Burger

The regular burger here is amazing ($22). Savory, juicy and even a tad bit sweet. The pickles, onions, and sauce were great. Didn't pay much attention to the buns. Fries were good. I had their beertini which was soooo good. Not a fan of beer but I've been drinking it a bit and on the hunt for a savory cocktail so the olive juice in this rlly did the job and it was only $6. I asked for more olive juice on the side cuz I wanted more saltiness. Mezcal cocktail wasn't rlly good, not bad but the lime they used in it was too sour/ old and I could taste it so it kinda ruined it for me. Service was good. I'll be back for the burger for sure. Maybe I'll also have to try the smash burger. The vibe in here is like a middle America grandmas house meets steak restaurant. Definitely an evening vibe even though I showed up midday lol.

Love their happy hour menu- can't pass up $10 martinis and $10 smash burger and fries !! Their traditional burger is also great. Cozy ambiance and friendly service

Came here last week for dinner before a show at Brooklyn Steel. The place lived up to the "cozy" in its name, especially since it was a rainy night. Ambiance: 5 Service: 5 Drinks: didn't have any but I'm sure they were great Food: 5 Everyone's been talking about the $10 smash burger special, which is admittedly fantastic. But the highlight for me were the sausage meatballs--best meatballs I've ever had. Incredible flavor and texture (it was slightly burnt on the bottom which gave it some crispiness on the exterior). Beet salad and the sticky toffee pudding were also great.

Great service and cocktails. Food is decent, bordering good. We got the tartare which was fresh though too doused in citrus. We also got the bone marrow which was a delight. The steak was well-cooked and fries fine. Service was attentive. But the real stars were the cocktails. Loved the chocolatey drink and their version of espresso martini. Ambiance is cute balance of dark moody elegant but casual.

Booked a table last minute & was pleasantly surprised. I've heard about this restaurant for a while & while in the neighborhood I happened to get a table, Their brunch menu is much more limited than their dinner menu which was disappointing We arrived a little earlier than our resy & was promptly sat. After a few minutes we were greeted by our waitress with water. We already knew what we wanted so we ordered the burger. To my surprise it was really delicious, cooked perfect to how we requested. The fries were the real surprise & the real deal. Think they were hand cut, they were seasoned and cooked just to my liking. Really crunch, lightly salted. It did take them a while to make them, so if you're in a rush this place not be for you. If you're looking to catch up with a buddy or need a place for a decent sized group I would recommended stopping here. The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside, with a full bar and back room full of tables and booths. If in the area again I would definitely like to try them out for dinner.

OMFG YUMMMMMM I arrived in NY and this was my first stop off the plane. I'm OBSESSED. Definitely coming back. The atmosphere? Immaculate. The food? I'm still dreaming about it. The service? Literally perfect. I cannot hype this place up enough. It was a wonderful experience! (Plus I took the rest of the Caesar salad to go and it was even better the next day? How is that even possible?!)

Came for the happy hour special that everyone raves about! We shared a French Onion soup ($18), happy hour smashed burger with fries ($10), and a regular burger with fries. The French onion soup was pricey but delicious - might've been the best bone broth I had in a bit. I enjoyed my smash burger and honestly thought it was better than the full sized burger. We came here looking for a classic burger with sesame bun - as so many photos showed, but unfortunately Cozy Royale changed the bun a few months before we came. We are still on the hunt for the best burgers (with sesame bun - duh!) in the city. For drinks, I got the HH martini ($10) and my husband got a glass of red wine. The martini was delicious, and strong. I also got their version of an espresso martini for a night cap. It was honestly too sweet and I wouldn't get it again. Overall, I would come back for the HH special. Definitely make a resy!

I make it my duty to come here every time I'm in New York. The happy hour menu is great but the Monday steak deal is even better. Pair it with their crispy dirty martini and it's a little slice of heaven.

A friend and I stopped at Cozy Royale on our way to an apartment showing and immediately loved the decor and energy of the place. The happy hour deals are amazing with a burger and fries being $10. We also had the fried pickles to start! Not just well priced but delicious as well. The fries were crispy and salted perfectly and the burger was cooked just right with a dreamy burger sauce to top it off. Cannot recommend Cozy Royale enough!

