standing table right away. Before we were even done ordering, they had a booth right by the window available for us. We definitely got lucky and would recommend making reservations if you have the option! Drinks are great! They're about $20 a cocktail, which is definitely a bit pricier but on par with what you're getting for your money. Only complaint was some of their drinks aren't customizable because they say they make them in batch - for the price and the more upscale nature of this restaurant, you would think that all the drinks would be made to order. We didn't grab any food while we were here, but they also have a decent-looking food menu. They also do a "sunset hour" happy hour from 5-7pm on M-F. While we weren't here for it, they have a few well-priced drinks on the menu as options. Staff were efficient and helpful. Definitely recommend stopping by here for drinks with a magnificent view - whether alone, on a date, or with a group. It'll be a great time.
Bar Blondeau was on the top of my list to grab drinks during our visit to Williamsburg, and we were lucky enough to get a walk-in table with the perfect view of Manhattan at 10pm on a Saturday night. Didn't try any of their food, but their drinks were great and reasonably priced (considering you're at a rooftop bar in New York). The Hundy P was enjoyable. Service is good. Tables reasonably spaced out so you're not packed in. Definitely recommend coming for a drink with a view.

Cocktail menu was full of lovely options, and the food we had was all wonderful; much of it because of the combinations of simple flavors done spectacularly well. I also want to call out the service we received from Jackson. They were able to lead us through the menu with tantalizingly accurate descriptions of food, cocktails, and after dinner spirits alike.
Played the Resy Notify game and grabbed a table for a Saturday night in April 2024. Some of the tables are definitely hit or miss here in terms of the kind of view you'll have, and the bar area is super crowded at sunset hour, but we lucked out and got an amazing table! Even before entering, I trusted the Le Crocodile and Chez Ma Tante guys who run this place, and they did not let me down. My boyfriend and I ordered: + Martini blonde + Long weekend + Measure for measure + Desierto alto + Tuna tartare + Blondeau Caesar salad + Burger au poivre + Fries + Scallops + Key lime The martini was my favorite of the cocktails, while standout dishes were the Caesar (absolutely perfect), scallops, fries and key lime dessert. Burger was also really solid. The service stood out to me too; in a world of ridiculous NYC table limits, they didn't rush us at all, and we were able to linger for another round and dessert. Will be back. P.S. The outdoor terrace wasn't set up yet, but would love to return for that when it's warmer.
Bar blondeau is located on the 6th floor of the wythe hotel and is a beautiful spot for drinks and snacks with great views of Manhattan! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon at 230pm and it was not busy yet, so we got to pick our table. We shared a bottle of delicious orange wine, a plate of hot crispy shoestring fries, and went through a ton of the complimentary bar snacks. Both the host and server were very friendly and accommodating (I moved from a table to bar seating). It definitely picked up later in the afternoon but we never felt rushed. I spied a patio that looked cute but it was chilly out so I didn't venture out there.
What a special place! The serving sizes were small but the views and service were fantastic!! We love Grace! Definitely recommend coming by around sunset so you can see Manhattan across the channel. Great backdrop for a family picture, dating profile picture, etc.!
Visited Bar Blondeau during happy hour (5-7pm) and grabbed seats at the bar, which offers great views of the Manhattan skyline. The bar-only happy hour menu includes $9-$11 wines and cocktails, definitely a good deal for the setting. They also offer a complimentary small nibbles tray with olives, potato chips, and almonds (just ask!), which was a nice touch. Seating at the bar was full, but the overall vibe was relaxed and not too loud, and the restaurant itself wasn't crowded. There's also a rooftop section with a mix of tables and casual lounge seating, which adds to the ambiance. We ordered a few small plates: the Japanese fried chicken with egg salad (very good), tuna tartare with crunchy, oversized crackers (possibly gluten-free?), and a side of fries. Everything came out quickly and tasted great. Staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. A great spot for low-key drinks, bites, and a view.
Bar Blondeau has average drinks (pretty watered down even if it's from the non-HH cocktail drinks menu) but a very nice rooftop tucked away in a Brooklyn hotel. The servers were great and very attentive without being overbearing. The bar snacks were also tasty. Overall I would return but I hope their drinks improve over time.

The best place to send a summer Sunday funday. We had a reservation at 4:30 and coincidentally a dj started playing at 5. The vibes were immaculate, service was great and attentive and the drinks were even better! Pls try the matcha drink it's spectacular. We had a wonderful Christmas evening at Bar Blondeau! The view is stunning, you'll have a great look ar the Manhattan skyline and the East River. The atmosphere is chill and It's quiet enough to have a conversation. The service was friendly and attentive throughout. For food, we ordered the following: * 6 oysters * Shrimp cocktail * Smoked salmon rillette * Buratta * Japanese fried chicken * Octopus Everything was tasty! My favorites were the shrimp cocktail - the shrimp were perfectly sized! The smoked salmon rillette were served on the cutest little toasts and they were the absolute perfect bite. I also loved that the octopus came cut up into bite-sized pieces. The desserts were also stellar. We shared the chocolate cake and the special ice cream. The non-alcoholic espresso martini was also delicious! I will definitely be getting that if we go back. I would absolutely recommend Bar Blondeau for a date night or fancy night out with friends. read more

Beautiful rooftop! Came here on a Saturday evening for drinks and the spicy margaritas were so good! We also ordered the fries and fried calamari and shrimp-everything was delicious. The service was great and everyone in the hotel was so pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend coming to this beautiful rooftop to enjoy a cocktail and small bite while having an amazing view of the city! read more

