    Flourless chocolate cake

Meadowsweet is located within a short walk of the JMZ train station. Passing by several times but never stepping in, my husband and I made a date night here. Our evening began at 7 on a Friday and it wasn't too packed yet. As time went on, it became bustling. I took advantage of the restaurant week 3-course meal menu. Started with the octopus with chorizo, salmon as a main, and the flourless chocolate cake for the dessert. My partner ordered off the menu, the broccolini and the spiced duck breast, all very scrumptious! Starters: Octopus and chorizo was nice and smoky, broccolini was crispy and had hints of tanginess from the sauce. Mains: The salmon entree was nice and light - reminder that we're still in the summer season, whereas the duck was heavier in flavor and body, prepping us for the autumn weather. Dessert: flourpart of the 3-course meal was very rich and a bit too sweet to my liking. Overall a very enjoyable atmosphere and lovely staff!

4/5 - Would recommend, but try to avoid outdoor seating. We were seated outside, which wasn't ideal too many bugs made it a bit uncomfortable. If possible, request indoor seating. That said, the overall experience was fantastic. My mother-in-law was in town, and I took her to a live performance happening just across from the restaurant. We dined at Meadowsweet in Williamsburg bk, which has such a cool, laid-back vibe. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the food truly impressed. The American Wagyu literally melts in your mouth....unreal. I sampled my mother-in-law's roasted chicken roulade, and it was packed with flavor. The salmon, cooked medium-well, was also amazing. Since it's Restaurant Month, we got to enjoy a great variety from the menu, and everything we tried was a hit. The cocktails were just as good balanced and refreshing. Overall, a great spot with elevated food and a great atmosphere. Just be sure to sit inside if you can!

I've never done this before, but I must start this review with a significant warning: parking in the area is extremely limited. I would highly recommend that you take public transportation if public transit is an option available to you. Now that I have that out of the way, I've given Meadowsweet the highest possible stars because they deliver quality and excellence across all areas. I could not have been more pleased with the service level and the quality of my meal. On this particular occasion, brunch was on the menu, I must say, I was impressed that they have a very eclectic menu with a very farm-to-table experience. To see fried green tomatoes on a brunch menu in Williamsburg was a bit surprising, but I delighted in every bite. In the final summation, Meadowsweet deserves high marks, and if they keep delivering variety, exceptional service, and quality, I'm confident they will continue to receive applause.

This place was too good not to write a review! We went during Restaurant Week and everything was delicious! I had the cavatelli nero as a starter and it could have easily been a meal. The seafood was fresh and so flavorful. For my entree, I had the burger. It was so JUICY and the bun was super buttery. For dessert, i had the flourless chocolate cake. I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The cocoa crunch and coconut anglaise definitely elevated the whole experience. Lastly, I did the cocktail tasting menu, which I thought was pretty cool. This is probably the best restaurant week experience I've had. Also, service was great. This place is first date, girls' night, and group dinner approved

Had dinner here recently. Sat at the bar and received good service from the bartender from California. We had the Salmon and Babette. We're hoping to get the Duck however it had just sold out before we ordered so will have to get it next time. We had the fluke tartare and Octopus for appetizers. Both were very good as were the cocktails. We will return to hopefully get the duck.

We went to Meadowsweet for an event to try some of their tasty dishes. The inside was very open and bright, with a fully stocked bar. We tried Zero Proof drinks, Phony Negroni, and Al's Classic N/A Golden. They were both pretty good, but especially the Phony Negroni was really good! The first dish we tried was Crispy Baby Artichokes, which was delightful. I haven't really been a big fan of artichokes, but I will happily have this dish again and again! Then, Tagliatelle with chanterelle, truffle, and parmesan. Pasta was cooked just right, with an amazing truffle aroma and flavor. Next was Spanish Octopus that was cooked perfectly, with a note of smoky flavor. It had a nice kick from harissa without being too spicy. The last savory dish was Spiced Duck Breast. Tender and juicy, not too chewy, but the perfect texture. Crust of the duck was maybe my favorite bit. Delicious! Dessert was Flourless Chocolate Cake. It had the perfect gooey center, which was the best! So chocolatey without being overwhelming. We had such amazing time here. Everything we had was freakin' amazing! We will definitely go back for more delicious food in a near future.

