The razor clam casino, holy multiple expletives, & the scallops, I'd take a bath in that sauce. They blew us away with the flavors & presentation. I'd rate it 6/5 if they'd let me. The food alone was enough to have made celebrating our anniversary special but Sejal was, as a 15 year industry vet, one of the best servers I've ever had in any setting period. She was charming, present, attentive & made an amazing experience spectacular. We'll be back soon, hopefully with more friends, til then stay busy, be well & as always friends have a great service. -Ryan B
Do not bring a date here. Well, actually do bring a date here. Because even if it goes poorly at least it will go poorly next to a cold martini, moody lights, and a sexy bar. An absolute gem of a bar. There is a reason everybody answers maison premiere when talking martinis and oysters. They just do it better. Attention to detail is there. Temperature there. Vibes? There. It's moody, but fast. Dim, but lively. It is everything you want in a cocktail bar, and then some! Workers are awesome. Knowledgable, friendly, and beautiful curators of a lovely martini!
A New Orleans style Oyster raw bar in the heart of Williamsburg Brooklyn. Bar itself is very busy on the weekends and the back courtyard is by reservation only. There are tables on the sidewalk for walk-ins however. Highlights include extensive list of raw oysters from east and West Coast and a wide range of small plates. There is also a creative cocktail list and many wines available by the glass. Consider yourself very lucky if you are able to snag a seat at the actual Oyster bar itself.

I originally had a rezzie for 10pm, but we were running late. Luckily they were able to fit us in even tho we lagged about 30 mins. I honestly know nothing about absinthe, so I just picked something random. I think I ordered the Jade Edouard ($19). I mean, it was fine. One of friend said typically they make it in front of you with the drip, sugar, etc. I didn't even know what that meant when he said it. Had to ask for further explanation. Would have been fun to see it, but it was late and dark. Not sure how much we would've seen at the table? The space itself is very pretty. We actually went to the back patio to take some pix while waiting for our drinks. Lots of greenery. The whole space is very reminiscent of what I would imagine was an house in New Orleans back in the day. Fun place for a last drink. I wouldn't mind coming for an oyster happy hour of sorts. Cute, elegant cocktail bar (I think they also serve oysters but I didn't have them) Stopped in around 4pm on a Sunday and was able to snag a seat for one at the bar. Around 4:30, it suddenly got crowded and every seat was taken. They specialize in absinthe cocktails but I actually tried their Old King Cole martini that is shaken in front of you. It was one of the best martinis I ever had. It's different because they use orange bitters and this cool gin from the UK called Old Raj. It is pricey at $28. My bartender was awesome (didn't get his name though!) The sound level was average in the bar, and the I enjoyed the lowkey decor and dim lighting.
Came here because I follow the guys from TopJaw, and I was not disappointed! The vibes are immaculate! It felt like I walked into old world, New Orleans with some of the strongest martinis I've ever had. Our waiter was super attentive to us, and suggested delicious champagne, a great hibiscus margarita, and the blind lemon Jefferson fizz. I def will come back
Maison Premiere isn't just another oyster bar flexing aesthetics and overpriced cocktails. This place gets it. I came in with one mission, high-brine oysters, and the waiter didn't just take the request seriously, he turned it into a curated experience. I asked for the briniest on the list and instead of rattling off names, he just asked how many I wanted and disappeared. Came back with Orient Point, Edgewater, and Pemaquid; Three absolute masterpieces. Salty, fresh, clean. It was like licking the Atlantic in the best way possible. On the side: warm olives that made me question every sad bar olive I've ever eaten, steak tartare that was rich but balanced, and two drinks, The Shining Path and a Piña Colada. The bartenders looked like they were drowning in orders and still turned out flawless drinks. Vibes? Immaculate. Crowd? Chill but not dead. Ambiance? Romantic enough for a date, casual enough for solo oyster slurping. Zero complaints. I left buzzed, satisfied, and already planning a return. This spot delivers on every level.
Wow! Loved Maison Premiere, from the vibes to the food to the service. Everything was perfect. The menu is pretty extensive, including their wine, oyster and cocktail list. Our waiter, Antonio was so great. He really made the experience because he was so knowledgeable and gave us the best recommendations based on our preferences. My bf got the tableside sazerac service and that was quite cool to see. I don't normally like mezcal but I did enjoy my mezcal cocktail that Antonio recommended, which was pretty fruity/floral forward as I had asked. Onto the food - I was overwhelmed by the oyster choices so we just decided to trust Antonio. My favorite was the Hood Canal! The scallop was amazing and honestly the bread that came with the steak tartare was probably the best bread I've ever had. Do not skip the pasta and the short rib was a solid choice as well. I don't love visiting restaurants more than once due to the abundance of restaurants in NYC but I'll surely make my way back here.
From Absinth to several rewarding plates, which were shared, the kitchen and raw bar exceeded our expectation. Our meals were prepared and presented with precision. Lamb saddle cooked to perfection with an amazing jus...Halibut paired with a Clam Chowder esque chunky broth. 2 winners*****
Stopped in for a post dinner drink and this place was absolutely incredible! The vibes were immaculate and you really feel like you have been transported back in time while you are there. I haven't tried absinthe much and our server was really helpful and walked us through the menu to help us decide what to get. Didn't try any of the food so I can't speak to that but the drinks were delicious!
the biggest selection of oysters ive seen so far in new york. lots of fresh and tasty oysters, familiar and new. vibes inside were very nice and warm, love the decor and the uniforms (feels like id been transported to a different time). dirty rice was a yummy bite as well, lots of good sharing items here. one thing that was interesting was while sitting at the bar they were making our drinks and dropped a glass and spilled glass and ice all over us haha. luckily didnt hurt us but i thought theyd comp the drink or something. would go back though, such a cute spot.
I went with my friend who lives nearby to this place. As he called it. This place has European vibes. It's an old school inspired decor. Reminded me of the le labo distressed look. Anyway we sat outside in the middle of high summer in Brooklyn vibe. The service was slow but it all worked. The cocktails looked amazing. We ordered oysters, mackerel crudo, mussels, crab toast. My friend had the steak tartar. It was all superb. My favorite dish was the crab toast. So light and had a tingle of jalapeños. It's a must! The mussels were great but I found the clams that were in the mussels to be the best part. Can't wait to go back.

