An outdoor patio features red umbrellas shading several tables and chairs, with potted plants and flowers along the walls. The ground is covered with small gravel, and the space is enclosed by brick and building walls, creating a cozy urban setting.

We loved the atmosphere, very tranquil. Inside is softly lit with comfortable looking velvet furniture, and outside there's a quiet patio. My wife enjoyed her matcha latte, and I just had a standard peppermint tea. It's pretty cozy inside with all the furniture, so getting to the patio was a bit tricky with a stroller. The barista was friendly and even moved the furniture out of the way as we were leaving, including the couch someone was sitting on. I'd definitely recommend this as a place to unwind, and we'll be returning very soon.

Started with the fried assortment of shrimp calamari and cod fish served with a nice creamy sauce. The portions are just enough for one person. If you're really hungry not the place for you. And they are a little pricey but it's worth the experience and the food is incredible!

The Highlights: * Polpo (Octopus): This was the standout for me. The octopus was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of saltiness and it paired beautifully with the creamy potatoes underneath. A very well-balanced dish. * Salad: Sometimes simple is best. The greens were incredibly fresh and the dressing was light and balanced--not overpowering at all. * Classic Tomato Spaghetti: You can always judge an Italian place by its red sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, staying true to the traditional Italian style. It was simple, fresh and deeply satisfying. * Chicken Dish: The chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy. It's often a basic choice but they executed it perfectly here. Overall: Naked Dog offers a cozy atmosphere with food that feels both elevated and comforting. Whether you're a fan of seafood or classic pasta, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be coming back!

I hosted a joint birthday party here yesterday for 15 people. I booked the "chefs call" option…read morewhich is a wine and food pairing. After having a tough time scheduling via email, I was put in touch with the manager, Jordan, who was helpful! We had 3 people in our group who wanted non-alcoholic wine pairings (two sober people and one pregnant person) and we were told they would accommodate us. I also informed Jordan of the allergies in our group. One person was dairy/gluten free, and two others had shellfish allergies. She assured me this would be no issue. We arrived on time yesterday, and everything went downhill from there. First, our waiter seemed to hate us from the very start. He introduced himself, asked who the birthday people were (and then didn't say happy birthday), and then said all of us would be having non-alcoholic drinks. When we said that only 3 people wouldn't be drinking, and the rest of us were going to (hopefully) be consuming regular wine, he rolled his eyes and told us "that's the note he received." Then, a woman came from behind the bar and said she would help us for now but "she's really supposed to be behind the bar." Every single time the waiter came to our table, he asked us who was drinking alcoholic drinks and who was drinking non-alcoholic drinks. He couldn't remember the 3 N.A. people after 6 or so courses and pairings. We were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Singling out sober people consistently for 3.5 hours is....a choice. The first wine pour occurred and several people at the table were skipped. When we asked for those people to get their pours, the waiter inspected their glasses to ensure that they hadn't already been poured and wanted more wine. You mess up and were accused of trying to sneakily get more? Offensive and awkward. Our first course came out 20 minutes after our wine. It was a really nice charcuterie board with an assortment of cheese, jam, honey, and meat. It was beautiful (and the best part of the entire experience), however, because it was one large board and not a few smaller boards, we actually had to stand up and bring the board from one side of the table to the other in order to share. Bizarre. What is even more bizarre is that it came with no crackers. 25 minutes after the cheese and meat was served, we received crostini which was good, but 25 minutes too late. Our next course was more bread with cheese. Then, marinated mushrooms in an endive cup. Then, a salad. Not clear why the salad came 4th and my guests started to grow concerned (as did I) that we would never get a hot food course. While the courses and wine were served, NEVER ONCE did anyone tell us what wine we were drinking or why they paired the wine with the course. Additionally, when we asked what course was coming next or how many were left, no one knew the answer. At this point, we had been there 3 hours and wanted to leave. My guests were literally planning where to go out to eat after this so they could feel full. We asked what was coming next and if we could potentially speed up the service, they told us again that they didn't know. Finally, hard roast beef sandwiches came out along with chicken bites that allowed each guest to have a single bite. One waiter told us they were buffalo bites, another told us they were soy glazed. I think they were soy glazed? I guess I'll never know. They were dry with no dipping sauce. IMPORTANTLY, when serving the chicken bites to our gluten free guest, the waiter told her they were gluten free because "the fryer they use is so hot it burned the gluten off." When she politely said that's not how it works, he rolled his eyes and walked away. It's a MIRACLE no one in our group was served something they were allergic too. I guess it's a good thing much of the food never came. Desperate to leave, we asked them to give us back our dessert we brought (cupcakes) and to get us the check. At this point, I was fighting tears. I was embarrassed that my entire party seemingly had a bad time and that we were being treated so poorly. The hostess seemed to recognize how upset I was (despite me trying to hold it in) and offered us an ADDITIONAL COURSE. I told her thank you, but we cannot spend another hour and a half waiting for it (we left before the last course, I have no idea what it would have been or how much longer we would have to stay for two more courses). They ended up giving us $100 off which was a nice gesture but truly insufficient to remedy what was a really embarrassing experience. Gratuity of 20% was mandated despite the unacceptable service and I didn't fight it. I just wanted to get out of there. I toured this place as a potential wedding venue for my upcoming wedding and was very close to booking it. I'm grateful to have had this experience to easily rule it out. TLDR - This place is not equipped to handle a large party or any party at all. The staff needs immense training or someone could be seriously injured.

