Got an iced latte here the other day. The space is huge! It would be a great place for meeting a friend or working (if you don't mind the noise from other people chatting). They have a good coffee selection. Prices are normal. The service was fast and friendly. Great cafe overall!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops I've tried to date (and I've tried A LOT). I ventured out to bushwick from the city to try this place and it did not disappoint. It has such a homey vibe and everyone working is incredibly friendly. The espresso was absolutely delicious. I've been thinking about it since I was there last weekend. the place definitely fills up so I would recommend getting there earlier if you want a seat as you can tell this is THE neighborhood spot. I wish I tried the food as I saw a few people eating these toasted cheese sandwiches that actually looked mouth watering. Another girl had a yogurt bowl with honey that looked incredible as well. I will be back and have told all my friends about this cute spot!!

It was the 14th Annual Bushwick Collective Black Party. It was advertised as starting at 10am and we parked at 10:30. Not.much was set up. Nook saved the day! Not only did we use their bathroom (thank you!) But I got an iced strawberry matcha, an everything croissant and pretzel bites. Everything was good! I would do it all over again. Footnote: Quaint inside. Quirky decor. I fell in love with the little built in shoe rack filled with bowling shoes on display. Also a little quiet spac area (no shoes allowed)

Where Fruit Meets Foam and Wi-Fi Knows Its Place If you've ever wished your morning brew came with a side of fresh fruit and a sense of civilized boundaries, let me introduce you to your new favorite haunt. This coffee shop doesn't just serve great coffee--it serves principles. The espresso? Bold and nuanced, like a well-read lover who also composts. The non-dairy options are plentiful (almond, oat, coconut, and possibly a small wizard with a milk alternative spellbook). And they don't just plop a sugar jar on your table--they offer honey, because here, even the sweeteners have standards. Now let's talk fruit. Not a sad banana or a weary apple. I'm talking actual fresh fruit--vivid, juicy, seasonal. It's the kind of produce that makes you consider calling your high school health teacher to say, "You were right." The space itself is a masterclass in ambience. Indoors, you'll find thoughtfully designed seating, and--wait for it--laptop-free zones. Yes, a place where eye contact returns and nobody's writing their screenplay three inches from your avocado toast. Outside, there's patio seating that catches just the right amount of sun without searing your soul. In short, this place is what happens when a café decides to grow up and glow up. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their caffeine with conscience and their fruit without fructose syrup.

Weak ass matcha, culinary grade not ceremonial. Cute spot to study though and very packed.

Chai latte for a great start to the day. The atmosphere is really cozy. It was a little packed but the sunlight was amazing. Great playlist too

This is HANDS DOWN my favorite coffee shop to come and read a book I've ever been to in my entire life. The name Nook is an absolute perfect name for this place. This is one of the coziest coffee spots I've ever been too I showed up right at 9am and was welcomed by some lovely staff and there were only about 5 people in here and I found my perfect cozy spot in the back to read a book where no laptops are allowed. I can not overstate how cozy this place is. My Cappucino was crafted excellently and the everything croisssant was wonderful with a cream cheese filling. I stayed for about 2 hours and by the time I left there was defintely more people but it didn't bother me and still was cozy and quiet enough to continue reading. Even though I live nowhere near here I will continue to make an effort to keep coming back over and over again to have a perfect weekend morning.

Cool spot in Brooklyn. Very modern eclectic style. The food looked good, but we just had a tea. That was very well liked and the staff was personable. Clean bathroom as well, had to bring my son.

Came around 12pm on a Saturday and it was packed, as one would expect around lunchtime on a weekend. I managed to snag a seat at the larger communal table after trying out a high-top that creaked loudly at any movement. I ordered an ice matcha latte with oat milk and an almond croissant. The latte was fine, and the croissant was flaky, but without any of the crispiness and all of the soft moistness. The barista calling out drinks would alternate between calling out people's names or the drink order, which was confusing for me because I didn't want to accidentally take someone else's drink. When I tried confirming that my drink was mine, the worker kinda gave me attitude and just repeated what the drink order was. Decent spot for a drink, and the sandwiches looked appetizing, but not appetizing enough for me to want to return.

I finally got to go to the Nook and try this Spicy Turkey sandwich that I wanted to try for a long time. But it wasnt all that, is ok, good presentation. Yeah, yeah I know... i like my food to come out pretty looking One thing I dont know is if they ran out of spinach cause i only saw 2 leaves I still ate it , and dont be afraid to order it is NOT spicy at all. The service is pretty quick for a busy place, i guess depending of what you order but i just waited maybe 8 min The ambiance cool, casual i like the atmosphere. Plenty of seats Its near a dog park, that make this place better Can go get your breakfast with your furry friend and then head to the park

I was expecting inner decor is more clean & modern. but it's not so fresh inside..... :'( What I liked about this cafe is Non-judgmental vibes and free water was setting up. if you're going there around 2pm, all the seats are taken, you may have to wait about 5-10min. There're many seats are available outside but it's very cold....... I might come back during the summer time when outdoors are more available :)

I was not disappointed AT ALL!! First impressions: it's a bit of a compact space, but there's also plenty of tables/seating to choose from....although it does fill in fast!! We came relatively early around 4pm, so we were able to take advantage of some of their Happy Hour prices, including: $14 Fried Chicken Sandwich $10 Cocktails, including the Frozen Espresso Martini I also got the Smash Burger and the Yuzu Sake, which weren't included in the Happy Hour. You order your food & drinks at the bar, but they bring the food out to wherever you're sitting once it's ready. As for the cocktails, they were both great!! The Frozen Espresso Martini was very creatively presented and I enjoyed the look and taste of it. The Yuzu Sake was strong and great quality! For the food, both the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Smash Burger were delicious!! The Fried Chicken Sandwich especially tasted so unique and creative with the sauce on it, but I also just really loved the solid burger and could tell it had excellent quality. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Torst, and I highly recommend stopping by to grab some of their food and drinks!

However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.

He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!

After spending six years at JP Morgan, Lamonca decided to leave the finance world. Although he was interested in finance, it was never his passion. He really loved craft beer though and wanted to open his own place where he could teach people about it. At Beer Karma, Lamonaca has curated a fine selection of beer from local NYC breweries as well as other breweries around the world.