This has been added to my top 5 restaurants of the year. We initially opted to sit outside. The garden set up is beautiful. But with high summer temperatures, we shifted indoors. Indoors is smaller, but just as lovely as the outdoor garden. Server was so lovely and very knowledgeable of the oyster. Our second server was good as well. Every dish I tried was a solid 10! MANY east and west coast oyster options. Other food we ordered: Crudo trio (Contained scallops, tuna, and Kanpachi) Crab toast (this was phenomenal. The prettiest cocktail and oyster bar! You're literally transported to France. I was so excited to even be there, that I didn't even think to check out their area in the back which was even cuter! The dirty martini I had was super smooth and accompanied my super fresh oysters perfectly. I wasn't dressed cute at all, and felt very underdressed, but I didn't feel out of place for some reason. To start off- I could not decide what drink to get, it was taking me well over 10 minutes to really gather what their tasting notes were, as I was reading over and contemplating, the host came over and asked if I needed any help, thank god he did. He helped explain the flavor of the drinks (ie how strong the absinthe licorice flavor would be) and help me figure out which one to try from there. Both drinks I had ended up being delicious and not at all too absinthe forward. I came here with my friend that is a pescatarian and gluten free and there were options for all of us to share still and enjoy. The scallop crudo was phenomenal. I didn't expect much even when my friend said it was good until we had one order, and had to get a second. Oysters were delicious and the staff helped us figure out which ones to get based off tasting notes and size we usually prefer. Overall service here was amazing and I love the decor and food. This place was really cool. We stopped in for a nightcap and the hostess let us know that seating was limited and we probably wouldn't be served before last call. We started to walk out but as we did, she followed after us and let us know a table just opened up! Perfect timing. The inside feels like you're in an oyster shack on the Louisiana bayou but the kind of oyster shack that also doubles as a speakeasy at night, if such a thing exists? The oyster shucking bar was super cool and outfitted with large ice baths. The drinks all seemed to be playing on a tiki theme or at least paying homage to the rum trade triangle. We had come from a day of eating and drinking and I couldn't possibly do a sugary type drink so I ordered a dirty martini. It was made perfectly. Others in my party ordered a piña colada which is served in a whole coconut with a shit ton of fresh garnish. We were all impressed. Would definitely return to check out more of the menu and actually eat some food the next time I'm in the area. read more

Hey hey! Allfunnewyork from instagram here :(.We had a little fun during our Mardi Gras celebrations at this oyster bar and absinthe café inspired by New Orleans, NYC & Paris bars. Their cocktails were amazing! And the atmosphere is elegant and refreshing. Perfect for a date night :). We decide to sit at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and explained some of the cocktails and gave his recommendations. We will definitely be back! Visited on thursday night. Initially we booked for the oyster cocktail table but we asked to switch to the yard table. It feels a bit awkward as there are people cracking oyster in front of us. Some might love it but see the picture before you visit! It was low-key french cocktail bar/restaurant. The foods were great! We had dozen of oysters, little clams, lobster rolls. The lobster rolls: a bit pricey but the quality was great. Im not sure if i like it for the price. Oysters: we chose chef selection. They were such a high quality oysters. Fresh. Not too fishy. Provided sauces were great! Highly recommended Cocktails: tried multiple. They were all great! I ordered randomly but every glass was a pleasant surprise. Overall, great experience. Good mood. The only reason i give 4-star is because everything came out so slowly. Anything I order took at least 30 minutes. Finished dishes weren't taken as new dishes were coming out.. I'm not sure if thats how this restaurant is running or problem with my server. However staffs were all very nice read more
Every time I would walk past this restaurant, my eyes would be drawn inside. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities and the vibes reminded me of New Orleans. After shopping and spending time nearby, I decided to check and see how long their wait was. They were super busy, but I was able to get seated right away outside. One of the first items to come out was their bread and butter. They served some sort of infused butter. I've had other ones before, but this one was noticeably different in a good way. I was really impressed by the freshness of the oysters and the steak tartare. All of the cocktails we tried were wonderful! I hate sweet cocktails. The mai tai was perfectly balanced. read more
Came here for pre dinner drinks for birthday celebrations and me and my boyfriend were started with a complimentary glass of Prosecco! Our reservations for dinner were pretty late so we spent a lot of time here and ordered a good variety of drink (at least I did). My favorite would be the Maison Margarita and the Maitai. But definitely go with the sherry cobbler or Casablanca if you favor something sweeter with no bite. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Adonis and ordered this drink twice. I did take a sip and would describe it as an old fashioned that isn't spirit forward. Really good drink. We also got the side of bread and butter which I throughly enjoyed, as well as half dozen oysters. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back again to try their other drinks. read more