Looking back on an incredible experience a year later, I can't resist sharing the cherished memories I made at Blondeau. During a remarkable outing with two close friends to explore the area, we stumbled upon various charming rooftops. However, it was Blondeau our last one. Settling in and sharing and savoring their delectable starters, we were immediately enchanted by the exquisite flavors. The culinary journey was truly amazing, we couldn't take photos of everything cause we were enjoying the moment. Amid the cheerful conversations and the enchanting ambiance, I discovered a drink that stood out as the highlight of my night. The service was good. read more
We arrived at around 5pm, it's surprisingly quiet with only a few customers. We were seated right next to the window overlooking Manhattan, such great views! Service is great, cocktails and snacks are good too, really enjoyed our night here! Will I be back? Yes I think they have a rooftop as well, next time will come back for the rooftop view! read more

The views aren't as awesomesauce as Westlight, but the service and drinks are infinitely better. If you're coming with a mega-group like we were, get the Say Less with mezcal and enjoy getting slowly beer goggled at ~$9/glass, depending on how much you imbibe. Or if you want to fly to the moon solo, try the Terrace Bramble for something strong and fruity all at once. Also, $3 fries. Lots of $3 fries. read more

This bar is on the 6th floor of a hotel. It was easy for us to walk in and be seated (on a Wednesday). The staff was very friendly and offered to take our coats. The ambiance is really cute (think vintage romantic). They have some great cocktail options. They are a little pricey but worth it. Mine was the Poire Royal - $31 but made with absinthe and super good. We shared the fried chicken app, the ham croquettes and the fried artichokes. Everything was so good. So good. The staff was all super friendly and attentive too. Overall - definitely a great hidden spot to check out. read more
We tried for an unplanned happy hour at Le Crocodile, butt it was full and they suggested upstairs - we were not disappointed! Their 5-7pm happy hour cocktail special was very good, all 3 were delicious cocktails. The food was very good. I probably liked the fried chicken best... But come on it's well fried chicken, I'm a sucker. The hot dog was also really delicious, I basically never eat hot dogs, but the mergez drew me in, and delivered! Service was solid. Lastly, the view was fantastic on a beautiful spring day. You can see from the financial district all the way up to midtown skyscrapers. read more

I heard of this place because I subscribe to the cooking substack of one of the former pastry chefs (https://kaitlynwong.substack.com/) and she mentioned developing an espresso mousse with Amaro!! I did not need to read further and googled the place to discover that this was just the cherry on the pie: the website promised this stunning rooftop bar in Williamsburg with great skyline views and I immediately booked a reservation. It did not disappoint :) The food and the drinks were amazing--drinks were on the summery side but they have a full stocked bar if a Manhattan in the middle of a heatwave is your thing :) If alcohol is not your thing, their mocktails are definitely a good substitute. We had the burger and the octopus, and the tuna tartare for starters. Each of the plates was great (as you can tell from the lack of pictures). We did have the infamous mousse and so should you! (it now has cold brew liqueur instead of amaro) The staff were great; we got lots of recommendations on drinks and how much to order, and they were very patient with my indecisiveness :P In short, come for the views (and the chocolate mousse), and stay for the cocktails and the food! read more

I came here on Sunday for afternoon holiday tea. The view is fantabulous. The petit honey butter scone with whipped honey butter and jam were FIRE EMOJI omg. Second fav was the smoked salmon. Only con is I wish they came around a bit more often for tea refills or gave us a teapot of our own. Overall a pleasant holiday afternoon tea experience. read more
Dear Bar Blondeau, I love you! Do you love me? Circle Yes or No I'm so happy that I was introduced to this bar. I already booked my next reservation. Make a reservation, even if you're a party of 2! They will turn you away. This place is popular and if they're full you will not get in. You'll just see all the pretty people laughing and enjoying life as you sadly go back into the elevator. Lol I loved everything about this place. There's a fun energy. The cocktails are amazing and the staff is attentive. They found out it was my birthday and offered my table complimentary champagne/Prosecco to toast. So sweet and special. They offer items I would consider tapas portions! These are great as shareables, especially if you want to try multiples on the menu! I wasn't eating meat at the time for lent so I didn't get to try the fried chicken but heard it's epic. I'll try it on my next go. The tuna tartare was fresh. The oysters were bright and briny. The cheese dip dish was alright. Creamy with a smooth texture. Very decadent. The French fries are a Must. It's so good and I wanna bathe in the dipping sauce! The scallops were tender and I nice balance with the subtle creaminess of the white beans. I am so excited to go again. The view is beautiful and overlooks the water into the city. If you go at the right time you get to witness the sunset from Brooklyn and it's beautiful. This is great for groups. Super cute date night option. Also, great for groups of friends. You can do casual or slightly dressy/after work attire. It's a nice 20ish-30s crowd. I love the vibe! read more
Came for drinks before dinner at Le Crocodile. Tried two drinks and both not great. The green one in the photo was too cucumbery. The clear one was just too sweet. Oyster was not fresh and trying to cover with green oil and apples. read more
The drinks were good but the kitchen closed kind of early which was a disappointment, so if you like to chill with your drink and some bar food, come earlier than 10pm. However the view is definitely unbeatable and the outdoor lounge space is great as well read more
Stopped by for a quick drink just to check it out. It's inside the Wythe Hotel - which I didn't know lol so was kind of hard to find. My friend and I were walking round and round the block until the doorman called us in. View was nice! Most of the tables were far from the windows but you could still appreciate the views from all angles. Had the Sunbird, and my friend tried one of the canned Brooklyn Lagers. The Sunbird was delicious! Refreshing and delightfully fizzy, thanks to the yuzu and grapefruit soda. Will definitely be back to try one of their other cocktails. read more