The restaurant is located in a lovely neighborhood in Williamsburg, perfect for walking around in the summer. Aware that they used to have a Michelin star, I went in with somewhat heightened hopes but also not too expectant -- then was surprised with an incredible meal start to finish. The whisky cocktail was really well balanced, clean and on point, crafted better than most bars. The octopus chorizo and spiced duck breast were even more delicious; from the first mouthwatering wafts when the dishes are placed on the table to the wonderful blend of flavors, everything delivered perfectly. When you ask for the bill, it comes with a small coconut dessert that's warm and chewy. I savored every bite of it and still think about it now. Beginning to end everything delivered! Even the leftovers I brought home and shared apparently tasted very good. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is considering going.

Meadowsweet is a cute little restaurant, perfect for a date night or an intimate night out with a girlfriend. I read somewhere that it used to have a Michelin star. I must say, the service is still reflective of that. I wish I got our waitress's name but she was so attentive and sweet. I was having a dry cough due to the dry air and change in Fall weather and at the end of our meal, she gave me some hot water with lemon and honey which really soothed my throat! The only reason why I am taking one star off is the food. Granted, we weren't that hungry and only ordered two dishes so I will come back to try more! We got one of their most popular dishes - the Spanish octopus and chorizo. The octopus itself was cooked nicely but I wasn't a fan of the lentils and not sure if it paired well with the chorizo. The duck breast however was chef's kiss! I would definitely come back for this alone, from the tenderness of the duck to the sweet potato mash. They also do make a great espresso martini! One thing I must give them credit for is they love up to its farm to table claim - everything was really fresh.

tried most of the menu and loved it! few are a must order and some are not, overall a great pick for a big group so you can try their extensive appetizer menu the food: must orders are definitely the truffle pasta, tuna tartare, fried green tomatoes, burrata, and duck. the pasta is so evidently freshly made, the tuna tartare is seasoned beautifully, the green tomatoes are my personal favorite by far! you can skip the chicken, fish, and octopus but they were all fine. the drinks: sake was smooth and champagne was crisp! the space: dimly lit so kind of hard to see what you're eating the service: it was ok - didn't really check in and not great at communicating

Those who've read my prior reviews know that Brooklyn's Broadway is one of my favorite thoroughfares in the city. In addition to the grittier sections under the J/Z, the quieter Western end of the street near the East River hosts a number of notable eateries, of which Meadowsweet is probably the most well-regarded. We both wholeheartedly agreed that the broccolini appetizer was one of the best bites we had this year. Served with sautéed breadcrumbs for a bit of crunch and a healthy dose of parmesan and (quality) butter, it was decadent yet not overpowering and set a strong tone for the meal. The vegetarian main was a bit disappointing - it's a bit of a hodgepodge medley of vegetables including cauliflower, some varieties on hummus and two falafels. The very generous garnishing of dill was overpowering, and I just didn't know where to place the dish in my head. It seems like perhaps a selection of small plates is the best move here, as it's otherwise a charming option for a more upscale dinner on the "Southside."

This was some of the best food I've had in a long time. The burrata and stone fruit was amazing!!!!! The roast chicken was also very juicy and savory and the passion fruit sorbet was some of the best sorbet I've have in the states. Every thing I had was absolutely delicious, the staff was friendly and we never had to ask them for anything. I cannot wait to come back.

Really nice staff at this place. It's a simple place with a comfortable aesthetic, which is nice for maybe a holiday meal with the family. The food was good, not great. The starters were quite good in the broccolini and salad. The American waygu was underwhelming and would not recommend as the meat was not the greatest quality unfortunately.

One of our favorite new finds in Brooklyn. We had no idea what we were walking into for dinner (we had brunch here before) and let me just say: MAKE A RESERVATION. Food was cooked to perfection. The duck breast is amazing and the sides we got...just....go. We'll be coming back for sure.

The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates.