Cozy Royale is an ideal restaurant! Grabbed a same-day reservation and had a great dinner with my boyfriend. I tried: + Classic martini + Cold brew martini + Heirloom tomatoes + Little gem wedge + Dry aged cheeseburger + Sticky toffee pudding My absolute favorite bites were the fries and the desserts, though the wedge and classic martini were also fantastic. I'll definitely be back. Would be a great spot for a meal pre-Brooklyn Steel show.

True to it's name this place is definitely cozy; think dark wood, booths - an old-school tavern vibe. They have an amazing happy hour - so when we got there at 6:30 it was packed. $10 Martnis and $10 smash burger w/ fries. I opted for Gin while my friend went slightly dirty vodka. NGL a was kind of bummed we didn't get the advertised blue cheese stuffed olives (didn't get to ask if they ran out) but the drinks were cold and mixed perfectly. We ordered the bib salad (a delicious play on a wedge), the dry- aged burger (with raclette bacon jam, arugula and something spicy that really hit it off) and the rigatoni. The burger was the star of the show (all their meats are from meat hook and I think that's where their chef really shines) Rigatoni was fine and we finished the meal with a sticky toffee pudding. Drinks came quickly despite how busy they were and service was 5 star. Will be back .

Cozy with classic tavern vibes. The staff is just impeccable. Everything on the menu is wonderful and I cannot think of anything negative. Cozy Royale is simply a must visit whether grabbing some drinks or a full meal.

Happy Hour smash burger is $10 and worth every penny. Highly recommend the fried pickles. $5 beer shot combo is a better deal than most bars. They do happy hour right highly recommend.

I was not disappointed AT ALL!! First impressions: it's a bit of a compact space, but there's also plenty of tables/seating to choose from....although it does fill in fast!! We came relatively early around 4pm, so we were able to take advantage of some of their Happy Hour prices, including: $14 Fried Chicken Sandwich $10 Cocktails, including the Frozen Espresso Martini I also got the Smash Burger and the Yuzu Sake, which weren't included in the Happy Hour. You order your food & drinks at the bar, but they bring the food out to wherever you're sitting once it's ready. As for the cocktails, they were both great!! The Frozen Espresso Martini was very creatively presented and I enjoyed the look and taste of it. The Yuzu Sake was strong and great quality! For the food, both the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Smash Burger were delicious!! The Fried Chicken Sandwich especially tasted so unique and creative with the sauce on it, but I also just really loved the solid burger and could tell it had excellent quality. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Torst, and I highly recommend stopping by to grab some of their food and drinks!

However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.

He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!

The bar is located on the ground floor of a building at the corner of Union Avenue and Conselyea Street in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. The building has been owned by the Lamonaca family for multiple generations. Beginning in the 1950s, the storefront served as a pharmacy that was run by Lamonaca's great-grandfather. In the 1970s and '80s, it was a gift shop run by his grandfather. Most recently it was an architecture firm. Lamonaca's grandmother still owns the building and even lives in the upstairs apartment. After spending six years at JP Morgan, Lamonca decided to leave the finance world. Although he was interested in finance, it was never his passion. He really loved craft beer though and wanted to open his own place where he could teach people about it. At Beer Karma, Lamonaca has curated a fine selection of beer from local NYC breweries as well as other breweries around the world. I recently visited Beer Karma while I was in Williamsburg to see a concert. Williamsburg is one of my favorite Brooklyn neighborhoods because in addition to the locals being very friendly, there is also a bustling craft beer scene. I was on the lookout for cans by Brooklyn-based Back Home Beer; they're not available in my home state of Connecticut. Beer Karma was cozy and inviting. They had an excellent selection of cans and bottles. I was happy to see that they indeed had cans of Back Home Beer (which I purchased to go). Since I was there, I decided to pull up a seat by the bar and order a draught beer. After looking over the chalkboard menu, I decided to go with Threes Brewing's "Endless Plane" (Wine Barrel-Aged Saison). It was a fantastic beer with delicious notes of white grape and stone fruit; I was very happy with my choice. Everyone at the bar was also very friendly. I had a nice chat with some people about pizza and beer.