So glad I got to finally try this place! It's been on my list for awhile now and last time I tried to go, the wait was too long. Luckily I was able to walk in and had no wait to sit at the bar. I really like the ambiance in here, it feels like you've traveled back in time. The food and drinks here are really good but prepare to shell out a lot of money. It's definitely the best oysters I've had in NYC (if anyone knows if and when they have happy hour, please let me know!). I highly recommend the chef's selection of oysters and lobster roll. read more

Doesn't need anymore reviews but I enjoyed my experience here. Walked in with no reservation on a Saturday afternoon and was seated in the back garden area..which is so cute. Service was outstanding from start to finish. They have a great oyster menu and my selections were yummy and most importantly fresh. I next tried the mussels that were in a flavorful spicy broth..delicious. I'd definitely be back..I bet a date night would prob be stunning here read more

Food: 5 starts - fresh and tasty. I went with an appetite and ordered oysters, tartare, steak, mussels and dessert. Yes, I kept ordering because every plate was delicious. If I had room for more, I would have probably ordered the entire menu. Service: 5 stars - my server was an absolute gem. Stylish, friendly and attentive. My friend and I came here the other night for dinner, after wanting to check it out for a while. I was able to easily make a reservation and once we arrived, we were seated right away at the oyster bar towards the back. The ambiance was beautiful--dimly lit with jazz playing and candles all around. There is also a stunning backyard area, which looked lovely and would definitely want to check out next time. As for food and drinks, I ordered a cocktail made with fresh strawberries and tequila and it was delicious and my friend ordered a glass of rose. We ordered the bread and butter, the gem and chicories salad and six oysters to start. The appetizers were delicious, and my friend said the oysters were great (as I did not partake in eating them). For our entrees, we ordered the lobster roll which was a significant portion of lobster in a delicious bun with a generous side of house made potato chips. I would absolutely come back again and would recommend it if looking for a nice dinner or date spot. read more
Finally made a res for a table and had a great light dinner here! My boyfriend and I tried: + Peacock Throne cocktail + The shining path cocktail - both cocktails were amazing as always + Bunch of west coast and PEI oysters - incredible, they know what they're doing here in the oyster department + Lobster roll - awesome, and a really good deal at $36 + Gem and chicories - good, but overdressed, wouldn't get again Overall I'd say this remains a top-notch spot for cocktails and oysters. Hard to make a full dinner of it, but great if you want light bites or oysters! Also a bonus that you can make a table reservation and just drink (they don't make you order food). read more

We sat in their garden. It was beautiful. It was also partially covered. It rained and they just left us out there. Totally understand having us stay at that table, but our server didn't even come out to give us our drinks when they were ready. He came once it stopped and said he didn't want to get wet. Pretty crazy when the drinks are like $20 and they had already taken about 30 minutes. We ordered some oysters to start. They took so long that we just left after that. Sucked because we were excited to try other stuff, but we didn't want to wait anymore. I'm rating this a 3 solely because of the ambiance in the back patio. It was gorgeous. Just come here for that though, not good service. read more
So happy I stumbled upon this place as I was exploring Brooklyn! I'm an oyster slut so I saw oysters on the outside and went inside. Girl lunch done right!! I told the bartender to make me a cocktail and surprise and he made me something not on the menu which was sweet, strong and delicious. They had absinthe cocktails and this whole place gives a very 1950's feel to it and I love the decor and intimate setting. The outdoor seating looked divine but since I was solo I sat right at the bar and ordered a round of oysters that you choose from a list. I wish the list had the flavor profiles but it didn't so I just chose based off the name and it didn't not disappoint. I actually think one of the cheapest ones was the best and I had to snag a pic of this gorgeous oyster with ruffles. I left feeling sexy, satisfied and divine! read more

For a seafood place known for its vermouth selection, it has a devastatingly poor old fashion. Service is nice and professional. I don't like the first drink so they replaced it with old fashion that I still didn't like. Ambiance is fantastic. Love the music, devour and positive atmosphere. read more

This place has been on my list to go to for a longgg time- and we actually just walked in on New Year's Day and were seated immediately! It has a nice vibe to it- but the servers took a while to take our order and there were only two tables occupied (including us). Our waiter recommended us getting the missionary's downfall- and then came back to tell us they didn't have one of the ingredient's in stock which was a bit disappointing. They oysters were just OK as well...Don't think we'll be going back. read more