Bouquet is a small business that hasn't promoted much on Instagram or Eater, so it seems to have gone under the radar. I'm hoping I can do it justice as the first reviewer on this platform. We stumbled upon Bouquet during a mini bar crawl in Greenpoint. We initially planned to hit a few spots, but ended up settling in here for most of the night. We were mostly served by Eric who I believe was the owner operator. He's a NYC native who is super passionate about wine. The wine bar focuses on natural wines and other wines which emphasize minimal additives. The goal here seems to be to sell from producers who try to capture magic in a bottle. The wine list is three pages, so it's long but still approachable. There are about ten wines available by the glass. I started with a Montelpuciano. I sampled a bit and found it to be gassy and funky. The bartender was receptive to my feedback and made another recommendation - a different wine from the Loire Valley. The second option was more of what I was looking for. It was a more structured wine with a more traditional palate. I decided to eventually circle back to the Montelpuciano for my second glass. I'm stubborn and like to give a different flavors a chance to grow on me. I'm a person who doesn't like blue cheese but continually tries it just to make sure. The aroma of this wine was minerally. The best description I have is an Iron adjacent smell. Almost like blood but not the same. The flavor was earthy and rooty. It was the best part of the wine. It had a short finish. I'm no wine expert, but I can tell I was tasting something special. The last time I had wine like this was at a wine making competition. I also tried some of the wine on draft. It was an easy going wine that you could easily have a few of. We didn't have any food, but it seemed like the signature of the menu was their smash burgers. They also had some small bites like fries, cheese, olives, charcuterie, and salads. The other big items were schnitzel and the Rigatoni Alla Vino. The operator said the Rigatoni was an ode to a dish from Don Peppe's - a locals' favorite Italian restaurant in Queens. The space is welcoming. It part of the new wave of wine bars that aren't stuffy. It's about trying fun and experimental wines. Young stuff. Not necessarily hawking out for carefully aged vintages. It's fun and the team is very hospitable. Music is what I'd expect from a Queens local. Lots of 90s and 2000s hip hop. Playlist was filled with A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, and Common. They have some big speakers and turntables for vinyl records. They had a new record from Future which I suppose is something to boost for audiophiles. Acoustics here were as good as any listening lounge that we've been to in NYC. Entertainment wise, they have some board games behind the bar. No TVs inside the bar, but they have a projector in the backyard which can be used for special events. Two gender neutral restrooms. The one I used was handicap accessible. There is a step to enter the establishment, but they have a button to press in order to request assistance with entry. Good luck to Bouquet! They'll certainly be my go to for wine in Greenpoint.

The bar (in the former Spuyten Dyvil space) is almost comically different in look and feel from SD. It is elegant and has an almost suburban feel. I walked in 29 seconds before they opened and they told me so, and I went across the street to walk around bc I was meeting a friend and by the time I went back they were packed (this annoyed me...slightly....). :-/ However, we were given a table, even though there was some confusion at first as to whether we could have one if we weren't eating. But we did have food! And they were friendly, and the service was unexpectedly focused and tight. I'm not a huge wine guy, but I enjoyed the glasses of wine I had here. The menu was lovely. The small plates were very good, but Rude Mouth has taken *more than a small cue* from Bar Jambon, in Gramercy, the wine bar connected to the Michelin-starrred restaurant Casa Mono - in their wines and their small plates (ham, bread, butter, etc.) Who can fault them, really? Are you gonna hate on every rock band that wants to sound a little like My Bloody Valentine? Enjoyable, serious place, good wine, solid food, nice vibe, no real complaints, worth your time.
