I am what you'd call a Regular. I come here nearly every morning for coffee. I've met so many wonderful, kind, friendly & all around beautiful people who work here. Every time I come in, they greet me with a smile... & I know firsthand this isn't always easy, being in the service industry. Sometimes they're swamped with making very particular coffee orders & they're still so kind & patient to each person they help, all while making some of the BEST coffee I've had. Even Europeans would be happy with their skill / knowledge of the espresso machine. Suggestions on what to try: -iced hibiscus tea -americano (with honey...I know I know but try it) -cold brew -yogurt parfait -spicy nook sandy -hot apple cider with a shot of chai They also have certain events here each day / night like trivia, knitting circles, chess tournaments, sidewalk craft sales, etc. Lots of people come here to do work on their laptops because it's so quiet. Just please don't be those people who hang out for hours & don't order anything. It is an establishment that exists to make money after all, both for the company & for the workers. This spot was worth the long and sketchy walk it took to get there from my apartment. Yes, the coffee was pricey but that's everywhere these days. It was delicious and well made. The customer service is excellent, and I had a pleasant interaction with every staff member there. Everyone is super sweet and welcoming. A customer sitting next to me got a sandwich that looked and smelled INCREDIBLE and made me envious of meat eaters, hahaa. I believe it might have been the Spicy Nook with turkey. Came here to do some work on a weekday and it was packed but thankfully i got to sit right away. The staff are super chill and friendly while the overall vibe was definitely focused when I was working but I'm guessing it becomes more social during the events, I got the moroccan mint tea which was pretty good as well but nothing crazy. heyyyy humans- this place has a few things going for it. food is p good. had the peppy pesto and a turmeric tea. the sandwich was warm with melted cheese and red peppers. the pesto came on the side, which I thought was a little weird but i just ended up dunking my sandwich in the pesto. the pesto itself was great. tasted like homemade. a little tangy which i like. the sandwich was a bit on the smaller side and also pricey for the amount. the baristas were nice, but not any out of the ordinary type of service. basic "hello, how are u". nice people. food took a little longer than expected but thats ok because it tasted good. the general atmosphere was library type. vintage tables and chairs. it just felt like a place u come to do homework. me like this place read more

Have been coming here for the past few months now regularly and it's a great workspace and cafe. They have events throughout the week which great to see and take part in some. The coffee is just okay. I get a normal drip and 60% of the time no matter the time of day I come it's just above warm. The music can be a little loud some days but that's not a real gripe but important to note if you prefer a quieter place to sit. Their sandwiches are a hit. Spicy Nook is a personal favorite. I was recently hanging out in this particular Bushwick neck of the woods and started and ended my day at Nook. I can't remember the last time I went to any food-related establishment twice in one day, unless you count all the many times I've forgotten something annoying on my grocery list like a FRESH thyme sprig that a recipe claims my world will not be the same without. Anywho, I want one of these cafes in my neighborhood, and I want it NOW. This is the perfect coffee shop! The coffee is excellent - something that should be a given with cafes on every corner eager to rob you of $5+ for a plain drip coffee, but alas, often leave you wanting more and better. I can vouch for both cold brews and espresso shots here. But what really makes me halfway understand how the Friends crew could possibly manage to hang out in a coffee shop for ten seasons is the atmosphere at Nook. They have a little something for everyone - coffee, snacks, books, board games, whimsical decor, and sectioned off little nooks offering small groups a little privacy. If I were to design a coffee shop, I'd like to believe that it would come out looking like Nook. Still not convinced? I found this spot recently and I am so glad I came across it. Super cute coffee shop with lots of space to sit inside or outside and the coffee is great! I had an iced latte, I was so happy with it and loved the ambiance so much that I forgot to take a picture of the coffee! Where do I even start... this place is phenomenal. 10/10 in every category. The coffee is exquisite, the staff is so warm and friendly they feel like family. The location itself is unbeatable - it's designed so well it's a place you can easily hang out for several hours. They have books, vinyl records, and board games- including my personal favorite settlers of catan. Could not possibly recommend this place more. I like it so much, I'll walk 20 minutes to get here, passing dozens of other coffee places on the way- let that sink in. read more

I get it almost every time and I'm telling you--it absolutely slaps. The only downside is just how crowded it gets (and I mean consistently impossible to find a place to sit unless you get there EARLY), but what can you expect from such a popular spot? Business is clearly booming and it seems they can hardly manage it! My girlfriend placed her order for a $9 sandwich and found herself waiting an absurd amount of time. She meant to get something quickly because she had an appointment, but as she stood there and watched customer after customer order and leave, she felt neglected. She tried to catch the attention of the barista, but she went out of her way to ignore her, even spending time laughing and chatting with a friend in the back!!!! My girlfriend didn't want to make a fuss but waiting more than thirty minutes after paying for a sandwich is crazy. Instead of ignoring paying customers, a simple assurance would go a long way. Nook is undoubtedly one of my favorite spots in Bushwick. It's truly a one of a kind coffee shop. It's huge and there's like 3 different seating areas, or "nooks" that all have different vibes. Comfy as hell. They have a killer cold brew, and really tasty sandwiches and pastries. AND it doubles as a bar! They get their beers from local Brooklyn breweries, and they're all gas. The service is incredible. The staff are all super cool and the nicest people ever. Great music to set the good vibeys. Yeah the vibes are just immaculate. Like, bruh, they got games here.
